IC: Deadeye
Deadeye shrugged. "To find out how effective a rahkshi I am. To see how well the treatment worked." Deadeye shivered.
OOC: Hoto's back with Kat and Dodge if you missed it.
IC: Root - Dormitories
What fortune smiled on our hero today, for none had noticed his silent departure! He made his way toward his room without incident and let the humid air wash over him once more. The vines hanging from the ceiling draped over his shoulders to give him a hero's welcome, and he sought his next arsenal. The light-blocking plant had helped, and he still worried of the fire his foe would bring, so those plants would be necessary. Poison had served him well, as had the tangling vines.
With his armor filled and coat restored to its former glory, Root lay back on his hammock and tugged at a weak little plant on the floor. Its small stems and sharp, hard tip was ideal for stitching wounds, but it had never survived long within his armor. He let it prick at his stab wound and his shoulder, boldly keeping his face mostly even through the event. When it was done, he allowed himself to sleep.
IC Kat:
Or at least, that had been my plan. Until Hoto caught back up with me.
I smiled, albeit wearily, "Hey, you. Looks like it works," I gestured to the now functioning leg on Dodge.
"Did you talk to Fang...?"
IC Poly:
Treatment.
"Something was wrong that needed treating. That is an experience we are familiar with. What was broken in you...?"
IC: Deadeye
"Isn't it obvious? My mind."
IC Poly:
his mind?
My mind was broken. OUR mind was broken.
put in a shell that spoke to us every moment of the day, twisting, breaking, shattering any barrier or blockade.
what did this one know of broken.
~he knows nothing. We are Legion.~
*for we are many*
A new voice.
~unwelcome~
*do not speak out of turn*
"You are not broken."
Our words came like a whisper.
"Tortured, twisted, changed, confined, crazed, mad, sick, even...... these things you could be."
~fear~
"We..... are broken. You..... are not."
Stepping back, we walked away, heading through the halls.
*we will be with you*
~you are an intruder~
Silence. Your noises hurt us.
OOC: Open for interaction.
IC: Dodge-256
"The leg is good," Dodge replied to Hoto.
IC: Stronghold/3rd Person/Halls ---> Causeway ---> Cauldron
After he heard everything, he left to the causeway.
He eventually got to the Cauldron.
IC: Flash
Flash's wondering had lead her to the Refectory. Grabbing some slop, she looked around for a spot before noticing Squid. She sat down next to him.
"Hi Squid, not hungry or just taking a break?"
IC: Hoto - Library
Hoto just caught Kat as she was leaving
"Yeah, for a little bit. He sounded worn out, and just told me to check on Exxan. Where are you going?"
IC Kat:
"Refectory. Haven't eaten since I went to Nynrah. The first time. By Makuta, I'm hungry."
IC: Hoto - Library
"Mind if I tag along? I'm starving!" She had been eating when Kat came in to tell her what happened on Nynrah, but it had been a long time for both of them. It would be nice to catch up a little too. Kat was always running off somewhere and she never really had a chance to talk.
IC Kat: I slowed down a little, "Sure, I could use some company."
Man, it seemed like a lifetime ago that I'd been able to just....sit down.
IC: Hoto - Hallways
Hoto waved back to Dodge as they left and tried to keep pace with Kat. She was walking slowly, and Hoto had to resist the urge to speed up.
Kat's probably exhausted after all of that.
"So... how was Nynrah? This time, I mean." She added with a grin. "Looks like it went better than last time. Any narrow escapes?"
IC: Squid
Squid looked up to see Flash, a Rahkshi he'd met before the Naming Day assignment.
"Oh, hello there Flash. I posted signs around the school requesting help from Rahkshi that have paint and know how to paint. I want to paint my dorm's walls blue and paint a silver squid on them, but I do not have the materials for the job. I could probably do it myself, but I don't know where to start. Also, the food here is disgusting."
IC: Glass
"I'm not sure."
We couldn't throw her back to the beach, too. She'd either starve or try to come back here, and the guards wouldn't be so nice to her.
"Maybe some sort of bed for her? We could start there."
IC Kat Hallway to Refectory
"Waaaay better. Only close call we had was with a sleepy matoran. Had to knock him out. Otherwise, it went just fine."
We stepped into the Refectory, and I grabbed a tray.
"Oh, and I nearly beat the karz out of Mahrika." I added, grinning sheepishly.
