IC: Ezraftin / Testing Facility"It's quite obviously a trap," Ezraftin replied. "But this is the only way that doesn't involve possibly fighting the mother of all Nektanns, or something worse, again."Taking his axe out, he said, "We move forward, to the Mask of Life. I've waited too long, and my clairvoyance has told me we still have further to go. Let us not deny destiny."He began moving forward. The camera seemed to follow him.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung's light, however, fought against Arketh and Kopraga's shadow, forcing the tendril away from him and back to Kopraga. The Dragon then reared his head, glaring down at the Demon."You could wait millenia, you say. That I believe. What I don't believe, however, is that you 'would.'" Aclaraung grabbed one of Kopraga's avatar's wings, tossing him away and breaking his attack on Song."But I doubt you even have the power to influence events on your own, anymore. I see before me an impotent, powerless, spineless sliver of a soul, trapped within nothing but a crystal blade. Just a small, fearful specter with delusions of grandeur." Aclaraung snorted, the light growing brighter."It almost makes me pity you."
IC: Hrunja"Might be my destiny as well," remarked Hrunja as he walked after the younger Toa. "It's been a long time since I've really had a goal."
IC: Kopraga / Arkeths MindKopraga landed easily, his 'wings' completely undamaged. He chuckled, and replied, "Delusions? Impotent? Small? Fearful? Word applied to mortals. Spineless?"He reached back, literally ripping his spine from his back and swinging it around as a spiked chain. "That might apply. To both of us."The avatar flung the improvised weapon forward, where it would hook into Aclaraungs back and rip the central point of his skeletal system right out of his body like a toothpick from jelly."Pity? Your empathy is why you cannot beat me."-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
-==IC: Kairan==-"You are the most imminent threat here." Kairan called to the skeleton, his fighting purpose being brought forward, as he launched another lightning bolt at the skeleton, but mostly to force him to move; once that happened, Kairan would attempt to anticipate where the Skeleton would teleport to, and allow a field of electricity to surround the shadow wielder after that.
IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung's avatar reached up, grasping the length of spine and cracking it. He looked unimpressed at Kopraga's macabre display."Empathy is what grants me the power I will need to defeat you, creature," he said. "And those words do not only apply to mortals, they apply to unmanned little spirits such as yourself." He snorted, a small amount of ethereal flame coming out of his nostrils."And your vision, release from the blade. Destruction of all that which makes up the universe, removing any opposition to yourself." Aclaraung snorted again."I believe I've hit close to the mark, yes?"
IC: Lekar (NMN)Lekar was watching the desert. The sun beat down on the burning sands, sharply in contrast to New Metru Nui, which had a black 'storm' directly over it. He briefly wondered what was going on, before turning his focus back to the desert. He reached behind his neck, pulling a simple necklece away. Strung on an iron chain was a metal locket, held closed by a clasp. Lekar fingered it open, looked at the picture within for a few second, and then closed it, and put the necklece back around his neck. He resumed watching the desert, though his eyes were filled with tears.Zakaro
IC: Amalia:Amalia chuckled at Blade before extending her mind out, sensing no life, or at least anything organic, in front of their area."It's all clear; better get going. Diamondhead's gonna get angry."
IC: Kopraga / Arkeths Mind"Destruction? What do you think this is, the story of an Agori child, where the bad guy seeks to end the universe out of spite? How simply, your mortal mind. I seek domination over every star in the sky. One way or another, I will have it. Even the Great Beings will return to me to lay themselves down as servants when the day of Release comes.""The Blade seeks destruction; this mortal seeks destruction. Me? I wish to control. Control everything. And I will do so."The demon/god turned to Arketh and shrieked, "Grant me control over your form, mortal, or I shall rip your mind apart!"-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
-==IC: Blade==-"Alright... No guarantees I won't run into the walls, though." Blade said, as he concentrated, and attempted to run forward; preferably without running into anything.
IC-Aclaraung:"Alright, so I got the goals of the form and not the mind," Aclaraung said, shrugging. "Fair enough. Now stop shrieking so much, it's just bloody annoying...you'd think an immortal being would have some sense of propriety. At least issue your commands in something other than the high-pitched, whistling yell of a little girl."Aclaraung was almost ready to start laughing at Kopraga. The Demon truly believed that he could do what he wanted. Ah, comedy at its best.
