IC: Exxan - Gym.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Despite taking a bladed staff to the back of the head, he still had the strength to roll over and keep shooting? This guy was too dumb to live. Exxan pushed at the air as he jumped back, blowing the already-wide Zamors far enough off course that they missed him. "Will you just give up already?" he snapped in frustration.
OOC: Exactly what kind of Zamors is this weapon packing? The shotgun isn't in Omega's profile.
OOC: Metal ammo, nothing special.
IC: Omega
"Hah. No." Omega said. He was out of ammo so he put his zamor launcher on his back and got up, throwing a punch at Exxan's face.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Omega's punch connected, causing Exxan to stumble backwards a few steps, but the knife did nothing, since Exxan had retrieved it using his powers several posts ago. (http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15652-corpus-rahkshi/?view=findpost&p=825785)
IC: Omega
Omega followed up with a kick headed for Exxan's solar plexus.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Exxan stepped back out of the kick's path, then lunged forwards as it passed him, swinging his staff at Omega's lower back.
IC: Omega
The staff scathed against his back and his anger grew even more. He swung his left axe at Exxan, aiming for his shoulder.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Swinging blindly at a target who was behind you wasn't a particularly accurate strategy. But Omega, infuriatingly, seemed to have luck on his side this time. The wildly-swung blade scored a narrow gash across Exxan's shoulder plate, scraping the armour but not penetrating it. Exxan pulled his staff free and backed off, panting hard. He was staring to grow weary, and if he was, Omega was too. With all of those injuries, he was surprised Omega hadn't collapsed already. A death by a thousand cuts was still a death, after all.
Holding his staff in the hand of his injured arm, he drew a trio of normal knives out of his supply with his other hand and flung them at Omega, pushing the air behind them to make them fly fast and true right at his enemy's chest.
Exxan was done with playing nice: it was time to end this. Omega was finally going to get what he deserved.
IC: Omega
He wasn't going to let this paranoid, obnoxious little win. He span round and let all the knives hit the armour again. This time however, all but one completely hit their mark, sinking in hard. He yelled and he span round again, running into a dropkick headed for Exxan's face. If this didn't work, he was .
IC: Exxan - Gym.
"Really?" Exxan said in disbelief, jumping backwards and upwards, switching to flight mode and swinging his staff at Omega's ugly face as he flew over him.
IC: Omega
Omega bent backwards and dodged the staff, whilst making a grab for Exxan's face at the same time.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Exxan gave Omega a baffled look as he continued flying past. What was the idiot trying to do now? He was bent over backwards dodging the staff. There was no way he was getting anywhere near Exxan's face from that position. He landed and drew on his powers as he spun to face Omega, yanking the knives out of his armour and back into Exxan's waiting hand.
Then he threw all three of them straight back at Omega's chest.
IC: Omega
They finally hit their mark. Omega fell over, trickling blood everywhere. He had failed. Again. There was only one thing he could do. Play dead...or unconcious, whichever.
IC; Exxan - Gym.
But Exxan wasn't done yet. He knew Omega would only come back in the future, perhaps with friends, to settle the score. He needed to end this, permanently. He focused his powers on the knives and pulled them back into his hand. Flicking the blood off, he put them back in his satchel. Then, he marched up to Omega, raised his staff high like a club, and swung them down at the magnetism Rahkshi's legs, intending to break them.
He didn't want Omega running away this time.
IC: Omega
"GARRGGHHHHHHGGHHHHGHHHHHGHHH!" His legs hurt so much. They felt like they were literally being ripped open. In reflex, Omega threw one of his axes at Exxan's face. He then went back to groaning in pain.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Exxan jerked back, feeling the axe tear a painful gash in his faceplate, dangerously close to his eye. Omega still had a little bit of fight left in him. That wouldn't do. Calmly, almost casually, he swung the staff down at the arm Omega had just thrown the axe with.
