Corpus Rahkshi

OOC: This is starting to sound a bit metagamey.

If Pyre has only just entered the library, there's no way he could have known what anyone had suggested. 

IC: Exxan/Xara - Library.

Exxan was somewhat surprised when it was Chekquars, of all people, who stepped forwards as the voice of reason. "No one ever suggested killing him," Exxan said pointedly, "except that idiot," he indicated Root, who no one had taken seriously anyway. "Maybe you should just go before you make a bigger fool of yourself." Pyre was getting on his nerves. Exxan had tried to stage a serious trial, and this Pyre had just barged in out of nowhere and tried to make a comedy out of it, pretending to be a lawyer and throwing around accusations about things he knew nothing about. 

"If my opinion is worth anything," Xara cut in, "I'll settle for Chekquars suggestion. But..." her expression turned sour, "...if he tries to set me on fire again, I'm not going to bother with a trial. It'll be an execution." With that, she stormed out of the room. 

OOC: Xara open for interaction. 

IC: Flash

Flash had just finished eating and left the Refectory, when she turned the corner and ran right into someone. "Opps, sorry."

OOC: That would be Revenge, Smudge

IC: Revenge-Hallway

"Oh, It's ok."

OOC: I did my reading before I started posting. But Pyre doesn't know this. So I see what you mean by metagamey. But others suggested killing him way before bringing him to the library. So Pyre does have the right to accuse you guys of coming up with violent solutions with the knowledge he has of the situation.

IC: Pyre 

"I stopped arguing. Why do you continue to annoy me. Trying to lighten up the situation doesn't make me a fool. I read about a Toa Lewa who tried to do the same. He made jokes in the middle of battle. So stop fighting. Because I did."

OOC: I'm pretty sure Pyre stopped arguing. And was it Lewa who did that? I forgot.

IC: Exxan - Library.

"That's it, I'm done here," Exxan decided snappily, getting to his feet. "Thank you Chekquars, for coming up with a reasonable, viable solution to this problem. As for you..." he turned to Pyre, "...maybe instead of reading fantasies about Toa you should instead look at reality. Toa are inferior to us. If they're so foolish as to make jokes in the middle of a battle, that might explain why. If you want to stoop to our enemies' level, go right on ahead, I won't stop you. Just don't waste my time and that of other students while you're at it." 

He started off towards the exit, hands clenched tightly into fists. 

IC: Pyre

Pyre said one last thing calmly to Exxan. "You do realize that I made a similar suggestion as Chekquars did but you were to busy arguing to notice?"

Pyre smirked. Obviously he hadn't listened.

Realized that I put my suggestion of confiscation in the Student Register. Welp. I changed it from "same" to "similar"

IC: Flash

"No, it's my fault," she said shaking her head. Flash paused, then extended her hand. "Name's Flash. Yours?"

IC: Revenge-Hallways

"Revenge." He turned to leave.  "Wait, were you one of the Rahkshi on the roof a while ago?"

IC: Exxan - Library.

"Chekquars wasn't the first to suggest that, and neither were you. But, for some reason..." he gave Chekquars a curious look, "...everyone chose to listen to Chekquars. Interesting." he stored that piece of information away for future reference. While things hadn't gone entirely to plan, he'd still learnt plenty of useful information on the other students. Pyre was an idealist who thought Toa made a good role model, Root had a very self-contradictory personality, and Chekquars seemed to have more pull with the students than he perhaps realised.

I"m proud of you. Not all of you, but most..." he said to the students in the room, as he paused halfway through the doorway, "...you showed me you can work together. That you can be responsible. That you can make decisions for yourselves. Well done." 

IC: Rider

Rider nodded at Exxan respectfully.

IC: Toxin/Library

He decided to read again.

IC: Punch/Counterpunch/Library ---> Gym

He left, and was bored of the proceedings that had taken place. He decided to do what Stronghold would do: train.

In their mind, Counterpunch began a discussion.

"They talked about the Toa."

"So what? Why do you care?"

"He got me thinking. If the Toa are inferior and foolish, it makes the Makuta just as useless, because in the stories you've read, they did get things done."

"Shut up. What if anyone here is a Mind Reading Rahkshi?"

"Your right. I'll talk later."

IC: Flash

"Yes," she said slowly. I say this rahk somewhere... was he... "Where you with the crab and the violin rahkshi?"

IC: Revenge-Hallway

"Yes! That was me.  But I must ask, who was that other Rahkshi, the one who played so beautifully."

IC: Flash

"Um... her name is Melody, though I don't know a lot about her. She's a bit shy, but I think she's slowly working over it."

IC: Chekquars (Library ->Causeway)

Well, at least the thing was over. With a nod towards Melody, the Darkness Rahkshi steered Torch towards her and then moved towards the door, pondering how Exxan seemed to speak to them almost as a teacher would, like they were below him yet it was his duty to help them out. 

