Techna: Breakdown

IC-Aclaraung:There was one problem with Kinksh's attack, however-Aclaraung's infrared sense was not limited just to his field of vision. The Dragon moved his head away from the hammer, which smashed hard into the ground. Aclaraung then lashed out with his tail, grasping Kinksh around the ankle with it and trying to pull the Toa over.

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh raised his shield to easily neutralize Kairan's lightning bolt as he fell, but deactivated it as he fell to the ground. He twisted midair as the hammer hit the rocky surface, doing a somersault while spinning about the way he was facing, assuming a battle stance and reactivating his shield.The Toa of Fire raised his hammer and again drained all of the heat from the area surrounding Aclaraung. However, the dragons attempts to reheat the air a second time would prove useless; all of the heat he created was simply being absorbed into Kinksh; or, more specifically, charging his hammer, though there wasn't really a way to tell that. The beasts blood would be running cold.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Aclaraung:Again, Aclaraung rolled his eyes. His inner flame, that which kept him running, that made him a Dragon...could not be absorbed. Aclaraung, in boredom and wishing not to exert himself, caused a rider-less parked hovercraft to fall on Kinksh, most likely causing him extreme damage. If anything, it would cause him to lose his concentration on Aclaraung.

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh simply moved to the side, and the hovercraft fell off to that direction - indeed, now it was blocking Kairan's line of sight to him.Having drawn enough energy from the biological impossibility, Kinksh aimed his hammer at the ground below Aclaraung, and allowed the heat energy to go to there, instantly superheating the ground and causing the incredibly heavy reptile to sink a couple feet into the ground - it was quite a bit hotter than magma, and much less dense, making such a feat possible. As quickly as it happened, the ground was immediately drained of its heat, which was then fired once again as a blast towards Song.OOC: I guess in the magic world there's a way to not sink, so provide that way.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan frowned, as his attack didn't work, and then thought for a moment, as he attempted to create a field of electricity, preferably only around Kinksh, and then send a powerful spark through it. The only problem was, that was when the hovercraft was sent at him, which would mean the hovercraft's engine would likely be affected, and set on fire and an explosion would be imminent.

OOC-The fact that he's got control over fire as well, and has wings?IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung, however, had lifted off with his wings, making sure that he wouldn't sink into the pavement. He then re-absorbed the heat energy as it was blasted at Song, keeping the Toa of Psionics unharmed.Once he did that, Edubard popped around the corner. The advanced targeting system that Watcher had uploaded to the Toa of Air's HUD made it very easy for him to lock onto Kinksh and fire quickly with his submachine gun, and another he had picked up while heading over this way. Once they hit the electric field, the magnetic polarity would speed the bullets up quite a bit, and most likely give the bullets a bit of a shocking aftereffect.Literally.

OOC-The fact that he's got control over fire as well, and has wings?

OOC: Ever seen a bird taking off? Ignoring the fact something that big couldn't fly by using wings, it would be far too large to take off when it was being pulled down, especially since once the first of the liquid rock was over you, then you'd have that weight atop you as well. So that's not a valid argument in the least.IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh could sense the heat coming from the hovercraft and knelt down, his shield activated to full width at his side and blocked the pieces of shrapnel. As SMG bullets flew over his head, the Toa of fire turned and released a ball of fire at the direction of the source, where it exploded.The Toa of Fire charged forward at that moment, heading into melee with the dragon beast.IC: Rinnder / New Metru-NuiAs the flames cleared in Edubards sight, a Vortixx wearing a trench coat stepped from behind and opened fire with his laser rifle, thus taking him out of the fight at hand.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC: AthenAthen went about her task, somewhat appeased, until she spotted the fight on a monitor.Hurriedly, her hologram appeared next to Kal. "Kal, we've got a bit of a problem outside."

OOC: Yet, the quickly heated rock provides a rather useful updraft. When gliding the effect is much more pronounced, but the updraft will still lift up a body above it. Following Bionicle physics, he could just add to that and push himself up without even altering his position.IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung glared down at Kinksh, before using his new-found telekinetic ability to stop the Toa of Fire from moving. "Honestly, what is the point in this?" He growled.IC-Edubard:Edubard looked over at Rinnder, and smiled as he dodged away from the laser rifle."Hullo there!" He called, SMGs aimed. "Having a good day, I hope?" He loosed a few more shots, quickly reloading afterwards.IC-Kal:"I noticed, Athen, don't worry." Kal turned to Mars, tapping the Matoran on the shoulder to catch her attention."Okay, Mars, you see that annoying Toa of Fire with the hammer down there?" He asked. When Mars nodded, he smiled."Wanna pull out some guns and shoot him?"

