OOC:
trying to grab and pull the mace out of Silencer's hands.
Seems to imply that he was grabbing the business end, since you've been calling the spiky bit a mace this whole time.

IC: Illusive - Gym.
I could see him channeling his powers through Serpent-Fang, but since Lerahk poison only effects the thing in psychical contact with the Rahkshi, and Serpent-Fang wasn't a Lerahk staff, he couldn't channel his powers through it to poison the net. Which meant I had no problem with grabbing onto the net and yanking on it, trying to wrench Serpent-Fang out of his grip as I did so.

IC: Silencer - Gym.
I wasn't entirely sure how he thought he could even try to tie a thick protosteel chain around a pole when someone else was pulling on it, but somehow he'd managed to pull it off. But speaking of pulling... I gave the chain a yank, and the spikes of the flail's head cracked through the rocky pole and came flying back towards me.
The moment before he rammed my pole, I jumped down of my own accord, and just in time. It cracked where he hit it and the upper portion began to fall towards him. I pulled on the chain and sent the flail swinging right on a collision course with my opponent's ribs.

IC: Xara - Dorm.
"And how do you propose we do that?" I asked, as Sand came back over to me, meowing forlornly.
OOC: Then how does Poly channel his power into a rhotuka?
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
Toxin threw the net off of Serpent-Fang and onto Illusive when tried to yank on it, and at point blank, Illusive would get his hands and arms tangled at most. He jumped back away from Illusive, unwilling to give up the staff yet.
He was between a rock and a hard place. Can't go up without getting hit by the falling poles, and couldn't move without getting hit by the chains. But he could go down... He imagined a tunnel that led outside the poles with the entrance being right under his feet. He fell through just before both rock and hard object impacted, causing the mace to hit the poles instead of him.
IC Mar'jik:
Mar'jik easily avoided the darts and attacked, swinging his axe again.
Ic: Pyre
Pyre jumped to the side out of the axe's reach before attempting to hit Mqr'jik's arm with his superheated scythes.
Mar'jik overbalenced, and Pyre's axes carved a gash in his arm. Mar'jik quickly willed the lanterns around them to go out.
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
I saw Illusive fall off of his pole, one arm tangled in his own net. I turned and threw my flail at Toxin's back. Specifically, the part of his carapace where his Kraata is housed. Still wreathed in silence, he wouldn't be able to hear it until had traveled out of the range of my powers, and by then, it would be too late to avoid.
OOC: Axes? I used a scythe. Also did the heat have any effect on the gash? Also does plasma produce light?
The lanterns went out.
"Karz."
Pyre quickly ran around dripping plasma to light up the area. He then fired 2 plasma darts at Mar'jik.
OOC: 14 darts
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
Toxin began to try and pounce on Illusive, intending on impaling him, unaware that the mace landed where he was once at.
Stronghold rose out of the tunnel and saw what Silencer was going to do. As Silencer was in midswing, he tried to punch Silencer from behind with his spike-attached cestuses.
IC: The Twins (Illusive) - Gym.
I spotted Silencer stumble forward, reeling from a punch aimed at his back.
My attacker, meanwhile, was trying to impale me with my own spear. Cute. Using the same trick he'd employed against me earlier, I used the net still caught around my arm to entangle the spear, trapping it. With my other hand, I reached across and briefly touched the weapon, pushing past the momentary nausea to make the teleporting blade vanish. Toxin didn't know the trick to using Serpent-Fang. To him, it was now just a pole.
OOC: Sorry, forgot. The heat basically melted the metal in place, which'll make it harder to repair. Plasma glows very brightly.
IC: The brightly glowing darts were easy to avoid for Mar'jik, and he ran for where he remembered his Chakram to be.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
Unable to comprehend what happened, he decided to do something that might anger Illusive. When he was hit by Silencer earlier, his Kraata was knocked around the suit a little, causing some slime to fill his mouth. He did the natural thing to do when a mouth if full of unwanted things. Spit it out. And he spit it out all over the staff, and on Illusive.
Stronghold proceeded to try and punch Silencer again before he gave him time to recover. His spikes hopefully would be able to tear through some of the armor.
IC: Illusive - Gym.
I kicked off a nearby pole, pulling myself sideways away from the poison. My netted hand - still caught around the staff - yanked hard, trying to wrench the weapon out of Toxin's grasp, perhaps throwing him off balance as well.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
IC: Silencer - Gym.
I twisted, letting his fist hit the net gun holstered on my back instead of hitting me. I spun around, pulling my flail back into my hand and swinging my fist at him, the chain dragging behind it so that the spiked flail would hopefully hit him a moment after my hand did.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
He let go of the weapon, it was coated in his slime anyways. Knowing that Illusive will fall due to physics and stuff, he threw a poisoned kunai point blank at him, while giving him no time to react.
He damaged Silencer's gun instead of Silencer. A noble sacrifice.
As someone who knows hand-to-hand combat, he easily dodged the fist by a duck and weave, allowing the ball to fall right next to him. He tried to uppercut Silencer quickly before Silencer would raise and swing the flail again.
IC: Silencer - Gym.
He dodged my blow and came around aiming an uppercut at my face. He was exposed. I twisted my head to the side, letting his fist graze my cheek while my own fist - Legion wrapped around it as makeshift knuckleduster - snapped out between our bodies, aimed at his gut.