IC: Flash
"Paint? I would say check at Phantom but I heard they've been hostile to rahkshi since the assignment. Can't really blame him though..."
IC: Zelnos
Once Zelnos had made it back to campus, he headed straight to the library.
OOC: Zelnos open for interaction.
IC: Hoto - Refectory
Hoto grabbed her tray as well. "You should have," she stated bluntly. "After all of that nonsense with the Visorak, he deserved it. I didn't even realize he came with you guys." She grinned a little, trying to make it sound like a joke.
IC: Exxan - Hallway.
While his reasonings were a little... unorthodox, I appreciated what Caoutchouc was saying. "Thank you."
IC - Hallways
"Our eventual destination is the gym, have you eaten recently? Training on an empty stomach is futile."
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
"Sounds like a start," I agreed, finishing my work. Sand was nibbling on one of my fingers now, seemingly trying to pull it off, with little success. "But where in particular? Your room, mine? Somewhere else in the school?"
________________________________________________________________________________________________
IC: Exxan - Hallway.
"Not in a while, no." I admitted. With everything that had been going on, I'd barely had the time to eat.
IC: Glass
"Your pet, your room?"
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
"Sure," I grinned wickedly, "Just give me a few days to get rid of the bodies..."
IC - Hallways
"Well then, it's time to eat!"
With any luck, they'd find a suitable practice target in the Refectory. Behind the library and infirmary, it was the most fight-friendly area
IC: Exxan - Refectory.
A few minutes later we reached the infirmary. I was still kind of surprised Caoutchouc had actually agreed to help me, but I wasn't going to question it. I'd been riding high on a wave of good luck for ages now. It seemed my streak was continuing. "So... do you want the sloppy grey stuff with lumps, or the lumpy grey stuff with slop?" I asked the elasticity Rahkshi, making a rather dismal attempt to lighten the mood.

IC: Era - Library.
Even thought I couldn't read, the library was still one of my favourite rooms in the school. There were less people here, and it was usually a lot quieter. I even had my own special spot, a nest of sorts atop one of the larger bookshelves in one of the farthest corners of the room. The shelf was right in the corner, built into the wall, and filled with various stone tablets and crumbling scrolls The topmost shelf was devoid of anything, and there were some days where I'd fly or climb up there, sit back and just... listen.
Today felt like it needed to be one of those days. I ran my hands along the lower shelf, finding handholds and hauling myself up. It was a slow process, climbing blind, but once you'd climbed a surface a few times you started to remember where all of the good anchor points were. Within a minute I'd reached the top shelf, a dozen or so bio above the floor. I laid back, opening up my senses. Zivon hopped around on top of me, pecking at small bug that had crawled onto me.
I didn't mind. At least he was finding something to eat.
OOC: Era open for interaction in the library. The Twins open for interaction in the hallways.
IC: Stronghold/3rd Person/Cauldron ---> Causeway
Arriving at the Cauldron he found some oil to fill both his cestuses, and a used armor shell for his right shoulder. He was about to toss the makeshift shoulder plate before he thought of something. He used to normally throw away the kraata skin he used as he would regrow his skin anyways. But it was really painful to do so and thinking that he would get hurt a lot. Instead he would make a suit of skin armor once, so that he can reuse when he wanted to repair himself, and he would then update it when he leveled up. He began to find various objects, brooms, rocks, sacks, etc to make a life sized replica of him. It took an hour, but he made a statue that was accurate to his body size and shape. He put the right shoulder skin-plate on it and took it with him. He then pulled out some of the skin of his kraata's tail and folded it to make a portion of his hand. The process of creating the rest of his armor would be painful, and would require someone to peel the skin for him, as there was no way to peel off certain areas with deactivating the suit, but would be worth it in the end. He carried his statue and took it with him to the Causeway.
OOC: Skinning myself to make armor. Genius.
IC - Refectory
Caoutchouc answered by heaping both on his bowl-plate hybrid. He attacked the food like a rahk dying of food deprivation and a man experiencing religious apotheosis at once
"So, *chompbitechomp* Do you know any hand-to-hand tactics? Or do you only know *slurpchompmunch* how to work your fancy knife move"
IC: Exxan - Infirmary.
Balancing my tray carefully in one hand, I sat down across from him. "Well, I wasn't exactly prone to fighting before all of this happened, so I didn't put a lot of work into any combat techniques. Keeping my distance and avoiding a confrontation in the first place worked well for me. The knife thing was improvised, but once I got the hang of it, it went alright..." Apart from that one time I stabbed myself in the shoulder, "...but I'm not really in a position to do any of that in my current condition."