IC: Mars already was handling her sniper rifle. She scanned the area, finally giving a smirk to Kal."Gimme a good roof and I'll be on it."

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh continued forward calmly. The telekinetic force was strong, but not very well controlled, as if somebody had given an untrained Matoran a rocket launcher and expected them to know how to use it in a gladiatorial arena. It was a potent weapon, but unrefined. Badly controlled. Even strong psionics users wouldn't be able to hold him for long, let alone a big lizard.Without a word, he began firing energy bolts at the great dragon.IC: Rinnder / New Metru-NuiEach of the bullets deflected harmlessly off of the Vortixx's shield, and Rinnder shook his head with disgust as he tossed a shrapnel grenade at Edubard. The grenade exploded violently, and Rinnder continued his assault.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Kal:Kal smiled, grabbing his KRA-7 DMR. He gestured to one building relatively close."I think Praggos's house is a good spot," he said. "What about you?"IC-Edubard:Edubard, however, had ducked behind a piece of fallen debris at the last second, the shrapnel from the grenade being deflected off of it. To Rinnder it would look like he was dead."Watcher," Edubard whispered, out of Rinnder's hearing, "That Vortixx and the Ta-Toa here, designated enemies of the state. Lethal force advised and permitted. Fire at will."IC-Aclaraung:Alright, that didn't work as well as Aclaraung had hoped. He would need to train again, but due to his memories it shouldn't take too long to regain his former mastery of his skills.Meanwhile, he telekinetically pulled a length of thick protosteel from some scrap from the hovercraft's explosion, manipulating it to block the energy blasts before launching it at Kinksh as medics quickly pulled Song away from the battle.

IC Keisael - New Metru Nui - Watching:Fights, fights, and more fights. That's what today's topic was. Not five minutes after Arketh had been dealt with, the Dragon and the Toa(of Psionics, he assumed) were already under attack by a new foe. That Toa of Lightning had rushed over to help them, and Keisael didn't feel any need to aid them, as it appeared they had the fight under control so far. Well.. they were still alive at least, so that got them points. -Keisael

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan, however, responded to Kinksh being held temporarily, and attempted to surround him in a lightning field, trying to quickly send lightning bolts from some of the makeshift 'bars' every so often, to keep Kinksh preoccupied.

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiThe look on his face wouldn't show it. No, it wouldn't, especially not from behind the mask. But Kinksh had already finished what needed to do here. Song was being carried away, to a place where the dragon couldn't protect her.More importantly, one of the 'medics' carrying her way was a trained Ce-Matoran assassin who would finish Song as soon as she had 'the Ace' alone.Unimpressed by the attacks thrown at him, Kinksh opened a portal below his feet and fell through, reappearing on the side of Aclaraungs face and swinging his hammer at the dragons jaw, now using him as cover from Kairan.IC: Rinnder / New Metru-NuiOh, and Rinnder tossed a shrapnel grenade to make sure his opponent was down.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung had thought, however, that based on Kinksh's original attack he was going after Song again, so Aclaraung had quickly jumped that way to guard Song from the randomly-teleporting Toa of Fire, the medics being scared off by his randomly jumping at them.He viewed Kinksh's hammer swing with curiosity, before releasing his flame at the Toa of Fire.

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinsh literally split the fire down the middle as it came at him, causing it to form a brilliant wall around all sides of him to obstruct him from view. He was all too aware that snipers would already be coming for him, and the more defenses, the better.The newly formed wall began to shift, as if it were alive, as Kinksh charged forward, the flames blocking him from Kairan and any attackers view. He was still considering whether or not he should remain any longer; after all, his purpose was done. He decided he could use the workout, and no reason to let his attackers realize his true goal.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

OOC: Oh, yes, because there are so many snipers in CHI.IC: Mars nodded. "Hasta," She said, before whipping open a window and leaping from it.The 'matoran's electromagnets activated with a thought. Between that and her strength, it was easy to land on the side of a building. Mars repeated the process a few times. Finally, she came to the one she was looking for.Her senses scanned Praggos' roof. It was totally unoccupied. A series of battlement-shape butresses ran along its sides, big enough to provide cover but small enough to have a good field of view.It didn't take Mars long to set up. Her Gapaka-52's scope peered out from behind one of the butresses towards the fight below.As soon as the moment presented itself, she would send a few of her babies at the center of mass of the guy in flame. Said 'babies' being protosteel slugs capable of blasting through an APC.There was always the possiblity that someone might find her or have the foresight to attack the roofs. But she'd prepared for that.Her claws sprung from their sheathes.Anyone trying to counter-snipe would be in for a nasty surprise.