That would be something to remember, Chekquars decided. 

As he left, he replied to Exxan once more before slipping into the shadows and moving away.

"Few groups work well without a defined leader. I just stepped up."

It wasn't until a few minutes later that Chekquars slid out of the darkness behind Whak, and with a smirk he tapped her on the shoulder. 

It had been far too long since one of his pranks, and things were getting far too serious. Perhaps that would be the next goal to work towards.

IC: Whakatio

Whakatio was on alert, and when Chekquars tapped her on the back, she swivelled round, drawing both her guns. "Karz, you scared me there. Did you find him?" Whak asked, putting both her guns away.

IC: Revenge-Hallway

"Oh, well i guess that is to bad for her."

IC: Exxan - Refectory.

Pondering Chekquars final words thoughtfully, Exxan began to realise that perhaps Phogen was right. Letting threats like him grow was more fun. There was no point to being one of the most powerful students in the school without having a few rivals here and there. 

He headed for the refectory; he needed to eat 

IC: Xara - Gym.

Xara, meanwhile, had made for the gym, her home away from home. drawing her swords, she advanced on the targets that formed up all around her, and went to work. Fighting was what she was good at, hurting, killing, maiming. She enjoyed it, not because she liked causing pain, but because she liked being the best. She strove every day to better than she was the day before. She never stopped, never backed down. 

Every day was a battle for her, and she would keep fighting until it killed her - or she won. 

IC: Era - Chirox Causeway. 

After a few wrong turns along the way, Era finally reached the Causeway, her motley crew of heroes and heroines gathered around her. "So... do we fly or do we walk?" she asked the others.  

​OOC: Xara and Exxan open for interaction in the gym and refectory.

IC: Abyssium

Abyssium followed Torch to Melody as the jury disbanded. "Torch, it is my duty to temporarily relieve you of any fire-starting tools. Once you have proved that you can handle them, I will be glad to return them to you. Would you be willing to cooperate?"

OOC:
Why does Exxan and everybody else ignore the fact that Abyssium was an outspoken member of this jury, and that it was his idea for a guard? It just seems like everybody else is focusing on everyone but him.

IC: Anubissium

"I vote we walk, just for the enjoyment of it."

IC: Rider

Rider approached Abyssium. "So am I allowed to be in the guard?" He asked.

IC: Bullseye and Stronghold/Causeway ---> Nynrah

"I don't know about you guys, but..." he proceeded to quickly parkour through the causeway.

Stronghold turned to the group.

"Forgive my brother, he's eager to hunt down the Visorak. It's a much better catch than Brakas, that's for sure.

IC: Abyssium

Abyssium whispered to Rider so Torch couldn't hear, "Yes, you will. I'll wait a short amount to see who else wants to be part of the guard, then draw up a schedule. Melody, if willing, will be with him at all times, in order to get to know him, learn about him, and find out if we can help his pyromania. I also will be trying to do the same thing, but I will have other things going on and so cannot be with him always. In short, yes."

IC: Rider

Rider nodded.

IC: Melody-Library

"I-I w-would b-be willing to s-stay with h-him, but n-not n-now.  I n-n-need to r-rest."

IC: Abyssium

"Alright. Come find me when you are ready, okay?"

IC: Era - Chirox Causeway.

"Okay, we walk, then." Era agreed. She preferred walking. It wasn't that she couldn't fly, it was just that it was easier to walk. 

IC: Flash

Flash just shrugged, willing to change the subject. "Done anything lately?"

IC: Revenge-Hallway

"Not really, I was about to head up to my room for some rest if you don't mind."

IC: Flash

"Not at all," she said stepping out of the way. "See you around I guess."

IC: Revenge-Hallways

"Ok," Revenge turned and walked towards the dorms.

IC: Melody-Library

Melody got up to leave saying, "I'll be back soon."

IC: Squid

Squid walked closer to Torch and turned to face the group.

"What's the final verdict? Let's hear all the options and we'll take a vote. You can vote more than once, and the option that has the most votes will be carried out."

IC: Revenge-Dorm

Revenge went up to his dorm and picked up his book.

IC: Melody-Causeway

Melody walked out to the Causeway and switched to flight mode.

IC: Tube - Entrance

Tube snapped awake at Whak's answer and just remembered to look around. There, behind him, stood his master. Tube stood suddenly with a brief salute.

"Nothing to report, master! Nothing could get past me!" But Tube's constant grin was fading a bit. He had failed his master. He had fallen asleep in an assignment given specifically for him. If anything happened as a result of his carelessness, Tube was ready for any punishment necessary.

