OOC: Some people Flex, my dear fellow, understand the difference between a character and their writer. Tis a key skill for most RPers.
IC (Alecto)
"Buh-bye champ." Alecto's wings fluttered for a moment, a less disruptive substitute for laughing he'd worked out. "Looks like there was a spy in the bathroom. She been here before?"
"Sorry sir. But they would kill me if I told you." The waitress, still counting out her tip money, deadpanned.
"Right. Well, getting back to the topic at hand. I'm changing my bet. Five hundred on the one with the scary eyes."
Ic:
"Ashley I'll be honest with you. Most people, even if they are plants, don't eat other people," Kristen noted.
"That said, I've found smaller creatures to be much more tasty. Intelligent life tends to fight back waaay too much. Not really fun."
Ic:
"Yes but you didn't eat it all in one bite."
IC:
"Who the frick says so?"
-Tyler
Ic:
"Godzilla does. Rawr."
And with one final drink, she finished the bottle.
IC:
Godzilla has not been present. That threshold has not been reached.
IC
"Hate to change the topic, but has anyone ordered wings? I don't see any coming, and, well...
"You don't want to see me when I'm hungry."
IC:
Are you going to come over and say hi to everyone else or am I going to have to go over there
-Tyler
IC: Ashley Landes (Ultimate)
Ashley looked at Dallas, "That's offensive to Hindus everywhere."
IC:
"Yeah, well...so are your petals!"
-Tyler
IC: Ashley Landes (Ultimate)
Ashley plucked a petal off of her and rolled it up, then offered it to Dallas.
IC:
"I'll just, uh...keep...that. Discreetly. Cheers."
-Tyler
IC:
No.
IC:
You have one more text before I go over there
-Tyler
OOC: Ah sorry, I have a problem with that, its one I'm still trying to develop
IC:
"I drink real beer," Jonathan looked suddenly cross. "You've met me before right? I usually have a beer in my hand. But Cali isn't letting me drink; he's also trying to make me pay the bill according to his text, and I'm not even sure if I have any money." he sighed, though he thought he might have some stashed away somewhere on his person.
He turned back to Angela, "She's cute but I wouldn't ask her out. There was only one woman in my life, and there will only ever be one. I don't think I'm cut out for the whole dating thing, especially since my last girl turned into a vampire and then dipped without as much as a goodbye."
"I ate a whole... actually you don't want to know what I ate while I was a werewolf." Jonathan said. On that note he thought it was a good time to pull out a small metal flask he saved for special occasions and took a sip of moonshine he'd brewed by himself while in the woods. He offered it to Cali across the table.
"Want a sip?"
IC:
Ashlynn Summers. It was a name that carried a lot of baggage. A name that was associated with the Phoenix, with death, with tragedy and sometimes with a vampire. In this case the name referred to the Ultimate Ash who was indeed a vampire, and preferred to go by Red these days. Her second life as one of the undead hadn't been very smooth thus far, she thought she'd be able to control her hunger and live like a human, but she'd been wrong. Her days in Hollywood had been spent trying to act and failing, working as an RN at night, and cleaning up after her own messes and failings.
This is why she'd returned to New York, her flight landing in the city early in the evening since she could only travel by night. She'd made her way into the city before booking a hotel room. The reason she'd returned was simple: she wanted to find her Maker, Jace. She needed guidance and she needed help. So she was to go to the Hellfire mansion and take her chances.
She looked down as her phone vibrated. It was a text from a number she hadn't seen in a long time, and one that brought back many old fond memories of another life. She wanted to see them so much, all of them. But she hesitated, unsure how they would react to the nature that she was now different, a different species, almost a different person. There was also the fact that John was a werewolf now and that could possibly turn ugly, not to mention they had a complicated history, and she'd sort of left him without any warnings.
IC
"Cool it, bud, your issues are showing. We're pretending we're all normal, remember."
IC:
"I was never really good at pretending." he shrugged.
IC:
"Thanks, I didn't mean to try to make you into one, I won't ask for something like this again, just had a weird idea for some recreation, you know?" Kane said as his skateboard came to life and started rolling around on its own. "So we going to get pizza still or no?
Ic:
"If we're trying to be normal, question for you then Angela."
IC
"Shoot."
* * *
IC
Rene shrugged. "Why not, I guess. You coming, Shi?"
IC: Shiloh
Shiloh looked at the pizza still in her hand, thought about how tired she was, and how she'd rather hang out with Dominik.
"Uh..."
IC: Ashley Landes (Ultimate)
"Normal?" Ashley almost looked offended at the idea.
IC
"On second thought, you look tired, so maybe we'll make this a guys' thing. Cool? C'mon, buddy."
