IC: Abyssium
"I plan to find a small, out of the way village and offer our help in reconstructing, finding materials, or whatever else they need help with as recompense for our brethren trashing them and walking all over them. Hopefully, once that village warms up to us, word will begin to spread and make our task easier. It's not a foolproof plan, but it is simple and should work. What was your idea, Bullseye?"
IC: Burst
"How do you plan on communicating with them? They cannot understand our language, and even if they could, we still would have to convince them that we were actually trying to help, and not just get into the village and take their stuff."
IC: Melody-Refactory
"I d-don't kn-know which r-r-room is his. B-but if w-we g-g-go b-b-barging in h-he will b-be h-h-hostile. Last I h-heard he w-was at N-N-Nyrah buying s-s-something, b-but he must have r-r-returned b-by n-now."
IC: Rider
Rider crashed down, dropping his sword.
IC
"You have fallen down," with a quick dart of his stretchy arm, he grabbed the sword. "And you have been disarmed."
Caoutchouc made no further moves. "Thus, you are defeated. Please let me settle my matters with Vaalku undisturbed."
IC: Revenge-Hallway
"Hey! Leave Rider alone! What is this all about?"
IC
A black and green striped rahk approaches, asking what I'm doing. Isn't it obvious?
"I was going to have a conversation with a rahk named Vaalku. Rider attempted to stop me and I disarmed him. Now that he is beaten I am going to acquire his word not to interfere in my business with Vaalku. After that I will be helping him up and returning his sword."
I stare the newcomer down.
"Any issues with that?"
IC: Glass
As it turned out, Glass wouldn't be away for long.
"Um... Hi Xara!" He called out as he entered the building proper, Silencer curiously watching the kitten.
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
Xara looked up at the sound of the familiar voice. "Where've you been?" she asked, then frowned, noticing one of The Twins with him. The bulky one who liked smashing things with spiky flails. Then she noticed something else. "Is that a... kitten?"
IC: Revenge-Hallway
"Alright. But leave my friend alone after this"
IC Kat: I wanted her to come. I really did.
But it was just not safe.
Karz, we'd had three healthy, seeing Rahkshi, and we'd all but died.
Scratch that, one of us HAD died.
So I put my hand on her shoulder, "not this time. Go find Fang, okay? He'll likely know better than I what happened. He got there before I did."
I felt terrible telling her to go to safety. I also knew that there was a chance she'd come anyway, but...
I couldn't lose her. She was... Important to morale, I suppose.
IC Poly:
It took almost an hour, but eventually, the shelves were up again, and books back on the shelves.
Now, what to do with the unstable one...?
~funny, coming from you~
Oh, shut up, you.
OOC open for interaction.
OOC: Why are you reaching behind?IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik swung his axe at the sim. As soon as it hit, the axe seemed to, rather then slowing down, to speed up. Pushing with teh force, Mar'jik slammed it into the ground, before using his other hand to reach behind him.
IC: Pyre
The impact causes Pyre to flinch. Pyre then intensified his plasma coating and melted through the ground. He popped up under Mar'jik and attemped to fire 3 plasma darts at him.
OOC: Darts: 22
IC: Death, Pestilence, Famine, War
Looking in the library the only cooking book was aparrwntly partially burmed by some idiot.
And it turned out the page on making cakes was the most burnt page in the book.
Famine: Great. It's burnt. Well at least it shows the ingredients. Leta go see if anybody has ingredients.
They went to the refectoey and walked up to Melody. And held up the book.
Famine: "Do you know where I can find these ingredients?"
OOC: I beleive Mar'jik usually carries some other weapons besides his Chakram and Ax.
IC: Sensing Pyre's mind burrowing, Mar'jik danced to the side, smashing a Dagger SPider sim as he did it.
IC: Exxan - Library.
Exxan replaced the last of the books that Deadeye had knocked out of place and slumped back down into his chair.
