  • IC: Fang - Gym

Fang didn't care for the remarks of the others. He knew exactly what happened. "I need... to hear it... from him."

His tall frame was blocking up the door, so he staggered forward and fell back against the wall to let them pass. Let them see the murderer and do what they like.

  • OOC: Av-Matoran: I specifically stated in the Torch post that he closed and locked the door behind him, so there was no way that he could have known that easily. Also, I'm not really sure why Nynrah would be the second place you would expect him to go, but oh well :P

    IC:(Torch/Nynrah)

The Fire Resistance rahk finally alighted on a cliff just to the south of a village known as Spirit-on-the-Rock.

Nynrah was a relatively big place, so Torch was pretty sure that he wouldn't be spotted. First, he headed into the village.

    IC: (Raith/Refectory)

Just as Chekquars and Tube were sitting down next to her, a rahk covered in what appeared to be plants ran up and garbled something only vaguely coherent.

"I don't really care, creature." she replied sweetly, before nodding at Chek and turning to her food.

  • IC Vir

    Gymnasium -> Washroom

When the Rahkshi had started filtering into the gymnasium, attempting to save Omega or confront Exxan, Vir had fled. Where they were going, they'd had no idea until they had gotten to the washroom, where they shut themself inside.

Now Vir stared at their reflection in the mirror, too terrified to think about what might happen to Omega. The sight of his ruined armor was burned into their mind, and they were sick with guilt for not trying to help him, and for being too cowardly to go and see his condition in the infirmary even now.

    IC Mahrika

    Nyrah Beach, Visorak Hunt

The snare cord wrapped around Mahrika's foot hurt like no pain he'd experienced before, but he braced himself against the rocky ground and pulled with all his strength, until the cord snapped and he was free. It was strong, but not strong enough to hold a Rahkshi.

He attempted to stand, and found that he was able to put enough weight on his hurt foot to walk normally, though running wasn't something he wanted to try. Then he reached down and pulled the cord out of the ground, discovering that it was attached to a rigged trapping mechanism.

"What in Tren Krom's name is this?" he asked no one in particular.

  • IC: Root - Refectory to Gym

Root jumped backwards at the cruel words. How rude; didn't this one know who he was?! Had he more time, he would have taught him a lesson, but as it were, he had to find his once-companion. Lives depended on it!

Now, the Library was not safe for a while, and the Dormitories and Refectory were clear. That left only the Gym! Root charged off gallantly towards the training ground of heroes, only to be stopped by a throng of concerned folk. Root pushed past them and searched for the Rahkshi of Density Control, completely ignoring the loser sitting on the ground in a pool of blood. Heroes don't lose, so this one was not worthy of his attention.

    IC: Hoto - Nynrah

Hoto watched as Mahrika pushed himself up. Perhaps she had misjudged him, or at least misjudged the injury. "Come on, it doesn't matter. A Visorak couldn't have set that trap... could they?" She knew Visorak were good tacticians and had webbing at their disposal. It would be simple to set a trap for any Rahkshi looking for them, but why bother? Why would they go to all the effort to set a trap like this on the shore for some Rahkshi that may or may not come by? It didn't make any sense.

Revenge got up from his bed and streched.  Time for another crazy day.

    IC: Melody-Secret cave

Melody sat up and rubbed her eyes.  She would have to get back to school soon, before her new charge burnt anything else.  She decided to play a song before she went out into the world.  Putting the flute to her lips she played a hopeful tune.  The sound carried through the vine curtain of the cave and out into the air.  Some passer-by may have heard it, but there was no way to know where it came from.

  • IC: Root - Gym to Dormitories

Alas! His quarry was not here either! Perhaps he was too late, and Deadeye had already worked his foul schemes! No one could be on Nynrah in a dire time such as this, but he could admit he had not thoroughly checked the Dormitories. By his word as a hero, he would knock on each and every door until his companion was safe! He pushed back through the crowd blocking the door, hearing something spoken of 'murder.' 'Twould be a matter for a later date, though he hoped 'twas not the murder of the one he searched to protect! If it were, he would be avenged!

Root dashed to the Dormitories with all the heroic vigor he could muster. He gave a smart tap to the first door, but it was opened by a Rahkshi of Sleep. "H-h-have you s-s-seen a R-R-Rahkshi of D-D-Density C-C-Control?" He stammered.

The Rahkshi shook their head and shoved him backward. "Get out of here, you plant-ridden freak! I'm trying to sleep!" The door slammed as his final words. Root stood up and brushed himself off indignantly. Why, if he wasn't on a quest...

The next room was vacant, as was the next, but Root would press on, courageously seeking his companion until he was found or someone dropped dead (preferably not him)!

