  • IC(Zand): The vortixx pulled the door harder, slightly stronger from climbing a certain mountain and fighting a few Kikanalo. He entered the room. "Okay, I'm going to take a look at my leg now. He sat down, and deactivated some clamps on it. About a minute later, it was off, beside him.

  • OOC: Sorry for the medium amount of inactivity from me for the past two weeks, unfortunately, I've been quite busy in real life.Vade, Banua and NPC matoran from Onu-Wahi.IC:The Trade Convoy emerged into the heat of the sun. The convoy being around a third of the way done, Selan ordered it to come to a halt."They'll be virtually no shade unto Po-Koro," he said. "This is our last chance to get some worthwhile rest."Vade reached for his water container, an item carved out of protodermis. The water was refreshing, and still reasonably cool, though Vade put that to the fact that it had been underground for a few hours.

  • IC (Naru):The Toa of Plasma winced almost imperceptibly as the Vortixx casually removed his own leg. Sure, it was mechanical and felt no pain, but the sight of it was still a bit disturbing for Naru. The few times she had killed Rahi so far, they had melted away in a second due to her extreme heat-based powers. She had never really seen a dismembered person before. Therefore it was with morbid curiosity that she now studied the technology before her.

  • IC: "When will we arrive?" Tirokk was growing impatient, they had been walking for quite some time now... how long had it been? "Enough of this!!" Tirokk grabbed his companions, and with his great strenght, carried them on his shoulders. He then activated his kakama. And so, he dissappeared in a blur, sand whirling up where he had been standing, running super-fast with his "friends" on his back, on to Po-koro.OOC: Hope you won't be angry at me for doing this :P. As the profile pages say, he IS very impatient... http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/sarcastic.gif

  • IC(Black Knight, Mirr, Lyrica, Baron): The ship laid in the sand, broken from years of...being in the middle of the desert. This peaked the Baron's interest. "What in the name of Sweet Cuppin Cakes is this doing here?"He walked inside...a rookie mistake. Inside was a Set of Armor, a toa of crystal inside. He was mostly dead. And had the Baron not came that way, he would have stayed that way. The Baron lifted the helmet atop the mask of the toa...to find the mask off. He looked around, attempting to find the mask...Meanwhile, Mirr was being dragged by Lyrica through the desert."So...you don't know where any ancient ruins are, but you have a strong hunch they're here?" Her glare was as cold and uncaring as the night. "Erm..."*SMACK!*"Ow! Yeah! Thats right!""Then why did you lead me to a massive sandship?" The boat was cracked in two, parts thrown around the desert, almost as if a strong storm brought it here...an unnaturally strong storm."ARGH! Help, help a poor crazy Plasmagodian!" A wave of plasma came out of the ship. "ANYONE! HELP!""Someone's in trouble! We must help." Lyrica got her whip ready. A Black Shape pushed the Baron off of the ship, before jumping down, making a wave of sand around it. "I am the Black Knight. Who are you?" He addressed Lyrica and Mirr, as the Baron was crawling towards them.IC(Zand): "Really, if you want to know how it works, you could just ask me." He smiled as the mechanical leg piqued her curiosity.

  • IC: (Igahu): A lone figure walked slowly towards the village of Po-Koro. Igahu was his name. His occupation; Bounty hunter and mercenary. It had been months since he had washed ashore on the island, a island Igahu had never heard of before, andone that he would have preferred not to be stranded on at all. Igahu had made the best of it, scavenging a sword and a Rhotuko launcher from the the wreckage of the Skakdi warship he had floated to shore with and had began learning whathe would about the island. The Skakdi warrior had traveled to Po-Koro on a search for workas a mercenary or as a bounty hunter of some kind. He strolled onto the main street of Po-Koro, keeping his eyes open for any sign of a potential employer.

