  • IC: Dorian (Boat, Onu-Wahi)Dorian leaned back and watched Illicia move to the bow. He shrugged. She was the typical female bounty hunter: seductive, attractive, and no doubt ruthless, but at the same time, incredibly predictable. The Toa of Iron couldn't foresee any surprises from her.As he looked around, the same could be said for a lot of this group. With the exception of Grokk, Brykon, and perhaps Vossen, none of them looked to be the elites that Brykon had proclaimed them to be.He sighed softly, the noise sounding like a gust of wind floating through the ship.-Teezy

  • Ic: It was about 4AM when the fast boat came racing for the Onu-Wahi coast. The entire area was dark, and for most of the people on the boat, the shadow of the coastline was impossible to see. A soft ocean mist did not help, but Brykon's ever-lit cigar seemed to glow brighter still as if it were some sort of wand, the tip glowing like a small orange star in the fog. The moon was up, and it gave the entire scene a very eerie appearance, as if a monster were about to jump out of the water and seize the speedboat before it reached shore. The captain slowed his craft down, almost as if to give the monster an easier target. Brykon threw his stub out into the water. The boat shuddered as a noisy grinding sound could be heard scraping the hull, and then it was completely halted. Everyone lurched forward as it stopped unexpectedly. The fog was clear here, so the moon was illuminating the beach. Everything seemed to dark, with black sand surrounding basaltic jagged rocks that jutted out and stretched away into the land. "Everybody out. This is Onu-Wahi," Brykon barked as he jumped up and out of the boat, landing feet together on the sand. The coarse beach crunched under his feet as he marched up and sought another sitting place that would not injure his behind with edges. He soon found one in the light of the moon and sat himself down. He drew another cigar and began to light it.

He had his supplies. As Dorian said, this would go swimmingly.

  • [OOC: The following is a jam between myself and Emperor Whenua.]IC [Razik and Brykon]:Suddenly, Brykon could hear footsteps around a corner, coming from the landside."We are not alone," he whispered to himself, though Marfoir, the Vortixx with a sniper rifle, quickly hefted his weapon and aimed it in the direction of the footsteps. The gun's scope whined to life as he peered into the darkness to draw a bead. "Don't shoot!" a man could be heard calling out as he stepped into the light and revealed himself. In his hand, he carried a case. Behind him, another man stood. "I am an emissary," the man said as he came closer. Brykon got himself up and stepped forward to meet the two men, cooly inspecting them. "I see. And who's this you brought with you? Another one like you sent by Ambages? Or someone new for the team?" he asked impatiently. He expected there to be company, but the quickness of the meeting was curious to him. "I'm new to the team, sir," Razik -- the one standing behind the emissary -- answered in a deep, gravelly voice. "I have come to offer my services." He shifted his weight upon the cold, black sand beneath his feet. Brykon asked the liaison, "How much did you tell him?" "Enough, Colonel," the man replied. "Mmm," Brykon said, stroking his chin. "What are you good at, Razik? What do you know about my team?" "I'm good at getting a job done when you need it to be," he replied. "I have worked extensively in the military, acquiring a useful set of skills. I know you are an elite mercenary unit – the elite mercenary unit -- and I want in. My loyalty will be to here alone, as long as I get paid and the work is good." He shifted his weight again. "I will not disappoint." "Any skills?" Brykon pressed. "In the military I was at first a scout, able to easily track and move undetected. I was the top of my class in hand-to-hand combat as well as in accuracy for shooting. I was later tasked with leading a squad, and I know how to follow orders as well as give them to get the job done." Razik knew it was important to make sure to not sell himself short while at the same time not appear too cocky or full of himself. He had good skills, but he wasn't about to brag about them more than needed. All the while he spoke, he stared Brykon straight in his deep, piercing blue eyes, not lowering his gaze or faltering on his words, speaking clearly and directly. "You told him the rules?" Brykon asked the liaison, and he nodded. "Good. Final question: What do you know about me?" This time Razik took a second before replying, recalling everything he had heard. "I know you're not one to be messed with; I know you have the power and ability to destroy anyone who stands in your way or who disobeys you. You're a great warrior and an even better leader -- the best any mercenary force has ever had." Razik paused a beat. "I know you can also have a violent temper, if enraged properly," Razik continued. He knew this last part was risky to say, but he knew even more than that that it would be worse to seem like a suck-up with only praises. So he was honest. "There are 'legends' of your past and how you came to being, but the bottom line is: no one truly knows. This and your power make you someone that is easily feared, and you use that to better lead your crew. You will not hesitate to do anything to keep your men in line, but at the same time you are patient and able to remain level-headed, especially in the midst of battle." "You told him well," Brykon commended the liaison. "Welcome, Razik," he said between puffs of smoke. "Go meet with the others. I have other business to attend." Razik nodded, nothing more to say, and walked past Brykon toward the small vessel, approaching the other members of Bad Company. A smile creased upon his lips, knowing he was now part of the greatest mercenary unit -- a chance to fulfill his bloodlust.

As promised, the other two thirds will be given at mission's end.""Mmmm," Brykon murmured. "Good. Tell the handler that we'll be done by this time tomorrow. We'll meet again at our next meeting point. Understood?"The man was clearly put off; Brykon was not his commander, Ambages was, but he stifled his detest. "Sure thing, Colonel." He paused. "Oh, and one more thing. This is not to be considered intel by any means, but we have a hunch.""Go on.""Again, we don't know if this is true, but it's suspected that the group is led by a turaga with at least three men. We learned this after we placed spies in the village as workers seeking Taipu who asked many questions all over. I do not recommend using that info for a plan.""Good." The conversation was finished. He turned to the people bickering behind him. "Marfoir, you can go. Alone. One person may be an easily plucked twig, but the only thing worse is a branch with a tail. We'll be waiting for you near the Ashen Pass above Onu-Koro. Be there as soon as you can and tell us all that you can. Understood? Now go."

