  • OOC: Woot, BC is back in action http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.pngIC: IlliciaDully inspecting her fingers, Illicia leaned with her back to a hut and one knee up. Her right arm held her gun, which was resting on her shoulder. She had hoped that this Bad Company business would lead to something interesting, but it ended up being a wild goose chase through Onu-Koro. She had spotted a trio of black-armoured Vortixx carrying the corpse of Sentraken somewhere, which brought her a good mood, but the fact remained that her hunger had not been satisfied. At least, not yet.Brykon returned, and she stepped forward to signify that she was listening and mildly interested.

There was a band playing on a small stage in the restaurant part -- he could hear it from there --, so he walked in, grabbed a guitar off the lead singer, and walked back into the bar.

Not to mention, there was the obvious fact that amongst this shoddy group, he was still one of the best.He saluted Brykon lazily as he grouped in with the rest of the members."Pleasure to see you as always, boss."-Teezy

The Toa nodded, as though he understood what Nekron had said. The Toa of Magnetism then climbed up on to a table, and began playing the guitar."What is he doing?""I think he's playing the guitar.""He can play the guitar?""It seems so." Nikarra watched with some interest.

  • {In Character}{Amorian}{Onu Wahi Tunnel}Amorian sheathed his knives and began clearing away the dirt he had dug out. The tunnel he was making was now about 2X2. Grabbing his spear, he began to dig with it. After about a minute, he managed to break through into the tunnel Cysero had dug. With a precautionary 'get out of the way' he threw his spear through, and followed it with his crossbow. Thus freed, he squeezed through. He wasn't even breathing hard as he wiped the dirt off his mask, picked up his weapons, and asked."So what's happening these days?"

She nodded to the wrecked tunnel arround them, lightstones half buried and scattered all around from the fallen lanterns, settling dust and piles of debris.

  • IC: Hajia, Ga-Koro Hajia, between sobs of pain, managed to speak. "H-he...Isn't...Doing..." She started, gasping for breath with each word. Luncora stopped the magnetic fields. "Hmmm..." He said, drawing his great-sword, and placing it on her throat. "Most people would have started screaming names by now..." He growled, slowly moving the sword into the flesh. "So why don't you?"Hajia silently stared at him, defiant tears rolling down her cheeks. The blade was beginning to pierce the skin, but she seemingly held no love for her life. "How about I ask another question? What do you know about Wesnoth?" The question clearly surprised Hajia, who raised an eyebrow. "Nothing... He's a fight club owner. Vortixx. Dresses fancy." She replied, no hesitation. "Yes, yes, we know that." Luncora said impatiently, moving the blade away slightly. "But why did he plant this on you?" He asked, revealing a small, metal object, hollowed out, and with two holes in each side. "W-what?" Hajia asked, her eyes widening as she began to understand. "This makes a nigh-undetectable sound when moved through the air." Luncora explained. "We recieved an anyonmous message three days ago, telling us to send Raveian for an assassination misson. The five thousand widgets sent afterwards confirmed the deal. Still, we were curious. Who requested our services? One of our own get the imformation we needed. We watched him, and saw him in the act of contacting another criminal society. He admitted to his request, and even asked if we would do more." Luncora grinned evily after finishing, enjoying the look of shock on Hajia's face. "He... No..." She said quietly. "But he and Hound are friends..." Luncora stood up, a wicked smile on his face. "That's exactly wanted to hear. A connection."

  • Ic: Brykon scowled at Dorian. His irritation at the man he considered to be a frontrunner for lieutenant was recognizable, but to the other's surprise, he did not strike at Dorian in a rage. Instead, Brykon seemed to be thinking his actions through. Not that anyone could have blamed him: Dorian was known to be a lethal opponent rivaling the once-infamous Senegal. This was a fight that would have earned island-wide recognition if it was in a dueling ring. But if he didn't have to, Brykon wasn't going to throw the first punch. Brykon wasn't looking for a fight, he was looking to straighten Dorian out."Nice of you to drop back in," he said in a low tone ignoring the insult. "Not nice of you to drop out without my permission. Why did you come back?"