OOC: He's searching for Revenge, if you missed that Smudge.

As Burst slowly stalked through the halls, he thought to himself about the hypothetical situations he and the other rahkshi had been given by Suvak. Some seemed simple, like dealing with the power scream rahkshi, while others seemed more difficult, like killing the Steltian. Perhaps some fighting would clear his head. Knowing him, it would most likely do the exact opposite, but he didn't care. His staff had remained bloodless for far too long. About two weeks, in fact. Probably a new record.

Burst began to walk to the Gymnasium.

    IC: (Torch/Nynrah)

    Oh, here he was.

Torch had finally reached the village, flamethrower slung over his back. He had gone through waterfalls, dense forest and grey rock fields to evade anyone following him, flying soundlessly to escape footprints, darting between from place to place to lose chasers.

And then, half an hour later, he was here.

Torch dropped to the ground, entering a small hut where a ghost lived and worked, stooping under the low ceiling.

  • IC: There were a great many things Palma could do. Her natural powers and affinities were bolstered by years of experience and practice. She could tell you exactly how the joints on Rahkshi armour worked. She could damage a Toa's mask in such a way to break its power without the Toa even noticing. She could point out exactly which points to strike that would paralyse the muscles of even the Shattered Folk of the Halved Isle and their formidable strength. But she was not a miracle worker. There were limits to what she could do. And when Omega was dragged into the infirmary, a pile of meat and metal almost indistinguishable from a Rahkshi, she had a feeling those limits would be tested.

She tried her best, of course. She pumped as much of her healing power into his hammered head as she thought she could without simply burning him up. She applied every scrap of knowledge she had, down to every last minute spent studying, to try and aim that power at the points that needed fixing the most urgently. She spent all the energy she could, pouring it all into her healing powers, swamping Omega with so much of the ethereal green energy that he almost vanished beneath it.

    But she had limits.

And whether there had simply been no hope of reviving him since before he was brought to her, or whether there just hadn't been enough life within him to cope with the procedure, after she had done all she could, Omega remained still and silent. His armour appeared perfect, every wound and scar cleared up by the medic's sheer will, but it was but a statute to his memory; a glimmering remnant wrought in steel of the student that had been Omega, the kraata within so much shadowstuff with no spark of life

He had no great sympathy or fondness for the vacuum rahk, but he had seen their fight. It was an unfortunate end but a respectable one, one of a warrior! This mob was just acting out of instinct and poor communication. Letting them through to Exxan would surely mean his death, he'd have to calm them down...

Deciding to take a slight detour, Burst pushed his way through the crowd, to see the lifeless Corpse of the rahkshi that had been part of Raptor's experiment a few weeks back. Such a shame. He could have been a good ally. Burst wondered if he should make a "Muaka Hugger" joke, but decided that if he did, his corpse would join Omega's in... Wherever they dump the corpses.

"He came to me..." Exxan said hoarsely, to the enraged crowd who had gathered around him the moment between blinks "...he sought me out, and challenged me. Are you people blind? You all knew it was going to come to this! Him or me." He let the staff clatter to the floor, and the gym floor formed a pillar for him to lean against to steady himself. "Cauotchouc says he saw it all, and those of you me know he and I aren't on good terms. What reason would he have to defend me except for the sake of the truth?" He was surprised that it was Caoutchouc, of all people, who had come to his defence.

"Omega..." he forced himself to say the name, "...attacked me, fought me, and I won, fair and square. I gave him a chance to live. I offered him to make him a deal. If he left me alone, if he never challenged me again, then I would let him leave with his life. He refused. He told me to kill him. If I had let him live, then he would have called me weak, for not keeping to my word. He would have gathered allies and come after me again. And again and again until he killed me. I had to end this. He gave me no choice."

He stood there, barely able to stand, waiting for the abuse to start. If one of them killed him here and now, he wouldn't blame them.

Having lost any pursuers, which in his paranoid state, Torch was sure he had had, Torch began to purchase the rest of the lighters from the Ghost, tiny and intricate devices, each a work of art. Shame it was the rest of his widgets, but it was worth it.

Stuffing them into his satchel, he made his way to some caves, where he intended to hide half the lighters, and then to another where he planned to hide his Old Trusty flamethrower...

    IC: (Snake/Infirmary--->Gym)

Finally healed, Snake got up, hands playing on a shortsword's hilt. Wherever that arsonist was, he would find him and kill him.

  • IC: Chekquars (Outside the school)

Once they all were seated, Chekquars once again pulled the small, metallic container from his cloak and set it on the largest rock, situated between the four of them. He had noticed Raith joining them, though he would be honest with himself in that he hadn't the slightest idea when, exactly, she had.