Except I didn't fall, because I was already lying on my back on the ground. I slid backwards across the floor, noticing the knife he threw at me and kicking out at another pole to push myself out of its path. I got to my feet, swinging the net in my hand to flick the poison off of Serpent-Fang without me having to touch it. Once cleaned, I took the staff in one hand, disentangling the net from the other and holding it loosely.
Enforcing my will on the gym, the poles dissolved once more into the floor, leaving the ground around the four of us even once more.
IC: Squid
Squid twiddled his thumbs and slouched over, then made a sighing noise.
IC: Era - Library.
I continued sitting high up on my shelf, Zivon nestled up beside me. It was peaceful here in the library.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
He covered himself a thin layer of his leftover slime and took out his kusarigamas. Illusive obviously had the superior mind right now. They were forced to fight on open ground.
Stronghold fell back a little, but like most punches, it didn't hurt. He smirked and tried to punch him again with the spikes headed towards his face.
OOC: Sorry, forgot. The heat basically melted the metal in place, which'll make it harder to repair. Plasma glows very brightly.
IC: The brightly glowing darts were easy to avoid for Mar'jik, and he ran for where he remembered his Chakram to be.
OOC: So since he ran around dripping plasma the place should be lit right?
IC: Pyre
Pyre saw where Mar'jik was running and ran to intercept him and grab his Chakram. Reloading his scythes along the way.
IC Kat:
I let Hoto take the burden gratefully, "Thanks," I sighed.
I wasn't sure if the rahkshi we were carrying was even still conscious, but I decied to berate her anyway.
"You know, that stunt you just tried to pull back there is the same thing that Omega pulled. If you really care, you should learn from that, so you can live and honor his memory."
Man, I was cross with everyone. Maybe I needed some sleep, too....
IC: Rail - Gym
Rail silently nodded as he watched the others drag the injured Rahkshi away.
IC: Silencer - Gym.
But I'd never been trying to hurt Stronghold with that punch. If he'd been looking down at my hand instead of trying to punch my face, he would have noticed that Legion was no longer wrapped around my hand. It was now coiled around his belt...
...and it was active.
I bobbed sideways to avoid his punch as Darkness enveloped us. I grinned as I retreated out of the cloud of darkness; he was now deaf and blind, and best of all, he wouldn't have a clue how to turn Legion off, if he even found it in the first place.

IC: Illusive - Gym.
I projected an illusion of myself directly in front of him as a distraction and then... did nothing. I stood absolutely still, just like one of my illusions.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
He saw Illusive teleport in front of him again. He already knew he was an illusion Rahkshi now, so he walked through the illusion, and saw another Illusive. Unsure if that was another illusion or not, he picked up the poisoned kunai off the ground and threw it at him.
He found Legion on him. He knew from Toxin's story that it somehow got the ability to rob all light. He smiled. Time to try and be smart.
OOC: Can Legion be broken? Like just pulling apart and break it?
OOC: Special weapon crafted by the Ghosts? No, I don't think it would be easily broken.
IC: Illusive - Gym.
Ugh... fine... this guy wasn't as dumb as he looked. I strode forwards, batting the kunai aside before taking another step and swinging the Serpent-Fang at his chest, the blade springing back into existence as I did so.