  • IC: (Mef)"Karz!" curses the Toa of Earth as the being (somehow) lifts the three of them on his shoulders. Activating his Kakama, the four of them speed down the road.Mef wraps his arms around Valria's abdomin before activitating his Mask of Flight. The two of them glide off of the being's back and land safely on the road.Coughing up dust, the Toa of Earth asks,"Are you okay?" He lets go of the Toa before glancing down at the bruises that were now on his arms and the small trickle of blood that was coming from his right shoulder. But, that could wait for later. Now he was concerned for Valria. The way that the Toa had grabbed them was uncalled for. And, telling by the bruises on Mef's arms, a bit violent."That Piraka," he mutters as he looks toward the Toa running off into the distance. He looks back to Valria and inspects her for injuries. -Mef

  • OOC: Mef, Tirokk didn't grab them that violently... :(IC: "The Shade"A Toa, purely white, clad in black armor, walked down the street of Po-Koro. He was wearing a black cape, and had a peculiar gauntlet on his wrist. He carried a black sword and twin-daggers. This Toa's true identity was unknown to everyone. His eyes caught a dark-orange clad skakdi, his eyes moving around, scanning the area. By the looks of it, and the Toa was very experienced in this field, the skakdi was perhaps a mercenary. He wore a simple sword and a shoulder mounted gun. 'Perfect' He thought.

  • OOC: It did make that impression though...IC:There was a flash and a split-second later, a coughing Agni, holding his chest stood next to Mef and Valria. The Toa of fire seemed to be wheezing. "Say...", he coughed, before drawing another breath, "...did you get...", another breath,"...the under-the-arm ride...as well?"One final gasp later, Agni straightened himself up to his full height again, rubbing his side. He was looking at the dust-trail Tirokk had left behind. "I think that calls for a one on one talk..." he mumbled, more to himself, but still audible."----------------Kohra and Clo'on had continued to walk in relative silence. The conversation had not gone as smoothly as Kohra had hoped or planned for and they were back on the topic of her being. Something she was not comfortable with. After all, the Toa of Stone did not know her for who she really was. She doubted he'd be quite as courteous as he had been thus far. Unless being crushed by the powers of stone was courtesy. So the Vortixx withdrew to her mind, keeping her feet on track unconsciously, but focused elsewhere. She was quietly conferring with her mental guide, the strange entity that led her to where she was supposed to be on this island. He had been wronged and she had helped him- Now she was asking for a little help in return. But there was no reply. Kohra wondered about that. Sometimes he'd be constantly present, watching every breath she'd take, every move she made. And then he'd made himself rare after the last job, now and then returning to the back of her head.Lost in thoughts like that, she more felt, then saw, the change that happened before her.The sand of the road they were one began to shift before them, the ground shaking. And then, the patch of road was no more.Suddenly, stones and dust where hurled skyward as something broke out of the ground. As the dust began to drift apart, Kohra could see that it was a rather large Nui-Jaga. Assuming a wide-legged stance, she loosened the cloak around her shoulders, flexing her gloved hand...

  • IC: TirokkFortunately for them, they were now close enough to Po-koro that it would only take about 3 minutes walking to get there. (OOC: Remember to thank me later ;) ) As for Tirokk himself, he was already in the village. He knew who he was looking for, but what it looked like was the question...-A few weeks ago-The large Toa of Iron was steady as ever. Although little as nothing happened in this place, it was still strangely comfortable for him, making the standing around much easier. A small being, clearly matoran, walked towards him. "I need to talk to you Tirokk." The Toa immediately recognized that voice."All right... In that inn." The duo walked to the inn, and sat at a table in the corner. "What is it, Cerionn?" They had their dealings before, but what was he doing here? "I have vital information..." The matoran paused. "Yes?" Tirokk demanded. "Well, it's about... The Shade..." Tirokk felt a sharp slash through his heart at the mention of the being. "...What now? I thought it was gone..." "Well, it seems to be back... and it's in Po-koro..." Tirokk was furious... that menace, that malicious being that had taken... The Toa cleared his thoughts... "Any more information about it? Something about it's intentions?" "The only other lead I have is that "It" has a gauntlet of illusion... it could be anyone..." "Karzacht*" He thougth... this was just not his day. "Thank you for your help... I'll repay you some day..." "Don't worry, it's just for old times sake." Cerionn said. "I'll be off then..." And a moment later The Matoran was gone, leaving Tirokk in his thougths and dismay.*A swear word

