IC: Zynethia, NMNZynethia rolled out of her bed, collapsing onto the floor, sheets and blankets half on her, and half-remaining on the bed. With a yawn, she stood up, stretching her reptilian frame, causing popping noises.Stumbling, Zynethia reached the tiny kitchen of her appartment, oblivious to the fact she was entirely out of food. Frowning, she continued to feel around the cupboards, her eyes half-closed with sleep.Yawning once more, she made her way towards the door, uncaring that she was dressed in form-fitting jeans and a T-shirt instead of her cloak. Opening the door, she made her way through the hall-way, and then out the door into the street.OOC: Open for interaction.
IC: Ezraftin / Testing Lab"Come on." Ezraftin said, moving away to the far end of the chamber. "We need to find our way out of here."He pulled out his compass and began waving it around. "We're facing towards the CKC right now. We need to make our way through this strange facility and to the original complex of the tower, somehow... try to find a door in here, there has to be a way out."-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC(Ylidaeo): New Metru-Nui Ylidaeo pushed the iron plate into place. This building needed the repairs and he was the only one available to do the job. He used his powers to meld the iron plate with the ones surrounding it. It wouldn't break for a long time after this. He wiped sweat from his mask. He wasn't the strongest and the material he worked with was often heavy. Not the best mix. "I guess I could take a break." he murmured to himself. He didn't like taking breaks, but he knew when he had to. He sat down and rested his back against the building.
IC: Zynethia, NMNZynethia moved through the crowds of New Metru-Nui, half-asleep as she searched for a market, a grocery, anywhere where she could buy edibles. Pausing, she yawned and stretched her arms, making herself look even taller than normal, so that she absolutely dwarfed near-by beings. One of those beings happened to be Ylidaeo, who's break was doubtlessly begin to interesting. After all, how often do you see a Zyglak? And a civilized Zyglak at that! And a civilized, female zyglak? A most rare experience.
IC(Ylidaeo): New Metru-Nui One of Ylidaeo's hobbies was to watch the citizens of New Metru-Nui. The diversity of the city was extreme. Matoran, Toa, Skakdi and...Zyglak. He watched one walk up the street. It was female, but didn't seem to be violent. That was strange. Zyglak are normally quite violent, but this one didn't appear to be.
IC: Zynethia, NMNZynethia, rubbing her eyes, blindly walked directly into a grumbling Toa, setting him off on a rant. As he screamed and roared his anger, shoved his finger in her face, and lost all rationality, the Zyglak stared at him, unblinking. As he continued, her eyes grew colder and colder, until it seemed that a Toa of Ice would be shocked. Finally, her patience gone, she lifted him bodily, ignoring his protests, and then placed him to the side, never sparing a glance in his direction as she continued on her path.
IC(Ylidaeo): NMN "I was wrong." he muttered, standing up. This Zyglak must have a silent temper. The ones that explode one day. He knocked on the iron sheet to make sure it was sound. Never hurt to double-check. He looked back at the Zyglak. "Hey! Come here!" he called and waved to her.
IC: Watcher (NMN):"Edubard, if you don't mind, I think I'll leave you now," The AI said, transferring himself back to the CHI mainframe, and refusing all his parts together again. He had stopped the transmissions, and now sat glumly, watching events unfold again. He had been watching everything unfold for so long, he wished he could be part of the action again. Instead, his 'face' appeared on a screen of a CHI console worker, who was supposed to be archiving data, but was instead playing a old game."This man here!" He announced over the intercoms, even making other monitor's screens change to arrows pointed at the employee, "Is playing Galaga!"Although he wanted back in on the action, Watcher decided it might not be all that bad, if he just got over the fact he had to sit back and watch for another thousand years.
IC: Amalia:Amalia had gasped a couple of times as Blade almost hit the walls, even tripping once. 'Keep you feet in sink with one another' she had said as he tripped. She couldn't tell what they were nearing, but hoped they wouldn't have to venture further.OOC: How is this going to end?
IC: Zynethia, NMNZynethia paused, turning slightly as she looked at the Toa waving at her. Suspicious, she walked over. "Yes?"
IC(Ylidaeo): "My name is Ylidaeo," he said, extending his robotic right hand, "and I saw that you appeared to be agitated with that Toa. I'll let you know this, bottling rage isn't good one's mind."