  • I.C. Kromast, Tradoris, and Vulcanon"Because it would end up all over the floor if it weren't. It's much easier to find your stuff if it is sorted by variety."Outside a large crash was heard."Vulcanon, We're trying to steal an ussal cart, not break through walls!""Uh, No it was the wall's fault. It got in my way.""Walls don't move. They're not alive. And you won't be either if we don't steal a cart!"Just then an ussal cart drove past. Vulcanon knocked it over with one swipe of his club, and picked it up over his head easily. The driver was furious but changed his mind when Tradoris pointed his sword at him."You stay out of this.""We should help him!" Kranuka over-confidently drew his sword and charged outside."Kranuka! There he goes again... Well, Fehron it appears fate has intervened." Kromast started for the door.

IC FehronFehron formed a sword, and then handcuffed Kranuka (So Kranuka doesn't rush in and get hurt). Then Fehron swung his sword, which started to elongate, snatching up the weapons of the two enemies. "You've got five seconds before these come right back at you."OOC: Here comes the new character, Fehron's old friend!IC BotanBotan figured that Onu-Wahi was the best place to look for Fehron. Knowing Fehron's personality, Ta-Wahi, Po-Wahi, and Onu-Wahi would be likely candidates. Botan didn't like hot, dry places, so he figured he would check here first. He heard some faint noise, some threats being made, and interestingly enough, the familiar sound of metal being formed via elemental powers. Could it be... Fehron? Botan sprinted down towards the source of the sounds.
I.C. Tradoris, Vulcannon, Kranuka, Kromast, (Onu Koro street, outside of Kromast's hut)Kranuka struggled in the handcuffs "Hey! what was that for?!"Kromast walked over to Kranuka. "Relax, buddy, he's doing it for your own good.""Yes! But he needs our help! A lone toa can't possibly fight two skakdi!""If Fehron needs help, he will release you. He cares about you enough to protect you."""*sigh* I guess you're right."Tradoris laughed at the iron toa's threat. "HA! I'd like to see you try!"Vulcanon grinned big. He loved to fight. Together, Tradoris and Vulcannon combined their elemental powers. Tradoris' Magnetism blasted the weapons out of the metal hold, and Vulcanon's fire was blasted at Fehron. Tradoris' active X-ray vision alerted him of the new arrival. "Vulcanon, heads up on the new arrival."
IC FehronReacting quickly, Fehron created a metal shield against the fire. As the lab of metal became red-hot, molten spikes began to fire from it.IC BotanBotan arrived to see Fehron alone defending 2 Matoran from a pair of Skakdi. The Magnetism Skakdi was about to strike Fehron, who had his hands full dealing with the Fire Skakdi! Botan quickly jumped in, growing an army of carnivorous Daikau plants around the Skakdi.

  • IC [Razik]: "Razik," he answered softly in his gravelly voice -- he spoke loud enough for Dorian to hear, but not louder, yet his voice had a strong, commanding timbre to it. He examined the average-sized Toa before him, quickly sizing him up and noticing the skinny armor and, most notably: the lack of weapons. So, he either creates his own or doesn't need them, Razik thought. If he created his own, then the gray armor would make sense -- a Toa of Iron, then, like the boss. He followed Dorian's gaze, seeing him look up and down at himself. "What do you think of the boss?" Razik said, nodding his head back toward Brykon.

  • IC [Razik]: "Indeed," Razik replied, concurring with Dorian's statements -- it was quite similar to what Razik himself thought, and was interested in seeing how someone agreed; he wondered if the other members of Bad Company respected him as much or if some simply feared him -- personally, Razik knew better. He was someone to be respected, certainly, but through his experience with drill sergeants in the army he knew that men like Brykon were more dangerous if they were feared. Razik said nothing more, simply looking at the other members of the team, feeling Dorian's gaze but not meeting it.

He glanced through the members, resizing them now that he knew a bit more.Dorian was someone to look out for. The second most worthy opponent next to Brykon. He was powerful. • OOC: well, when I end this post, I'd love someone to respond. I'm looking for some interaction so this character doesn't die... THANKS! :PIC: Draeverian JoskiirRivet scrapes against the ground, her sharpened tip dulling with each time she's impaled into the floor as a cane. Her objections are gone, only a support for her comrade remains, as if her life was less worthy than his own. He moves, feels the air with his swaying, broken broken, like a snake sensing its surroundings. Another swing with Rivet. The sounds refract outwards, but he no longer pays them attention. His mask is loose, hanging lopsided towards the right. Somewhere, rocks still settle. The lone warrior sways, his armor scratched, dented, and in a state of horrific decay. Each step comes in singular, groaning plummets, creating small piles of dust on each concussive collision with the powdery dirt. To a common eye, Draeverian is the walking dead: his left arm broken, cast, and still his elbow pokes curiously from his left arm's skin like a white worm. Draeverian's only thought is to live. To live beyond the pain. To live to hear tomorrow. He was not alive. He was half-dead. Draeverian fell more than walked his way towards the largest sounds, a group of ussals in the distance. Perhaps a market square? He knew not, but only help, help, HELP!, floated in his dimming mind. With a final lurge, Draeverian's feet missed a beat and he fell into the ground, the black soot of minerals rising about in a small plume of finality.
