After deciding the newcomer meant no harm he turned his eyes back to his work, preparing to reach for one of his many knives should the stranger try anything. Without looking at the being standing in front of him Taoki spoke, "Can I help you?"

  • IC: Tahuva pointed his sword at the running Toa, and made a giant column of fire appear in front of him. Bystanders backed away. "This man is guilty of attempted murder. So let's see how MY attempt goes." He made walls of fire appear around the Toa with his axe, and a roof of fire over his head. He finished by stabbing the ground and heating the ground under the Toa. "Garth, say the word and I kill him. Oh, and be quick about it, I can only maintain this much fire for so long."

IC Garth - Po-Koro - Talking to Elderly Toa: "Not just yet, Tahuva. And we don't want to kill him, we'll let the Po-Koro guard take care of his punishment." Garth walked closer to the old Toa of Fire, who seemed calm and collected while in his prison of fire. "You robbed us, and others just like us, you pillaged the lives of others, taking what you wanted from them, you deserve to rot in Karzanhi, but we can't send you there." The Toa of fire slowly began to chuckle, laughing at Garth and Tahuva. "This is an evil world, young ones, very evil. 'Honest' is no longer a word in this world's vocabulary, and I simply realized that before others did. You have to be smart if you want to survive here, no buts about that, take advantage of those who are gullible, ignorant fools, and prosper in their demise. It is a flawless plan, that is, until someone like you shows up, Mr. Hero, fighting to redeem his family, and take down the alleged 'bad guy' who wronged them. How sad. Do what you want to me, I know you will never be rid of the real world, no matter how much you hate it." Garth wanted very much to stab the Toa on spot, but he would only be stooping to his level, playing his game. Garth turned away, walking over to Tahuva, he looked up at the Toa, "Let him go, he won't get far, in fact, he won't get five feet, since those Guards over there look pretty eager to meet him," he said to Tahuva. OOC: There, big post. :P -Garth

You have FULL KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT YOU ARE, AND YOU STILL LIKE IT!" He made an opening in the wall of fire and kicked the Toa in the face, then walked off to follow Garth.

  • IC Garth - Po-Koro - Walking with Tahuva: The Guards rushed in and took the Toa away, who was bleeding from the mouth thanks to Tahuva's kick to his jaw. All Garth had to do was expose him to the open society, and bam, he was caught. The old Toa of fire had stayed hidden from the people he wronged, and away from justice; Garth and Tahuva had simply brought him to it. "I would have never been able to do that on my own, thank you my friend," Garth said to Tahuva. "He was the one my family borrowed from mainly, and the few others have dropped off the radar. And... hang on," he said, turning back as something caught his eye, he walked over and picked up a bag, crimson in color, it had a bit of weight to it. Garth opened the bag, and inside sat a large pile of widgets. Garth smiled, and walked back over to Tahuva, "I think this will suffice for all the trouble my family went through," he said, showing the Toa the bag of gleaming and shining widgets. -Garth

  • IC(Dealrix): Delarix unfurled the map and took out a quill from the ink fountain on Lohkar's desk. He knew his way around the island. This time of year it was getting close to the storm season. So he plotted a course to avoid the most storm-vunerable areas. There was at least going to be a light rain tonight. He could feel it in the air.

  • OOC: Xa-Koro does not exist anymore.IC:If anyone had been around who knew the Vortixx for who she really was, they might have assumed she would spend her night awake, immersed in dark meditation, mentally conversing with the dark passenger that guided her, even if just through feelings and occasional visions. She had been getting gradually better at sensing what her guide wanted over the past months, until she could very clearly feel when he was near and watching her move. She had spent many a night in such fashion, training her mind to better feel the guides presence, interpret his intentions. Her mind had seen glimpses of his true darkness in trance before. It was a darkness that was so strong that nothing was able to see what it contained. Others would have been appalled maybe, most would have been scared into madness. But to Kohra, it was like a comforting blanket she could retreat back into. It was her sanctuary. It was something one needed when they were divorced from the rest of society emotionally, morally and in any other way. Surprisingly, tonight was no such night. The Vortixx had went upstairs and locked the door behind her. She'd slipped out of her cloak, laying it unceremoniously over the back of a chair in the room and went over to a sideboard with a stone-basin, filled with clear water. She quickly washed her face, to scrub out the dust and returned to the bed. She let her good hand trail over the fabric of the sheets. They were made from rough fabric, but were still rather comfortable.Out in the wilderness, sleeping too deeply meant ending up a good meal for a Rahi, so Kohra was very tentative when lying down. She pulled the blanket over her lower body, as it was still very warm inside the inn and found herself drifting off into genuine, deep, dreamless sleep within seconds. She found it to be a welcome change from the light, easy to disturb rests she'd had in the desert and gladly let the darkness take her.

