IC: Green

"I have absolutely no idea myself, but that sounds as good as anything," Green said to Squid, nodding.

"Though since they're a lot of us, should we split into two?"

IC: Pyre, Famine, War, Pestilence, Death

Pyre told the rest to follow him. He walked up to Mar'jik recognizing him from their spar.

Pyre: "Hey. Want to team up?"

IC: Revenge-Malebrance

"Let's not waste any more time."  Revenge walked toward the city.

IC: Jayar / Terrain Crawler-->Malebranche

Jayar found himself swept off the Terrain Crawler in a frenzy of exiting students, and soon he had lost track of everyone he knew. He hoped Hoto would be okay.

So... Where would Suvak be? He could think up a reason the Skakdi drillmaster might be anywhere. Hmm. It seemed reasonably unlikely that he would be hiding in a bathhouse, and therefore likely by hide-and-seek logic, so Jayar set off for the Vapour Gardens on the third level.

IC: Vlad / Terrain Crawler-->Malebranche

Vlad wandered out of the Terrain Crawler and into the city, cautioning Ivan to stay behind. The fiery city was no place for an Ice Bat.

He proceeded to enter the market, and become hopelessly lost almost instantly. Oh well. At least he had escaped that vile snot Rahkshi.

OOC: Probably last post of night.

IC: Rider

Rider immediately began to adjust to his surroundings and blended in. He would not be noticed.

IC: Exxan - Malebranche.

"I guess I'll go have a look at Tridax's estate, then?" 

IC

Still quietly slid out of the Crawler, lost among the horde of students. It swiftly looked around, seeking a way in. Though the guard may not be drawn to a few Rahkshi, they no doubt would take offense to a swarm of them. So, it'd have to find a more inconspicuous way. Ah, perhaps it could attach itself to one of many would-be warlords hungry for funding or weapons, more shine than substance. It would play a hanger-on, a cowed Rahkshi trophy to be displayed. It scanned the area, seeking out such a person, while listening all the way. A cyborg Skakdi armed by the Makuta themselves was bound to draw attention, and loose lips would be its greatest ally in this assignment.

IC Vaalku

Vaalku followed Revenge and the now-cloaked Rider, headed to the eighth tier, hoping the other Rahk followed along.

IC: Booger-Crawler

Booger waited quietly, watching Shiny.

IC: Revenge-Malebranch, 1st layer

Revenge looked around for a cable car that was open he managed to find one and motioned for the others to get in.

IC: All Characters/3rd Person, Counterpunch's POV/1st Tier ---> 2nd Tier

All saw Pyre approach first, and decided that four against five would not be a good thing, and would attract the attention of unwelcome visitors.

Having no one else to ally with, they went to second tier.

IC: Fang - Malebranche - First Tier

Fang nodded at Kat's suggestion. Even if they split up and one Rahkshi got the credit, it would be nice to have someone else to cover ground and report on where Suvak was not.

Fang started for the lowest tier, only just realizing that Exxan was right, but not just because of the difficulty. Fang wasn't sure if Suvak could hide down there. It didn't hurt to check, at least.

IC: Root - Malebranche - Sixth Tier

His descent had been pleasant, if not entirely comfortable. The heat was making his plants wilt, but it wouldn't appear that he would need them.

Above him, the Factories loomed with their smokestacks like enormous beasts. He felt nervous and insignificant in their shadows, but a hero has no place for such feelings! With a sudden motion, Root pulled open the doors on the nearest factory, exposing its dim interior for his bold gaze. Matoran working on parts didn't look up from their work, even as Root took to searching the parts bins around them. Of course, it may attract attention for a bush to be tearing through parts, but how else was Root supposed to succeed in this assignment?

IC: Rain - Malebranche - First Tier

The Bazaar, with its multitude of species and beings, seemed like a decent bet for Rain. Not to mention she had the chance to enjoy the beautiful colors on each tent. There were so many things being sold here! She couldn't resist pausing in her search from time to time and looking into the shops. If only she had some widgets...