IC: Song and NPC MedicsAs Auress wandered the halls, she was suddenly pushed aside by a group of medics wheeling a bed. When they passed, Auress was given a brief look at the occupant of the bed.It was Song. Her eyes were closed, and she was hooked up to a variety of monioring machines, and other epuipment. The Toa was quite obviously not awake.
IC: Zynethia, NMNZynethia briefly shook the offered hand as she spoke. "Zynethia. And don't remind me. But what can you do?" She said, yawning slightly.
IC(Ylidaeo): NMN "Well, it looks like my observation was correct." he said bringing his hand back and into a pocket of his work clothes. "You obviously need someone to rant at. Seeing how I have 7 minutes until my next assignment, please, do began."
IC: Auress (NMN, The Citadel):Auress' eyes widened in surprise, and she followed along until the Medics and Song entered a room. The door was locked. Song quickly looked around, What should I do..? Song isn't awake, and she's hurt, and the only one who would know... Auress quickly rushed off, looking for the dragon, just like Song said.
IC-Kal:"Wait, since when do I have a reputation around this place?" Kal asked, confused, then shrugged. "And yes, I'm Kal. You can still try to throttle me if you want," the Toa of Plasma suggested, a smile on his face, "But I'm not sure you'd win in even a one-on-one fight."
-==IC: Blade==-"I'll try..." Blade said, attempting to do that, but accidentally stumbled, and deactivated his mask, as he tried to quickly slow down, so he wouldn't run into any of the walls.
IC: Rinnder / Citadel Hope HospitalRinnder, after approaching whilst putting his surgical mask over his face, patted Auress on her shoulder. "We'll take care of her." he said, in a very kind voice. "We promise." He then turned away, following the other medics into her emergency room.Perhaps this all needs to be clarified, for the sake of the unknowing reader asking why this is happening. When Song was brought in, one of its best doctors, Dr. Vigoratus, was called in from his break to be put on duty. Unfortunately, the well trained Toa was unavailable for unknown reasons. An inspection of his house within the hour would reveal his home completely empty and apparently untouched, though further search would reveal all of his fine jewelry, including a 20,000 widget watch, missing. His computer was completely wiped, and when CHI members finally restored it in hope of discovering what happened, they would find the symbol of the Golden Hammer Syndicate replacing the screen. As for the doctor? He was being held captive, along with a number of other missing persons, in a small, underground facility, in case money would be needed from a ransom collection at some point. Or as a threat, if worst came to worst. His brain implant, deactivated - to keep him to groggy to function properly, especially with his elemental powers, and second, to keep him from being tracked. Our concern is not with this individual, however. With Dr. Vigoratus missing, his close rival in that field, a Vortixx named Doctor Molior, would be called in to take care of the job for him, in trying to figure out what was wrong with Song. Molior would not be as lucky as Vigoratus, and was in fact dead - he was killed less than a minute after Rinnder was taken away be Kinksh by one of the many Golden Hammer operatives, as soon as he was called in and gave a 20 minute ETA.His time of arrival was only 15 minutes, and in those 15 minutes, Rinnder had easily has his armor repaired by a Toa with a Mask of Regeneration, and his body build was close enough to the health-nut Vortixx that he could pass with only those minor shifts - no need for even his illusion generator.. While he enjoyed his scars, they did no use; neither did his trench coats or energy shields. Kinksh helped him with quickened transport after the good doctor was taken care of, making everything much quicker. Now, with all of these occurring, Rinnder made use of a full personality profile of Molior - a very quiet man who almost never talked with his patients or staff, instead preferring to let them work, but often giving reports to the patients family, friends, or those close to them - and his skills at deception and forgery to easily make his way past the hospitals sign in and towards the emergency room. Everyone knew Song needed help ASAP, and nobody questioned his quicker than normal pace.Much like a real-life Doctor House, Molior had his own team. His job was to figure out what was wrong after watching the operation, and step in if something was going wrong. With luck, no operations would need to be had. Only one thing would go wrong - Song being killed. But Rinnder needed to wait a little bit longer for that. Kinksh would make sure the other half of the work was taken care of.IC: Kinksh / Secret BaseLogging In>>>> Network Relay Email Account <<<<USER - !a$#%er@relay.netPASS - **********SUBJECT - The Ace