IC: Omega
No, both his legs were definitely broken. His arm screamed in pain. "GGGAARRRGGHHHHHHGHHHH!" He yelled in pain. He was going to get his revenge on Exxan for this. This was the final straw. His vision faltered. He coughed, spitting out blood. "I...didn't choose a side Exxan. I..I....didn't. Fang...is..my....friend....was...just...protecting.........him." Omega said, coughing.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
"This isn't about Fang," Exxan stood over Omega, ready to break his other arm if he had to. "This is about you, challenging me, despite what Phogen would want. This was it. Your last act of defiance. You won't be doing it again." He stepped around to stand in front of Omega, looking down at his battered face. "I want you to make a me a promise. Swear, on your life, that you will never challenge me again, in actions or in words. Using someone else to do your dirty work counts as well."
He lowered his voice to a menacing whisper. "If you refuse, or ever break that promise once it's made, I will kill you."
His tone was serious. Dead serious. He was giving no quarter now.
IC Mahrika
Nyrah Beach, Visorak Hunt
Fine. It was time to give up the notion of an organized, methodical search. Mahrika was glad Era was here, because she seemed like the only one capable of keeping Hoto from buzzing about unpredictably like her namesake. He was glad the others had chosen to go along the beach, since it made their search linear, and therefore far easier to organize.
Mahrika knew this area, so he paid little attention to his footing: a mistake. He stepped across a patch of crumbling, seaweed-covered black rock and abruptly fell to the ground. The impact hurt, but the pain was nothing compared to what he felt in his right foot, which felt like it was being crushed in the jaws of a Muaka.
He involuntarily uttered a high-pitched hiss as he twisted on the ground to see what had happened to his foot. There was a loop of silver cord snared tight around it.
IC: Omega
"Was...talking...about the level up." Omega said. "Oh....and by the way....no...." Omega said. He wasn't going to let this tell him what to do. "Kill...me...then." Omega coughed.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
"You brought this on yourself," Exxan sighed, raising the staff. He paused for a moment. Did he really want to do this: Become a killer? Slay one of his own kind? He had to, otherwise Omega would never stop. Phogen would probably let him live, if only to try to win him over once more, or else let him grow into a far greater threat that could be dealt with later.
But Exxan wasn't Phogen. I have to end this.
"I'm sorry..." he said, and he meant it. Despite everything, he didn't want to kill Omega. But he had to. He'd given Exxan no choice.
Taking a deep, shaky breath, he hacked downwards at Omega's head, to crush it and the Kraata sheltering within.
IC: Omega
"No......... you're not." Omega said, just before his head was beaten to a bloody pulp. By the end of it......there was no life in Omega's body. He had failed for the last time. And he had betrayed Phogen. He was the only reason Fang and Kat was beaten up. He was a failure. His level up was unjustified. And it was thankfully short-lived.
OOC: You lot can decide whether to leave him or not. He's gonna die if you leave him, which I imagine is music to most of your ears
So get him to Palma or he WILL die.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
Exxan sat back, shaking uncontrollably, staring at the pieces of Omega splattered on the end of his staff. "Y... you ga...ve me no ch... choice..." he stammered, barely able to breathe in. He'd really done it; he'd really killed another student.
It left him feeling hollow, empty inside. You had to do it, his subconscious urged, but he took no comfort in the words.
He tossed his weapon aside, and sat there beside the body, breathing slowly in and out. He didn't know what to do with himself now. He knew he needed to get up, find someone, tell someone, but his body refused to respond. So he sat there, silently holding vigil over the corpse, waiting for someone to arrive and decide his fate.
OOC: I think now would be a good time for Ultron post?
IC: Rider
Rider was trying to find Claws who was currently missing. He managed to track his sounds to the gym. He entered the gym when-OH KARZ. "WHAT THE FRAG HAVE YOU DONE?!" Rider asked Exxan angrily. Next to Claws and Exxan was the possibly dead body of the rahkshi from the session. Rider looked at the kraata desperately. "You need to get him to Palma. NOW." The Kraata's head was horribly mangled but the faceplate seems to have protected it a fair bit. He was a big kraata. If he was smaller he would have been a puddle of blood. Claws was licking the arm of the suit, whimpering.
IC: Exxan - Gym.
