IC: Mikhail
"You are a very annoying person," said Mikhail as he walked off to grab a tin of cookies from the cupboard.
He soon returned, handing over the tin to Aella and resuming watch.
IC Reyson"Says the person who mugged me, tortured me, knocked me out, and dragged me to this place," Reyson muttered, loud enough food Mikhail to hear but quiet enough to not disturb Aella.IC: Mikhail "You are a very annoying person," said Mikhail as he walked off to grab a tin of cookies from the cupboard. He soon returned, handing over the tin to Aella and resuming watch.
IC: Aella
I stared at the tin in my hand for a moment, as if I was wondering what I should do with it. Finally I just pulled the lid off and looked inside. It was full of...round things. I gave them a sniff, taking in the strange yet pleasant aroma. I picked one of the brown disks in my hand, looking at it for a bit before shrugging and taking a big bite out if it.
My eyes widened a bit, I hadn't expected it to taste so...good. I didn't know it was possible for food to taste good in the first place! It was a bit overwhelming.
IC: Mikhail
"First time you have had cookies?"
IC: Persephone placed a hand on Reyson's shoulder. She didn't do it with much force, or too abruptly, but the way it sat there had a certain irresistible element to it. If Reyson tried to move that hand would be there and it would not be happy.
"Sir, if you are so eager to talk, perhaps you wouldn't mind answering a few of my questions? Like what you were doing spying on an active operation?"
IC: "Okay," Alec agreed, bending forward so Cat Dallas could sit on his back without using his spine as a scratching post, "But I'm setting a condition on your condition: You can't eat them all at once."
IC: Nicole, Feral
"I can't wait! So many ideas! Where to start!"
"Last I saw her she was standing in the doorway of the school so I imagine she's still around there." John said as he scratched the back of his head.
"You really think Warren killed Ric?" he was still having a hard time digesting that. Alaric, Ashlynn. Now they were both gone. Two of his childhoods closest friends.
"You sure this party is a good idea? Maybe I should skip it. I don't want trouble to start."
IC:
"I don't know what to think, man," Dal sighed. "I'm no detective, and I'm not exactly in a rush to head out to Vegas any time soon to start being one. But look around you - this place is dying, John. And we both know what the school looked like when there was such a thing as the X-Men, Ashlynn's class wasn't just collecting dust, and we used Alaric's desks for something more than finding where he used to store the alcohol for--Idea! Nicole! We can grab some of Ric's stash for the party, he wouldn't mind, he always used to hide it for us when something rolled around..."
-Tyler
IC ReysonOk, time to start enacting your training Reyson."... What? 'Active operation'?"
IC: Nicole, Feral
"Yay alcohol!"
"Is that her reaction to everything?" John snickered. He nodded at Dallas. "You're right Cali. This school isn't the same as it used to be. We need to do something to set it right. Sometimes I feel like Ric knew we used to steal from his stash and didn't care, like he kept it stocked for us." John said as he headed down the hall towards Ric's room.
"So we checking to see if he still has anything or what?"
IC:
"Uhhhh, Nicole and I can," he said, sharing looks with the First Daughter. "Not a lot of people know you and Julia are here, so you're perfect candidates to smuggle in the twenty-eight pizzas I'm finna order while I'm in Ric's room. We can smuggle the booze into that old rec hall where we threw the party last time and set up an iHome system or four then spread the word. Tell Jules not to let Alex know she's here yet: I want to surprise him tonight."
John stopped midstep. "Alright I can grab some pizza then. Where do you want it from? I'll see if I can find Julia too on my way out." Smuggling pizza wasn't as fun as smuggling booze but since John was on thin ice as it was perhaps this was the smarter route.
"Oh, hey, Johnny," Dal continued as John went to turn around again and find Julia, taking a couple steps and hugging him with a couple claps on the shoulder, "good to see you, tiger. Next time, you and me on a beer run. Promise. Tonight's my treat. C'mon, Nicole, I don't think you've ever seen any of Ric's stashes...I swear you've never seen so much whiskey in your life..."

