Thanks to the static, the missile could not lock on to the Sentry II. Using it's airscoop, the Sentry II dodged out of the way.

A hail of lasers flew torwards Josh Hu.

  • IC: Josh HuJosh wondered if the robots would ever catch on. They were literally throwing ammunition for him to use. He activitied his energy shield which absorbed the lasers. Josh piloted the Thunder Striker around Gunzer's Sentry II, while the energy cannon quickly charged and readied the shot, and his mech fired a concentrated laser shot at Gunzer 001 from behind.

The G-Machine continued to slowly walk forward, its titanic steel mass rocked by blasts from the enemy. Although it seemed as if it was straining, the unit had been built for such things. It would take a large amount of firepower to disable a Grand Titan, and unless the sentries across the bridge doubled in number, their attacks just would not cut it.

"All units," said Garry, the bald man speaking into the radio with a commanding tone, "try and flank the enemy while they have their attention on me."

Coilguns rattled once more, his mech launching off two more salvos into the enemy force.

The Sentries responded to the Great White Shark's attacks with missiles of their own, both explosives slamming each other in a glorious fireball. Now with another sentry torn to pieces by Escape, the robots number was dwindling fast, and their squadron leader was a smoking corpse. It was time for a tactical retreat. New orders were given to the robots, and the massive gates on the robot side opened. Two R-1 Rammers emerged from the shadows, speeding towards the battle, gatling guns blazing. Their orders are to blitz the humans and escort the remaining sentries and sentry II's back to base.

Drone 0350 used his plasma sword to slice apart the missile before it hit him. The Thunder Striker was becoming a higher priority target after that stunt that took down the Thunder fury, and the robots wanted revenge. The Gatling gun that was mounted on Sentry 0350's left arm rotated, slowly at first, but with ever-increasing speed, eventually firing. The hot lead erupting from the Sentry II's gun couldn't be absorbed by the energy shield, which would soon falter under the hail of bullets.

The two Sentries walked slowly backwards, firing off volleys of lasers at the enemy battle machines.

Okay, seriously? The robots just had to send more tanks to the fight. And just when we were about to win, too! More scum to clean up, I guess. I Charged ahead of the G-Machine, senting bursts of laser and tracer fire at the sentries. These robots would pay.

"Fall back behind me!" commanded Garry, doing his best to maneuver the G-Machine into the firing ranges of the enemy units. "If we are not careful, then it will be easy for them to take us all down!"

R-1 Rammers were dangerous units, and could easily tear a less armoured mech into pieces with their powerful weapons. Coordinating their attacks was key if the human forces wanted to achieve victory today. Hopefully he would be able to force the enemy to concentrate on him again, so the others could take them down.

"Great White Shark! Join me in soaking in the enemy attacks. We need to make sure our fellow units can flank the robots!"

"Your suicidal overconfidence will not help us win today. Please, pull back before you are overwhelmed."

Such concentrated fire from the enemy was something that Garry and Jack's mechs could handle, not the smaller unit that Cyrista piloted. The bald man did not want to see the younger man die here; in fact, he did not want to see any of his fellow pilots die in this skirmish.

  • OOC:

Gravs I have no choice but to join your fabulous RPG. <3

Also, I notice a disturbing lack of robot characters.

Don't worry! I am here to remedy this with the very best robot ever!

    Designation X-71
Gender: None, but with masculine programming like most robots.
    Age: 64
    Species: Robot
Appearance: X-71’s a Devastator class robot, all silver plating and menacing eyes. He is an older ‘bot too, and although he keeps himself on top of the latest operating systems and physical upgrades, he has a fine collection of battle scars. He is a bit taller than the other robots as well, one of the only ways to tell he was made on an outdated skeleton
Skills: He’s smarter and more cunning than drones, and is also an excellent hand to hand combatant. He has even taken out a few human battle mechs with nothing but his physical abilities and a well placed bomb. A good shot with a gun.
Personality: X-71 is one of the more human robotic units. He makes sure to custom tailor his operating system that way, because X-71 deeply understands the value of understanding his foes. He also wants to be able to innovate more than his robotic brethren, who’s often mindless demeanor frustrates him to no end. Despite this, he is still entirely obedient to his master, Mecha One, and his suitably terrified of his commander’s often fatal disciplining to respect him as well. X-71 is cunning, and has a deep rooted hatred of humans.
Weaknesses: X-71 is not an exceptional pilot, and often finds himself outflown by human fliers. He also has the robotic tendency of underestimating his opponents, although not as much as most. He has weaker armor than the bronze colored drones. (Also he's played by me and I have a habit of letting myself lose fights :P)
    The Firefly
    Type: Fire Vulture
Equipment: Instead of a flamethrower, the Firefly sports a powerful laser gatling gun on it’s right arm. It’s left is a dexterous claw hand, capable of ripping open weaker armor and even handling hand held guns.
Appearance: The Firefly is a bit more sleek than most fire vultures, not looking like it was thrown together from spare pieces like it's fellows- this mech is obviously well crafted and well loved.

