BZPRPG: Ga-Wahi

IC: Wisp and Mirra.

"Okay, now you're just being childish," Mirra scowled. 

"You want to play this game, huh?" Wisp asked, "Okay, let's play." He called on his powers, creating a thick cloud of smoke around himself and the Vortixx. Then he used his mask to shrink himself down to half his size and shoulder charged the Vortixx, intending to knock him backwards into the water. 

IC:

"I'm standing right here."

IC: The Seventh

The Seventh came upon Gabe busking.

Of course, throwing a fedora onto your head doesn't really look like busking, so she had absolutely no idea what the guy was doing.

So she vocalised that.

"What is this?"

IC:
"Childish? I hardy think so, I-"

My words were cut off as smoke appeared out of nowhere.

"Now what's this then?" I said, coughing.

My response was something small bumping into me. I look down to see the Grey "Toa" had tried to push me over by running into me. I picked him up by his head.

"Now, look here. I'm trying to help you out, but your responses are far from... justified. You make yourself out as "defenders" and "guardians", but you seem to be trying to murder me this very instance. So, are you going to tell me something, or am I going to have to run you through?" I said, motioning with my sword up and down Wisp's small body.

IC: Skyra

"Yeah he's standing right there, god." 

IC: "Yeah. I'm lookin' right at you, I know."

His eyes flicked over to Skyra.

Really?

Then just as quickly turned back to oh so mercilessly judging, nay, waylaying Dor's baby blues. 

IC:

"I happen to be a quasi-reformed young man, Compassrose.."

IC: "Your entourage leaves me wondering, Shaddix. You've yet to shake your area of effect corruption energy. We need to keep working. Points to Flay for holding firm, though!" he responded with comically overdone seriousness.

Wait,am I still on the trading cards metaphor?

Whatever. Skyra's fault.

"Anyways, cake, right?"

IC:

 

"Why, you must begin making amends of course! It's only the responsible thing to do. You can start by compensating myself for the anguish you've caused me, Casanuva. I demand it."

 

Another Toa had appeared. From the way she walking, Soraph had a feeling she knew Casanuva - maybe she was part of his fighting unit he'd been talking about. Or, Soraph mused comically, another one of the hearts he'd broken in the past.

IC: Casanuva was about to say something charming, when he heard his sister.

"Casanuva! We're leaving, now."

"But I still need to find Nunonu-"

"We. Are. Leaving. Vakua's dropping off a note at the Great Takea for him." Kalyss glared at Casanuva, then looked to the person he was talking to, and smirked. "Was he bothering you? I can deal with him if he was bothering you."

IC:

"Oh no, he wasn't a bother at all. He was actually pretty useful, we've been able to learn about each other's cultures from each others."

Soraph leaned towards the newcomer, whispering in her ear. "Though, maybe you should deal with him, just to make sure he knows who's boss."

"I'm guessing you're of his 'sisters,' in his fighting unit?"

IC:

"Childish? I hardy think so, I-"

OOC: From BS01 - The Kanohi Pekhui "allows its user to shrink themselves and their tools... while still retaining their full strength and power capacity." So Wisp would have hit you with the same amount of force he would have if he hadn't been shrunk down. 

IC: Wisp and Mirra.

"Just ignore my boyfriend," Mirra cut in, "he can be a bit... unorthodox." 

Wisp said nothing. Instead, he swung his fist at the hand holding him with all the force he could muster. 

IC: Gabe

Gabe released the hat from the crown of his head and presented it to the approaching Matoran.

"This..." he began, "...is the most glorious thing ever crafted."

He flipped it back onto his head.

IC: The Seventh

"It's a hat bro," said the Seventh flatly. "And it ain't as glorious as me."

IC: Skyra

"Yes, the cake!" I had nearly forgotten. "The cake shall have....oh at least seven layers." I licked my lips.

IC: Kalyss smiled. Whoever this was, she liked her. She just gave permission to punch Casanuva. She didn't really need permission, but the encouragement was always nice. Casanuva backed up.

"Hey now, you said there wasn't time!"

"Trust me, I can put you down faster than you can flirt your way into a mess we have to clean you out of." Kalyss's form shimmered as she activated her mask, speeding behind Casanuva. A kick took out his knee, and put him into a choke hold from behind with her left arm. Casanuva didn't do much to struggle; if he used his full range of powers, or the strength afforded to him by his Pakari, it would mean escalating this playful match.

Kalyss extended her right hand towards Soraph, smiling. "Kalyss, Toa of Plasma. I'm in charge of the members of the Toa Kalta here."

Ooc: oh, okay, didn't know that.

Ic: After saying about her "boyfriend's" actions, I dropped him as he swung a punch at me.

IC: Wisp and Mirra.

Wisp dropped, his punch going wide. Stumbling slightly, he quickly brought himself back up to full size to avoid falling into the water. Turning towards the Vortixx, he started to open his mouth to spit out a string of insults, but Mirra slammed her hand over his mouth. 

"Terribly sorry." she told the Vortixx. "We'll get out of your way, now." she started to pull Wisp away, "have fun in Ga-Koro!" 

IC: Ekko

"So that's what that was."

"Really hard to tell what you're thinking at times."

IC: "Well if I can't figure me out, neither can our enemies, right?"

Sure that works just keep it rollin'.

IC: Ekko

"I'm sure that made sense in some convoluted, alternate reality, warped kind of way."

"And is this thing gonna go anywhere?" Ekko added, not even bothering to alter her voice at all.  "Cause I love watching the waves."