OOC: Sorry for not posting guys. Following a brief tornado, there was some internet troubles.
IC:
Once they had arrived at the safe house, Trinity had gotten to the nearest sofa before curling up in the fetal position. She apparently was content enough to watch the others, whilst she fended off sleep.
"Christine? I don't know which stores are which. I got these clothes from Goodwill," Kristen said, eyes scanning around the mall, putting to memory which stores were which.
Sam's words slowly started to change into chanting, as she started the spell over again. If Krystal was looking, Sam had closer her eyes quite tightly, and had her hands around a particular amulet around her neck in either hopes that something wouldn't go wrong, or protection if it did.
As soon as her chanting stopped, a bright light engulfed the cinderblock she'd placed in the center of the new set of circles, and was rewarded with the sound of small detonations as the ingredients and the cinderblock seemed to implode on themselves, and the circles were set upon fire.
Sam, had ducked the second she saw a chunk of cinderblock fly her way, and was slowly getting up and dusting herself off, "Well... At least we're all in one piece..."
IC: Feral, Nicole
John hugged Dallas back. "You too man," he said. For the first time in a long time it felt like John was finally home. "I'll look forward to it then. Alright I'm gonna go find Julia. You order those pizzas and then text me where to pick em' up."
John then turned away and walked the opposite direction down the hallway. He made his way discretely down the stairs before glancing around where he'd last seen Julia.
"Jules?"
"Ooohh, sounds exciting." she said happily. "I love breaking the rules."
IC: Mimic
"We could try Tillys, or Pacsun. You might like some stuff from Urban Outfitters." Christine shrugged.
IC:
"You pick. After all, isn't it the older sibling's job to pick these kindof stuff?" Kristen jokingly asked, smiling at her older sister.
IC:
"Yeah, I know, Nicole," Dallas deadpanned. "Ric's classroom is...uhh...somewhere...on this wing of the school...I think. Maybe. We...might be doing a bit of walking. Want a lift?"
"Sure!" Nicole squealed. "That sounds really nice."
Damning his chivalry the entire way, Dallas Green lifted Nicole up into the air and gave her a piggyback ride as he wandered the halls aimlessly, dodging the rare teacher every time he saw one and generally laying low until finding a door that vaguely looked like Alaric's and cracking it open. The room inside crackled with none of the frenetic energy it used to, looking for all the world like a sad, burnt fuse of a place - Ric Carlisle's pretty cursive was still scrawled on the board asking for an essay that he would never grade, on a Monday he would never see. Every desk was collecting dust, none more than the teacher's; the windows were fogged with disuse; just the sad, simple act of opening the door had allowed the ghosts to creep in and make this place their haunt.
Dallas slipped in and let Nicole slide off his back, breathing deeply as he walked over to Alaric's desk, the first logical place the history teacher would have stored some drink.

IC: Ashley
Ashley bit her lips, making noises of uncertainty. "Wellllll.....okay!"
Ashley saluted Alec. "Ready for duty! Tell me what to do!"
IC: Aella
I devoured the rest of the cookie, as the Mikhail guy called it. "I didn't know food could taste like this!" I started to eat a second one, though I did so slowly, not wanting it to be gone too quickly.
IC: Krystal
Krystal brushed off small pieces of cinder block off her uniform, she didn't appear to be harmed, though she did look mildly surprised. "Hmmm...maybe we should be wearing more protective gear."
IC: Nicole
"Wow this room is really dusty," Nicole said as she crept forward wrinkling her nose.
IC: Mimic
"Okay let's try the first one ah mentioned," Christine said as she pointed to a store on their left and then headed inside.
IC:
"Yeah," Dallas said quietly, fiddling with the lock on Alaric's bottom drawer. "C'mon, Ric, pull through for me...a-hah!"