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

Hoto stood off to one side as the others planned, completely silently. With luck, they wouldn't even notice her, and she could slip back into the vehicle.

IC: Rider

Rider got in silently.

IC: Era - First Tier.

"You're being really quiet," I said, stepping back towards Hoto. "More so than usual." Surely she didn't think I'd just forget about her? She was the only friend I had here who knew what life for me was like. "Are you sure you're okay?"

IC: Exxan - Second Tier. 

Flying was difficult, but not impossible. I just had to be careful to stay balanced and fly straight. I soon made it up to the second tier, and started following the signs towards Tridax's estate. 

OOC: Doh darnit. Just let me shut my big mouth now.

Does Ultron have to stay up all night just to see if we nab him?

OOC: This isn't the student register

IC: Pyre, Famine, War, Pestilence, Death

Pyre motioned for the rest of his squad to follow him. Wanting to gain more allies he walked up to Mar'jik recognizing him from their spar.

Pyre: "Hey. Want to team up with us?"

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

"How can you be okay with all of this?!" Hoto suddenly burst out, flinging her arms to gesture at the crowd around them. "It's impossible! Give me a few minutes and I couldn't even find my way back here in this maze! And with all of that, we're supposed to find one Skadki in a crowd of hundreds, if not thousands! Sure, no problem at all for someone who can see!"

She caught herself and stopped the flow of emotion. "I'm... I'm sorry," she whispered. "Just... go on without me. I'll go back to the Academy. I can't help you."

Hoto ran off toward the beach.

IC: Era - Malebranche.

"Hoto, wait!" I ran after her, leaving the rest of the group to their discussions. Something was wrong. The last time I'd been with her on the island, she'd been so confident, almost cockily so. Now she was full of self-doubt. I wasn't going to let her run from her problems. 

I caught her should. "What's going on?" 

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

Hoto tried to shrug off the hand and keep running. "I can't help you!" She shouted over her shoulder. "Just let me go!"

IC Vaalku

Vaalku's little party finally got to the eighth tier. "Karz, it smells bad here." Vaalku said as he walked over. "Watch your step here. And wait... Where's Rider?"

IC: Floor

"No one's going to hurt you if you just tell us what's wrong," he told Hoto as he gave chase by flying. Man what was her problem?

IC: Glass

"Yes, I am. She understands me."

Meow.

IC Mar'jik:

Mar'jik responded, "I don't have any good ideas on where to look, but I do have an ace in the hole. My powers will let me sense Suvok within a certain radius, so if I get close enough we can get a lock on him."

IC: Pyre, War, Death, Famine, Pestilence

Death asked, "Should we start searching the places we expect to find him. Or least expect to find him?"

IC: Revenge-Malebranch, 8th tier

"The Refineries are few and spread apart, perhaps we  should split into smaller groups"

OOC: I'm assuming Flash followed them.

OOC: Yeah, but Rider's gone. He skipped back to the transport. So... How can we evenly divide into smaller groups without going alone?

IC Vir and Mahrika

Terrain Crawler -> Malebranche First Tier

"Fine," Mahrika snapped at Deadeye. "Well, if anyone actually cares, I'm looking for partners for the search. I don't suppose you'd be interested."

"Uh, I'll go with you," Vir offered.

Mahrika hardly noticed the Kurahk's comment. He stepped down onto the beach and headed after the rest of the crowd of students, following the general flow of the students. Most were attracted to the First Tier's bazaars, so he followed them as they dispersed to gaze at various tents and stands.

Vir followed close behind him. They didn't want to get separated from other Rahkshi.

Mahrika walked up to the first nearby student, who had quite an artistic armor pattern. "Hey, all right if I search with you?

OOC: Rider got into the  cable car.

OOC: Ohes.

IC Vaalku

"Very well then, since you're head of this Revenge, how should we split?

IC: Era - Malebranche.

"Sorry to do this..." I sighed, pulling out my whip and lashing out at the thumping vibrations of where Hoto's feet were hitting the ground, aiming to entangle her feet and hopefully trip her over, "...maybe I can help you."

IC: Xara - Malebranche.