IC: Silencer - Gym.
The bubble of darkness that Legion creates forms an orb, meaning it has a definable centre. I flung my flail at that centre, where my opponent was no-doubt still standing. Still hidden in my silence field, he wouldn't be able to hear the weapon coming.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
As soon as Illusive moved, he backflipped, narrowly avoiding the blade that magically appeared on the opposite side of where he knew the blade was once before. He now had assumptions about Serpent-Fang and knew how to avoid it. He licked the blades of his kusarigamas with his slime and flung the scythe end of one of his kusarigamas at Illusive.
He was running while he took it off his back, and he felt the air move as the mace head moved where he was. After some tinkering to accidentally unlink the chain, and thinking that he broke the weapon and that he would be stuck in eternal darkness, drop the chain and ran out of the darkness. On the side opposite of his opponents.
IC: Glass
"Um... We fill up buckets of sand and tell them it's project work and could they kindly bring it in?"
IC: The Twins (Illusive) - Gym.
I ducked past the flying weaponand lunged in close, stabbing with Serpent-Fang, trying to force him backwards into the path of Silencer's flail, which my twin had just flung towards us, having apparently already dealt with his opponent. Silence had fallen around us at my twin's approach; Toxin wouldn't hear the spiked flail coming.
Our opponent's options were few: get stabbed, get spiked, or my personal favourite: both.