But all the skill in the world is no worth to me if you aren't able to restrain yourself to the rules you agreed to with what little honor you had left upon joining." He created a club of iron in his hand and held it firmly, though its low guard signaled that it was a precaution, not an instigation. He puffed his cigar and exhaled deeply. • Ic: The scene was set. Brykon felt no dishonour in throwing a punch now; Dorian had already thrown the first by assuming a proper fighting posture, and conflict was already chosen as the solution. There was no point in holding back for the sake of dignity or courtesy. Those were not elements Brykon was known for, anyway, or at least the latter. Even in the fight against the blind DJ he did not hold back, but the comparison was inexact. While previously Brykon had starred in fights to satisfy audience expectations against opponents rather than enemies, now the fight was a matter of principle against someone who was more enemy than mere foe. But on a greater level, it was a question of leadership and skill. If Brykon won, it signaled superiority to Dorian and would spark a beacon of order and regulation in the group in addition to keeping the other criminals and assassins under loyal control to Ambages. If Dorian won, it meant the loyalty would falter and the team's leadership would fragment, and with it the purpose of the team in the first place. Brykon had no doubt the rest would be killed off as soon as the handler found out of the fall through of power, but the damage would already be done. Dorian had to fail this test.On the left, we have Dorian, Mark Bearer extraordinaire and sexy manbeast! His tongue is as sharp as his swords and his fists bite like sharks! But can he outfox the Bard!? The sides were drawn, and to Brykon's estimation and knowledge, it was nearly equal, too. Dorian had nine years of experience and training, athletic talents and a Mark. Brykon had nearly a century of fighting experience, the patience of a bear and the power to boot, but the kicker was his strategies. Dorian would wait for Brykon to be close and then fight hard, but Brykon could use Dorian's blows against him and his patience would nullify the Mark.On the right, we have our returning champion, Senegal Brykon, borne of the foam of the sea with the power of the earth's waves at his service, formed from the stardust that made Mata Nui himself. He shares the genes of gods and the sweat of heroes. Can he keep his claim to the throne?Predicted outcome: Uncertain...Elegantly, swiftly and powerfully, Brykon hefted his power into a swing with the club, aiming to strike solidly at Dorian's waist and crush him then and there. The stroke bore immense strength, some of it Brykon's own, the rest owed to inertia. Even a glancing blow would send Dorian reeling. Even so, the footwork of Brykon suggested that he was preparing for a follow-up attack even before he completed his first strike.Let the games begin!

  • IC: Dorian (Onu-Wahi)It had been five years since the Mark Bearer's last fight with the Brutal Bard; they had met in a Le-Koro fighting ring during the middle of a particularly gory Battle Royale. They had disliked each other on sight, having fought themselves to a standstill after hours of shed blood and sweat. The next night, the two had teamed up to butcher nineteen other opponents. The trophy remained polished on Dorian's shelf in Ko-Wahi.Of course, those were different times. He and Brykon were fighting for something more than recognition: this was a contest of two alpha males, dueling for control of the Bad Company. And they both knew it.Dorian flicked out two gauntlets he had created on his journey from the school to Utu's safehouse; two large war clubs of his own shot out from the improvised barrels of the gauntlets, landing in his hands smoothly. He strengthened the layer of iron around the club in his left hand and blocked Brykon's strike with a powerful swing of his own; the other sang through the air as it, along with Dorian's free hand, swung toward Brykon's knee.-Teezy

  • Ic: Brykon's preparations proved useful. The two iron bars sang as they hit, but the vibrations that coursed through them did not loosen the grips of either the men on their weapons. The instant there was contact, Brykon activated his follow up card. He jumped, using his Calix to boost the leap, sending him flipping over Dorian. The club followed after its wielder, still filled with the inertia imbued in it as Brykon aimed to decapitate Dorian with it. He swiped and aimed to land behind Dorian, again preparing for his next move.

  • IC: Dorian (Onu-Wahi)Dorian, however, was ready for that; as Brykon leaped over him, Dorian ducked expertly, his spine curving into an almost-perfect L-shape. The club went soaring over him, and immediately, Dorian did a spin on his heels, turning 180 degrees and facing the Bard once again. His clubs went into formation again, waiting for the next attack. He's keeping me on the defensive; he knows he has the strength advantage. Time to strip it from him...-Teezy

  • Ic: Brykon landed and spun once again, taking full advantage of his ongoing motion and increasing leverage as well as the open space afforded to deliver one crushing blow after another. The strength was deceiving, though: In reality, Brykon was not using too much of his power in the attacks. They were cornering blows, doggedly slicing one angle from Dorian after another, pushing him backwards and keeping him on the defensive, but simultaneously using inertia and follow through to reduce the expended energy. In essence, it would seem contrary to nature: The offender keeping the blows up to exhaust the defender. That wasn't to say the attacks were not lethal in their own right. Just one meaningful impact could very well decimate Dorian's fortitude, but they were not the real teeth in Brykon's attacks. The next move was just as graceful as the previous two, his one club held in one hand as he collided with the other two, but just as the weapons met Brykon took advantage of the millisecond. Dorian's reflexes were fast, enhanced by his own Calix, but he doubted they were fast enough to alter movements from deflecting one powerful blow to two. Brykon's other hand was weighed down as a second club emerged in his grip, quickly following the first to crush Dorian's unprepared defense.Surpriiiiise!