  • IC: Lepidran wrapped his arms round himself as he followed Atiel along. It wasn't as though he were cold, far from it. The heat of the desert wrapped round him like a suffocating blanket. It was just he didn't like the Motara much. Far too much bald-land. He was used to the crowded jungles of Le-Wahi, where trees and leaves and animals and people filled every spaces with colour and noise. The Motara was an astounding opposite. There was space as far as the eye could see-and the eye could see so far!-and the only thing to fill it was sky and sand. Two oppressive masses of blue and beige pressing on each other, on him.The sooner they got to the Koro the better...

The dragon-like navigator was plotting a course around the east coast of Mata-Nui on one of the rough disposable charts, using a higher-quality one for reference."Round the East Coast, huggin' the shoreline most o' the way," he said, looking at Delarix's course. "An' moving out from the entrance ta Naho Bay a little so as ta avoid the Marines' notice. Good work. Time ta set sail!"He went back out of the cabin."Weigh anchor!" he roared to his crew. "We're leavin'!"As he took up his customary position at the helm, he drew out his spyglass to examine the sea ahead. It was a clear day, with few clouds, but a strong northerly wind. • IC: Dece flinched as the group entered the vast landscape of Po-Wahi. The region was so massive and emotionless, this was a world away from Kini-Nui and Ga-Wahi. The terrain was so uniform, no trees or towers to hide behind. Sure an oasis or two sprouted up every so often, and there were canyons and mountains all over the region, but compared to the thick landscapes he had seen it was empty.Worst of all they were totally vulnerable here, no trees to duck and hide behind. One of those Rama could easily attack them here, and they would have no where to run. "Should we set up a camp?" asked the Fe-Matoran as he cringed from the sunlight and heat.

  • IC:When Kohra opened her eyes the next day, she felt irritated at first. Despite her meticulously closing the curtains, the veils of cloth had somehow moved during the night. A ray of light was falling through a tiny gap between them and right onto the bed. Unfortunately, it hit the cotton sheets right where her head lay. Blinking, the Vortixx turned around, rolling onto the other side. A single tear welled up in her eye, rolling down the side of her face. She blinked again. How long had the sun been shining through there? It didn't hurt, but the discomfort was bordering on feeling physically unwell.Taking a deep breath, Kohra sat up, pulling her legs up, letting them fall over the side of the bed. She stood up and slowly walked across the room to the windows. She reached out with her hands, grasping the edge of each curtain in them and pulling them together, until the light vanished. A small shudder ran down her spine and she took another deep breath. Then the realization sunk in that last night had been the first, real night that she a truly and deeply slept. No dreams, no visions, no silent conversations with her dark passenger. The feeling brought a slight smile to her face. For a moment she hesitated. Then she pulled the curtains apart, letting the sunlight fall over her body.Satisfied, she turned around and began to pack up the little that she had. The sundial showed half past six. It would be time to meet Clo'on soon.

Not even a team of Toa of Water could change this desert for long, and what they could affect would be only a tiny portion of the region.Suddenly he heard Aurax shout something. As the Fe-Matoran headed back towards Aurax he spotted the fallen remains of a Matoran, body dried up by the heat. Without batting his eyes Dece began to loot the corpse, grabbing a satchel from the fallen fighter. The Matoran slung it over his back and headed back to the group, leaving the body behind him.