The drawer slid open just as the Californian chronokinetic crowed in glee, and inside was a series of relatively-full bourbon bottles lined up and fixed together with makeshift plastic knots, creating a sort of six-pack around the necks of each bottle. ATTENTION, PARTYGOERS: DO NOT TOUCH. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU TO STEAL AND USE FOR YOURSELVES, Alaric's handwriting "demanded" from beyond the grave.
"I, uh...we're supposed to be..." Dallas started as he stood, only to stub his toe on the bottom of the drawer, yelp a curse, and then stumble back into the dry erase board on Ric's front wall, sending everything shaking on its hinges. A rolled up American flag loosened a bit and another bottle rolled out, with a key next to the bottle. He pocketed the key out of impulse before looking up at Nicole. After a couple seconds, he smirked and popped open the loner bottle.
"Alright. A shot."
-Tyler
IC: Nicole
She moved towards Dallas now in anticipation. "I love parties, here's too a great night." she said as she waited for Dallas to take a swig and then she'd follow.
IC: Mikhail
"Do not eat too fast. You may accidentally choke."
IC: "The one you were spying on," Persephone said drily. Though her eyes were lifelike enough to fool even sophisticated retina-scanning hardware, if Reyson looked into them at that moment they'd see the glint of steel. He'd been too close to the rescue and for too long to try and feign ignorance, Persephone saw through that ruse right away
IC: "Well my little mini Mata Hari, you talk to plants right? Anything they sense you hear about. Well there are plants all over this school. You've got...not eyes and ears but whatever it is plants have as spies." Alec grabbed the cat of his back and placed it down on the bed, "Great for keeping an eye on John. Just so we get advance warning if he does anything...John-like."
IC: Gabriel
Gabriel yawned, having returned his deck of cards to his satchel. As his eyes wandered, surveying the bus for apparent reason at all, he caught a glimpse of a very familiar person.
"Oh hey Jeff," he said, calling out to the teenager who was definitely not trying to hide. "Nice to see you again."
IC: Julia"Jules?"Julia looked up from her phone and saw John wandering vaguely in her direction."Yo," she called from the couch she was sitting on.
IC: Ashley
"Oooo I see!" Ashley said, nodding like a child who was trying to understand. She could indeed sense what the plants around her did, though she'd never though of using them in that way before.
"So you want me to like, put a flower in his hair?" She figured she'd be able to make a specific enough flower that she could sense where it was around the school at all times. Very clever, very sneaky.
IC: Jeffery Pryde
Dangit! Gabriel had seen his face, there was no use trying to hide now. With a sigh he turned his head to look at the other mutant. "Hi Gabe."
IC: "That'd work even better," Alec said, tapping his chin in a manner most contemplative. Well, it was in his head anyway. "Pick up all the angry waves he emits right at the source."
IC Reyson"You mean the Humvee incident? Yes, I was spying on it, but only because I was-ah, my head hurts-curious. I mean, you don't see that everyday. I his myself because when I noticed more and more people showing up, I thought maybe I was getting into something I wasn't supposed to, but I was still curious." Reyson used his backup backstpry, rehearsed over and over again: he was a mutant from another universe who was trying to integrate himself into society and was just driving along when he came across a Humvee destroying a field."Look, I don't know who you guys even are. Are you the Mafia? Why are you calling this an 'active operation', of all things?" Reyson still didn't know for sure just who had captured him. They probably weren't ordinary criminals, but they could be terrorists or a government agency.
IC: "I'll ask the questions here," Persephone stated, "Questions like 'how did you come to see the event in the first place?' since we weren't exactly close the the roads you claimed to be driving along. Or 'if you're a businessman going to a meeting, why were you willing to trek through the woods in your suit?' and so many others."
She paused, but not long enough for Reyson to give any answers before starting up again, "If I went back and found your car, would I even find any kind briefcase or travel suitcase?"
IC:
Dallas grinned at her toast and raised the bottle towards her, as though toasting her in reply. The feeling of dancing in a graveyard slowly disappeared; Alaric, after all, evidently had never cared what happened in his room, or what was taken from it.
