  • KNI is defense. XZ Wade is rescue... And I can play distraction!

Trust me, I can annoy nearly anything, and by connection, so can a robot based off of me.

But, that may not end well for Vrf-3...

    Nevermind, bad Idea.

I'll post them entering a restaurant. But, what is the name of the restaurant? And, Toa K, already done. :P-Mef

  • We've already thought of the surveillance system although what other systems there would be yet is unknown, only to be decided by TKI once it starts. Hacking into those will have to be quick, on the spot and probably harder than your average surveillance system. Thanks for the tip, though :)

  • I'm going to be absent for a while due to taking a community college placement test. Here's to hoping I haven't been spending too much time running Techna. :lookaround:EDIT: Apparently, I have to take a different test -- but I don't know what test it is, when it's held, or what it contains. Scratch my absence.

  • ^ Great Idea!

OOC: thanks to Kovolta for some inspiration

Your welcome! :DIn what did I inspire you?

OOC: For the record, Kovolta, thus far you've only been accessing information. Trying to edit that information is going to be much more difficult, as Awk's security clearance isn't high enough nor his ID correct for him to open files, stop downloads, or even upload new information.

    I wouldn't expect any less.

OOC: Why wouldn't S-Toran have destinies? They're just as alive as real Matoran.

    OOC: Is Data alive?
What do you mean? :SS-Toran were created pretty much in the same way as Matoran. What's this about data?@TX: I found this in the main rpg post as I was rereading it.

thus allowing hover-taxis to be driven automatically without crashing

  • Data, the character from Star Trek: Next Generation.Matoran were created by the Great Beings, extremely powerful beings and basically the closest thing to divinity in the Bionicle storyline. They were able to build a robot that could slap Unicron across the face. The creation of the S-Toran was done by Matoran, and they were made even more like machines then before. To say an S-Toran is a Matoran is the same as saying Data, or any other android, is a human being.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

  • It appears there are many more pages to the gaming topic...I'm not sure if I have the time for RPGs, or even Bzpower anymore. To be honest, I only took up the position of co-GM because I am a friend of LL and because he asked me if I wanted the position. In these past five days, however, I have not been a co-anything in the least. If it were not for my hunger for power and rank, I would give up my position in this game... but I cannot be certain that I can fill the position as well as another could.-Skar

Data technically isn't human, but he still is very human-like. And awesome. And dies in the last TNG movie.

  • OOC: A query for the GMs: Do any of you keep track of the time in-game? Or may we assume it's just good 'ol RPG time as usual?

"Day" is an abstract term on Techna. There are no standard day-night cycles, and thus half the population can go to bed while the other half stays awake.

  • Are Blackouts considered ingenious?

There are possibly hundreds of ways to trigger a blackout and hundreds of steps that make up those various possibilities. Programming is all about sub-routines that combine to form a single action. You can't just cause a blackout; you have to, for example, enter the SCPU and terminate all connections to outside devices. But in order to enter the SCPU you have to get through its password and ID checks. In order to do that, you need a password-discovering program. For the password-discovering program to work, you need to either find a "backdoor" connection to the server or find a way to bypass the password limit. The list of sub-routines goes on.To find an "ingenious" hacking solution, I mean you need to be able to formulate strategies that use very efficient sequences of sub-routines.
Digging this up: So I've been busy since I tried to have Amnchey set her little mega-virus into motion. I was planning on doing a lot more, and then life happened. So, any response to that, or should I just pick up the thing where I left it?And I'm sorry guys. I keep saying I'll try to be more active... and then I get busy doing something. I can't read ten pages in two days right now, sorry. But I'll keep trying my hardest to keep with this, because it seems really fun.

And in regards to Amnchey's Fiance: An-fell ... sorry X|

    My bad...was really fun, though.
I actually thought of this after creating the name on the spot. XD

I did respond to the attempt here, where I blocked the uploading of a program to Techna's mainframe. However, in a series of posts that ended with this one, Kovolta's secretly pro-Hacker character Awk managed to stop the download while he was in the no-security zone inside (and only inside, mind you :P) the Security and Defense Library, as he had been invited there by another Toa Techna. So now, Amnchey's connection has been terminated and her upload stopped, but the download of the tracing program also stopped, so she's kind of safe -- except Torch knows that a hacking attempt came from Pro Coding Corporation, so Amnchey had better watch her back.

OOC: Niiiice, Kovolta. You're making me wish I had a Hacker character so I could do fancy stuff like that. :P I probably should make a Hacker character, come to think of it... right now Dovy is the only co-host with a Hacker-aligned character.OOC: Darn it, Kovolta, now you have me using that format. XD

I seem to be inspiring a lot of people with that! XDI'm glad that I've been able to put my coding skills to good use! This rpg is truly the best one for someone in computer science, I'm so glad it won. :)And you should make a Hacker character Legolover, they're so fun!
