Sylus and Hakann. I'm seriously enjoying your interaction. Everyone, I really recommend a gander into snowy Ko-Koro to read up on this Ta-toa information broker's dealings with the psychotic literate.
Especially for Sylus; I feel so bad for cutting off the Sylus and Sharky conversation and stifling potential greatness.
*potential murder
You know, I'm beginning to think anyone wearing cloth in Ko-Koro is a good guy in disguise.
Graverobbing is usually considered a "good guy" trait right
Depends if you're an archaeologist or Dr. Frankenstein I suppose.
Yes.Graverobbing is usually considered a "good guy" trait right
You're denying evil necromancers their fuel.
Also if you were a good guy you'd be cremating your dead in the first place. :-D
My character, Toa Nartam, is ready for interaction at Po-Wahi.

Welcome to the RPG, Nartam seems pretty cool. ^^
I have to ask, what is generally the bzprpg's... view/policy on suicide in rp?
What do you mean? We've had suicides in-game before.
What do you mean? We've had suicides in-game before.
Ah, I was not aware of that... Not entirely surprised but not aware.
Depends on how graphical you make the suicide. Some people may also be offended by the type of suicide, so uh... try not to do anything... impressive.

Yeah, a lot of things have happened in the last ... Jesus, 13 years?
I've only been around for five, but there's been a lotta stuff.
Like ghosts tied to a magic tattoo.
That uh, nearly caused someone to die via falling off a flying surfboard.
Also there was the sandwich thing.
And also you had the weirdness of 2011 and Joske dropping meteors.
Okay none of this relates to suicide in anyway but they're memorable examples of how the RPG has had a lotta stuff happen over the years. Including suicide.
Also there was the sandwich thing.
;_;
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
First of all, an apology from me to all those who've been waiting for posts for the last couple of weeks, particularly in the Mangai Quest. Life got even busier than usual for me, including an increase in Uni workload, so I've been stretched too thin to really get any RPing done.
However, I do have an announcement to make:
The staff have decided that things need to move forward in Ko-Koro. Unfortunately, Mr House hasn't been around for over a month and we're still right at the climax of the meeting between Echelon and Larikon. As much as I would like to see their confrontation to its conclusion IC, it seems like a lost cause now. We have therefore decided to bunny the Brotherhood of Ak'Rei'An out of Ko-Koro.
To keep that bunnying as indirect as possible, I'll provide a set of essential points here rather than enact them IC:
Brotherhood members:
Anyone else in Ko-Koro:
If you have any questions about the above points, please do ask.
Hmmm...
What to do with Zenithex...?
So.. does whatever just got bunnied in Ko-Koro have to do with the expedition that is going alongside the Ga-Koro one? I remember we got halted for a while due to something needing to happen in the Ko-Wahi topic.
It shouldn't affect anybody now. Ira, though, might be having some trouble if they get back...
To address the question of suicide: remember when the whole major plot of this game was because of a tragedy? Suicide is a sad and horrible way for someone to pass, but I see nothing wrong with it being explored and written about in a safe container. It is, like Dorian's drug addiction and Kopaka's aforementioned behavior, pushing the boundaries of the age limit on this website, but as I was once told: use euphemisms.
As for Staff choosing to push forward the timeline in Ko-Koro: thank you. As disappointed I am to see yet another major event be turned into a time-skip (of sorts) because of player inactivity, I'm overjoyed that we're moving forward. Hopefully this will help pull activity out of the mud it's slipped into once again.
Prowl was thinking of making a Snowboarding Ko-Matoran. Anyone got any ideas for me? We know nothing about the sport...
Do you refer to the koros as villages or towns or cities these days? Why?
I tend to think of the major Koros as cities and the smaller settlements as towns or villages.
Are there any outsourced settlements other than the Koros? Or is it safe to say that most Matoran save for the hermits live in one of the Koros? Are there any settlements other than Koros or camps?
Ostia, Forsi, Pala-Koro, Obsidian Outpost, Ihu-Koro....
There are plenty of other inhabited locations aside from the six major Koros.
well I was expecting a Koro of each of the elements(not just the normal 6) but wasn't sure on say outposts or sub-villages. Being still a bit new to the RP, I have no idea how expanded the BZP universe actually is. I mean we have Mata Nui, not sure on Metru Nui, some Island way out on the other side of the great Ocean that holds these other races, and... yeah that's all I got, .
To add to Nato's list: there's also Prosperity, formerly known as "Darkmine" and first in fungicultural diversity. But it's mainly for farmers.
To respond to Prowl: in the BZPRPG, it's generally best to assume nonexistent until proven existent. There's a good chance Metru Nui isn't there. There are probably some other lands we haven't seen yet, but this is far from the canonical Matoran Universe.
Well yeah I remember the "Not here unless said it's here" rule when I first joined. However not being here from the beginning and not even knowing how much is actually in the MU, doesn't help with my lack of knowledge on actual civilizations here. I've heard choice terms in my readings such as Metru Nui, Karda Nui, Mata Nui, Southern continent. Spheres Magna, etc... Though anything directly linked to there being a giant robot is said to not exist here in the RP. Such as cleaner bots known as Bohrok!! lol...
Do you refer to the koros as villages or towns or cities these days? Why?
I refer to them as all three interchangeably.