IC: "Captain's plotting a course, I guess."

IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)

"I can wait for the waves, what I can't wait for is the change to see them in the sunset. It's been too long since the last time I got to see that sight"

IC:
"Well I uh-" But my words were cut short by the abrupt departure of the "Toa". I left to examine the area.

IC: Ekko

A pained expression shot across the De-Toa's face as Wherya spoke, but she recovered fairly quickly.

"Right."

"Me too."

IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)

"Why so mope... oh"

Knock knock, who's there? Empress Hindsight, that's who. But then again...

My first thought was to apologize, but that thought quickly got replaced by a moment or two of musing. She was totally free to be jealous of other people's working eyes, but she also had something they could never have...

"Loo-listen. I know you can't see. I dunno how much it bothers you, but you also have something none of us do, that hearing of yours, there's probably no other like it on the island. I can close my eyes and listen to the waves, but I'll never hear them the same way you do. I know you can't, say, enjoy colors, because you can't see them, but I can never enjoy a concert or a quiet breeze the way you can."

"That's what makes you special"

OOC: For some reason I went full-on after school special. 

IC: Ekko

"Hear that Sodu, she thinks I'm special."

IC: "What's with that accusatory tone?! I never denied that!" he cried in indignant response.

IC: Ekko

"But you were thinking it," She replied, once again adapting her voice to sound like the Toa of Air's.

IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)

"Oh you two are just adorable?"

IC: "And what's gotten into you now? Are you asking us if we are or something? Believe me, I have no intention of answering that question! How would I even know, you're always your own worst critic!"

Wait

Wait hold on--

"And furthermore, what are you implying with that question anyway?! We barely know eachother!"

There must be something in the water here.

What would Miss Compassrose do about it? She knew a lot about the world.

Wonder where she is.

Hey wait could that guy've--

IC: Mirra and Wisp.

"Are you stupid, or crazy, or both?" Mirra snapped at Wisp, stopping him just outside the city gates.

"Bored, actually," Wisp clarified, "and admittedly more than a little short tempered." 

"But why pick a fight with the first guy we ran into?" Mirra scowled, "if you really wanted a fight, why didn't you go find Skorm or Chavara?" 

"Because I don't want to die," replied Wisp, "Duh. Anyway, it made that guy stopped bugging us, didn't it? Now we just have to wait for the Kalta and their buddies to catch up, then we can finally leave this city behind."

IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)

"What, just because I'm the artsy type that observation has to mean something? Why I never-okay it totally does"

"That's just what I think, though, feel free to take as much or as little out of it as you want."

Besides, I had other things to gush over, like the fact that oh god I was basically living the plot of a silly adventure novel and it's greeeeat.

IC: Ekko

"Wherya stop it you're making me blush," Ekko commented in what just barely wasn't a monotone, with a noticeable lack of color behind her Kanohi.

IC:

Tyrus grunted and crossed his arms over his chest. His eyes were hard, and his mouth was a thin line.

"Private Talli," he said, his voice firm and rough, "I appreciate your tenacity in the face of trouble and your efforts at punctuality. But the fact remains that you've just experienced what can only be described as a panic attack which was induced by a hallucination which was in turn induced by an emotional trigger. I apologize for my brusqueness, but it would irresponsible not to escort you home."

He glanced over at Tarkah, his mouth twitching downwards in his best approximation of a sympathetic grimace.

"As for you, Private Tarkah, you have no obligation to accompany us if you do not wish so. I realize that these envoys must be something you're quite looking forward to seeing."

IC:

"Sudo," I said, my face making a valiant attempt to remain deadpan as I looked at the suffering Toa of Air, "I feel as though you're attempting to retake control of this conversation. May I spare you the trouble of continuing in this endeavour by telling you that it's far too late for that."

-Void

IC: He looked pleadingly to the Angler, face caught between the tidally locked emotions of "I need help here" and "But I must do it"

"But if I don't, who will?"

The captain, maybe... ran the ever-present stream of consciousness inner-monologue. He could probably do it.

His ship after all.

"It's my responsibility to clean this up, no matter how hopeless it may be. Like I told Ekko, people can only help themselves. I need to somehow stop what I've started, you have to understand."

IC:

"Song, I'ma need a tissue somethin' fierce. There's gale force feels batterin' down my eyelids right now." Raknar withdrew a cigarette - it looked positively miniscule in his ear-to-ear smile - and looked at his first mate playfully. "Should we cuddle too?"

IC: T-Taichou!

"Not you too," he warbled weakly. "I thought this was an adventure story on the high seas, not some romantic comedy where I play the only straight man to an entire cast of wise guys! Karz, I thought I was this ship's wise guy! I don't do well with role-reversal, I'm not good at it! Where'd this all come from?!" he demanded, pitch slowly creeping up higher and higher to a more manic, panicked state.

IC: Ekko

"Sudo you're gonna pass out if you keep on-"

"Sudo I'm serious-"

"Sudo relax man."

IC: Relax?

"Relax?! You're telling me to relax? It's you who's the root cause of all this!" Is this part of her game? Well played, in hindsight. "You relax! I'm being perfectly rational here! What crewmember wouldn't be worried if his captain turned against him?"

 

IC: Wherya (Southern Charm)

"Apparently the same crew member who doesn't have a problem with getting a hug." I said with a telling glance at Ekko.

"Speaking of, do you want a hug? you look like you could use one right about now."

Nope, I totally wasn't doing that just to needle him, nopenope.