"I think I'm going to have to take you to see Palma when all of this is over..." I told Glass, "...I'm seriously worried about you." 

IC: Flash

Flash got on the cable.

IC: Zelnos

"Should we check the busier areas?" Zelnos asked the rest of the group. "It would disguise his... clanging. Or is that too obvious?"

OOC: I assume you mean Rain, Akavakaku?

IC: Rain - Malebranche - First Tier

Oh, now that was pretty. Rain ducked into a stall and snatched up a small jar of blue paint. It was of a particular hue she hadn't seen in the Cauldron, and it was perfect for the reflection of the ocean on the Crawler's carapace.

"How much is this?" She asked the merchant, shaking the bottle in his face. Right, he didn't speak Rahkshi. Not that she had widgets to buy anything with. She reached a hand into her bag and dug around for a moment to find something worthy of the paint. A... small chisel? Why was that even in there? She shook her head and tried to get the merchant to understand she wanted to trade him for the paints by waving each object in his eyes in turn. He only gave her confused and threatening looks.

Suddenly, a Rahkshi voice startled her, and she nearly dropped the bottle. Karz, with all her shopping, the others were catching up. She was hoping to win it just by racing through the town and looking where others hadn't had a chance to, but the paint was too perfect.

She reeled on the silvery Rahk, noting it was not the same one as before. Squid, right? No, deal with this guy first. "Don't do that!" She shouted. "Can't you see I'm busy? Just... give me a sec and you and your friend can tag along. You'd better be fast!"

She dug around in her bag a bit more and the tip of her claw just caught a roundish object. She reached in after it and pulled out a few dull widgets without a clue of how they got there. She probably... sold something to a Ghost... or something. Whatever it was, the merchant seemed more than happy to accept all of it for the small jar. She turned to leave, snatching the silver guy's hand on the way out. "Come on then, Sparky. We've got a Skakdi to find."

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

Hoto felt the whip coil around her legs, but she couldn't do anything but cushion her landing. She tore at the chain with frustration and tried to pull it off. Finally, she just gave up and screamed at Era. "Why are you doing this?! You're just going to drag me along! I'm useless! It would be better for everyone if I just stayed out of your way!"

IC: Green

Hoto, Floor, and Era ran off. Green waited for a bit, before turning to Squid. "We probably have to split up anyways, so do you want to check the business section by ourselves?"

IC: Era - First Tier.

Zivon fluttered off in fright, and my own ears stung, more from the noise than her actual words. "Could you please not shout?" I said pleadingly, bending down to disentangle her legs. "What's wrong, Hoto? When we were hunting those spiders you were so confident, running on ahead... I had to stop you from going too far, remember? Now you're doing the exact opposite." My tone softened. "Tell me what's wrong; I can't help you if you won't talk to me." 

OOC: Yep

IC Vir and Mahrika

Malebranche First Tier

"Whoa!" Mahrika was dragged along through the marketplace. "Hold on, where are we even going?"

Vir headed after them. "So what's our plan?" They accidentally interrupted the beginning of Mahrika's sentence.

IC Catatonic:

I let my face fall into my palm.

We hadn't actually agreed on a meet point.

I ran on the assumption that our meet point was here, and dashed off to find the Bathhouse.

OOC: Open for interaction

IC: Exxan - Second Tier. 

"Well, well, well..." I mused, coming into sight of Tridax's estate, "...this is quite the place you've got here." I walked up to the gates, wondering if there were porters or servants of some kind who would open the gates for me, or if I'd have to let myself in. 

OOC: I guess Exxan will just have to wait for an Ultron post now. 

IC: Rain - Malebranche - First Tier

Rain rolled her eyes and answered both of them. "Other side of the Bazaar. If we're fast, we can take a look around before anyone else gets there. These crowds and stalls are perfect for... Oh, look at that!" Rain ran over to another stall and admired a strange little sculpture that didn't really seem to look like anything but a shapeless blob. To her eyes, it was art.

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

Hoto considered just running off again as soon as her legs were freed, but she knew wouldn't get far. Era was good with that whip.