Basically, until it's revealed otherwise, Mata Nui and Kentoku are all there is (well, there is all that water in between them and around them buuuuuuuut). The Starter Topic should help you out; have you read it?
I've been playing it like there were other islands out there besides Mata Nui and Kentoku, but I don't go into too much detail about them besides labling them as "Insert Character's Home Island," and none of the characters in question can tell anyone where said islands are in relation to Mata Nui anyway.
Hopefully it's not too game-breaking; the whole "I'm an amnesiac who washed up on a beach!" thing isn't entirely original in my opinion, and having to go back and rewrite the backstories of seven different profiles would be a pain.
Yeah, I tend to write my characters who aren't originally from Mata Nui as if they had homes and lives in backstory land, and just that their memories of that time are foggy and indistinct, rather than being completely nonexistent.
Not saying a whole lot regarding that my Ga-Matoran has no memories. But she is a Mata Nui native... Just saying.
Whereas the Kalta had their memories suppressed/removed, with a reason behind it (to protect it, amongst other mysterious reasons). Aelied being the exception; I specifically cleared it with Nuju that he retained his memories. But, he isn't going to say anything, for his own reasons. Creates an interesting paradox, as the character knows more than I do.
Fun fact: the 'Mission' the Kalta were deployed to Mata Nui to accomplish? I have no idea what it is. I suppose when something suitably world-shattering comes in, I'll have Aelied say something along the lines of 'That's it.'
Weird. Though not entirely unheard of for a character to know more on a subject then the player.
On a side note, could I possibly get a list of everyone who is currently with Aokora's expedition into the Temple? I am adding them to my Ga-Matoran's wiki page under friends and allies. I know a few of them, but would like a more complete list if possible. Also would help with who to interact with.

To keep that bunnying as indirect as possible, I'll provide a set of essential points here rather than enact them IC:
Brotherhood members:
- Echelon has delivered an ultimatum to Larikon: the Brotherhood can flee Ko-Koro, or be destroyed.
- Realising that the Legacy truly has the upper hand, Larikon has chosen retreat over destruction.
- Your characters have hastily packed up whatever they can carry and left the city.
- What you do now is up to you.
Anyone else in Ko-Koro:
- A certain amount of BZPtime will come into play here: we're not having a timeskip per se. You're free to continue with whatever you were doing, unless it relies on the BoA still being in the Koro.
- The Legacy is now in unchallenged control of the city.
- Echelon will be unavailable for interaction for a short time, as he has some (staff-plot-related!) business to attend to. If you were waiting for an audience with him, you may either wait until that's done or speak instead with other members of Nightfall.
If you have any questions about the above points, please do ask.
Original post for Ko-Wahi still needs to be updorted, by the by. Apparently it still thinks Matoro's in command of Ko-Koro, rather than being, y'know, dead.
Only Nuju (and GSR due his modliness) can update that.
The issue was brought up a while back, soon after Ko fell, because a bunch of those new players were starting their characters off there without realising that it had actually been taken over by Team Evil.
I believe, Prowl, this is the total list:
Aokora, Jalkron, Zaara, Orca, Aine, Shu, and Red.
For Maeloc's expedition, it is:
Maeloc, Fyura, Ira, Krakant, Zarkov, Luyn, and Insidian.
Thanks for pointing out the Ko-Koro thing, guys. It's been fixed.
