  • IC: Orderin stepped out of the smithy he held his newly sharpened blade in his hand, as he walked along he noticed a familiar Lava Hawk flying towards him.Kive-Phu.Tivanu would only be sending Kive-Phu if it was something important. Orderin ran towards the bird with a vigor that defied his age, when he got close enough he kneeled down in front of Kive-Phu. Noticing a small note on the birds ankle he untied it and began to read.As he finished reading the note he rushed off.

Otokax mentally ran through his list of things to pack.

    Lightstone? Check!

    Heatstone? Check!

    Surveying equipment? Check!

    Extremely over priced sword? Check?

"Thats all the important stuff I guess." Muttered Otokax to himself. He closed the door to his shop and locked it, not like that would do anything to keep a Toa out or anything but its better than nothing. Otokax started down the road towards Ga-Wahi, looking at shop windows as he passed by.

The last thing I remember was slamming my captive against the rock wall, and then the red haze of rage overcame me. I did not black out, not in the strictest sense. It was simply a moment when all of my energies were diverted towards breaking, rather than remembering. If I tried, I probably could recall the details, but what's to recall? The Ga-Matoran was laying at my feet, looking none too good. I did drop her, just as the second heroic person had said. I just dropped her into a wall first. It was a technicality, no more, yes?

I stared down at the Matoran, daring her too make the wrong move. Daring the Toa behind me to attack. Daring him to use one of his blades on me. Daring someone to help this oh so poor Matoran.

Daring the world to defy me.

    (Ta-Koro):

"That doesn't look like an arrest to me, Tivanu", Viima said, noting the rage Vezok was giving in to. "We should save that Matoran."

Surina lay on the ground, moaning from the pain of being smashed against a wall and dropped. The blue Piraka had seemed like a claculative person, yet he had given in to such... such terrible rage. A being like this would make a perfect ally, if only he wasn't directing his violent behavior at Surina.

Surina decided to retreat, slowly crawling away from Vezok even as others around him began to advance, Viima being one of them. Surina did her best to cover her face, lest Viima recognize her from the features that showed through even a new Kanohi.

"Oh, why hello there! Looks like we have another person to take with us on this adventure!" I laughed a bit. "I know Kirgan already said it, but my name is Xaron. Nice to meet you, Hile."

    IC: Crasaro

The situation had gotten intense. Especially since the person who referred to himself as the 'Forerunner' decided to shoot...smoke out of his hands?

There were Toa of smoke? What could be the worst they could do, distract you and possibly suffocate you? Well, suffocation was pretty bad.

Crasaro shook his head, and looked back at Voluge, who had a, well, voluge in his hands. "Uh, yeah, I'll go get Vail."

He quickly dashed off towards the bar they were talking about before.

"Sure!" Hile said. "I just lost a good story anyway, so I need something to fill the void with. Feran can come too."

"That sounds good", Kirgan said. "Now then... off to Soli's forge!"

"I know where it is", Hile said. "I've been there a couple of times before. Follow me."

  • IC: "The Wanderer"

While he had been passively watching and listening to Voulge and Forerunner, things had gotten out of hand very very quickly and pretty darn badly. People who had he thought would be allies were now shooting smoke and ultimatums at each other. He stepped once more in between the three. From inside his cloak, he summoned several of his metal cylinders thanks to his magnetism mastery. He spun, his dark cloak swirling about him in ragged flutters from the Ta-Wahi breeze. Then, he rubbed the cylinders, levitating them the entire time, charging them with static charge, before sending them swooping past those remnants of photothermic powder that had escaped the pot. Now, he had floating before him several thin lines of dark powder, alongside the metal cans. He gestured. Wavy words began to form in the air.

    names first.

    Stop fighting.

All eyes were now focused on him.

OOC: Terribly sorry that I have been absent for a little while, resulting in quite a wait for "cloaky" to say something. My sincerest apologies to Voxumo, Toatapio, and ORA.

  • IC TuroTuro had secretly been following the rest of the group. After everybody else had cleared out of the bar, he climbred up onto the rooftop, bound across it onto the next, and continued his free running across the buildings in pursuit of the Skakdi. He finally found him; he saw the Gs-Skakdi slam a Matoran against a wall and then turn around to confront a Matoran who had threatened him. "This could go bad-ugly," Turo thought, readying a pair of throwing knives.