Logging Out-Toa Levacius ZehvorDear Kal;I'm using this anonymous e-mail account for my own personal safety.I have reason to believe that a certain Ce-Matoran working on the nurses staff that is helping Song the Ace may be working for the notorious Golden Hammer Syndicate. She is the only one, or at least, the only one I know about.Within an hour, she will attempt to murdered Song by cutting the cords keeping her alive. Perhaps sooner, I don't know. As you are in charge of Homeland Security, I feel it best for you are the only authority who is out of the Syndicates reach of power. If you value your operatives life, you will need to act quickly.-Laserer
IC: The toa cleared his throat. His eyebrows unfurrowed within seconds."I...My profuse apologies, sir. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
IC-Kal:"Just like that? Great, I actually wanted a fight...the last one ended pretty short..." Kal then got the message, and read through it fast. His eyes narrowed."Mars, get to Song's operating room ASAP. Clear everybody out...After what just happened, I'm feeling a little paranoid. You, Ta-Toa, I've got a job for you-go with Mars, and help her keep everybody out of said room. Tain, go find a good Medic and bring him back to the operating room...and make sure you're watching him, whatever he does." Kal then opened the door to the citadel, ushering the three people in.He then quickly pulled out Lak, setting him to trace the message, while Kal messaged back.Logging In>>>> Network Relay Email Account <<<<USER - Kal_Unskii@relay.netPASS - **********SUBJECT - The Ace
All that said, Kal sent the message, giving Lak a better way to trace the destination. Done with that, he ran inside after Mars and the Toa of Fire.IC-Aclaraung:"Ah, Auress, how nice to...'see' you," Aclaraung rumbled, his infrared sense picking Auress coming out from the Citadel after Kal ran in."Judging from what I just saw," the Dragon growled, "Song's operation is about to have problems. She was hurt during the battle, lost control of her heart rate as well. Slipped into a coma. That's the short story of it...now get back in there and follow that Toa of Plasma! I can't keep a watch on Song right now, but you can. Go!""Song," Aclaraung growled at the Toa of Psionics mentally, "Wake up your mind, come back to me. I have reason to believe things are about to get ugly in there, and fast. Song!"Dear Laserer,I must thank you for this timely message. You may have just done me a great favor, in helping to preserve Song's life. However, I must ask you one thing. How exactly did you come by this information? Are you a hacker? Some close acquaintance of this specific Matoran? Or do you work for the Syndicate yourself?I have reason to believe that they're trying to kill Song, after the fight that just happened. I also know that the Golden Hammer Syndicate most likely has quite a few varied agents working for them, everywhere, and that they (or their leader/leaders) probably try to plan for every eventuality...which may include distracting me from something important.I don't know who you are, nor do I know who you work for. So I'm just going to assume that you're trying to work to distract me from something more important.Yes, I'm paranoid. But it's a useful trait.
IC: Mars burst into the operating room within half a minute. Claws unsheathed, she absently examined the group of medics before her. The stunned nurses and doctors looked back. There was a brief moment of silence. On one side stood the shocked doctors with scalpels and surgical masks; on the other, a clawed matoran leaning against a wall.Then:"CHI. Gee-Tee-Flip-O," Mars said. Between the claws famously unique to her and the statement, the medics got the message. They began to file out of the room in short order to leave Song's body. There was much tripping and stumbling in the initial dash for the door...None wanted to be left alone with the 'matoran' who had just ordered them to move.Several seconds later, the sound of armor on stone came from down the hall. It grew rapidly to culminate in an explosion of heavy breathing as the Ta-Toa entered. He looked up, panting through his mouth. A few beads of sweat trickled down his kanohi from the exertion."Per CHI order, please exit the room immedia-"The command died on his lips as he saw what Mars had done. The aforementioned agent shrugged. She thumbed to Song."Keep an eye on 'er. Yer late and I might get a little busy kicking butt for that sort of stuff, so you get the job."
IC: Kinksh / Secret BaseLak would find the task before it impossible; Kinksh was sending all of this through a Spherus Magnan computer with no identifying code, and the highly adaptable firewalls proved a strong enough defense that to get through it would mean the Hackers worshiping you as a physical god of software.
