IC: Chromia"I'm taking that as a compliment, so thanks." Chromia smiled. "I don't think there are many at all — I haven't known anyone other than myself with heterochromia, except my mother. She's dead now, though."
IC-Naut:Naut nodded. "Interesting. And your name is Chromia, right?" Chromia nodded, and Naut smiled slightly, the first in a while."I thought so, but I wasn't sure. Well, you seemed more interesting than the others back in Kumu, so I followed you, if you don't mind."
IC: Chromia"I don't mind at all. Always good to see people with intelligence and individuality take an interest in me."
IC-Naut:"And to think that the last person I travelled with described me perpetually as a bumbling fool. As well as everybody else with him." Naut rolled his eyes and sighed theatrically."Ah, why didn't I kill him when I had the chance?"
IC: ChromiaChromia shrugged. "Sometimes, it means more pain to let someone live than to kill them."
IC-Naut:"Not with this guy. He's just going to find more people to insult." Naut thought for a moment. "Hey, I have an idea!"He smiled."Let's kill 'im."
IC: Chromia"If he's anything like what you say, it's not worth it." Chromia sighed. "Killing gives a certain pleasure, a certain rush, that you just can't waste. You kill when you need to, you kill when the person is worth killing, but you don't kill when you're bored or when the person's simply a moron."
IC-Naut:"You don't know him, and so you don't realize how killing him would benefit not only me, but everybody else as well. He's on a quest to remove all happiness from this world, and so not only would his death be useful, it would be ironic."
OOC: ...I think Naut might be just a little bit delusional. :PIC: Chromia"I know his type. Trust me, he's not worth it."
OOC: Delusional how?IC-Naut:"Eh. Suit yourself." Naut shrugged. "If you'll excuse me, I noticed a blacksmith's shop not too far away, and I need to get myself a new weapon-hopefully they'll have a nice selection of sabres there, they're really the only swords I'm trained with." Soon enough, he left. Not long after, he came back, his new sabre in hand. "Yep," he said, putting on the baldric and strapping the sabre, in its sheathe, on. "They did."OOC: Imagine his sabre as having a hilt and guard similar to that of a Napoleonic Briquet sabre, but with a more curved blade, similar to those of the French First Empire Sailor of the Guard's sabre.
OOC: Incommodo is on no such quest.IC: Chromia"It looks nice." Chromia looked at the sabre, admiring the level of craftsmanship. "Very nice."
OOC: I meant Jest. >.<IC-Naut:"Thanks." He pulled it out, testing the edge, swinging the weapon through the air a few times to demonstrate its balance.
OOC: Oops.IC: Chromia"I've always preferred knives to sabres myself." Chromia admitted. "But I can see why some people have them as their weapon of choice."
IC-Naut:"Well, a großes messer, a close relative to the sabre, is naught but a 'Great Knife.' After all, it's in the name," Naut told Chromia as he sheathed his new sabre."And I'm not quick enough to use my knives anymore, except in a defensive role. I find a sabre much more effective now."
IC: Chromia"I don't usually need weapons to defend myself. The knife, you see, is fun. It's easily hidden, quickly withdrawn — not only that, but it's difficult to cause an instant kill. You can watch them die, feel the rush that comes with playing god."
IC-Naut:"This is true-but as I have said, I'm slowing down. I can't keep up with everybody anymore, and I get tired of having to rely on my element so much. And so, Sabre."
IC: Chromia"I understand. I'll keep that in mind should I ever start 'slowing down'." Although it could be interpreted as offensive, when Chromia said it, it sounded more like a compliment than anything else.
IC: BoforBofor walked into a pub, satisfied with the day's kill. He met his client in a corner booth and received his payment. Once the client had left, Bofor walked up to the bar and ordered a round of drinks for everyone. Why not share the wealth? This whole island was his office and every angry soul (75% of the inhabitants) were all engaged in some sort of feud, giving Bofor work. They at least deserved rewards for being the most productive island he ever visited. So he drank until he could drink no more.