  • IC: Dorian (Onu-Wahi)Dorian cursed mentally and swung up his arm; the club crushed the right gauntlet, sending shards of wood down his sleeve, but before it could make contact with legitimate flesh and bone, the Mark Bearer had already jerked one club upwards, knocking Brykon's first club off balance. While the Bard was distracted, Dorian blocked Brykon's sneak attack with one club and swung for the temple with another.-Teezy

  • Ic: Position: Torso contorted, inertia forward, swings charged. Status: Right club, knocked away; second club, connected. Dominant foot backward, left foot forward. Weapon incoming, aimed at head, ducking maneuver necessary. Tactic: Duck under swipe and use foot position to counter twist, rise behind Dorian facing the same way. Use Dorian's movements against him: Mirror him from behind, lock weapons under his arms and stretch them out to the sides. Deliver knee kick to small of back followed by headbutt to back of head, press body against his and shove him to the side. Use clubs to give passing knocks to his vulnerable elbows.Effects: Surprise attack will bewilder opponent, weapon locks will rob him of inertia. Blow to spine will deliver pain up central nervous cluster, possibly dislocate spine. Back of head knock will induce mild concussion, probably loss of mask. Knocking aside will cause him to lose balance and sense of direction, and elbow knocks will release his grips on weapons. Result: Dazed and disarmed opponent with pain and possible loss of power. Reconstitution of enemy tactics needed.Time for attack sequence: Three and a half seconds. Brykon spun, ducking under Dorian's attack as the weapon narrowly missed his quickly diving head. Just as the weapon soared above him be arose, but behind Dorian. He was looking squarely at his foe's back and shoved his weapons under the Mark bearer's arms, putting all his strength in the move to brace Dorian from motion. The inertia Dorian commanded died right there, robbed from right under him. Brykon raised his knee and delivered a brutal slap to the base of Dorian's back, and he could see the armor stress from the buckling blow, ripples of the effect flowing out like in a still pond, and he followed it with a cut to the back of Dorian's head with his forehead. He didn't wait for the result of that, instead releasing the efforts in the arms to usher the force in his body as he shoved Dorian to the left with his powerful chest. He dropped his weapons and touched Dorian's elbows, and just as he expected the twin clubs in Dorian's hands were loosened. Brykon slid away as Dorian was sent on a collision path with the ground.Outcome: Success. Enemy down.

  • IC: Dorian (Onu-Wahi)Dorian suffered from a split-second blackout as he flew forward; regaining his senses just in time, the Mark Bearer caught himself in a handstand, flipping around and landing square on his feet.Hand to hand time. Yippee.Smirking a bit, he snapped forward: Brykon had the tactical advantage, possessing an uncanny ability to always stay at least three steps ahead, but Dorian had speed. As long as he could make those three moves before Brykon had a chance to make his one, they would be on even ground.Move one: blow to the armpit pressure point. Hit with the fingertips for maximum penetration factor. Result: Dead arm for several seconds, momentary distraction; just enough time for move two.As Brykon lifted his arm for another ferocious swing, Dorian coated his middle three fingers in a layer of iron to increase thickness and power. The Toa of Iron slammed his fingertips into the area just below the Bard's armpit. Brykon's arm flopped around uselessly, numbed by the sudden attack.Move two: Slap to the temple. Prolong unconsciousness. Result: He'll be dazed and confused for several seconds, long enough for me to land one last hit. With a heavy thud, Dorian's palm made contact with Brykon's temple, sending him spinning backwards. Dorian advanced quickly as the other Toa struggled to regain his balance.Move three: upwards palm to the nose. If performed correctly, Brykon will go backwards and shards from his nose will break off into his head. Unconsciousness within seconds, recovery within months. If he's lucky.Dorian ducked underneath the Colonel's half-baked swing and slammed his bare palm upwards towards the nose.-Teezy
