  • IC: Yerith, Yu'rek, SolarisHe looked at Pordal's body, the pool of blood around him had stopped growing, and reached for a small, round, metal disk that had all of Pordal's vital information on it. Yerith clutched it, the fresh blood still dripping from the tags."All right," he said looking the doctor in the eyes. Then he turned to Yu'rek. "Saddle up, mate. We're going to attend Pordal's cremation, then we're gonna head out and kill the Brakas that did this."Yu'rek nodded, then patted Pordal on the shoulder."Goodbye, Captain," he mumbled, not daring to look into his closed eyes.Solaris (who had been doing a lot of running around) nodded at Kahua's words."Yeah, I didn't get any good shots," he replied. "But kill count doesn't matter to me. Sometimes, it's just the battle that excites me. And then counting kills. Huh, I guess kill counts do matter..."He kicked the dirt for a moment."So now what?"

  • IC: ArgentumArgentum magnetized Barricade's mouth shut. He'd spit onto himself, now. The Toa of Magnetism turned towards Turaga Vakama.Argentum: I don't know if you know me or not, but I've done some bad things in the past I prefer to not say. However, after consulting your brother, Turaga Whenua, I am now on the path towards redemption. Your brother advised me to follow what I think is right, and to try and gain forgiveness from the other Turaga......Argentum: Well, this guy was doing bad stuff, so I thought I'd help detain him.

  • OOC: Ok, ok.IC: Tahuva agreed with Kahua. "We have rid the island of the surface threat entirely...by removing their heads. Now to end the behind the scenes crime lord Vaarn. Klastio, are you still up for it?"Barricade fell silent. However he did realize why Argentum was less impressive than Tahuva in that fight. He showed mercy, something none of the official Xanthium would do for one of Zeltroth's troops.

  • IC:Vakama seemed to have barely noticed when Barricade spit on him. He wiped the saliva off of himself casually and returned his focus to Argentum."I do not know what you have done, brother, and so no animosity exists between us. If it is forgiveness alone that you seek, then it is yours. Do good for others, and it will have been earned. Leave in peace," the Turaga continued, and gestured with a slight grimace to Barricade, "And take this one with you. Perhaps you can impress a few manners on him by example."

  • IC: What?! Even Ta-Koro prison was better than being stuck with Argentum! Now he had no hope of escape! And what if that annoying green insect Dervian saw him? Or worse, Tahuva found out that a member of Zeltroth's faction was still living? He still couldn't speak, though.Still, after being rejected from defending the village, Tahuva did want to get to know the elder. (After all, their unpermitted defense of the village had saved it from extinction) He walked into Vakama's hut. He saw familiar faces. "Greetings, ARgentum. Thank you for your assistance--OH NO." He pulled out his sword. "BARRICADE!"

Argentum still held Barricade, and he ignored what Tahuva was doing. He turned back towards Vakama.Argentum: You have my thanks. And perhaps, this guy here could learn...something.He turned, leaving the hut, nodding at Tahuva in the process, still ignoring the fact that Tahuva wanted Barricade smashed into pieces. He knew Tahuva would follow, perhaps a bit angry, but Argentum didn't mind.

"Wait, didn't that guy get chased away by Matoran?""I thought we killed every one of them!" He suddenly realized that Tahuva had him way beat in kill count, and considered pulling out his Iron Sand.Dervian saw the look in Kahua's eyes. "Don't even think about it. One kill isn't gonna let you catch up."Kahua stopped. "Aw.""We still need an explanation. Why do you have Barricade?"

  • IC: In his mind, Tahuva's mouth was hanging open. However, as always, his physical face betrayed no emotion. "I suppose so. Are you confident you can re-capture him should he continue with his usual insanity?" Tahuva knew Argentum was confident he could do so, but the way he said it, unless Argentum was very dim he would know what he meant. To Ril, he said, "Yes, I killed a total of 22 people in my life." OOC: I know in the Ta-Koro Invasion it was stated he killed 18, but his entire life includes Grindorak and Fallen. (And he's not counting Rahi like Driller) And an unnamed 2.IC: Barricade began thinking up a plan. Hmm...first step, make an underground cave base. Second step, get team. Third step, assassinate Matau BEFORE invading, fourth step, invade. Darn it, I wish I had Senturon's Kualsi...OOC: Don't worry, this guy as I'm sure you all know is no threat without an actual leader. He'll probably never get the chance to go through with it. :P

He stepped back from the cart and lowered his head in respect.Yu'rek contemplated the death. It was all his fault, wasn't it? He had befriended then betrayed Mekrof, and it was him that Mekrof had latched his power on to. Pordal had died because of Yu'rek. But that wouldn't get in his way. Mekrof was going down one way or another.Yerith knew the turmoil that Yu'rek was going through. Reluctantly, he placed a comforting hand on his teammate's shoulder, and was surprised when Yu'rek returned the gesture. They raised their heads to witness the cremation.Yerith's grip tightened around Pordal's dog tags.

Tairel nods his head toward a group of Ta-Matoran as they placed the body on a wooden board and floated it out onto the river of lava. The board began to burn and melt then it reached the body. Just the Kanohi was left as it floated along the lava.Stepping back onto the cart, the Ta-Toa takes a seat and waits for the two beings to climb back on. Then, his brave Pakari stared up at him, its empty eye-holes still gazing at him with his commanding glare. He clutched the dog-tags ever tighter.Yu'rek further considered Mekrof's methods. He didn't realize what he was doing to the world. Taking innocent lives away from friends and family, robbing people of opportunities and experiences. And he would pay for every one of the 30,000 or so lives he had cost.Nik-Kolii landed his battle-Gukko near the group."I saw the cremation from the sky," he said, quietly. "I'm sorry about Pordal.""It's no one's fault but Mekrof's," Yerith said, glancing at everyone. Then specifically to Tairel, "There was nothing you could do to save Pordal. He was too far gone, and we all knew that. But thank you anyways. He's... in a better place, I suppose.""And if he's not, we make sure Mekrof joins him," Nik-Kolii added, cracking his armored knuckles.