"No!" Exxan hissed, rising to his feet and snatching up his staff. "It's over."
IC Vir
Vir's Dormitory -> Gymnasium
(OOC: What time of day is it?)
Vir awoke from a half-sleep of blurry and confusing thoughts and images. They had been trying for a while now to get some rest, but with no success. It seemed it was pointless to try.
So what to do instead? Vir considered the books lying around the room, but the thought of sitting and reading was for some reason distasteful. No, something more active would be better. Some sparring practice, perhaps, to clear their thoughts.
Vir picked up their sword and walked the familiar route to the gymnasium. It was quiet, so Vir was very surprised to find it occupied. There were two Rahkshi: one orange and black, seated perhaps to rest from a strenuous fight, the other black and gold, on the ground and defeated by their striped counterpart. But something about the scene seemed wrong in a way Vir wasn't sure they understood--the bent angle of the Farahk's body, the hunched posture of the other Rahkshi, and especially the quietness and stillness...
"Hello?" Vir cautiously called out.
Edit: Rider'd. Let's say Vir and Claws arrived simultaneously.
IC: Rider
"No. You have to now. They'll tear you apart if you don't. Literally. He has friends."
OOC: Heh, funny thing is Rider is a ninja. Basically.
IC Vir
Vir's Dormitory -> Gymnasium
RE: Fang, Rider
Vir turned in alarm to the student who'd just entered the room with his crab. "What's going on? What happened?"
The Rahkshi on the ground... As Vir got a closer look, they saw the crushed faceplate, the antidermic fluids leaking from within it... and the violet symbol that marked it. In a flash of memory, Vir recalled their friendly duel with Omega soon after arriving, in this very room. What had happened to him?
IC: Rider
"You know what? it. I'll take him. If you want to be torn apart because you murdered a rahk fine. I'll make sure he's alright myself." Rider then took a hold of the legs and carefully began dragging the body to the infirmary.
IC: Squid
Squid silently arrived to the village, still scarred from the last assignment. Squid peacefully walked through, unaware that two of his friends had been locked in combat.
He made his way to a door, which looked like it went into a forge of some sorts. Squid knocked on the door.
IC: Anubissium
Anubissium was walking along the beach, looking into the jungle, when she heard Mahrika's hiss. She went into the jungle, trying to find him. "Mahrika!" she called, looking left and right.
IC: Hoto - Nynrah
Hoto was slowly getting ahead of the group again. Perhaps they were being even more cautious after her little stunt. It felt so... constricting to be stuck with a group like that. It's not like there was any need...
Mahrika cried out behind her, and Hoto immediately turned and ran back to the scene. But there were no Visorak, or any Rahi at all. He'd just tripped and was acting like it would kill him. By the Makuta, if she had to deal with this wimp for one moment longer... Unless there was something wrong. Something she couldn't "see." So she forced down her anger and asked in her sweetest voice, "What the Karz happened?"
Fang - Infirmary to Gym
Any thought of rest was at last driven from Fang's mind by the grating sound of metal on stone. He rolled over to see what warranted this disturbance of the Infirmary with a groan... but then he froze. Someone was dragging in a black and gold body. The faceplate was mangled beyond identification, but it was undoubtedly Omega. The eyes... his eyes were dim and blank, and there was no sign of breath. Fang jumped out of bed to the body's side, unable to move any further.
Omega did not deserve this. Of course, he had made enemies, but he was not the dumb brute they made him out to be. He did not deserve to be silently laying there, unable to stand for himself or his friends any longer. Fang wanted to scream or tear something apart, but his grief was silent. Rahkshi do not cry. He simply stared without saying a word at each wound, trying to avoid the sickening head. This was no accident. It was a crime of hatred, and that left only one Rahkshi.
Fang suddenly jumped up and stumbled to grasp Venom, then ran out the door. The trail of blood was easy to follow, but his aching muscles could not keep up, despite him willing his body on. He staggered and fell, only to push up once more, only to fall again. But at last, he met a door. The trail led straight to the Gym, and, inside the door, straight to the killer, still kneeling at its side.