IC: Jayar / Causeway
This time Jayar was prepared, and he returned Hoto's hug. Better than first bumps indeed. "Of course I'm here." he said, "I couldn't let Kat face the Matoran alone. I heard you were searching for Visorak? Was your search successful?"
IC: Era - Causeway.
"There were no Visorak," Era interjected, "Mahrika saw some Dagger Spiders and jumped to conclusions."
IC: Hoto - Causeway
Hoto made a face and searched around for Mahrika. "Turned out to be nothing more than Dagger Spiders. Mahrika just panicked, I guess. He dragged us all the way out there as slowly as he could manage for nothing."
At Kat's words, she pulled out and tried to untangle herself from Jayar. If Kat was taking this hard, Fang probably would be taking it harder. "Oh, you're right! I'd better go find Fang and make sure he's alright!"
As she started off back to the school, she grinned a little. As much as she wanted to be there for Kat, she didn't want to throw herself into another fight.
IC: Era - Gym.
"I guess I'll see you guys around, so to speak," Era said with a smile, and walked off towards the gym. Once she arrived, she drew her weapon and settled into a fighting stance, letting the gym form a group of targets around her. Zivon flew off her shoulder and landed on top of one of them, chirping happily. She made careful note of where he was, making sure not to hurt him as she spun her whip in a wide arc, the blade on the end slicing across several of the targets.
She remembered that skakdi poacher, the way he'd gurgled helplessly as his blood had spurted from his torn throat. She felt no pity for a sentient being who trapped animals for a living. Besides, he wasn't a Rahkshi. His life hadn't been important anyway.
IC Vaalku
"It's an arm device." Seeing the suspicious look on Fang's face, Vaalku specified. "I intend to take the risk and have the cylinder in my arm removed. But rather than have a gaping hole in my arm, I'd rather have this."
"It's a hinged container designed to hold teardrops." The look on Fang's face returned even more than before. "uhh, a certain type of throwing weapon. Shaped like a tear, sharp point on the opposite end, you know." Well, at least Vaalku HOPED he knew.
IC: Jayar / Causeway
"Let us go," said Jayar to Kat, his gaze lingering for a moment on the other group as they left, then returning to the path before him. "Time will not stand still for us, and much may conspire at Corpus in our absence if we delay." He turned and set off at a brisk pace down the Causeway.
IC: Sidonas - Beach
Sidonas' unconscious body lay there in the sand, his legs shattered, his torso, still bruised. He woke in sheer pain, trying to hold in a screech of pain. He knew he would only remain conscious for a few short minutes, so, despite his painful predicament, he began to crawl and pull himself to the figure far away. "I need to get to Silencer.
.." He groaned in pain, and only a few meters away, he fell unconscious, collapsing into the sand with a screech.
OOC: Someone help me, I don't want to die to early.
OOC: just.... Eject your Kraata? You are a Rahkshi, after all. You won't die cause you broke your suits legs.
IC Kat:
I watched the others run off to the school for a moment, then nodded and caught up with Jayar.
IC Catatonic:
"We go in quiet, and we're in and out in no more than five, clear?"
Covert missions were the most exciting.
IC: Abyssium
"Never said it was perfect. I'm still thinking that part through. Feel free to speak up if you have an idea."
IC: Jayar / Causeway
"Perfectly," he said.
Soon they were approaching the village. Jayar slowed to let Kat take the lead.
IC: Sidonas - Beach
Sidonas, slapping himself in the face, realized how stupid he was. In that moment, he ejected his Kraata and squirmed back to the Causeway. Great, my suit is crippled and I have to do this the hard way. This is what laziness rewards me with. Now I need to find someone to help me. He thought, and with that, he moved towards Silencer.
IC: PyreOOC: I beleive Mar'jik usually carries some other weapons besides his Chakram and Ax.
IC: Sensing Pyre's mind burrowing, Mar'jik danced to the side, smashing a Dagger SPider sim as he did it.
Pyre put his dual scythes together to make a staff. As long as his ememy doesn't get close he could keep hitting him out of reaxh from attacks.
IC: Pestilencce, Death, War, Famine
Death: We will try peaceful negotiations
War: No. No we won't.
