IC: Khil'rayu (Ko-Koro)
I stalk off, looking for some valuables to disintegrate.
IC: Xaru'Ka
She followed. She didn't want to see another fellow Makuta worshipper murdered by Khil'Rayu.
IC: Veteran.
Stifling a yawn, the Ta-Skakdi headed into the outpost to get a drink.
IC: Celphrithia, Dravennica, and Shredder - Ko-Koro (Sanctum Steps)
After taking a moment to regain what remained of her energy, Dravennica looked back at Dayeth.
"What's the... matter? Shallows Cat got your... tongue?"
IC: Dayeth.
"No."
IC: Aelied nodded slowly, an inscrutable look in his eyes. "It is an honor to meet you, Korero. Who, or what, are you hunting?"
Cyrix raised an eyebrow. He had heard of the Toa Maru when he first arrived in Le-Koro, but never seen them. The island's protectors, by all accounts, inheritors of the Mata's power. Explained the vast difference in control, at least.
OOC: Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this.
IC (Korero)
"To put it simply, information," Korero replied. "The Legacy's hostages are the only obstacle keeping the five Akiri from launching a full-scale assault to retake Ko-Koro. But they're one Karzahni of an obstacle. If we attack now—if we even show the slightest presence in Ko-Koro—innocent people will die, and I can't allow that. But at the same time, I can't let the Legacy keep their grip on this city."
He tugged at the corner of his hood.
"Hence the disguise. I've been infiltrating since the day after the attack, staying out of sight when I can, and blending in when I can't. I've been gathering whatever information I can, wherever I can. And I think I'm closing in.
"But so are the Legacy. They've started sending Akaku-users out with every guard patrol, and the sentries are getting more suspicious. I think Echelon knows—or at least suspects—that I'm here, but he won't waste his deterrent unless he's sure he's got nothing to lose. But if they are sure that someone's infiltrated their city to try and free their hostages, they will kill them. So I have to be extremely careful. Speaking of which..."
His expression hardened into a frown, and he folded his arms once more.
"What do you people think you're playing at?"
IC Kotak:
He pulled crabs torso upright.
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
Ayar wound the bandages around Crab's body a few times, tying the ends off firmly to keep the dressing in place. "There we go," she said, wiping the blood off of her hands with a small piece of cloth.
IC: Crab
Crab began to wake up, his eyes opening a tiny smidge.
IC: Mortem - Ko-Koro
I find Khil'rayu and his accomplice further into the centre of the koro. The Cy-Skakdi wears an expression of an emotion I see mirrored in myself sometimes: rage of the Antidermis. "What happened?" I ask concisely.
IC: Cyrix shifted. He fired his crossbow without a bolt, testing the draw. "Playing? What do you mean? These two entered the city with disguises and under aliases. I infiltrated separately. We are in the process of setting up a front that I can use as a safehouse for reconnaissance excursions. What exactly is your problem with us?"
Aelied stayed silent, letting Cyrix speak.
IC: Arcturia
She wandered the snow-drifts of Ko-Wahi, heading north.
OOC: Open for interaction.
IC: Khil'rayu (Ko-Koro)
"A spy. Got in past the guards, a complete idiot, no clue of his location." In a fit of anger, I launch a burst of impact vision at a lamppost nearby, the force bending the metal pole far out of alignment. "He got away. And a certain someone-" I glare down the street towards Xaru'Ka- "who had a ranged weapon on hand, didn't bother to shoot him."
IC: Xaru'Ka
"I was smashed in the face Khil'Rayu. Besides his player was cheating I couldn't shoot him at that range anyway."
IC Kotak:
Waking again.
This... Crab was a hardy sort. He filed that information away for future use.
He looked to Ayar, "Now what?"
IC: Crab
Crab's eyes opened fully, and narrowed again at the sight of Kotak. He growled and tried to move, but the bonds of ice held firm. "Why couldn't you have just left me alone?" Crab asked, shaking his head.
IC Kotak:
He liked over the creature, with... Was it pity? It was hard to say.