IC: Xara - Dorm.
I shrugged. "It's worth a try."
IC: Glass
"It's not like they have actual brains."
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/3rd Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
He jumped in the air over Illusive and the spear. In midair, he tried to slash at Illusive's shoulder with the other kusarigama, which still was coated in poison, and tried to kick him from behind, unaware of the ball that had flown where he once was, and would now hit Illusive if he got too close.
Stronghold was still alive and unharmed. Seeing the darkness disappear, he realized that unlinking the chain caused the darkness to go away, and not trap in eternal darkness. He took Legion for now, and hid it in his kraata case. He then tried to punch SIlencer from behind, again.
IC: Xara - Gym.
"Kind of like half of the students here..." I joked, "... not you, of course." I clarified quickly.
______________________________________________________________________________________
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
I saw Illusive's attacker jump over him, and Illusive react by stabbing the blunt end of Serpent-Fang upwards towards where his opponent was now trying to slash at his back. The blade sprung into place at that end of the staff, giving Illusive the reach needed to hit his enemy before he could hit Illusive.
I pulled back on my flail, sending it flying in an arc back towards me and avoiding Illusive. Beside me, I could see that the darkness had flickered out, and Legion - along with the invulnerability Rahkshi - were nowhere to be seen. I spun around immediately, recalling how fond this guy was of attacking from behind, and swung my returning flail towards him.
OOC: Oh...I thought unlinked meant that the chain could be separated at one part. I fixed it.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/1st Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
"GAHH! My chest!"
Great...now I had a nice gash on my chest, and I was getting pretty mad. I tried to slash at him again with both kusarigamas.
I got hit in the shoulder, and it hurt, creating a giant visible dent caused my left shoulder to dislodge. Karz, people loved doing that to me. I attempted to back away, trying to force my shoulder back into place.
IC: Flash | Refectory
Squid's fidgiting had got her attention. "Bored yet?"
OOC: Zelnos is open for interaction in the library
IC Vir
Corridors, near Refectory
Back from their peaceful visit to Nyrah, Vir headed down the hall towards the Refectory. Still amazed that a fellow student had been killed by another, Vir didn't pay as much attention to where they were going as usual, and walked right into another student. To their horror, she had pure-white armor: a Kurahk! Of all the most fearsome students, the Anger-Rahkshi were usually the worst. Unlike Vir themself, most seemed constantly enraged.
Vir took a step back and started to panic. "Aah! I'm so sorry!"
OOC: That's Melody.
IC: Squid
"Yeah... Do you know anyone with blue and silver paint, and painting tools? Maybe some experience?"
IC: Silencer - Gym.
My weapon gave me a huge advantage here. I had the advantage of far greater reach, and since my weapon was made for crushing and bludgeoning, I could still hurt him. Even with his strengthened armour, he wasn't immune to internal damage. I could beat him to a pulp and leave his armour looking fine from the outside.
In fact... that didn't sound like such a bad idea...
With that happy thought in mind, I swung out at him once more...
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
IC: Illusive - Gym.
I raised my staff, blocking his two blades, and kick out at one of his knees.
IC: Glass
"Hah, yeah."
This was getting a little uncomfortable.
"Should we try now?"
IC: Xara - Dorm.
"No, we'll try in two week's time when Sand is feeling homesick..." I said sarcastically, still managing to keep up a smile. I couldn't managed to be snappy in the presence of such an adorable little creature like Sand.
The kitten purred softly as I picked herup, "...of course we'll do it now."
IC: Sidonas - Refectory
Sidonas was tired, tired of all of this. He just wanted to collect his tools, get his Codex, fix his legs, and not worry about being hunted by any who could decode his secrets. Might have to find some time when the headmaster isn't in his office.. But when is that? When could he possibly be away from the only place he has ever most likely set foot on in the academy? Could I get myself in trouble and snatch it while I'm being beat? Not a chance. I just need to wait until the opportunity presents itself. But am I running out of time? And who would be mad enough to help me? I don't see anyone who is crazy enough to steal what may or not be in the possession of a Makuta. Confused about what to do, Sidonas saw the four who had helped him previously leave. Before I make any moves, I need to get my property back first. With that he rolled himself towards the path that the four were following. Which led to the gym. Close to them. he hissed out: "You all have something that I want back."
IC: Era - Library.
It sounded like there were more people in here now, talking in not-exactly-soft voices. "Who's there?" I called out.
IC: Hoto - Hallways
This Rahk was a lot heavier than Hoto thought, but Kat couldn't take her back. "Just... leave her alone... Kat. She's... doing the best... she can."
Hoto hadn't noticed earlier in the chaos of the moment, but that voice sounded familiar. Usually she prided herself in being good at linking the voices to names, and she felt embarrassed it had taken her this long to remember. "You're... Recoil, right? We met... in the Naming Day assignment. You... helped us carry... Dodge."
That seemed like so long ago. Back then, she didn't know anyone, didn't know Fang was here, everyone was alive... and she thought Exxan and Phogen were good. She didn't "see" most of the fight, but she could hear it. It didn't take long for everyone to gang up on Recoil, and Exxan was right there in the middle of it. She had caught him preparing a kick, and heard the brutal snap of Recoil's leg. Surely something like this didn't warrant that kind of punishment.
But Kat had said this was what had happened to Omega. It was the first real bit of information of what exactly happened in that fight, and it wasn't pretty. And it had ended with Omega's death. None of it made any sense with the Exxan she had first met, unless...
...unless Phogen and Exxan had really been lying to her. They said they cared, they didn't want anyone hurt. But that was exactly what she wanted them to say, and they needed her in that moment. Was it a lie? Was this the true Exxan, someone who can't let anyone get in his way?
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/1st Person/Gym - Fighting Silencer and Illusive
Stronghold accepted the blow to his side, his whole left side was now dented and rendered immobile. As much as he hated losing again, he had to concede. With one hand, he managed to sign in the De-Matoran language. ~Please, stop. I concede.~
Toxin's kneecap broke and he fell. He looked at Illusive. Perhaps he'll challenge both of them next time, and he will be much more prepared. But he needed to tell them that he gave up somehow. Seeing Stronghold sign to Silencer reminded him that hand signs did work. Sloppily he signed: ~I loose already. Do no kill me.~ He sighed, awaiting a killing blow, or some mercy.
IC: Silencer - Gym.
While I didn't actually understand the De-Matoran sign language, I knew it when I saw it. But going by his body language, he was probably surrendering. I lowered my silence field, but not my weapon. "Where is Legion?" I asked immediately, noting that the kusari was nowhere to be seen.

IC: Illusive - Gym.
I lowered Serpent-Fang, retracting the blade and putting the staff across my back once more. I left the injured Rahkshi where he lay and moved to stand beside my brother, exchanging a quick high-five with him.
IC: Toxin and Stronghold/1st Person/Gym
I ejected it from my kraata case. I was bitter, but still alive at least. I couldn't get off the ground though. I sat there waiting for Toxin to pick me up and get us to the infirmary.
I walked up to the two offering a handshake. I felt more calm now.
"Thanks. That was a good battle. I believe you wanted to test those nets on me right? Well, I think they would work very well."
OOC: Whelp. Lost again.