Yu'rek asked."Well, we rule out where Mekrof went already, where we are, and where he hasn't been," Yerith said, calculating in his head. "That leaves us with Ko- and Ga-Koro. Ko is nearest, so we go to Ga.""What kind of reasoning is that?" Nik-Kolii asked, hopping on to the Gukko."It's simple unpredictability," Yerith said, helping Yu'rek on before mounting the bird himself.

  • "Because I told them to." Kalama said in response to Sisk's question. "They're under my orders to protect a rather important Matoran among them. Those orders I gave them came from Turaga Nokama herself. Normally they won't kill anybody if under my command but there was a rather nasty situation that forced me to stay behind and order them to leave. Since they're without their Commander, Trident Directive protocols state they must go rogue. When that happens they can do whatever they want, kill whoever they want, all in the name of completing their objective. In this case, protect that Matoran. Immoral, probably but whatever gets the job done."Kalama began examining the dirt around him looking for a trail. "The rules however state that if their Commander attempts to retake control by giving them a predetermined codephrase, they're to go back under Active status and obey orders again. This particular unit we're chasing happens to be mine. They'll kill you if you on sight if you were by yourself but since you're with me, they'll give me one shot at giving them the correct codephrase before they kill us both."He looked back at Sisk, "Shouldn't be a problem since I remember the phrase but until I say it and order them to stand down you and everyone else is in mortal danger. They'll even kill Vakama if he was wandering around out here without a second thought." He went back to the dirt."Hmmmph... blast it... no good." He looked up and started going around the perimeter checking the trees still standing.

Tairel spent the rest of the ride to the hospital thinking. He was confused on whether he should quit the business of being a doctor or continue on. If he stayed he could help many others, but the possibility of failing was too high. There would be no relaxing; just operation after operation at this rate. Ayra and him would never get to see each other either. But, if he left, where would he work? What would he do?The Ta-Toa sighed to himself as he reached the steps of the hospital. Whatever decision he made, it needed to be quick. He couldn't let Ga'mal's body simply sit there while he made a decision for himself. I guess this is it.Tairel walks up to Riaril's door and knocks one last time."Ma'am. I need to talk to you about...resingining."-Mef Man

  • IC:"Who are they guard-protecting that could be much-important enough that they would kill-slay a Turaga?" Sisk asked, very aghast. "That directive sounds like bad-danger." He didn't try to hide the fact that he was very troubled by this revelation. He'd heard tales of the Ga-Koro Marines and Kalama's name. Some stories of the force-recon were almost legends themselves. This was something different though and he wasn't sure he liked it. Concerned, he kept an eye on the forest in the opposite direction of Kalama. No need to leave their backs unprotected.

  • Kalama narrowed his gaze at Sisk. "I could tell you... but then I'd have to kill you..."He held this for a few seconds before bursting out laughing. "HAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry. Couldn't resist. You mentioned that you had news of Tamaru and Hafu. Well surprise, two of the others are alive and well. They were protecting Macku as an attempt was recently made on her life so Nokama directed us to protect her. Looks like news reached them despite rogue status and Macku was concerned about Kopeke so they nabbed him too. Likely Macku has talked them into gathering and safeguarding the other members of the Chroniclers Company. They're here so obviously they're going to secure Kapura. I'm going to try and intercept them and take back command before they succeed and go to ground."He spotted something that caught his attention. Part of a tree had a mark on it that was made by a hand brushing off the bark.Kalama paused next to the tree reading the ground and other trees in the area."Bingo. Got you Marine." Kalama said grinning as he found the trail. He turned back to Sisk. "Keep up! She'll be moving fast and watch for death traps from the other seven because they're not alone!" He armed himself with the shields from his back and took off down the trail the fleeing Ghekula had left.

  • IC:The Le_Matoran tensed at the sudden threat, but relaxed when the sturdy Onu-Matoran started laughing. He came from the light-hearted Le-Koro. And he had to admit, Kalama had a good sense of humor. "I knew they weren't dead-gone..." Sisk said, still a bit uncertain, following his companions movements with his eyes. Then Kalama focused his attention on a particular tree and he broke into a run.Sisk grinned. Moving groundside wasn't his preferred method of moving around, but charred or not. Navigating a forest was something he was made perfectly for. He grabbed his batons and rushed after Kalama. He quickly caught onto the trail as well. He may not have had the training the Marines had, but he'd spent a majority of this free time hunting and tracking Rahi through the jungle. Except the target was much smarter...and much more dangerous.

  • The mixed breed Matoran vaulted a large root showing signs that another Matoran had been this way. "Come on... come on..."He came to a screeching halt grabbing Sisk and pulling him to a stop throwing up one of his shields. Sisk felt the impact even as Kalama grunted blocking whatever it was that had caused him to stop.Lowing his arm the two were greeted by what appeared to be a large Matoran made spike trap. If Kalama hadn't stopped them both they would have been splattered against it as it would have sprang out from the blind in the tree and hit them as they ran into it.Kalama grinned. "Nice try girls! But credit for the trap!" He let go of Sisk and continued to follow the trail.