IC Vaalku
Vaalku got bored of the occurrences. He still needed to find someone skilled and friendly enough to take the Matoran device out of his arm and replace it with this container-
Wait. Wasn't that Kat?
Vaalku quickly followed Kat's voice. Since she was talking to someone, he would have to wait until she had- He entered the Refectory and altered his plan.
Exxan and that rubbery Rahk were sitting at the Table, and they would have definetly noticed him by now. He would have to make it look like a coincidence.
He grabbed a tray and got the first type of slop he came across.
IC - Refectory
As if the sonic and electromagnetic waves present in the room had the stretchiness of his own body, Caoutchouc noticed Vaalku from an impossible angle. "Even if things work you need to throw them away. Come up with new things. Fang used a bunch of old moves on me. He lost." His neck stretches and twists around to stare down Vaalku, surely Exxan would follow such a bizarre line of sight
"Hello, Vaalku. Come to bother us?"
OOC: Wow, that was weird.
IC Vaalku:
"No, actually." Said Vaalku, resisting the urge to punch the familiar face that arrived. "I was here to talk to Kat, but she's momentarily busy. So I'm biding my time."
He looked rather repulsed by the fact that a head could stretch that far. "What do you want?"
IC - Refectory
"Nothing much, just eating"
His head and neck resumed the position of anatomical normality. "So Exxan, after our food we'll head to the gym. I'm sure you know the most basic basics, so we'll work on some basic holds and stances"
IC Vaalku
Vaalku frowned a little, then took a seat in a good position to overhear Kat and that other Rahk. He poked a bit at his slop, he felt like eating food. And this was nowhere close to being it.
OOC: Ugh, 12:21 PM my time, and I gotta go to bed. won't be back for at least 16 hours, so hang with me!
IC: Deadeye
Deadeye followed the strange rahkshi. "HEY! WHERE YOU GOING?!"
IC: Glass
Considering that someone just died, a joke like that didn't seem to be in good taste.
"Er, yeah, go ahead," Glass said, thoughts suddenly on Omega's death. He wondered how to broach the topic to Xara.
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
"Oh... bad joke..." I realised my mistake the moment I tore my eyes away from Sand and spotted Omega's corpse still lying on a bed near the front of the room (when was somebody going to move it?) "Sorry about that... forget I said anything..." I didn't want Glass to think I was a horrible, heartless person, even though I often came across that way.
________________________________________________________________________________________________
IC: Exxan - Refectory.
"Sounds like a plan," I agreed, shuffling awkwardly. My pinned arm was starting to go numb, and it was getting uncomfortable. "Done," I shoved my tray away from me, having devoured the slop. I hadn't eaten in at least two days. "Let's go."
IC: Glass
"Gah! It's there!"
Glass walked slowly to the corpse.
"He's... Actually dead. I can see the wound I gave him that day, remember?"
Omega's armour was in pretty bad shape. His Kraata was obviously gone by now, but any moment now, Glass felt like the suit would stand up and start to hunt Glass down
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
"Yeah... he's dead..." I walk over to stand beside Glass, cradling Sand in my arms. She meowed softly, still trying to chew off one of my fingers. "...he had it coming." I'm not just brutal in combat, I'm also brutally honest. "Or do you think otherwise?" I asked him, curious.
IC: Glass
"I'm not sure. He... I guess he was always putting himself on purpose into dangerous situations, making enemies. I just don't know if it had to come to this. I don't know if he had it coming, but I'm not entirely surprised this happened."
IC: Xara - Infirmary.
I didn't push the topic further. "Let's get out of here," I suggested.
IC: Vlad / Courtyard-->Infirmary
With no luck locating Ivan in the Courtyard, Vlad wandered into the Infirmary and found Ivan hanging from the ceiling in the back of the room. Upon seeing Vlad apparently unhurt the Ice Bat flew to his companion, giving off happy squeaking noises. "Do not vorry about zat evil Rahkshi attacking you," said Vlad. "I forced him to promise never to do so." He conveniently left out the fact that he had fought Deadeye with help from at least three other Rahkshi and attained the oath only by threatening him with medicine.
Speaking of medicine... Vlad grabbed a syringe from a bunch of medical supplies. If Deadeye came after him again, this would surely make a more effective weapon than any sword.
OOC: Vlad open to interaction.