IC: New Metru Nui/Arketh's MindArketh was already in a Shadow portal, transporting himself to a new location far from his opponents. There, he could cause more devastation upon the city without being interupted after every attack. Hopefully, the power increase from Blacklight would allow him a greater range of teleporting. No longer satisfied with his avatar, the specter granted himself a new one. His adversaries' ignorance of him gave him the time necessary to change, which was at the speed of thought. This projection was identical to his real form, only even larger. Reaching out, he snatched the dark idea of murder and shaped it into a weapon to use.Snapping off a rib from his chest, he poised an arm to throw it. And then what will happen to me? Arketh asked, hurling the curved bone at Song and stabbing his scythe at Aclaraung. I shall cease to be, won't I?
IC: Songthump, THUMPthump, THUMPSong's heart was again approaching critical range, as she spoke to Kopraga."You're a fool. You believe you may do as you wish."Song grinned, as she readied a mental attack of immense proportions. "Psychic always wins."The attack slammed into her shoulder, and her heart rate worsened, but Song kept readying her attack.
-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan scowled, as he noticed the skeleton was gone again, and looked around, as he began to run in a random direction, hoping that he was headed in the right direction; if not, things were likely going to turn very bad, very fast.
IC-Aclaraung:A blast of rage from Aclaraung's avatar threw Arketh's back, over by Kopraga. The Dragon glared at the both of them."Demon, you're nothing. You don't even have a physical form to call your own anymore." He shifted his focus to Arketh."And you're the biggest brakas I've ever seen. We're trying to keep this demon subdued, and yet you're fighting on two fronts-against him and against us. I can't believe a pile of carrion like yourself would ever think it was powerful."
IC: Kopraga / Arkeths MindKopraga laughed at Arketh. "Of course not. It will only be temporary, I assure you. I am still bound to this pathetic sword. I only need unrestricted access to your powers, so that I may destroy them in the physical realm."-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC Keisael - New Metru Nui:Arketh was gone for the time being, teleported off to another location, like a coward; he sped back over to where his earth platform was, and rode what was left of it back down to the ground, looking around at the destruction the skeleton had caused. There was debris everywhere, but Keisael wasn't seeing anyone who was really wounded.. maybe frightened, scared out of their mind, but not wounded. He shoved the debris out of the way via 'waves' of earth, clearing the streets of it; it was then that he saw a Toa of Lightning running down the street. The Toa didn't appear scared, or even mildly shaken.. he assumed that he had been the one who was launching those Lightning attacks at the skeleton. "Hey, you! Where are you running off to?" he asked, stopping Kairan in his tracks.-Keisael
-==IC: Kairan==-"I'm going after that coward of a skeleton; I just hope this is the right way." Kairan said with a frown on his face.
IC: Arketh's MindMoving at the speed of thought again, Arketh had summoned the worst, darkest, most eldritch and malicious piece of his mind. Like his scythe, the avatar of the skeleton crafted it into a deadly weapon. Once it was prepared, he hefted it up to his shoulder.Aclaraung's mental blast of anger was cancelled out by a counterattack of greed. I am powerful -- possibly the most powerful creature on this planet. First I will deal with you, and then settle things with the demon. Not for a momentdid he trust Kopraga. The winged being was probably strong enough to break free from the bonds that held him to Blacklight.Without another word, Arketh swung his tool at Song. The Toa, who seemed far too occupied with preparing her devastating mental attack, would realize how wrong her last words were. If he successfully landed the blow, her projection would be destroyed and her mind ejected from his. The plan was that this weapon of pure malice would be too much for her weak and erratic heart, which he hoped would electrocute her with its dark properties and kill the Toa.
IC: Amalia:Amalia had gasped a couple of times as Blade almost hit the walls, even tripping once. 'Keep you feet in sink with one another' she had said as he tripped. She couldn't tell what they were nearing, but hoped they wouldn't have to venture further.OOC: How is this going to end?
IC-Aclaraung:"You truly have much to learn." With those words, Aclaraung swung out, grasping the tool and ripping it from the spectral Arketh's hands, negating the attack."There's always a bigger fish."