I felt my permanent grin take on an animalistic quality, as I turned away from the Matoran to face the beings who were oh so heroic. Oh so righteous in their cause. Oh so better than the rest in their quest for justice. Oh so powerful in deciding what was right and wrong for others. And oh so... irritating. I suppose I wasn't in a blind rage anymore, well, that's a lie, but I did have full control over my state of mind.

There were five of the brings there, most of them had assorted weapons drawn and ready, standing relatively near to me, whether on the ground or the rooftop above. Though they all faced me with the determination of those who went out of their way to get into situations like this, they weren't together. And I could use that to my advantage.

None had attacked yet, though two had moved closer with their weapons held out, which was just fine with me. Just fine indeed. Yes, give me more time. You'll never notice it, you'll never feel it. You'll never know when I'm done or what I've done. Until it's too late, of course.

I could wait for them to finally get over themselves and attack, but by then we'd all be covered in rust. I'd finished what I needed to do, so there was no point in just standing there for any length of time longer. I flashed a brilliant smile to the lot of them, before my pearly whites, and the rest of my body, disappeared behind a wall of heat and flame that shot from my form and raced outwards. There was no technique in the attack, a release of power and no more, but it was a wall of fire, not much technique needed.

Of course, I didn't stay still. I glanced up to the rooftop with the green-armored Le-Matoran who was holding a pair of throwing knives, and then I was there, the power pulling my body through the space between in an instant. I rematerialized behind the Matoran the somewhat awkwardly, though I managed to ignore the nauseating feeling of teleporting long enough to aim a shove in an attempt to send the Matoran off the rooftop.

Oh this was going to be fun indeed.

  • IC Viima, Surina, Hile and Kirgan

    (Ta-Koro):

Viima was right behind Orderin, about to attack Vezok, when the Piraka suddenly unleashed a fire wall. The flames licked Viima's mask and he cried out in shock, taking several steps back. He could see his enemy teleporting up above a rooftop in order to menace a Matoran. A Le-Matoran.

An air-brother, Viima thought in alarm. One of his own was in danger.

Fast as he was, it took but an instant for Viima to hurl his razor-disk at incredible speed towards Vezok. The disk went so fast that it was only a blur, heading towards a soon-to-be-crushed Piraka grin.

    *

On the other side of the circle of flames, Surina got up. Whatever happened, Surina could not allow Viima - or Tivanu, for that matter - to see and recognize her. At the same time she was pleased about the mayhem she had managed to cause by aggravating Vezok. It provided a distraction.

The wall she had been smashed on contained a door. Having nowhere else to run to, Surina entered the small warehouse-hut. Her smile grew broader when she saw the assortment of weapons and equipment there.

    *

Kirgan, Hile, Feran, Sulkua, Azthran and Xaron were on their way to Soli's forge. They could already see the place when the Vezok vs. everyone -conflict began. All of them turned to see the chaos.

"Woah, what's that Skakdi doing?" Hile exclaimed. "He's trying to burn the place down."

"Should we help to stop him?" Kirgan asked.

  • IC TuroTo be a thief, or a hunter, one must be aware of their surroundings. One must be aware of the tiniest sounds, the most insignifcant sights; a change in the wind, a rustle in the grass, the sound of footsteps, these things could mean the difference between success or failure.Which was why, when Vezok disappeared from the street and somehow teleported onto the rooftop, Turo immediately knew. When one materializes in a location, they displace all of the air around them, and since Vezok had appeared immediately behind the Le-Matoran, the air had shifted and blown on his back. If that wasn't enough, shoving strikes usually originate not from the elbows or the shoulders but from the legs and the hips, meaning that Vezok must have at least taken a small step. And finally, Turo had caught the Skakdi looking at him, and judging from the Skakdi's behavior, he looked like that he was more inclined to attack him: put 2 and 2 together, and Turo knew what was coming. And lastly, there was a disk flying for his face. If he didn't jump, he'd be taken out.All of these reasons were why Turo jumped off the roof. Sliding down, he rolled over, caught the edge of the roof with his fingers, and then let go. Catching onto the windowsill, he looked up at the roof before falling to the ground (thank Mata Nui for the square cube law) and ran to the next building, jumping onto a low hanging balcony.