He started rolling away, hands tucked in his pockets.
Ic:
"You already know the question, just say the answer. Yeashhhh," she exclaimed, swiping the flask from John, sniffing its contents experimentally.
IC
"Yeah, but nobody else knows the question, and I'm not gonna repeat it. It's your question."
IC:
"This is what you did for a year...just brewed up rocket fuel and ate Thumper? Christ, your Twitter feed must have been a depressing read. Dear Internet: today a chipmunk asked me who I was. I said 'Fido.' My lie will haunt me forever."
When John offered Dallas a drink, Tali slid slightly closer to Dallas and put her arm around him.
-Tyler
Ic:
"Yo peeps who is in a movie mood. 'Cause I am. There has to be some theatre nearby playing something good."
IC: Ashley Landes (Ultimate)
"Last time I went into a movie theater I started to wilt."
IC
"That was not your question."
IC:
"I saw Gone Girl with Tali. She had to carry me out of the movie theatre crying after we saw Ben Affleck hang dong. We smashed in the backseat. Got some pizza. HeII of a date."
-Tyler
Ic:
After wondering if the moonshine was safe to drink, she decided to test it by spilling a single drop ontop of the table. The small amount of smoke and burning sounds coming from the tabletop convinced her to give the poison back to John.
"How would you know- Oh yea, forgot... Uh, forget you ever saw that?"
IC
"Gladly."
IC: Julia
Julia cast a glance at the bathroom door, trying to distract herself from the sinking feeling she got whenever Dallas mentioned Tali.
"So how are negotiations going with tall, dark, and good-with-a-sniper-rifle?"
IC:
Dallas turned to the bathroom casually and stood up on the booth, balancing delicately.
"She's coming out right this second, aren't you, Bekahboo? Pleaaaaase?"
-Tyler
Ic:
"I dont think she knows how to deal with robot arms. Think I could just drag her out?"
IC:
"Rebekah Fell will kick your , turn that arm into a backscratcher, and then polish off your freshly-kicked for you if you try to drag her. Nah. You gotta coax her. She's our friend. She'll come."
-Tyler
IC
"Hey, Bekah! I can see the future, and you come out eventually, so ya might as well come now while there's still food."
IC:
“I don’t think I have a twitter feed,” Johnathan chuckled. “In this universe anyway, and even if I did I’d just be reposting Jessica Alba.”
John watched his sister for a bit, the way she looked at Dallas was plain as day. The way Dallas bragged about his escapades was also plain as day, and so was his moonshine fizzling on the table.
“What the…” he blinked deciding maybe it wasn’t best to drink the stuff now.” The waitress dropped off Johnathan’s root beet he took a sip gingerly.
“Man I miss the good days. I mean we were facing impossible odds and all probably on a suicide mission but we kicked some serious *** and we got the job done. Cheers to that.” He said before he took another sip of his root beer.
IC:
Kane allowed his now superpowered longboard to carry him down the sidewalk away from the camp, next to Rene.
“Sorry to take you away from your sister like that, but I guess she’d like to spend time with Dom.” He said. This was pretty chill, just skating along without really even moving a mussel.
IC:
Ash had spent a little while alone in the hotel, standing on a balcony and overlooking the city. The wind ruffled her scarlet hair as she contemplated all that had happened. Her phone was still clutched in her hand, in fingers that had nails painted dark indigo. She let go of the rail finally making up her mind. She’d go check it out.
She was wearing a green dress, grey cardigan, and black leggings. She picked up a pair of sunglasses as she headed towards the door and placed them over her eyes, even though a vampire she could go out in the sun, she just didn’t really like it much and it tended to hurt her eyes.
She left the apartment before finding the car she’d rented in the carport and taking off down the street. She pulled up outside the address and got out before slowly approaching the diner.
When she drew closer she saw them. She stopped in her tracks and just stood there, watching them for a few moments, not really sure if she should be here, or what would happen. Finally she approached the table and said, “Hey.”
IC
You owe me one.
"Eh. I don't hang around my sister 24/7 anyway."
IC:
One moment, the Ultimates were trying to coax their observant comrade out from her chosen outpost.
The next moment she was already there, striding across the floor and interposing herself between the Ultimates and the lone approaching figure. For all the world, she could have looked like a perfectly normal person. With one exception: her eyes practically crackled with energy, a glow of red and violet reflected in the faint traces of the same circling around her hands. One knew, from a glance, that she was serious. Even the patrons in close proximity turned their attention from the bizarre occupants of the table to the two young women all but squaring off next to them.
Stopping a couple meters away, Rebekah planted herself in a stance that sent a single message; Not one step closer.
"Who are you?"
IC: Gabriel
"I am a walrus."