His eyepiece adjusted once with a light mechanical buzz, and he was silent for a moment.
"You were injured."
IC: Crab
"But why did you have to try and save me? I hardly count as a person." Crab said miserably.
IC: Arcturia
She wandered the snow-drifts of Ko-Wahi, heading north.
OOC: Open for interaction.
OOC: Vyartha from Le-Wahi.
IC:
The bitter winds of the West freeze my joints and burn my lungs, but I endure.
I spot a traveller, adorned in black and grey, trekking in the same direction as me.
I advance my pace to walk beside them.
"Hello," I say. Nothing more.
-Void
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
"Now, why do you say that?" Ayar replied, throwing the piece of cloth into a sink to be washed at a later date.
IC: Crab
Crab said nothing. He just looked down on himself. He was disgusting. He was an almalgmation of disgusting rahi and species. He hated every inch of his existence. He sobbed, a single tear falling from his eye.
IC Kotak:
He stood impassively.
"Do you regret existence?"
IC: Crab
Crab nodded sadly, still sobbing.
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
Helplessly, Ayar turned to Kotak. "I'm no psychologist. But-" she moved a bit too refocus her eyes on Crab- "I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for someone to show you the good things about life. Plus, do you honestly want to leave the plane of existence without any mark left behind? Do you really?"
IC Kotak:
......
"Your appearance. How did it become like this?"
IC: Crab
"I was travelling....then black. I woke up like this. I was shunned out, and I stuck to travelling. Everyone threw rocks at me. They HATED me. But not as much as I hated myself."
IC Kotak:
"And yet you shun the first hint of kindness shown you?"
IC: Crab
"Because I don't deserve it. I deserve death."
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
"If anyone deserves death, it's me, for what I've done in my past. What have you done? All that's wrong with you- and some people might not even say that that's something which can be classified as a deformity- is your appearance. And whoever said you should judge a book by its cover?"
IC: Crab
"TRY TELLING THAT TO EVERYONE ELSE!" Crab snapped. "Even you, earlier called me a thing. Everyone in this god forsaken base hates me. Yet, through your double standards, you won't let me have my euthanasia."
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
"I called you a thing because you hadn't shown me anything to prove that you weren't a thing," I reply calmly. "And anyway, if you want to die, there's a whole lava river out there if you want to jump into it. Some of the older operatives have been wanting to throw someone in there for a while now."
IC: Crab
"Like I'm not aware." Crab snapped. "I'd jump in there any day of the week. But someone would have stopped me." Crab glared at the two Outsiders.
IC Kotak:
"I do not hate you. In fact, if you consider yourself hideous, consider this. Not three hours, I left Ko-Koro after killing a man for no other reason than that he'd started a fight."
He gazed evenly at him.
"Would any suspect it from my appearance?"
IC: Crab
"No." Crab said simply, staring at Kotak. "Why are you so obsessed with keeping me alive, Ko-Toa?"
IC Kotak:
"Because you are not a monster."
IC: Ayar (Obsidian)
Ayar began to walk back off to the courtyard, satisfied that her work was done. "You guys might want to be heading back to the arena soon," she said to Kotak and Crab in passing. "You'll be wanting to get your code names, no doubt."
IC: Crab
"Haha.....no thanks. If you let me out, I'm just going to make a run for the break."
IC: Arcturia
She warily watched the red-and-black Toa approach.
"Hello," she mumbled, keeping her distance.
OOC: Lenat from Po-wahi
Lenat- Ihu-koro
IC: It had been a rather nerve wracking trip to get to the small town. Traveling through what was almost enemy territory was not Lenat's idea of a good time. However, he was here now and it was time to get down to business. With a crunch of snow his wagon stopped at the entrance to the koro and he called out to the guards.
"Lenat of the Mata Nui Technology Emporium here to talk with the leader of Ihu-koro"
IC: Arcturia
IC:
"You are northward-bound as well, I see," I say, long legs striding, melting through snow. "To what parts do you venture?"