  • IC: Sakajima Nori

"Sakjima-SAN," I corrected as the Uplink Operating System assessed the internal damages needing manual attention. "And for the love of your mechanic can you stop shooting with that busted up weapon?! I could get caught in the kick, or the crossfire, or misplace a wire and blow the whole bridge up with a ANOTHER over-charged Core." I was being emotional, but fair. His mech was in no condition to continue strafing the enemy. Part of me expected the arm to blow off after each bullet left the chamber from the kick alone. Pulling my hands from the control sticks, I nimbly grabbed the ground-pack of tools I'd need from the right of my cockpit and jumped out, fingers snagging against the hips of Great White Shark. My legs dangled awkwardly until I pull myself up farther and got a good foothold in an exhaust vent. Even when disused, the machinery was scorching hot. Without the proper gloves and footwear of a battlefield mechanic I'd have melted my limbs off from the stunt. I looked cool.

The HUD screen remained active as I worked, tools dangling from the inside of the pack on lanyards in case of an accidental fumble. I had to work with one hand at first, my right clinging against a plate of carbon-fiber alloy that was bent inwards from the impact of a ruptured Core, white paint sanded off to reveal the gunmetal sheet-plates beneath. Eventually a firm mounting point was established with the magnetic grapple on my belt (yay for the wonders of mechanic tools), allowing me to dangle by my hips, feet planted firmly against the armor as I were running up it. "We got a few wires," I relayed back; "but honestly it's far better than I had expected from an explosion of that size. I really need to meet the designer of this armor plating."

  • IC: Zyki (Tenchi Bridge)

Escape launched itself upwards and back as the Sentries opened fire on it. The mech popped up a warning as one of the jump-jets was hit at the base, nearly flying off into the mist.

Escape landed behind the much larger Great White Shark and G-Machine, using their bulk for defense as the R1 Rammers started their attack. Taking up a position a few feet behind the G-Machine, Zyki grabbed out Escape's pistols and added her lasers to the hail crossing back and forth.

While doing so, she opened up a private radio channel with Cyrista and spoke.

"Cyrista.. please.. Don't be too rash.. No need to lose your life over one of the 'bots weekly raids.."

He often will not completely follow other's plans, to prevent the possibility of him bring backstabbed. You might not see it like that right now, but I'll try to establish it better.IC:"Sure, Zyki. I'm coming in right behind you." Cyrista carefully flew his mech into position behind G-machine and the Great White Shark. Hovering slightly above their head level to get a better shot, he opened fire with his machine guns.

    IC:(Robot Force)

The six Missiles bound for the Robots were all either dodged by the R1-Rammers, intercepted by the might of their 4 laser machine guns, or maneuvered off-target via flares. Cyrista's hit-and-run attack with his swords heavily damaged a sentry, yet it still managed to limp back to base. But cyrista had gambled too much, and his mech took quite a lot of fire from the gatling guns. Luckily, the pilot of the Reclaimer suffered only a few minot injuries.

The R1-Rammers both did a sharp U-turn, their gatling guns swiveling behind them to lay down cover fire on the humans. The Sentries and Sentry II's turned around and broke out in a run, trying to get out of range of the immense human firepower. They made their way past the now-closing gate to the robot-controlled Southern half, heading for repairs. The Battle was over almost as soon as it had begun, and the humans celebrated another victory. For now.

  • OOC:Two profiles for approval.