OOC: If we get the Mask of Life, we can get Mata-Nui to help her out.Dear KalAs cheesy as this sounds - you are right to be distrustful. If I were to tell you my name, or location, you would be forced to stop believing what I'm saying. I've murdered, stolen, and worse in the name of the Golden Hammer dozens of times. However, it is to Song I now owe my life; for she spared it after the syndicate betrayed it. I just hope by helping her, in any way I can, that I may repay my debts to her. She's a good Toa, and doesn't deserve to die in a hospital bed from a dishonorable assassin.-Laserer
IC: Zynethia, NMNGrinning slightly, Zynethia yawned slightly before speaking. "Ranting's... unsatisfactory." Pausing, she rubbed her eyes again. It was surprising she wasn't awake yet. "So, what's your next assignment-thingie?"IC(Ylidaeo): NMN"Well, it looks like my observation was correct." he said bringing his hand back and into a pocket of his work clothes. "You obviously need someone to rant at. Seeing how I have 7 minutes until my next assignment, please, do began."
IC-Kal:Kal rolled his eyes at the last message, kicking in the door to the O.R., then proceeding to walk in."So, I take it that Behkam here gets to watch Song while you and I kill anybody that tries to touch her without our permission, right?" He asked Mars, his lightsaber held in hand.
IC(Ylidaeo): NMN Ylidaeo shrugged. "If you want to contain it, don't get angry when you snap." he turned back to the building and knocked around it. Still secure. "I have more of these plates to put up around the city. Some for newer buildings, others for repairs on existing buildings." he replied, not turning back to Zynethia
IC: "More or less, yeah," Mars replied while assuming a defensive stance. Her claws were now held out before her chest and feet spread.
IC: Rinnder / Citadel Hope Hospital"Excuse me!" the fake Doctor Molior exclaimed as he approached Kal and Mars, a clipboard clutched tight to his chest. His voice sounded so radically different that he almost scared himself; however, years of experience at mimicry had left him able to easily ignore that, even if he was a bit rusty. And if he jumped a little bit, so what? Nobody was really concerned if you acted differently when Mars was around."I understand the CHI wants to defend this patient, but I can't have you tossing my medical staff out like this! It's an outrage! If you're going to turn this into a military lockdown, I have to ask you to leave."One of those said Matoran who was working with 'Molior' stood behind him, trying to remain as hidden as he could as he looked at Mars, visibly shivering with fright. His eyes kept darting to those claws. 'Molior', on the other hand, was instead staring at Kal, only giving a few glances in Mars' direction to be sure she didn't try anything rash.-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Kal:"I honestly don't care what you think, Molior," Kal growled, activating his weapon. The plasma hissed as it slid out into the air, the hiss toning down to a low hum."I recieved a message from somebody who claims to work with the Golden Hammer Syndicate, and after what just happened, I'm taking the paranoid approach and pulling my own staff in here. I am not going to let you touch this Toa, and if you try, you may quickly find your head rolling on the floor." Kal's eyes seemed to burn, an expression seldom taken on by him."Get. Out." He watched as the doctor didn't move at all."Now."
IC: Rinnder / Citadel Hope HospitalRinnder could have stood there all day; even without his weapon, he could probably have Kal disarmed and in a chokehold before either he or Mars had their weapons drawn. But now was not the time for that; now he was 'Molior' and after a good, long staredown, be backed away."She's going to die, and it will all be your fault!" he hissed, turning away and storming off. The Matoran behind him stared at Mars for another 10 seconds or so before hightailing it out of here, easily passing him by. "And I'll have the Guard kicking you out of here before then!"-Toa Levacius Zehvor ![]()
IC-Kal:"Not so!" Kal called at the retreating doctor, before turning to check the various monitors attached to Song. Everything was good except for the brain scan and the heart monitor, and he knew both of those were intrinsically linked."What I wouldn't give for a Toa of Lightning right now," Kal growled, stepping over to a rather advanced looking defribulator.."A genuine Toa of Lightning."
IC: HrunjaThere was a silence for a moment as Hrunja stood still, ignoring Ezraftin."That moronic data entity got something wrong," he growled. "My implant is in my hand! Not in my brain! I don't have one of those! I use a cellphone and one of those tablet PC thingy-magummies!"