He stopped and leaned against the doorway. Fang could hardly muster the words. His voice came out stumbling and broken through his panting. "I... don't ap-preciate... those that m-murder... my friends. I... do not... associate with... murderers. C-consider... all at-tempts... at peace... ended. You... dare approach me... again..., and I will... k-kill you."
He couldn't continue. Couldn't move. Even bracing against the doorframe, his knees were giving way. He had no choice but to wait for Exxan's response.
IC: Anubissium
Anubissium heard Hoto asking Mahrika what happened, and followed her voice and found Mahrika and Hoto. She saw the white cable around Mahrika's ankle and kneeled down to look at it. "Hoto, come here," she said. "There's some cable here, around his ankle."
IC: Hoto - Nynrah
Hoto kneeled down and reached a hand out to feel his ankle. There was... something tighly wrapped around it. It was even caving in the armor slightly.
Maybe he's not such a wimp after all.
"Where could this have come from," she asked, hoping to not get an immediate answer in the form of a Rahi or Hunter.
IC: Jayar / The Infirmary
"Visorak, on Nynrah? I suppose that makes sense," Jayar replied to Kat, as he pulled up a chair. He was wondering why exactly they had felt the need to seek them out.
Before he could say anything else, Omega's broken body was dragged in. Life was beginning to make it very clear that it was very dangerous here at Corpus Rahkshi. Jayar stared in shock at it for a moment before Fang leapt up, grabbed his sword, and rushed out the door.
Jayar followed Fang out, trailing him to the Gym, where he found him leaning against the doorway. His speech was stumbling, panting, but it held great fury, directed at Exxan. Jayar stood back, prepared to help Fang if anything... went wrong.
IC: Vlad / Hallways-->Nynrah
As Vlad stood in the hallway, a broken body was carried by. He looked at it with shock. That was probably the only appropriate reaction to such a terrible sight. Thus far at Corpus Rahkshi he had seen terrible injuries, to himself, his prey, and random others, but nothing this bad. And, as a complete misfit, Vlad had to fear he was next.
Probably it would be wise to get a good weapon after all.
"Come, Ivan. Now ve go to Nynrah," he said. He walked to the courtyard, trying to keep his calm, keep the image of the broken body out of his head. When he finally arrived he leapt into the air, cloak billowing, and took flight, headed for the mainland. Ivan followed close behind.
IC Vaalku
Vaalku wandered around in circles for a while until he was bored out of his mind. He decided to go to the gym, maybe watch some Rahk blow his top or something. He entered to see Omega being dragged away by rider, with Exxan standing nearby. He didn't need someone to tell him what happened now. He knew perfectly.
"You listen here Exxan." He said, his voice crackling like a Makuta "You keep this nonsense up and i'l make sure EVERY Rahk in the school reaches level four before you do!" He turned and walked away, his feet sparking and blackening the floor.
IC Catatonic:
Curious as to the noise, I started toward the Gym, a little after Fang. What I saw, I hope to never see again.
Omega was all but obliterated, his head plates cracked and mangled, legs broken, arm twisted at a cruel angle.
He wasn't moving.
And there stood Exxan.
Holding a bloodied staff.
"What did you do." I asked, my voice low, deadly.
IC Vaalku
Vaalku stopped and whirled around. "Exxan here believes in death and slaughter for his own sick twisted pleasure. I hope someone dumps him off a cliff." He said, his eyes sparking.
IC Kat:
I ignored the other Rahk, my eyes locked on Exxan.
Daring him to try and explain this away.
IC
"I saw the whole thing!"
Stretching out from his rubbery hiding place, Caoutchouc stands at full height.
"It was a fair battle, two of our level threes duking it out over issues, words and actions they both found unacceptable. The outcome was predictable, I'm sure Omega would've done the same."
This "Vaalku" Rahk was annoying as all karzahni, so Caoutchouc stepped to his face, "don't you ever shut up? You've got a coward's view of how live works."
IC Vaalku
Vaalku angrily headbutted the Rahk who dared walk up into his face. "This was supposed to be a spar, not a deathmatch!"