IC: Loren sighed, it seemed that the skakdi was one of those people who simply enjoyed fights. Add the fact that a veritable hoard of do-gooding civilians were jumping in. While he would not have minded a few of them helping out, things were getting ridiculous.

When the wall of fire shot out he mask-jumped up to the roof of a nearby hut, a shoundshape was unlikely to block something like that. Catching sight of the nearby scuffle, he took the chance to call out, "I'm Loren, Ta-koro Guardsman. Listen up, no more then three attacks at once, go for two if you can. Any more then that and you will be running into each other. Cycle out, don't stick with him for too long!"

"Hey, look, fire!" I was not that surprised to see fire in Ta-Koro. It is the village of fire after all. But what surprised me was the blue Skadki causing it. I'm preeety sure blue skadki didn't normally set things on fire. On their own.

    Maybe he's a super Skadki?

    ...Those exist?

    Well, maybe.

I suspect that he may have an extra ability, or a tool to channel his element. Which may be fire.

...There are tools that can let Skadki channel their elemental powers? Or extra abilities?

Never rule out the impossible. Unless it's impossible.

    ...Fine.

    IC (Oreius) (Inu)

    Intruder.

The Toa of Fire whirled around, standing to his feet even as he reached for his blades. Inu's warmth flickered eagerly at the edge of his mind, along with the smell of blood and the sound of steel on steel. The fire blazed forth in his chest, echoing the Parakuka. The silhouette stood hardly ten feet from him, armed, mysterious, silent. He tensed, prepared to defend, and then Toa Sulov Maru stepped out of the sun's glare.

Oreius relaxed, letting his hands fall from his swords. Inu was mildly disappointed, but he responded with a picture of a pack of wolves, and the feeling of brotherhood, of belonging. The Toa of Earth was a friend.

"Sulov," the Toa said, making his way over to his brother. "You shouldn't sneak up on people like that."

The two Toa embraced briefly before stepping apart.

"It's good to see you. What brings you to my Wahi?"

IC: I answer with a slight tilt towards the Earth. An ebon ceramic slab dotted with ivory rises from the ashes before Oreius.

The dark-garbed Toa moved his hands once more, directing an orchestra of fine, charged particles. They shifted and slid, crystallizing into words for yet another time. He looked at the Toa of Smoke.

    You said piraka.

No being called a piraka should ever wander free.

    He turned to Voulge.

But any being worthy of being called a piraka must be a powerful foe.

Voulge looked at 'Wanderer' and nodded

"You are likely correct regarding that.. But as i said i am not here to offer assistance... yet.. I am here to figure out why you wanted me here.. then i am to report back to my leader."

    IC: Tivanu

Tivanu unlike most of the rest did not immediately jump into the fray.. Instead unlike everyone else he took a few steps back and instead concentrated his focus on Vezok. He had seen him disappear behind a wall of flame then saw as he reappeared on a rooftop. Tivanu knew if this being could teleport himself that he could just keep running persay on the rooftops away from the group. Then he saw Viima launch a disk at Vezok.. If he could time his blast just right.

And with that he began to quickly aim his staff at Vezok and concentrated. Within seconds the bolt of gravity increasing power was on it's way towards Vezok. But Tivanu knew the skakdi would likely just teleport out of it's way which is why he concentrated his eyes on the bit of roof Vezok was on with a slight turn of his gaze he sent a blast of impact vision at a spot below the side of the roof that if his guess was right would cause the roof to no longer be able to support Vezok's weight and cause it to crumble.

For afterall fights are not one through reckless moves but through calculated tactics.

He frowned at Voulge. The Toa of Magnetism flourished his fingers for what seemed like the umpteenth time and characters flowed together for what seemed like the umpteenth time. This time, though, rather than one-word sentences and simple phrases, he sign-spoke something more.