-==IC: Kairan==-"What's your definition of 'Genuine'?" Kairan asked, having followed the medics to the building, wondering what was up with the battle earlier; unfortunately, he hadn't gotten any answers... yet. However, he had noticed Mars and Kal walk into the room, everyone run out, and then the doctor storm out, and decided to walk in, just in time to hear Kal's comment.
IC: TainTain walked in past Kairan, a small group of medics trailing behind. "The med staff you ordered, sir."
OOC: If this isn't the post I reply to, my apologies. I'm kinda confused with the multiple Watchers.IC: Watcher (NMN/Edubard):"Excuse me, a... Demon appeared over the city, a group of Toa and a Dragon defeated it. However, something much more dangerous has appeared. I'm reading reports of a Vortixx and a Toa of Fire engaging various members of the cities' defenses randomly. I received messages to declare them enemies of the state and send messages to deploy against them," The AI said, already sending the message across the CHI channels."One day," The AI said to himself, "I must figure out how to use this Makuta-spawned projector system!"
IC-Kal:"Let's just say you'll fit the bill, Kairan," Kal said, setting aside the defribulator as Tain and his small group of Medics came in afterwards."Alright, just so all of you know," he said to the medics, "If Song dies during this, I am going to launch a criminal investigation for it, and each and every one of you will be suspects. So if anybody works for some criminal syndicate, or is having any funny ideas, I'd recommend you don't act upon them." His eyes narrowed, glaring at the group before he turned away."Get to work, fix her up," he growled.
NPC: Tyrion (Citadel Hope Hospital, New Metru Nui)"Out of the way, out of the way!"Tyrion could be heard shouting out orders to different personnel and doctors."Tyrion, what happened?" Airu called out, walking past Kal's room."The Housing District is a bloody 'ellhole, general!" Tyrion yelled, his BIONICLE-equivalent-of-an-Australian-accent shaking with rage. "They've got snipers and teams at every building! We've got twelve KIA and another three MIA. I found 'im pinned in some rubble near Gael's old penthouse.""Injuries?""Sniper bullet to the back, flak jacket caught the worst of it. Whatever hit him, it was enough to distract him while the building collapsed. He had about five stairs on top of him: took Ryllia and I an hour to dig him out. His internal bleeding could be roughly compared to a bloody faucet..."-Teezy
IC-Hasil:Hasil had, somehow, made his way back over to Airu. "Sir," he said to the Toa. "I'm always ready to head out if I'm needed."IC-Kal:"...One moment," Kal said, stepping outside and quickly over to Tyrion and Airu."Do you mean to tell me Esao Mandala is down?" Kal growled. "If so, then this whole situation has just reached the 'FUBAR' level."
NPC: Tyrion (Citadel Hope Hospital, New Metru Nui)"Not just down!" Tyrion yelled; the Toa looked terrible, his eyes were sunken in, and one shoulder was matted heavily with blood. Kal quickly determined the cause: an in and out bullet wound, coated with, of all things, a Band-Aid. "Borderline cata-freaking-tonic. The buildings that weren't detonated have been overrun by Hackers!""Alright, alright, take it easy. Who's in charge of CHI?""I don't even know! Did Esao ever appoint a new Director of Field Ops?"-Teezy
IC-Kal:"No, he didn't. Looks like Cysero is in charge for now. Tyrion, you go find somebody to work on that shoulder wound. Airu, get any and all medics that are not now inside that room with Song, and whatever reserve fighters you can spare. I need a squad sent there to get our people out, now." Kal then turned to Hasil."You need to go grab Gust and tell him what happened, if he doesn't already know, then head back here for any orders Airu might give you. I'm going to stay here and keep an eye on Song, for now, but I'll be monitoring what happens from now on. I'll see if Tain might be able to move out, and make sure you grab Krayzikk with you." He looked at the three people by him, quickly turning to two as Hasil ran off to go get Gust."That an acceptable course of action?"
IC: Airu (Citadel Hope Hospital, New Metru Nui)"Wait wait wait. Wasn't Ryllia supposed to take over in case of Esao's injury or death?"Tyrion's eyes rolled back into his head."Well, then, we have another problem, don't we? Ryllia led a detachment into the Central Plaza to try and flank the Hackers at the Red Star Apartment complex. She's been out of touch for an hour at least."-Teezy