OOC: Did you even read all of my above post, Lev? xD He's right back by Song again.IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung reabsorbed his flame, bringing Kinksh into view once more. He'd have to supply the next wall with his own energy, after Aclaraung blasted him back with a quick gust of air from his wings.IC-Kal:Kal smiled, quickly running out. He formed his hands into fists, his gauntlet-blades shooting out again. He shoved them into the building before him, before quickly using them to climb up and to where Mars was, via parkour once he came to the top of the first building.He then pulled his KRA-7 off of his back, pulling it up and scanning for Kinksh.

OOC: Oh, yes, because there are so many snipers in CHI.

OOC: Why not? Unless the implication is that nobody in CHI leadership is smart enough to say 'what if we need to take him out from a long way off?' and threw all of the sniper rifles out.@ Kal; That's why he's charging.IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh provided his own flaming barrier once more, strengthening it against another absorption, and closed into melee with the dragon, where he made an attack with his hammer.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan thought for a while, and sent a lightning bolt flying down to the ground, aimed at the flames that weren't near the dragon, hoping that he hit this mysterious Toa.

IC-Aclaraung:It required some fancy footwork, but Aclaraung managed to get both himself and Song out of the way of the Hammer, which smashed almost into the ground again. Lev's back and top were now exposed.IC-Kal:Kal smiled-he had a clear shot now. He pulled the trigger on his DMR a few times, sending some of the steel-core, armour-piercing 6.8mm bullets flying at supersonic speeds down to kill Kinksh.

IC: TainTain was perched on an office building a short ways away, watching the fight through the sight of his custom rifle. He was rather annoyed. He was not at all found of ungrateful people, or cowards. He watched for his chance to fire his armor piercing rounds straight into Kinksh's head, not knowing there was someone a short ways away about to do the same.Then, he saw his chance, and opened fire, aiming for the back of Kinksh's head.

OOC: No, Lev. The implication is that they wield an assortment of motley weapons and probably no longer even have a sniper corps due to the multiple attacks.Hence: Why expect sniping, of all things?IC: Mars readied her Gapaka to shoot around the gold toa. Even if Kal had got the jump on her, she could deliver the finishing blow.

OOC: Because he's not so naive to assume that somebody could go for a stealth attack? You're terrible at being paranoid.IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiThe fire shield wasn't just an obstructing show; it was practical as well, and Kals bullets were melted before they made their way through. Not that they would have hit anyways.Assuming that a warhammer can be swung so hard it hits the ground is incredibly foolish, as the weapon was used in one hand. Even if somebody was incompetent enough to slam it into the ground, they'd probably have dropped it midswing first. There was nothing exposed as Kinksh closed in, now too close for the dragon to escape, and swung at him.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Aclaraung:Angered, Aclaraung reached up a hand, grasping the warhammer. He ignored the heat he felt in the weapon, and quickly shoved it down low, before shoving both the warhammer and Kinksh back farther away, to keep distance between the two combatants.IC-Kal:"Oh, bloody...Alright, do they make such a thing as heat proof bullets, Mars, and do you have any in 6.8x43mm cartridges?"

OOC: 'Because he's not so naive to assume that somebody could go for a stealth attack?'Right. I'll get back to you when that makes sense.Besides which, there are only two members in the CHI with sniper rifles (judging by the lack of npc turnout)-one an executive, the other seemingly incapacitated. If anything, expect a Vector SMG.Stealth attacks for them seem to consist of stuff using a Huna or Volitak to stab or shoot close-up. That's the impression I got from the profiles.IC: The bullets melted. But Mars had seen him move fowards without fixing the barrier, and her bullets were protosteel anyways.She let loose a burst of fire in the location of the toa. No shield would melt her babies."No and no," The 'matoran' said nonchalantly.

IC: Emma - New Metru NuiIf there was anything that Kairan should have learned from his experience with Emma, it was that nothing was going to keep her from a fight, particularly one where the odds were stacked against her.Drawing her sword from her scabbard, the Toa of Nucleons approached Kairan, a massive dragon, and a wall of fire. Activating her innate elemental powers, she fired off a high intensity helium laser at the wall. Though it probably wouldn't do any damage, it would at least make her presence known.-Void

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh didn't let that happen. The moment Aclaraung grabbed the hammer, Kinksh activated it to send forth a volley of energy bolts at point blank. The dragon beasts fire resistance was completely useless against it, and he would be forced to immediately let go. Kinksh swung the weapon at the dragons head again.The shield was surrounding Kinksh and moving with him, and fire can't be broken by bullets, since it's fire, and not a solid. So the bullets were still being melted.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC: TainTain cursed. He fired again, spotting an opening.