"I chose you to come because I could see you were different. Years of silence have made my eyes and ears as sensitive as my mouth is quiet. The other Toa in that Ga-Koro restaurant - they were eating, getting drunk, doing whatever... but you were not. You were observant. You were more thoughtful. Now think, fellow Toa. I have come out of seclusion because even I, in my limited knowledge, can see, can feel, can practically the rising tensions on this island. I'm not going to pretend that I know exactly what these so-called Piraka are doing, but I know that the kind of evil that would be embodied by one could only do great harm to a people on edge. Koros are on edge, dissatisfied villagers building walls to keep out their now-foreign friends... Guardsmen now oversee village entrances not to protect the innocent, but instead to weed out the unwanted travelers. A Koro divided cannot stand. Unfortunately, we cannot hope to seal the divides with such small numbers... but we can stop the factors that would widen the cracks of our island fortress of brotherhood. Sadly, I doubt that the Toa of Smoke and the Matoran can patch up a fracturing source even with my help. So, I ask you, Voulge, of the Toa Sarsi, and through you your two companions, to our aid."

    He extended a fist. "Brother?"

OOC: I don't think I can keep typing out long phrases in Matoran... I'll reserve that for short or meaningful parts in the future. I also tried my best at a sort of rousing/insightful speech, in the light of the ONE-HUNDRED-FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GETTYSBURG ADDRESS! How'd I do?

I didn't wait around, there was no time to in this type of situation. A gleam from one of the Matoran's hands, a throwing disk, and I was already pushing myself off the rooftop and into the air just as the Le-Matoran was himself. Less then a second in the air, and I was back on the ground, having been unnaturally forced to the spot through the stolen power of the Toa of Air's Kanohi. The roof of the building exploded behind me in a mass of aero, gravitic, and kinetic energy, too bad I didn't have time to watch the piece fall. I'd hate to be standing on that.

I didn't waste time thinking from here. I was reacting, nothing more. I teleported to the spot running, hugging the wall of the building opposite to the one that just blew up. A split second of mental force, and a wide concussive blast of air shot from my hands and down the alleyway, straight towards the lumbering white and purple-armored brute. I didn't wait to see if the attack hit, and was already leaping from the ground to the l far wall, my clawed feet hanging onto the vertical surface for less than a moment before I launched myself to the adjacent wall, preforming the maneuver once more to get me once more onto the rooftops of the Koro of Fire.

Which, not by accident, was where the De-Toa was currently standing shouting orders. Keeping my momentum going from jumping on top of the roof, I sprinted around the Toa in a wide arc, thereby positioning myself so that he came in between me and the rest of my attackers. Of course, I let loose a jet of flame in his general direction as I did so. Why? Well, there had to be a reason why he teleported away from my previous wall of flames rather than just stood and took it as most egotistical Toa did these days.

OOC: Would like to personally thank each of you for not making this chaotic. Took keep it this way, you think we could have it so that everyone keeps their moves to a minimum, thus preventing things getting lost in all the posts. Do note, I will be responding once everyone has posted.

  • IC Turo"Mata-Nui," Turo thought. Hiding behind a wall, he took out his Ta-Koro guard standard issue horn and blew. The official Ta-Koro distress signal resounded throughout the Koro block; hopefully another guard would hear it and relay it.

  • Loren- Ta-koro

IC: Of course the skakdi had gone for him, it was standard battlefield tactics, go for whoever was giving the other side orders. What was more confusing was the brawler's powers. In addition to the teleportation and fire powers exhibited at the start, there had also been some sort of odd jerk movement when he dodged the flurry of attacks, A movement that there was no way it could be natural.

In addition the flurry of trash and dust from another of the blue skadki's moves showed the presence of air powers. The Guardsman had never heard of any being with so many powers.

However, further thinking would have to wait as his opponent moved around behind him, sending out a blast of fire while he was at it.

Spinning in the opposite direction the skakdi was running, Loren stretched out a hand, the palm facing counter to the direction of the spin. With a burst of elemental power, a soundshape appeared on a collision course with the blue figure, acting as if it were an extension of his arm. The spin also shifted Lorens field of vision and he activated his mask, sending him to the roof of a nearby house with a pop.