She was supposed to meet the Toa of stone in a few ticks, but she had decided to make her way to the location a bit early. It was always good to have knowledge about one's surroundings, especially for someone like her. After carefully making mental notes of all the ways she could quickly leave or come by, she walked out the gate Clo'on said they would meet at. She was still early, so she waited, or pretended to wait, like any normal person would.

Obviously he wasn't there to scope out the surrounding; he knew them like the back of his hand anyway, and wasn't likely to be looking for escape routes. He came strolling through the crowd, which parted before him. Not out of respect, or at least not always, but because they didn't want to get trampled by the bulky Toa or knocked aside by the large pack he was carrying on his back."Not been waiting for me long I trust?" he asked

It had been easy to spot his broad frame among the few people that were out going about their business at this time. For a second, she wondered why they didn't turn his image into statues. He was after all, a much more interesting motive then Hafu. But then Clo'on had reached her and she put ridiculous thoughts like that out of her mind."Not been waiting for me long I trust?" he asked."That is...an accurate estimate. No indeed, it has barely been ten minutes." Kohra replied, with a slight smile. She was tempted to ask about the large backpack, but she thought she knew the answer already. Clo'on was not the kind of person to cross the desert and come unprepared.

  • Ic: Stannis stepped inside the narrow grotto the temple had. To his left was a slot and a carving with a riddle, and he toyed with it for a moment while the others tried to see if they could open the door that loomed ahead of them. He didn't pay much attention, but when he looked back, he was in for a surprise. "Everybody, stand back!" Atiel warned as he raised his hammer above his head. Before Stannis could stop him, his heavy weapon struck at the stone door with a reverberating crack. A quick but violent quake erupted suddenly, and sand poured around the temple and seeped into the entrance, but stopped short of the matoran's feet. Finally, everyone looked at the door. Not a scratch, a crack or a missing crystal was evident on the door. "Maybe if he hit it harder?" one of the matoran suggested, but Stannis shook his head."We can't risk it. This door is sealed, either elementally or spiritually, and we need more than brute strength to breach its doors. It is doubtless that this is important, but we must find another way. Let's go to Po-Koro and speak with the turaga; maybe Onewa can give us answers on this. The elder knows of us and I, and I believe Aurax was sent by him, too," he said, gesturing to the Po-Matoran. • IC:"Yes, let's go." Kohra nodded. "We do not wish to be caught in the midday heat after all." They began their long walk in the direction of Onu-Wahi. The Vortixx wasn't a hundred percent sure if she knew the right way, but she trusted the subconscious guidance of her dark passenger to not lead them astray. The way out of Po-Koro was rather uneventful. Not many were on the road, except a few merchants who lived in the outskirts of the village, pulling their various tradegoods to the markets on sleds.Kohra noticed a lot of them were trying to make a living as artists, carving statues, of Toa, Matoran and of Rahi and other creatures, some real, others very abstract. From what she knew about her own society, none of these Matoran would last a week among Vortixx. Not unless they could carve an advanced elegant and functioning weapon from the sandy rock around them.Their walk led them past more and more scattered smaller settlements. Then only single huts remained, belonging to herders, the Po-Koronans the lived furthest out from the Koro. Their Mahi-herd differed in numbers, from only a handful, guarded by a lone Hapaka up to several dozen, with several Matoran keeping watch over the domesticated Rahi. Then, the dusty road led past a large arch, made from ginourmous boulders, put together just the way they were, but filed smooth from years of sand carried in the air. It marked the end of the inhabited region of Po-Wahi. Everything beyond was desert.

  • IC: Dece gazed at the strong door, unbroken by the Matoran's swing. The temple stood just as impressive as it always had, unmoving, unbroken by the winds of change. Sand engulfed it's outside, but the desert hadn't eroded through it at all. It's walls were stronger than a Hau's shell."How old is this temple?" asked the Fe-Matoran, "it looks like it was carved from rock only a few days ago. Who do you think built this?" As Dece gazed at the rock he remembered that Turaga were once powerful Toa. Perhaps the reason Onewa might know about this, is because he, Vakama, and the other Koro Turaga made it in their time as Toa.