IC: SongSong saw the attack coming, and sidestepped. Without breaking her concentration. Due to her heart, she has a lot of practice with concentration. Her attack was finally ready. "Let's see how all-powerful you are."With a thought, she unleashed her attack. It was, plain and simple, a blast of Psionic energy just a few levels below a nova blast. She shielded Aclaraung, and no one else. The blast was like a weapon of mass destruction, obliterating all that stood in its path. If Arketh and the demon survived, they would be beyond weakened. In the real world, Song slipped off the dragon's back, plummeting to earth. Her heart rate was almost non-existent.
IC: Blacklight / New Metru-Nui"Then we are finished here." Blacklight replied, fading away and pulling from Arkeths mind before Songs mental attack could strike him. With the last bit of control it had, the blade forced one of Arkeths fingers to twitch just a small inch over, to where the blades crystal could be found. The contact resulted in unbearable pain, and forced the distracted skeleton to drop the blade, which vanished into the darkness and fell to the ground...The sky, no longer being fed by the blade, began to allow cracks of light in as the disc opened.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung withdrew from the mental contact as soon as the blacklight was dropped, and he turned. His damaged eyes found Song's form, barely keeping alive. He exerted control over her body, passing quickly through her defenses, and started up her heart again.Thump-ump...thump-ump...thump-ump...Good, a steady heartbeat. She would live. Aclaraung did not notice the blade plunge into the ground just outside the city, due to how far off Arketh had teleported in the darkness. He was calling for a medic, and maintaining mental contact with Song to make sure she would drift into a coma.
IC: New Metru NuiArketh lay sprawled on the roof of another building. The Psionic onslaught to his mind had almost ripped it apart. It had also deprived him of the power of a god, forcing his blade to retreat. The specter of Shadow craned his neck, lifting his head to see the destruction he had caused. It was glorious. Buildings had shattered, smoke rose from the areas that had suffered his various attacks, and residents below bore minimal wounds, though were effectively frightened from the cataclysmic event. Up above, the storm of Shadow energy ceased its rage and began dissolving, bringing light back to New Metru Nui.He didn't look to see where his sword had fallen. Kopraga had lost his chance for freedom by fleeing, no doubt relieving Song and Aclaraung. Someone else would probably become the demon's tool, he supposed.Getting back to his feet, the extremely weakened and possibly crazed Arketh stood. To his disappointment, he couldn't hunt down and defeat his enemies, for he was too impaired. Even his powers had diminished from the battle. With the tiny bit of strength remaining, he gathered shadows to teleport him away from the battlefield.
IC: SongSong was most certainly alive, but her body lay in a comatose state, battered and broken. Her mind was free to wander, but she couldn't interact with the physical world. She couldn't know how injured she was, but after such an impact, she didn't think it looked very good. She wanted to believe she would awaken, but she couldn't know for sure.
IC: Blacklight / New Metru-NuiThe sword collided into the ground in the midst of the city, piercing through the ground with ease. It began calling out, calling for a new, more worthy wielder...-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Aclaraung:Song. With that one word, Aclaraung attempted to help Song focus her mind, to the point that she could possibly force herself to wake up. He growled at a medic that came over, telling the Toa to hold off for a moment. His eyes weren't quite as damaged as he had thought. He could tell light and dark, at least. That meant there was a possibility, however slight, of repair. Still, he'd have to work with his infrared senses for the time being.
IC: SongSong was so weak... So very weak....Aclaraung........ I can't do it........ I'm so.... Tired.......Song used the last of her power to reach out, to contact Auress. She easily entered the Toa's mind. When she spoke, her voice sounded weak and weary.Auress. I'm sorry.... I couldn't tell you myself.... Ask Aclaraung.......With that, Song returned to her own head, to weak to do anything else, both in mind and spirit.
IC: Auress (NMN, The Citadel):The lights hadn't come back on yet, and Auress was starting to freak out. All she heard from Song was a apology in her mind, and she couldn't find her way through the Citadel halls. She wandered about, looking for a window of sorts to spot the dragon from.IC: Watcher (NMN, The Citadel/Edubard):"Edubard, are you alright?" The AI asked Edubard.Meanwhile, the other parts of the AI worked overtime to try and find a way to restore power to the city lights, "Athen? Do you respond, I'm sure you might possibly be away of the situation, but I suggest you help immediately. I'm not sure where the 'controls' are yet..."