With one claw, the Darkness Rahkshi pried open the case. Bits of the decoration that had adored the cake stuck to the inside of the metal on all sides, but the little piece itself was somewhat untouched. Taking an arrow from his quiver, Chekquars slowly and carefully bisected it, then again, leaving 4 pieces of cake a bit larger than a bite. He selected one and took it, gesturing to the rest.

    "One each."

And he ate the cake. It was a food miles ahead of what the Refectory had ever served, even with the slight goopiness and hardening the piece had gone through over the last day or three. Truly something to be savored.

It was in that instant that Chekquars decided that he would need to get a personal chef once he had some empire or island of his own. Food- real food- was too good to pass up. Hm. Perhaps that would be the way to gain some control over the school..

The Darkness Rahkshi swallowed, grinned, and began to chuckle darkly to himself. It was brilliant, crazy, and totally unexpected. It would more than certainly be a way to profit. It was a plan.

Silencer would give the Matoran Legion as payment. He didn't want to give up the weapon, but the Matoran refused to take anything else. He handed the chain over and picked up the launchers on his way out.

He stopped in the exit, watching as the Matoran turned Legion over in his hands, trying to figure out how it worked. He wandered back over, holding out his hand in a silent offer to show him how it worked. The Matoran gave it over, and Silencer activated it, drawing all of the light in the room into the centre of the links, plunging the room into darkness. He lashed out his fist at where the Matoran had been standing, catching him right in the face, before switching of Legion and putting it away. The Matoran lay - unconscious, dead, he didn't care, on the ground in the middle of the workshop.

His business concluded, Silencer left the village and flew back towards Corpus Rahkshi.

He couldn't bear staying in that cursed room any longer. Slowly and painfully, he pushed himself to his feet on Venom. He fell back against the wall and pushed through the crowd, his eyes fixed in a blank stare straight ahead. He couldn't go back to the Infirmary. • IC Kat:

I spun on the upstart Rahkshi.

And spat, "and if it had been Omega, is have told him the same thing I've told HIM." I pointed at Exxan.

  • IC: Xara - Gym.

Having followed the trail of students from the infirmary , Xara soon reached the gym. She'd seen Omega's corpse in the gym, and now she wanted to find out who was responsible. Exxan, of all people. In a way, she was surprised that he'd had the guts to actually take a life. But in another way, she wasn't surprised at all. Omega had been after Exxan for ages now, that much was plain for everyone - even those without eyes - to see.

She heard Mar'jik's words, and agreed wholeheartedly. This was exactly what a fight was like. But then Fang spoke, and she just laughed. "Wild Rahkshi fight and kill each other all of the time!" she pointed out, striding forwards through the crowd, "Outside of a Makuta's control, they're little more than animals. As for this... take it from me, I know the nature of fighting better than most..." She was still limping slightly; Palma had healed the wound, but the poison lingered in her system. "...Mar'jik speaks true. Omega has been after Exxan for days now, ever since Exxan leveled up. It was always going to end like this: with one dead on the floor. The only choice to be had was whose body it was."

She turned to look at Exxan, but he hadn't moved. She stepped forward and prodded him; he toppled sideways away from the pillar and fell to the floor. The shock had finally gotten to him; he'd passed out.

"Well I've had some time to think, and I realize my mistake.  Next time you see him tell him I am in the Gym.  If he want's to fight I will fight, but I would like it if he would give me a chance to talk first."

  • OoC: coooop out. Laaaame.

    IC Kat:

I caught up with Fang outside.

He looked pale, and was visably shaking.

I sat hard in the dirt beside him.

    "I hate this place sometimes."

    IC Poly

I'd come to the gym to see one apparently several level there's laying dead on the floor. That shook me up.

~strange. why should he die? He was strong.~

What did any of this mean.

The others were arguing, and some stormed out. Regardless of who was right, one thing was clear.

    ~everything is going to change~

Toxin suggested the dorm to Abyssium. Also, the more torch runs, the harder on him Abyssium will eventually be. Food for thought.

  • IC: Zelnos

When Omega died, Zelnos immediately left the infirmary. When you see someone die, it leaves you mentally scared and Zelnos just wanted to be alone. He flew out to one of the pillars that made up the causeway and sat there.

OOC: Zelnos open for interaction if you want to hear the bad news...

  • IC: Fang - Courtyard

Fang heard Kat approach, but he didn't even look up. "I once watched... a Matoran funeral. She had been... killed in a raid... by those that... travelled with me. I felt... guilty that I... hadn't been there... to stop it. They said... Mata Nui would come... to take her away... and I watched... for hours... to see him. Then she just... vanished."

Finally, he looked up with a pained expression. "We could always... put him out here. Mata Nui... doesn't come... for monsters like us."