Death: Ugh.
Famine: I am going to look for more cook book s in the library
Then the three of them wen't to search all the dorms.
IC: Bullseye/Infirmary
He nodded. Abyssium had a good idea.
"I thought something similar, myself. For the exclusive part, we should also have some sort of badge or symbol, and have only 1 or 2 rahks responsible for going to place orders and retrieving them. Perhaps that job could be given to the sneakier members.
IC: Squid
Squid took out his notebook and made eight signs, all identical.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Paint and Painters needed!
If you have paint, and know how to paint, I would like
to meet with you to acquire your services.
Meet me in the Refectory to talk about the terms.
I'm a short, silver Rahkshi with a backpack.
~Squid
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Squid posted them in easy to see locations around the school. One went outside the Infirmary entrance, another outside the Gym entrance. He hung two more in the dorms area, one outside the main school entrance, one outside the Library and another outside the Refectory. The eighth he kept with himself.
IC: Abyssium
"An excellent idea, Bullseye. A badge and password combination would ensure that only Denizens have instant trade contact. Sneaking into town is also an excellent idea." Abyssium stopped as he had a thought. "I wonder if there is a Rahkish/Matoran dictionary in the library? We could use it to slowly speak with them, and it would assist in the contacts learning the language."
IC: War, Death, pestilence
They continued searching for torch's dorm.
IC: Famine
Famine found the only unburnt cook book.
"Karz. It's in matoran. Hmmm. On the topic of matoran. I heard there are Nyrah ghosts nearby. Oh well. Famine took the only remaining matoran to Rahkshi dictionary (some idiot burnt the rest) and startedd to translate the entire cookbook.
"This book dosn't contaim all rahkshi words. Karz. Wonder if any of the ghosts could help me."
IC Mahrika
Chirox Causeway
Mahrika took flight and followed Kat. He wanted to see what she was doing on Nyrah, and if possible measure the Matoran's current mood towards the Rahkshi.
OOC: The Rahkshi language is written in Matoran, just pronounced differently.
IC: Fang - Courtyard
He had seen a lot of strange weapons since departing for the Academy, but nothing quite like the "teardrops." Fang looked at Vaalku curiously, then back down to the note. Yes, he could almost see how it could come together. At least the pieces seemed easy to make. He could manage this. And at the rate Vaalku was going, he was going to need all the protection he could get.
"I will do what I can," he promised. "If you brought the metal, I can start now."
Might as well keep Vaalku out of the way before he gets himself... killed.
IC: Hoto - Causeway to Infirmary
Hoto quickly made her way back inside and ran straight to the Infirmary. Bullseye had mentioned they had brought Omega there. She stopped at the door and observed each of the figures in the room to identify them. No, none of them had Fang's tall proportions... she stopped when she took another look at one of the beds. At first, she had assumed it was empty, or someone had piled something on it, but as she stepped closer, she could recognize the form of a bulky Rahkshi, though there was something... off about it. There was no... life in it, like it was empty, but she didn't quite know how she knew that. Maybe there was some soft "hum" of life, or small motions she hadn't noticed before. She stopped at the foot of the bed and just stared. "It's Omega, isn't it?" She asked no one in particular.
Thinking back on the name, she recalled he was the one Phogen had... she had called a "traitor." He had gone crazy after the second assignment, and she was glad to listen to his body being dragged away from her after the arrow. But after that... she had only met him with Fang. He had been lurking outside the door just before they left. He was in the Infirmary with Fang and Kat when they came back. He'd always seemed... decent. She wondered what he had done to deserve this.
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik had a longer reach with his axe. He charged, swinging his axe.
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik had a longer reach with his axe. He charged, swinging his axe.
IC: Pyre got hit by the axe but since his plasma coating was on the axe was dulled and the damage was reduced. He still had a bad cut though were the axe hit. Pyre then channeled his plasma coating onto his scythes leaving him more vulnerable but making his staff/ scythe blazing hot. Since Mar'jik was now in reach he tried to hit his faceplate with his scythe.