IC-Kal:"Alright, do you have any 6.8x43mm cartridges with protosteel slugs?" He asked, firing down at Rinnder instead of Kinksh this time.IC-Aclaraung:Clever. Aclaraung, however, was moreso. He jumped forward, headbutting Kinksh backwards and shoving him down the street, the Toa of Fire's hammer strike being thrown off by the sudden counterattack.

IC: "No," Mars replied. She did not look at Kal once.She was much too busy aiming at the most likely location a portal would bring Kinksh. That was to say, one from which he could attack the dragon without being attacked himself."Mine are too big for a KRA. Get a Gapaka and I might give ya some if I'm in a good mood."

IC-Kal:"I've never been a big fan of the Gapaka, actually," Kal said, continuing to fire down at Rinnder. "Too bulky for my tastes, and they're mainly a sniper weapon. My KRA-7, however, is suppressed, and functions equally as well as both an assault rifle and a DMR." He, also, never took his eye off of the reticle of his scope.

IC: Emma - New Metru NuiEmma grimaced. With that wall of flame controlled by Kinksh up, almost nothing would get through.Thus, the only logical solution was to bring the wall down. Still exhausted from her work in the hovercraft, Emma gasped for breath, before using her power to split apart the atoms in the fire molecules, slowly but surely breaking the wall down.-Void

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh had fought dragons before. Not this intelligent, no, but he had fought dragons with powers. Ones quite a lot bigger than the one before him now. He wasn't going to be so easily.Lunging was primal reaction, one that Kinksh was prepared for. Something a bit more passive would have been unexpected, but this was able to be anticipated. Anticipated, just as somebody bringing his wall down around him; he was aware of the minor disruptions, and continued feeding the flames, strengthening them even.And so, Kinksh raised his energy shield in defense against the dragon, the Hau like effect pushing against the dragon. Kinksh skidded back, but was not knocked down; the dragon was dazed. He willed his mask to switch back to his Kakama, and with a smile, took off quickly, dancing across the dragon far too fast for any sniper to keep track of him and making blow after blow at lightning quick intervals.IC: Blacklight / New Metru-NuiBlacklight continued echoing its call across the city.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan looked over at Emma with a frown."Be careful, you're probably still exhausted from earlier..." Kairan warned, but hoped to fire a lightning bolt through the hole in the fire shield once he saw the possibility of a hole in it.

IC: "To each their own," Mars said in reply. "I'm packing plenty of other stuff, so I can handle carrying a sniper-only weapon for this occasion. The KRA isn't powerful enough for my tastes."The wall was beginning to break. A window opened in it-she caught a glimpse of gold kanohi.Then the kanohi blitzed away. She stood up and packed away the weapon."I'll take it to melee," The 'matoran' tossed out. "See ya."Mars jumped off the roof. Grabbing onto the side of the building with her claws, she began to skid down.

IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung, however, wasn't dazed by the shield as Kinksh seemed to think. He had taken the time he pushed against Kinksh to start a slight mental contact, to the point that he could just anticipate some of the Toa of Fire's attacks. Aclaraung managed to contort himself out of the way of the hammer's strikes, barely, as he picked Song up in his mouth.Now, for the unexpected. Holding the Toa of Psionics gently, Aclaraung quickly ran, gaining speed before jumping and lifting himself up with his wings, back to where he could glide above the city as opposed to be trapped upon the ground.IC-Kal:"While that doesn't seem like a bad idea," Kal muttered, "I think I'm going to stay up here." He turned over to Kinksh, firing a few of his bullets, having used his mask of time dilation to slow things down and observe the patterns of the flames around the Toa of Fire, able to pick off when to fire and when not to if he wanted his bullets to run through.

IC: Kinksh / New Metru-NuiKinksh sighed as a few slagged bullets flew past him, as he watched the two escape. Switching masks, he opened a portal and appeared near where he had heard Rinnders laser blasts.Rinnder looked at Kinksh with confusion as the fire Toa grabbed him and opened a second portal, teleporting them both to safety before they could be targeted by any more surprises.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Aclaraung:Aclaraung landed atop the Citadel again, gently depositing Song as he noticed that Kinksh and Rinnder were gone again.IC-Kal:Kal watched as Kinksh and Rinnder disappeared, firing a few more shots through the portal at the pair as a last-attack. He then looked up from his weapon, a scowl on his face as he stowed his weapon on his back, and did the same as Mars to get down to the ground.