IC: Gravity"Cause you're being very optimistic," I said, only half joking this time. Something about Kirian seemed... Off to me, he was too calm for it to be real. Atleast, I hoped it wasn't real. If it was, what would it take to put that guy over the edge... And what would he do once over that edge?Oh, and I'm one to talk.
IC: Caige (Park, Onu-Koro)Caige started to eat a sandwich as he listened to the conversation.-Teezy
IC: ChromiaChromia looked over at Caige. "How'd you get that so quickly?"
IC: Caige (Park, Onu-Koro)..."I bought it."-Teezy
IC: Chromia"Oh. I feel kind of sad that I didn't notice you doing so." Chromia frowned.
IC-Naut:Naut floated a sandwich over from a different shop and began eating it, unnoticed.
IC: Chromia"I always wondered what people saw in sandwiches - they have never appealed to me, personally."
IC: Caige (Park, Onu-Koro)"In this particular sandwich, I see ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, and mustard."-Teezy
IC: ChromiaChromia laughed slightly. "I mean it more in a figurative sense than a literal one."
IC: Bofor, Alia, Team Winged DaggerAlia strolled through the tunnel from Le-Wahi, looking for her boss. When she got to town, she heard his rowdy voice in a nearby bar. She walked in, some of the patrons staring at her."My good friend, have you got the money?" Bofor asked his employee.Alia nodded."Then have a drink!" the Vortixx exclaimed. "I'm buying."Pordal walked through the tunnel into the vast cavern of Onu-Koro."The safehouse is right around the corner," Yerith said, leading their informant through the streets. Once he was safe, the team went off again."Where to, now?" Gaz asked."We'll find something to do," the Captain answered.Pordal nodded. With their new disk launchers in hand, they strode out to Ko-Wahi, the center of the Vortixx's plot.OOC: Team Winged Dagger to Ko-Koro.
IC: Chromia"Since you've already eaten breakfast now, I wouldn't mind meeting that employer you mentioned. Anything else I should know about him, or any other employees?" Chromia asked, moving her feet up on to the bench.
IC: Caige (Park, Onu-Koro)"Not really. I just pay attention to who I have to kill and polish my blowdarts."-Teezy
IC: ChromiaBlowdarts? "Can I see some of them? The blowdarts?"
OOC: Ka'de, from Po-Wahi.IC: Ka'deThe light was growing dimmer and dimmer as we began to get closer to Onu-Koro."Do we have to go to Ko-Koro?" My voice lacked its usual cheerfulness.
IC: TehlinThe Toa of Plantlife came to a simple conclusion: He had been ditched. Again."What the freakin' Karz."
IC: ChromiaChromia sighed when Caige didn't answer. "I get the feeling you aren't going to be answering me any time soon."Chromia stood up, and looked at Caige. "It's been a pleasure. I hope to see you again very soon."She walked away from the group, and noticed a nearby inn: The Unfortunate Fikou. She shrugged and walked into it, before sitting down on a seat and putting her feet up on the table.
IC: Caige (The Unfortunate Fikou, Onu-Koro)"You know people have to eat there," said Caige, putting down his newspaper and revealing his face. He sipped a cup of coffee calmly, giving no explanation for how he had beaten her to the inn and added, "Their food is going to taste like foot now."-Teezy
IC: ChromiaChromia smiled when she noticed Caige. "They have plates," She shrugged; "I'm sure they'll be fine."
IC: Caige (The Unfortunate Fikou, Onu-Koro)"Until someone eats the plates."-Teezy
IC: Chromia"If someone eats the plates, the fragments'll kill them before my feet do." Chromia moved her feet down off the table anyway, just in case.
IC: Tehlin"And why the Karz would someone do that?" A slightly annoyed Toa of Plantlife asked. He wasn't annoyed with the two beings near him, rather with the fact that everyone seemed to be ditching him.
IC: Caige (The Unfortunate--Aw, Screw it, Onu-Koro)"Thank you," he said, having somehow moved to the seat beside Chromia while she was distracted. "Your quest for proper restaurant sanitation will not go unnoticed by The Powers That Be."-Teezy