IC: Sidonas - Causeway
Sidonas, his suit now crippled, hopped along the Causeway and saw two Rahkshi fly past him, he then hopped along until he reached the threshold. As he walked past the infirmary on his way to his dorm, he saw a poster put up, something about paint? He didn't really pay too much attention. When he came to his dorm, the saw the door partially open. Did I leave that open? I hope no one has been in here... Sidonas hopped into his dorm, up onto his chair, and to his desk. He tugged at his bag, which had paints and a paint brush. He tugged at it and dragged his bag through the hallways. Onto the Refectory I guess. Hopefully there is a another mechanic there. With that he slithered off, tugging his pack with him.
IC: Melody-Hallways
Melody sighed and left the Refactory. Heading back to her room she found three of the Rahkshi from earlier as they were searching for Torch's room.
IC: Sidonas - Rectory
Sidonas pulled his bag alongside him, looking for the silver Rahk mentioned on the poster.
IC: Melody-Hallways
Melody sighed and left the Refactory. Heading back to her room she found three of the Rahkshi from earlier as they were searching for Torch's room.
OOC: Wasn't Melody at Torch's dorm long time ago?
IC: Death, War, Pestilence
Death: "Hello. Do you know anybody who would know where this pyromaniac's dorm is?"
IC: Melody-Hallways
"Oh I-I-I think I m-might k-k-know wh-where it is. I w-w-walked past a r-r-room and h-he was f-f-f-fighting s-s-someone in it. I c-c-can't r-remember exactly where it is though."
IC: Melody-Hallways

IC: Death, War, Pestilence
Death: "Can you take us to it?"
IC: Era - Gym.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Turn. Slash left. Then right.
Era whirled in a circle, her whip an extension of her body. The clanking links created much louder sound waves than she could project off her armour, allowing her to discern her surroundings more sharply. She twirled and danced between targets around her, slicing and slashing, leaving gaping gouges in their gravelly flesh. Blindness is not weakness, her mind told her, and it was right.
She was in her element, surrounded by sound and movement, carving a graceful swathe of destruction through the effigies all around her. She shut out the world and focused on her immediate situation, meeting every new challenge the gym through at her. The orientation of the floor shifted; she adjusted accordingly. Spikes grew from the ground; she stepped over and around them. The ground grew slippery with water; she climbed up onto a pile of destroyed targets, jumping from one to the other as they melted back into the floor.
Then she became aware of something new: a larger target, strangely shaped. She jumped off the rubble she was standing on and spun in the air, building the momentum to swing her whip with devastating force. It hit the misshapen target and...
...the sudden ringing of a bell took her completely by surprise. Her focus shattered and she crashed to the floor, the other obstacles dissolving into the ground before she even made impact. She sat there for a moment, stunned. The gym had made a giant bell and tricked her into hitting it! Then she laughed, getting to her feet. "Let's go again," she told the room, and the gym happily obliged. The bell vanished, and series of new targets sprang into existence all around her.
Era smiled: she loved a challenge.
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik had a longer reach with his axe. He charged, swinging his axe.
IC: Pyre got hit by the axe but since his plasma coating was on the axe was dulled and he was not hurt as much. Pyre then channeled his plasma coating onto his scythes leaving him more vulnerable but making his staff/ scythe blazing hot. Since Mar'jik was now in reach he attempted to spit acid on his faceplate.
IC Mar'jik:
Any resistance made by Pyre's weight or size was absorbed into Tarakava and used to power the strike further. Pyre was flung backwards, probably into the air.
IC Mar'jik:
Any resistance made by Pyre's weight or size was absorbed into Tarakava and used to power the strike further. Pyre was flung backwards, probably into the air.
OOC: What is Tarakava?
"Ow."
Now that Pyre was at a distance, he could keep Mar'jik away with his plasma darts. He fired 3 darts at Mar'jik. However due to the axe hit he was starting to move a bit slower due to the pain.
OOC: Darts 19