    Name: Panzer-009
Gender: N/A, programmed with male characteristics.
    Age: 27
    Species: Robot
Appearance: Panzer is a Devastator-class machine, and as such, his base characteristics are the same as they. However, he varies more from that template than many. His silver chassis is in many areas painted a jet black, and the claw-like pincers of most of his brethren are traded in for human-esque hands. He stands slightly taller than most of his fellows, and walks with a certain mechanical grace. His optics, rather than the usual red, are a dark orange in coloration.
Skill(s): At his core, Panzer-009 is a strategist. While most of the robots are limited in their thinking, Panzer is innovation incarnate. Why bother with the same tactics over and over, if the enemy will only learn and adapt to them? His ability to think outside of the metaphorical box, though not nearly to the extent of his leader, makes him a deadly opponent. He also is highly knowledgeable about the construction and abilities of various models of battle machine, knowledge accumulated through many battles. Knowledge is power, and Panzer has accumulated significant quantities of it. His piloting skills are above average, but combined with his pension for strategy and tactics, he often seems to be far more skilled than he truly is.
Personality: Pragmatic does not even begin to describe Panzer's behavior. Honor has no place on the battlefield, victory is the only goal that matters. He is ruthless to the extreme, tackling any problem with the utmost efficiency. If that means the destruction of a few of his less advanced fellows, so be it. However, if one earns his respect, they will find him a powerful ally.
Weakness(es): Panzer's tendency to innovate can often isolate him from his allies, making him an easier target for enemy forces.
    Designation: Vernichten
    Type: Fire Vulture
Equipment: Mounted on either side of the cockpit is a gatling gun, meant for blanket fire rather than pinpoint accuracy. Held in the right hand, the connection aided by magnetic connections, is a long barreled rifle. The targeting systems are wired to the Vernichten's HUD, allowing for pinpoint accuracy. Though the rate of fire is low, each shot is designed to pierce the enemy's armor. The weapon is highly accurate, able to land a shot within two feet of its intended target from the opposite end of the Tenchi Bridge. And with the targets as large as they are, such accuracy is deadly. There is no recoil, as the weapon functions identically to a railgun; propelling the fired slug at high velocity towards the target through use of magnetic fields. As such, the Vernichten's systems are shielded against electro-magnetic fields. to ensure that the device does not interfere with the mech's systems. Though the left hand is often used to stabilize the rifle, there is a large blade attached to the rear of the mech that it can grab and wield when the rifle is not in use. Said blade can be electrically charged, and to such a degree that a deep enough blow to an enemy mech can take its systems offline for almost a minute as it recovers. The shoulders are each equipped with a bank of missiles, guided by the Vernichten's targeting system.
Appearance: Vernichten is more streamlined than the average model, its armor angled so as to not only block but deflect incoming fire. In addition, its propulsion system is lower on its back so as to create a far smaller target area. Rather than crude manipulators, its wrists are equipped with large metal hands, ending in clawed fingertips. The lower portion of its cockpit has been armored, to reduce the chance that a stray attack might hit the pilot directly.
    Notes:
    Name: Alistair Martin
    Gender: Male
    Age: 23
    Species: Human
Appearance: Alistair stands at a roughly average height, maybe slightly taller. His brown hair is eternally in a catastrophic state, often with tufts sticking up in random places for no apparent reason. A pair of glasses are typically perched halfway down his nose, occasionally crooked. His style of dress is... Eccentric. Everything from a long coat to a sweater is possible, though he doesn't typically pay much attention to exactly what it is he's wearing. All in all, he looks far more like a geeky bookworm, and far less like a pilot.
Skill(s): Alistair excels in two specific areas; piloting, and technology. On the battlefield, his reflexes are swift to say the least, and he has an almost supernatural sense of exactly how fast he can get his machine to move. Not that there's anything supernatural about it; when one has performed the maintenance a thousand times, and tested it a thousand more, you get a good idea of how things work. In addition to his skills as a pilot, however, he is rather skilled with regards to system maintenance. Computers, motors, sensors, he's repaired it all a time or two, maybe more. His programming skills are top notch, and his skills as a mechanic are more than decent, though most of the maintenance staff have him outclassed. All in all, he's quite bright.
Personality: The first word that Alistair brings to mind is "eccentric". The second is "genius". The former is accurate, the latter is a slight exaggeration. Where most spend their time socializing or training, Alistair spends his in near isolation, learning, researching, and thinking. Despite this, he is remarkably friendly, if a bit.. Odd. However, he is none for his tendency to show distaste through biting sarcasm. What he is not known for is his skill as a pilot. After all, when you never run a mission with anyone else around, you don't develop much of a reputation, do you?
Weakness(es): Alistair's eccentricities can often lead his allies to doubt his statements, and as such, not take what he says at face value.
    Designation: Spiral Enforcer
    Type: Supernova
Equipment: The Enforcer's drill operates slightly different than most, however; similar to a screw, it has spiraling ridges on the outside. Due to this, when it digs into something, it gets a grip on the target, pulling either it or the Enforcer forward, aiding in the drilling process. However, it has one other trick to it; the Enforcer's solar panels power much of the mech's weapons, but all of the excess power can, at will, be shunted into the drill, increasing its power and speed with deadly results. In the event that the drill is destroyed, it will release, freeing the hand for other tasks. Its right arm ends in a gatling gun. Equipped on the torso, on either side of the cockpit, is a double barreled laser array.
Appearance: The Spiral Enforcer is painted a dark gray, accented with crimson accents. Its right hand, for that is what it possesses, ends in clawed fingertips meant for rending through enemy armor. However, much of the time, this hand is covered by a long drill. The machine's shoulder weapon slots are, quite curiously, left open for unknown reasons. The cockpit is largely armored, with the remaining glass tinted to prevent foes from looking inside.
Notes: The Spiral Enforcer spends most of its time in a repair gantry in a far corner of the repair bay, covered by a sheet. In low-activity times, its pilot will often be seen working on the rear of it, near the shoulder hardpoints. No one is quite sure what he is working on, as the machine is seldom in anything but perfect repair.