He unsheathed Wolven. "Now, you all...wait...you don't understand me, do you?"Lyrica approached him. "I am Professor Lyrica Melazin, and you will stop this right n-" The armored toa smashed her away."Ah, new Matoran. This is the language thou hast chosen to speak. Then so be it." He ran as fast as he could at the group. "Now you see?! He's powerful...more powerful than anything I've met before..." The Baron cowered at the Dark Knight's presence."Nothing I can't handle." Lyrica got up, preparing a powerful sonic blast. "Hello, whatever your name is, I'm Lyrica. Prepare to face unforeseen consequences." The blast shot out, a speeding surge of noise. He shrugged it off-by moving out of the way. "Please. One of my oldest training exercises was how to avoid Elemental Energy. HAVE AT THEE!" He slashed at Lyrica, with the blunt end of the massive sword, knocking her unconscious. He then turned to the Baron."NONONONO! Please don't hurt me!" He was on his knees, begging. "Foolish. I have no mercy." He kicked the Baron away, making him unconscious as well, and kicking up a large amount of sand.OOC: Black Knight open for interaction.

  • IC Nen and Thama:Nen and Thama continued walking across the desert, Nen leading the way. Every so often Thama looked over her shoulder to see if anyone was following them."You don't have to worry," Nen reassured her. "They won't find you, not yet anyway. You're safe.""You don't know them like I do," Thama countered. "Their main goal is to hunt down and kill me, and before that fight I used up my one chance to join them and serve Makuta.""I wouldn't worry about it. And I expect them to make at least one more offer for you to join them before they get around t actually killing you; that's just what evil people do.""Do you regularly fight evildoers like them?""Not always just like them, but yes. Me and my friends do what we can to do what's right and save the day. It's a nice lifestyle; I'm surprised more toa don't follow it.""They're busy losing their way from their duty. Just before this fight I helped stop an assassin in Ga-koro. What's happened to the toa? Did we all suddenly lose any sense of moral value?"Nen turned to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Now listen. There are still good toa in the world; it's just that their actions aren't as obvious as those that do evil. For now though, we have reached our destination." They had reached the front entrance of Po-koro, the city of stone. In front of them was the giant carved toa head that served as the main gate. They passed through the mouth hole to the other side to find themselves in the koro itself. All around them, the bazaar was busy as always, with matoran moving this way and that to get the supplies they needed. Trades were occurring all over. It was peaceful enough, but there was always a risk of thieves in a crowded place like this. They moved quickly through the crowd, heading for a back alley. They moved past several doors to huts before arriving at a completely normal looking hut. Thama gave Nen a look."This is our big destination?" she asked him, clearly disappointed."Well, yes," Nen replied. "It's not our main place, but it's a home. We have a hut in every koro. It helps to have a place to stay. Come inside, you'll like it more when you see the inside."They walked into the hut, shutting the door behind them. Inside, there were plenty of lightstones casting a warm and healthy glow. There were comfy looking chairs and a pleasant wooden table arranged in a dining area, with a set of stairs leading down a floor. Over to one side there was a dartboard and a set of darts. A carving of a beach with palm trees was hanging from another part of the wall. It was a simple, but comfy house."Welcome to one of our headquarters," Nen said, walking in. "Please, have a seat. The chairs are quite comfy. I'll get some food cooking. I'll need to send out word to Jev and Sashina so we can wait here for them to arrive.""Thama sat down, happy to have a chance to sit and rest. She still hurt from the fight, but she would be fine after some rest.

  • IC (Po-Koro inn):No answer.Nova tried knocking again; the sound echoed through the hallway. Still, the doorknob did not rattle, no footsteps sounded -- the room was empty. He felt suddenly foolish. A glance in each direction, left and right, showed no one was watching. Determined to keep things that way, he bolted (in a casual fashion, of course) back down the stairwell and into the bar. Any one of the Toa milling about could be Kellin, Nova supposed; but he couldn't pick out anyone as looking more like an escort- or bounty hunter-for-hire than the rest.To the left of the door facing out was a nice, quiet, empty corner with a single table. Nova moved there, not sitting, just standing and watching the bustle of beings. He didn't feel like staying, but then, where could he go?