She sighed and tried to explain. If anyone would understand, it was Era. "It was... after that," she mumbled. "Everyone was pulling out weapons and taking down Dagger Spiders. Even you were using your whip. But... I couldn't. I just stood back and watched. And... and I realized I didn't know what to do. Then there was this fight with Exxan, and I wanted to help... and Fang's story... You talked about proving yourself to the Makuta. How can I do that if I can't even fight?

"Now would you let me go? You're getting behind."

IC: Fang - Malebranche - Ninth Tier

Fang caught a ride down to the Caldera Level on a shipment of tools. It seemed like the tools would have to be constantly replaced. Nothing could last long in this heat. Even before he touched down, his armor popped and started to glow dimly as he drew closer to the heart of the volcano. There were few workers here. It would be easier to escape their attentions, but a Rahkshi would stand out if seen. He had to be fast.

His eyes dropped down to the lake of lava below. Even with his heat resistance, that would not be pleasant to fall into. He tried to swallow his nervousness, but his fluids seemed to evaporate instantly.

At last, he felt the crate touch down on solid ground and wasted no time in leaping over one edge and behind a cluster of rocks. There were not many places to hide, and ever inch of it was cast in a dull red glow. If Suvak could tolerate the heat, he would be easy to find down here.

IC: Era - First Tier.

"I already offered to help train you, and right now, we're not here to fight. Now get up and help me." Perhaps a bit of tough love would get through to her. I had no idea what story of Fang's she was talking about, and right now, I didn't care. What I cared about was getting Hoto to believe in herself. "Do you know what I keep telling myself all the time? Blindness is not weakness. We're just as strong as everyone else here."

I offered her my hand to help her up. "Now prove it. To yourself, to me, and to everyone else." 

IC Vir and Mahrika

Malebranche First Tier

Mahrika grunted in frustration and pressed his palm to his forehead.

Vir took the opportunity to get a few words in. "Well, if we want to get there fast we should probably not stop to look at things. Do you mean the other side of THIS market, or... the opposite side of the tier?

IC: Hoto - Malebranche - First Tier

Hoto blankly stared at the offered hand without moving. Then she spoke nearly inaudibly. "You still don't get it. Give me some being, and I can tell you most powers. Throw me out in the middle of nowhere and I'll find a way to survive. I know what I can do, but I know my limits. That would be hard, but this... this is impossible! I don't care if you choose to find some way that makes you feel good. I'm going back. It's one thing I can do."

IC: Rain - Malebranche - First Tier

"Right, right..." Rain nodded and reluctantly tore her eyes from the statue. She clasped her hands together and looked at the two. Back to business. "Which ever is further away. If we can search where the others haven't looked yet, we might have a chance of winning this."

IC: Toxin/1st Person/2nd Tier

We split up to cover more ground and would meet up at the second tier around Tridax's estate, if we didn't find Suvak of course... We all agree on teaming with others to find him, and it was not necessary for all of us to gain credit for the assignment. I was to go stealthily throughout the second and third tiers. So far, I've found nothing. I saw Exxan, perhaps trying to look and enter inside the estate...Perhaps that's not a bad idea...I stood around waiting for someone to let him in, and perhaps let myself in as well.

IC: Bullseye/1st Person/2nd Tier ---> 4th Tier

I was to parkour through the 4th and 5th tiers...I found nothing. I wanted to get more arrows...but I left my 15 widgets at home, hidden....

IC: Punch/Counterpunch/1st Person, Counterpunch's POV/2nd Tier --> 6th Tier

I'm browsing the 6th and 7th tiers. As soon as that was decided I headed down.

I finally managed to get down here. It gets hot, but it's bearable. 

*YAWNNNN*

And look who just woke up and joined the party...

IC: Stronghold/1st Person/2nd Tier ---> 8th Tier

I got the backhand of the search...but then again, my armor gives me little, if not some, resistance to the temperature conditions. However, I was unsure if I could go into the ninth tier. Honestly, it all sound like suicide unless you were a Ta- or Su- Matoran.

OOC: Interaction/Teaming Available...but I won't receive until tmrw...