"Did you know," said Ril offhandedly, eyes still watching the pamphlet in hands, "that the Church of Artakha holds free lunches weekly?"

As usual, he was ignored by the nurse, who was humming a dainty little tune as she got to fixing up whatever instruments needed fixing in the room. The Fire Toa had already gotten used to being ignored by her, although it had been quite surprising at first. He'd usually get some sort of reaction out of people, even her once, but it seemed as if she had come up with a way to shut his voice out completely.

Oh well. There were others to talk to anyway.

"So what exactly does one do in a church anyway? I've never been pretty pious myself."

Oreius was silent for a moment, his face the very picture of bemusement, then he shrugged and picked up his left knight, placing it in front of his bishop's pawn.

"You came a long way for a game of chess, brother."

  • OOC: Just realized I have Tuli and Khervos hanging around doing nothing... time to change that.

IC Viima, Surina, Kirgan, Hile, Tuli and Khervos

    (Ta-Koro):

Viima saw the rooftop crumble in an explosion of flames... with Orderin on top of it!

"Orderiiiiiiiin!" Viima shouted, even as the disk he had thrown failed to hit anything and returned to him in a wide arch.

"The Le-Matoran is all right for now. I'm going in to save Orderin!" Viima shouted to Tivanu and started running towards the inferno. He leapt over the flames like they were not a threat and sprinted towards where Orderin was... only to have his mask knocked off by a disk flung from an unseen location. Viima had been totally unprepared for this attack and fell to the ground, right in the middle of a chaotic display of flame and explosions...

    *

Surina smirked as he saw her ex-lover fall among the fire. The disk she threw had made a perfect hit. It was ironic, in a way, that the accuracy Viima had taught her would spell his doom.

Unlike before, Surina was now well-armored. She had found a wicked crossbow to use as a weapon and pieces of additional Protodermis armor to cover up her arms, feet and torso. She had found an additional piece to add to her mask as well, camouflaging her better than before. The chaos she had started by... over-exciting Vezok had turned out to be just what she needed - a chance to loot useful things in secret and leave without being noticed.

Deciding that she had had enough of standing around this fight, Surina ran into the tunnel that led to Onu-Koro. The guards were busy running at Vezok, allowing her to leave unnoticed.

    OOC: Surina to Onu-Wahi.

    *

Hile and Kirgan watched the conflict with horror, but Kirgan nodded at what Xaron said. He did not want to lose his life. He was not a warrior, just a miner.

"We should get to Stronin", Kirgan said. "He might be important. That is just a fight, albeit a very violent one..."

"I disagree", Hile said. "We have Toa on our side!"

"There are already enough Toa bungling in there."

Hile shrugged slowly. "Well... perhaps you're right."

Kirgan didn't wait for a response. He walked up to Soli's forge, knocked on the side of the doorway, and stepped inside.

"Excuse me... I'm looking for a guy named Stronin."

    *

Even though he was a Ba-Matoran, Ta-Koro was Khervos' home town. It was the place he had his business, his job, stationed. And though Tuli had a crudge against Jaller and indeed the entire Ta-Koro guard, she was still willing to visit her love in this village of fire.

Khervos and Tuli had overcome many obstacles since meeting. They had been going steady for months now, finding each others' company more pleasant each day. They had even considered moving together, made difficult only by the fact that the two had jobs in different villages.

Now they were spending some time together in Ta-Koro, when a fight broke out near the central area. Fire was being thrown and Matoran were being fried.

    "What's going on?" Tuli asked.

"Looks like a Skakdi is causing trouble", Khervos said. "Stand back. I should find out..."

"No, I'm not backing out", Tuli said, her voice hard as protosteel. "I used to be a guard. I may not be one anymore, but I still hate those who would damage my home."

    "So you want to fight?"

    "No, but..."

The two saw a strange, armored Ga-Matoran running into the Ta-Onu-tunnel.

"Now that's strange...", Khervos said, his natural curiosity taking over. "I think that's got something to do with the fight here... I'm going after her."

"Then so am I", Tuli declared. Khervos nodded, knowing that arguing with Tuli was useless anyway.

The two ran after Surina in the tunnel.

OOC: Tuli and Khervos to Onu-Wahi.
