Hey everybody, sorry about vanishing for the past few days. It turns out that the internet at my house is down for the moment which means I can't get on very often. I'll do my best to keep up but activity is going to be pretty reduced until everything gets back to normal.
Question regarding the Ko-Koro timeskip: there were a few characters who were invited into the citadel to basically bear witness to Echelon's meeting with Larikon. Are they still inside, or were they dismissed once the meeting had concluded?
The latter.
Alright, thanks for clearing that up.
The issue was brought up a while back, soon after Ko fell, because a bunch of those new players were starting their characters off there without realising that it had actually been taken over by Team Evil.
Yeah... Stuff like this would be good to know if I go through with making my snowboarder Ko-Matoran.
I believe, Prowl, this is the total list:
Aokora, Jalkron, Zaara, Orca, Aine, Shu, and Red.
For Maeloc's expedition, it is:
Maeloc, Fyura, Ira, Krakant, Zarkov, Luyn, and Insidian.
Thanks . I believe I got them all then. Thought there may have been more but perhaps not. So would the second list be competition for what it is we are looking for or are they going to team up with us? Depending I may end up putting them on the enemy panel...
On a related note: Does this expedition have a specific name? So that I may put it on Orca's wiki page...
The 'Ga-Wahi Amulet Expedition' sounds official enough.
I just think of them as "Zaara and those other people."
I think of them as "The Goody Two-Shoes Adventurers Who Are Going To Get Their Butts Curb-Stomped If They Aren't Careful/Extremely Lucky," but that might just be my natural pessimism talking.
Aint gonna happen. Zaara has a throwing knife for everyone.
And they have three Skakdi, one of which sports a Parakuka, a Turaga of Earth, a Toa of Stone, a Brotherhood of Ak'rei'an member, and another character I currently can't recall at the moment.
What do we have?
Two Matoran, a Toa of Iron, a Toa of Plasma, a Toa of Air, a Lesterin of Crystal, and another Toa who has no idea what his element is.
Running in head-first probably isn't going to be the best strategy for this one.
On an unrelated topic, if something isn't done with the Brotherhood in the next few days, I'm thinking of having a certain psychotic Lesterin get separated from the rest of the group via a snowstorm so he can begin his murder-spree. That, or maybe we'll end up surprising the group that's trying to infiltrate Blackrock.
Oh noes.... Zenithex is back.
As will be Dravennica, once I finish up Celphrithia's character post.
Spoiler Alert: Things are going to end badly for one of them.
If you people are keeping score, Maeloc's team is technically outnumbered by Aokora's; also why I sent along Fyura. Who, for the record, also has Antidermis powers. Oh, and to Maeloc, the expedition is 'my minions'.
Also, stuff. Yeah. I've kinda been imagining Maeloc's voice like Belethor's from Skyrim, but now a little bit of John Malkovich being insistent at an Olive Garden is sneaking in.
A fire trap? Cute. I knew my Su-Toa would be able to make herself useful sooner or later.
Hey, this was built and designed for matoran, don't you get snappy with me!
Well, In-Universe, it was. I am well aware of how superpowers trivialize some traps. Aokora did hire you people for a reason.
I wasn't being snappy....
I'm just kidding; I know, the traps here are very basic. But stuff like mental traps that assess your true self are a bit out of grasp for what I wanted to work with.
Hmm. *scribbles down mental note for other temples*
Oh noes....
Keep up the temple runs. I wanna' join in sometime!
Yeah even though Orca(man I love her finally having a name) is just a last minute tagalong, to give me something to RP until I got my Main finalized, think she'd be any good for the team? I mean so far all she has done is build a pulley system to help get their supplies up to the cave. I mean she should earn her widgets same as everyone else...
Maybe I'll have her change into a Toa? that would be strange to see. What a reveal. She becomes a Toa and her memories come back along with her name...
Maybe I'll have her change into a Toa?
You'd need her to be given a Toa stone for that to happen, and the staff don't just give those away.
You can't just have a Matoran character change into a Toa. It's supposed to be a massive change for the character in question and something earned. As such its something that you need to work towards and build the character up before it can be done.
And for those not in one of the various skype chats, I'm back. Turns out that the internet was back on in the house the same day I was able to get on another network.

Hm... So a Player can make a Matoran, Toa, or Turaga character, however need staff permission to change forms to the next stage? Must have missed that one but no big. It was just an idea. I'm just as happy with her being a Matoran as I would be with her becoming a Toa.
Well, I think it's the player's prerogative if they want to turn a toa into a turaga, they just need to have staff permission. I can't actually think of any matoran-toa transformations besides the Maru that weren't confined to backstory, actually.
And sorry, spoilers, there are no toa stones in the temple.
Ninja'd.

Ferron went from Toa to Turaga, but yeah I suppose you'll need staff permission.
Do you refer to the koros as villages or towns or cities these days? Why?
City-States
Not in-character, mind you, but that's more or less how I personally see what they've now grown into.
Thebes best city-state.
Fight me.
Okay.
This... is... SPARTA!!!
*Kicks Hubert into a pit for going off-topic.*
Anyways...
Celphrithia is almost complete!

Well, that's creative. I'm genuinely curious as to how you come up with the names for all of your characters.

Oh man I haven't seen that old meme since I wrote 300 word comedies back in 2010.

All names sound suitably Anglo-Saxon/Latin in fantasy. Throw a few syllables around and ta-da!
Apologies for lapping into inactivity yet again. Every time I schedule time to postpone thing happens, whether it's a co-worker desperately seeking someone to cover them (I do some of the best work so I'm in high demand) or my roommates offering to play a board game with me like it was a carrot dangled before my nose.
But I will post this afternoon because I'm going to put my foot down and do what I want (I'M AN ADUUUUULT). Expect action from Yumi—and two other characters.
Time to bunker down then.
I believe I read on the wiki there was actually a Matoran > Toa transformation within the game. But it was the only one(perhaps at the time, may be others). Maybe this was the character and I was remembering wrong. I was thinking of turning Doseki into a Toa one day. Not sure what he'd have to do though... Right now he is lost in the Jungles of Le-Wahi. Not the most heroic of actions... lol

Joske and then each of the Maru are the only ones I know about happening within this iteration of the BZPRPG.
Basically, unless there's a staff plot involved, Matoran to Toa ain't going to happen any time soon.
Meanwhile, I've noticed that every time I end up on hiatus from the RPG for a while and then come back again, I forget which characters I normally write first person and which I normally write third person.
Gyaaaaaaah. I've already messed up on my first day back.
Part of Maeloc's backstory is that he gave up his toa-dom to prove himself, and gave the Toa Stone to the Legacy. I let Ghost know that's a thing he can make use of, though it's his prerogative.

I thought you needed to prove yourself to be a Toa and achieve your destiny before you could do that, but okay.
Destiny pending in that case, it seems.