OOC: "Nothing except an army of elves..." or... Le-Matoran, or... something.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

Hoto shrugged and sprinted off down the Causeway, leaping from pillar to pillar with ease. She grinned as she realized she had passed all the others, but that momentary lapse in concentration was enough to make her slip on the next jump. She quickly grasped at the top of the pillar and pulled herself up in a panic. She just sat there for a moment to calm her breathing.

IC: Fang - Infirmary

Just before Fang could finally get the rest he needed, this Rahkshi had to interrupt him. He wearily turned over to the blindingly bright Rahkshi. All those lightstones were hurting his eyes. He didn't have the energy for this. He simply responded "No."

IC: Root - Library

All of his efforts were for naught! The villain was escaping with the pathetic sentence of guard duty and taking away his toys! And what was worse, that beautiful maiden with the silken voice was his keeper! How could he tolerate such... such... oh, the injustice of it all was too much for words! Root wanted to fall to his knees and tear at the ground with great shouts to Mata Nui, pleading, begging to not let this happen!

But of course, he stood still in the same place as the others left, the memory of the damsel lingering where she had sat. Now, though, she would be thrown into the clutches of that madman, that scoundrel, that villain! She fit every requirement for the damsel in distress, and he was the one to relieve her of her captor! A hero cannot sit back and watch while such injustice is being served! He must take action for himself! He must find this "Torch" and bring him to his knees, begging for mercy, but none would be given.

He had not forgotten the devil's penchant for fire. As a Rahkshi of Plant Control, he could be particularly vulnerable to this type of attack. But the trial had achieved one thing: the villain was left defenseless...

... Could a hero strike down a defenseless enemy, even if they were the means of such cruelty? His mind was in conflict, so he would consult those he could always depend on: the heroes of old, their guidance and example recorded in the tomes filling the Library. A new quest took shape in his mind, and Root ran off to his favorite section of the Library to seek his council.

IC: Era - Chirox Causeway.

"Are you okay?" Era asked, making a careful jump - her echolocation telling her exactly how far she had to leap, and how far she'd fall if she missed - and landing beside Hoto, Zivon still clinging to her shoulder. 

IC: Deadeye

After an....interesting therapy session, Deadeye decided to go back to the library. He saw the vigilante from earlier entering a part of the library which was seperate from the others. Maybe I could rip some of his plants off....hmmm..I should have some fun first. Deadeye climbed up onto the shelves and leaped to other shelves, directly near Root. He leaped to a shelf close to Root but not too close. He was behind him and he gave an evil, insane laugh. He was constantly in the shadows, but allowing his eyes to glow a little bit using his powers.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

"Yeah... just... catching my breath," Hoto wheezed. "And... I may have slipped."

She pushed herself up on quivering legs and started off again, a little slower.

IC: Root - Library

By the Toa Cordak! That first evil laugh startled Root enough that he dropped the books he was carrying, but before they could even hit the ground, he had his staff ready. No one slips up behind him in his Library, and no one forces him to drop books! Root was not only angry, but he was indignant, ready to show whoever had startled him a piece of his mind.

"S-s-show y-y-yourself, c-c-coward!" He cried into the darkness. He was still shaking from the sudden surprise, but the moment that scoundrel shows, they're going to get a face full of plant.

IC: Deadeye

Deadeye cackled even more. He let his eyes glow a little brighter for the vigilante to see. "So...what are you doing there? You reading up on Toa? I wish I could kill a Toa. Preferably with his mask off so he has to endure the torture without any complications." Deadeye said.

IC: Revenge(Writing)

Dear Book

A lot happened today.  Most importantly I got flattened by Palma, the Rahkshi that runs the Infirmary.  I was causing trouble in the Infirmary and she got mad at me.  I decided to take a walk and calm down.

IC: Melody-The Cauldron

Melody flew quickly over to The Cauldron. she immediately dropped into the cave and looked for her tunnel.

IC: Era - Chirox Causeway.

"I think you should know better than most to be careful where you step," Era said cautiously, "you're the only friend I have who... you know... and I'd like you to stay that way. Not splattered all over the bottom of the Causeway." she tried to make it sound like a joke, but she couldn't keep the concern out of her voice.

She didn't want to be alone again...

IC: Hoto - Causeway

Hoto waved off her concern. "I'm fine, it was just a little slip! It happens all the time!" 

Why is she so worried? Era should know better than anyone else that you can't be perfect all the time!

IC: Root - Library

"Y-y-you can't k-k-kill a T-T-Toa! And y-y-you c-c-can't hide in d-d-darkness f-f-forever!"

Root reeled around to the glowing eyes, subtly searching around his carapace for the right plant. How dare this villain believe he was better than a Toa! That he could just watch them suffer! Toa were ten times as brave and powerful as a coward like this!