  • Ic: "The Company is one of our few links to the past," Stannis remarked. "I hadn't expected our adversaries to react this drastically, but there are clearly other forces at work. Based on the time coincidence, it's fair to say that we didn't initiate this crackdown of theirs, but we can help stop it and we'll start with Hafu," he said, resolve in his eyes."We'll split up for now. Groups of two. Lepidran, you and I will go check on Hafu. Atiel and Dece, stay in the shadows behind us as backup. Aurax, since you are from this village, you'll go to Onewa with Nichou, and be sure to tell him you're in my company and what we know. Everyone else, stay here and keep an eye out for trouble. It's very unlikely, but if you get into any danger here, shoot a flare in the sky and we'll all reconvene as soon as possible at the city gate.""Why the gate?"someone asked."It's obvious: there are guards there," Stannis said bluntly. "Now, we have the advantage of the night, but we also are not sure what we're up against or if there is even an immediate danger to begin with. Our objectives are to, one, notify the turaga and two, bring Hafu into protection. At the very least, we can create a stir and raise awareness. When our separate missions succeed, regroup here. Remember, meet here unless something bad happens, in which case we meet at the gate. Now, does everybody know what to do?" Stannis said.

"Since we just had a big involuntary shortcut, how about we move the rest of the way?" the Toa of fire asked.-------------Kohra reacted instantly and placed her palms on the side of her head. The Nui-Jaga staggered, and screeched, obviously hurt, but the physical effects were small. With the scream passed, the Vortixx ran a few steps forward, slashing at the seemingly thin air with her glove. A moment later, five deep scratches appeared on the chitinous hide of the Rahi. Now truly enraged, it's tail slammed forward, aimed at her.

  • IC: Dece nodded at Stannis, though the paranoia never quite faded. Too much about the island was unknown, and what was known to Dece was only the surface, onlythe most basic pieces of Mata-Nui society. It might be one thing if he knew something others didn't, but he lacked any unique knowledge, aside from what he glimpsed in visions.Speaking of his visions, Dece still was confused as to the meaning of so many of his glimpses. What were those tan disks? What were the slugs and that reptilians creature? What about the dead Onu- Matoran and that metal egg? Even his one talent failed to properly prepare him for this world. Pushing his inner stress aside for the moment, the Fe-Matoran followed Stannis and Lepidran's with Ateil, though he kept his distance. Dece pondered the decision to make him back uo, though hopefully Ateil would compensate for Dece's lak of...skills.

  • IC:Kohra used the momentum from being flung by the Toa to dive away to the side and into a graceful roll. Coming out of the roll she got back on her feet like a Muaka. Focused on the scorpion, she only half-heard Clo'ons call. Something about getting the masks off of its claws. That could be arranged. The Vortixx broke into a sprint, leaping through the gap between the pillars of rock. Which put her back in the range of the Rahi's tail. Now she was face-to-face with the Nui-Jaga again, it's eyes tracking her. She held out her clawed hand out in front of her. The scorpion screeched, trapped in the pillars, but didn't attack right away, remembering the pain the glove had caused already. A drop of sweat ran down the side of her face as she stared at the creature. This next bit would need good timing.Suddenly, she shot forward quickly, as if to strike at the Nui-Jaga. The scorpion reacted, snapping its claws and slamming his tail forward. Kohra had hoped it would do that and prepared, jumping to the side at the right moment, avoiding the sting of the tail. She moved forward again, hooking her gloved hand into the eye-holes of the infected mask of the nearest claw. The Rahi did not like it. Screeching, it pulled its claw back and Kohra with it.

  • IC, Aurax: Aurax watched the others leave. "Come on, Nichou, let's go see the Turaga." Aurax and Nichou left the inn and walked through the Koro to Turaga Onewa's hut. Luckily, this was Po-Koro, and after many years of living here, Aurax knew the streets and alleyways like the back of his hand. Finally, the two of them reached the Turaga's hut. "Hopefully he's not to busy to see us" said Aurax. He knocked on the door. "Turaga Onewa? It's Aurax. May me and my friend here speak to you, if you're not too busy at the moment?"OOC: Now we wait until Tuck returns... which unfortunately probably won't be for a while. :(