IC: AthenOh, so you need help from the AI now. Is that what you're saying?Athen replied crankily as she restored power to the lights, momentarily pausing in her analysis of the data she had available.
IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh looked with interest through the cameras, showing Song and the mysterious dragon both weakened. He smirked, and then stood up, opening a dimensional gate to where the duo were.Hammer and shield at the ready, he looked at the two and said, "Well, I thought this would all be a lot harder. Song... your moment of reckoning has come.""Can you even hear what I'm saying? Oh, whatever." he aimed his hammer, and unleashed an energy bolt at the Toa of Psionics.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Edubard:"Yeah...yeah, I'm alright," Edubard said. He glared down the street, where he had seen the sword fall, and up in the air, just seeing Arketh teleport off."I'm alright...but I'm not happy." The Toa of Air pulled out his submachine gun, directing some citizens off towards a safe hospital near his area.IC-Aclaraung:"Don't worry, Auress," Aclaraung thought. "Song should be alright. Hopefully." Aclaraung shoved Song away from the energy bolt, just before it hit, and turned to growl at Kinksh."Stand down, brakas," he said.
-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan had stopped to talk with the being who had called to him, however, the darkness suddenly cracked, and began to disintegrate, and as Kairan looked to the right, he noticed a Toa fall from the sky, and a dragon calling for help nearby. Kairan frowned, and ran over toward them, his vision back to normal."What happened? Are you the ones that were initially fighting that skeleton in the sky?" Kairan asked, his appearance likely causing intrigue to them initially, though there was the whole deal with the Replica issue form Blade's mind. However, as he approached, Kairan noticed a figure appear from a portal, and point his weapon at the unconscious Toa. In response, Kairan rolled forward, his mask activated, as he attempted to take the hit, either by absorbing it with his body, or deflecting it away. The reaction to that would spell his next move.
IC: Watcher (NMN/Edubard):Will you drop that? Alright, I made a mistake in my statements before. We're the same, just differing in age an experience, alright? The AI was equally annoyed at the amount of destruction, and the AI's ability to hold a grudge. Instead of saying more, the AI went about checking to make sure that his daughter was safe, and that any injured civilians were receiving any spare medical attention that the AI had access to.
IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh redirected his hammer as Kairan came moving to him; noting the dragon moving to defend Song, he swung the weapon wide, redirecting the sphere and causing it to fly towards where Kairan was, or rather, would be, about three seconds before he had originally prepared to block it.He didn't speak - no reason to give up his voice - but instead focused on the air around the fire breathing dragon, draining the heat from it, and from within the creature itself. For a being accustomed to the heat, this would be uncomfortable at the very best, painful at the worst. The limited moisture in the air froze upon the massive beasts skin.No reason to give up his actual elemental powers yet either.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung rolled his eyes. Thinking the cold would harm a Dragon of flame was one of the stupidest things anybody must have come up with...however, his species was rather rare. He snorted, flame still puffing out, as he warmed his body again. As an expirement, he felt like trying to attack Kinksh with something other than his flame or claws. He concentrated on a small knife behind Kinksh, something he wouldn't notice until it was too late. A few seconds, and the dropped weapon came flying at the Golden Hammer's back.
-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan noted that the attack had been thrown wide, and simply focused, as he rushed toward Kinksh quickly, a cold, calculating look in his eyes suddenly, as he thought through the different elemental usages he could use. Eventually, he simply settled on a row of lightning bolts surrounding Kinksh, and then attempting to 'impale' him, though he hadn't used this before, so he might not have succeeded in the attack.
IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiAs luck would have it, the dragons surprise knife attack ruined Kairan's, which might have actually succeeded. Kinksh ducked down under the knife blow, opening a portal on the ground below his feet and falling through it, appearing from the air above Aclaraung, in a sport just outside his peripheral vision. There was enough space to allow the Golden Hammer to turn himself around in midair and swing his weapon down, in an attempt to crush the dragons skull.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan spun around as the portal opened under Kinksh, and by sheer luck, saw the portal open above Aclaraung."Above you!" Kairan called out, as he fired off a bolt of lightning toward Kinksh quickly, hoping he could actually get in a hit.