"To both of us waking up with all our clothes on tomorrow afternoon," he laughed, before taking a large drink out of the bottle. His eyes widened - this is STRONG - and then swallowed, coughing in his chest once or twice and taking a deep breath before grinning a little wider at Nicole and handing her the bottle.
IC:
"Wait, Bekah, could you grab some chocolate chips while you're up?"
-Tyler
IC:
"Probably from the butter," Sam said, dusting herself off, "Only butter does this kinda stuff."
At that exact moment, Trinity's body decided that now would be a good time to pass out. So she fell sideways on the couch, head resting against Aella's body.
The second Kristen stepped foot into the store, her eyes were assaulted by a barrage of colours from the various clothing.
"Vibrant," she said, although her tone made it sound like she could have picked a different word. Kristen then headed into the female section of the store, and started to browse through clothes.
IC Reyson"Since I do not know what organization you're from, I will refuse to answer any questions in case you are criminals or terrorists that are using me or any connections that I am unaware of to further your goals. I will not have any role in any nefarious schemes that you may possibly have. Better safe than sorry."
IC: Aella
As I ate my cookie, I noticed that Trin was now lying on top of me, I had almost forgotten with the tin of cookies distracting me that she had been sitting with me.
"Hey...Trin..." I half whispered, taking a cookie out of the tin and poking her cheek with it. "You've gotta try a cookie...they're incredible."
IC: Ashley
"We're like...secret agents! Oooooooo!" Ashley seemed excited about the whole thing, she began to hum Secret Agent Man.
IC:
"Huh?" She asked, wearily taking a cookie and nibbled on it. After this first bite, her eyes widened as she then shoved the rest of the cookie into her mouth, barely seeming to chew it prior to swallowing.
"That was so good! Can I have another one!?" She asked, peering into the tin, interested in the small pieces of sweet-tasting heaven.
IC: Gabriel
"Been a while since I've seen you. What have you been up to?"
IC: Mikhail
"I assume he probably has a connection to whoever held these two young ladies captive," said Mikhail.
IC: Krystal
"Maybe you should try using margarine."
IC: Aella
We ended up pouring the rest of the cookies out on the blanket that was covering the both of us. We proceeded to split the cookies up evenly.
IC: Persephone sighed and withdrew the SHIELD-issue badge she kept with her. It served as proof of both her identity and that of the organisation running things. Neither of which she considered too hazardous to be revealed; her role as one of SHIELD's public faces was well known already, which should have indicated SHIELD's involvement already. Hmm, if he hadn't spotted that, maybe the guy really was as ignorant as he appeared to be...
No, no, no-one was that ignorant. Mikhail was probably right, he was most likely wrapped up in all this.
"Now you know we aren't the Mafia, how about you start answering our questions. Starting with what you were doing in an area far off the beaten track for someone claiming to be going to a business meeting."
IC: "Yes. Yes we are," Alec agreed, "Now how about a trip to a garden centre? The more potted plants we can put around the school, the better."
OOC ninja'd, rewriting
IC: Jeffery Pryde
"I've just been uh...skateboarding...." Jeff wasn't sure how to go from here, it was somewhat awkward. "What are you doing in New York anyway?" He hadn't seen Gabriel since Las Vegas, he prayed he hadn't been following him, that would be creepy.
IC: Gabriel
"I went to Hawaii."
IC: Jeffery Pryde
"That's nice...but that doesn't explain why you're here." Jeff admittedly could notice Gabriel had a slight tan.
IC: Gabriel
"I'm heading back to the Institute."
IC: Jeffery Pryde
Deargodno... "Oh really? That's interesting, I've been living there for almost a year now....ahha.." Jeff felt like his life had just taken a turn for the worse. He had nothing against Gabriel, it was just that horrible things seemed to happen to him when Gabe was around.
IC: Gabriel
"Yeah, have to make sure my old place hasn't been cleared out."
