IC-Jaron:"No." Jaron said simply, then his face grew pained. "One of the main rules is that I can't tell them where you are right now, though," he said. "I'm sorry."
IC: To say the least, Aryll wasn't happy about Madrihk not appointing him deputy. sure, he'd been in the ILS for a shorter time then the chosen three, but he actually had experience. But he didn't want to ruin his future chances, so he made a mental note not to bring it up. Looking around at the surrounding forces, he couldn't help but be a bit jealous of Madrihk. This force was probably the one of the largest these natives could muster. With his expertise he could probably defeat half of Makuta's forces.Sitting around the fire, all he could do was think.
IC: Emotia - Crimson Nova Outpost? - That's okay...I understand...I'm just happy he's still alive... She giggled a bit, probably because she was high, though she quickly stopped herself, her captors probably still thought she was in shock. You know...I'm starting to wonder if my mark is really all so bad...I mean...I've never hurt anyone with it...and it feels really good to use...
IC: Plagia - HQ BuildingPlagia glared at Dendron for a moment more, before letting Dendron's wrist go, snarling."So, would you two guys mind explaining the whole "shoving us into a building" thing? 'Cause, no offence or anything, it's a little creepy."-Void
OOC: This is the building where everybody is talking...I'm fairly certain they said HQ.IC-Mussiki:"Well," Mussiki said, "If you look up there you'll see the rest of the ILS listening to the guy in charge, Madrihk," Mussiki mentioned. "They probably figured we ought to listen to what they're talking about."
IC:"You two, shut the Karz up." Trakuda muttered, "You're here because this is a meeting. Try using your ears next time you mindlessly walk into a building."Even he was surprised at how bitter he was today. This wasn't like him. What was wrong with him today...?
OOC: Mild bunnying. Go Trakuda, go!IC: AlfonGlad that everyone had piled into the room due to his little misinterpretation of Madrihk's orders, Alfon stood there, waiting for Madrihk to start talking.
OOC: Sisk and Lashev from Ta-KoroIC:From the north, a Gukko was flying low above the treetops of the Le-Wahi jungle. Sisk was leaning low over the neck of Skyscratcher, with Lashev in the throwers saddle behind him. "We're soon-close to the village!"
IC: [Ril]"Sho drunk."---IC: [Treize]"Well, let's go."OOC: Crew of the Fortune to Ko-Wahi.
OOC: Aryll's not deputy because of the concept of fire-forged brothers. He's done... well, nothing of consequence, really, besides getting shot.
IC: MadrihkSeeing that most appeared to have gathered, Madrihk decided that it was time to speak up. He clapped his hands twice to silence the idle chatter, then smiled confidently through his black Kakama at the group of people in front of him."Greetings, everyone," he said, "and welcome to Pala-Koro. For those of you who I have not had time to speak with in person yet: I am Madrihk, Toa of Ice and leader of the business we have going on here. As you all know, a shadow looms over us, but hopefully it will not for much longer. This group was formed in order to combat Makuta's influence on this island. This group is meant to fight off Rahi and Rahkshi and whatever comes our way, and to take back the island of Mata Nui, one part at a time. This... is the Island Liberation Squad."The Toa of Ice gave a nod towards the door."The village you stand in is the result of our first conquest. We few who first set out on this endeavor did face some trouble: not just Rahi in the jungle, but also the heavenly wrath of Makuta himself! But we survived, and we have created a small sanctuary here. For now, it is safe from roaming Rahi, just like the other villages. In time, this place may grow even bigger. Still, there are threats. Makuta himself is the biggest, but I believe Pala-Koro is no more of a target for him than any of the other villages, at this point in time. That brings us to a smaller - but still very potent - threat as our primary objective: The infernal swarms of Nui-Rama that plague this region. Their hive has stood strong for hundreds of years, and has become a permanent structure. That brings us to the reason you are all here today: we are going to destroy it."The ILS leader held up a rough sketch of the hive."As said, the hive is old. Very old. Unlike fresh nests made out of dirt and plant matter, this one has had time to harden. It is hard as rock, and extends deep underground in addition to the visible part on the surface. The most effective plan might still be to just burn it down, but we can not be certain that the thing will catch on fire right away. It will burn slow. There will also be hive tunnels that we cannot just burn down. We might have to flood those to wash out the insects there. Luckily, we have Toa of all the elements we could need, which means tearing apart the hive will not be hard per se, just time-consuming and exhausting. To make it short, we need to account for two things: the countless infected Rahi that will attack us once disturbed, and the potential of the hive collapsing on top of us.""The Gukko Force has agreed to lend its aid from the air, which will provide a good distraction and counter for the flying enemies. They can also assist in bombarding the hive from outside. Meanwhile, the Ussalry - skilled as they are with tunneling - can target the base of the hive and draw out the Rama there. Everyone else goes in on foot or with whatever methods of flight you possess. Then we have the strike force. This might be the most important group, for they will enter the hive and begin tearing it apart from the inside. I'm thinking earth, fire, plasma, stone and water applied at the very base of the structure, softening it up and breaking it enough for the hive to eventually collapse.""I won't lie to you. This is a dangerous course of action, and I will not force anyone to go through with it. If anyone has any suggestions for improvement, or other useful input, I would be glad to hear it."
IC Alfon / Onyx / VolinAlfon simply stood there quietly, impressed with Madrihk's speech, explanations and plans. As much as he enjoyed having some form of power, being in this guy's shoes would be more than tasking for the joke-filled Toa. Currently, his mind was thinking what he'd be doing for the hive attack: no clue whatsoever. Alfon would have to wait to be assigned a specific task.Meanwhile, Onyx, polite and formal as he was, enjoyed the speech greatly. His job seemed to be providing help from the outside. However for the second oldest of the triplets, this was the first time he had heard they were going to go attack a fricken' Nui-Rama hive. Not to mention this was one of the biggest, oldest and strongest hives around! Why hadn't anyone even bother to broach the topic? Was it a sick and twisted joke? Emotions such as shock, confusion, anger, excitement and others of the sorts welled up inside of him. They churned even faster when he heard that his element of plasma was among the respective elements of those going inside the hive itself. The shank's putting me on a freaking suicide squad!
I.C. Vompran was surprised and pleased at his promotion to deputy. He understood the attack tactics on the Nui Rama hive, he knew that roots were strong enough to break rock, so making an entrance into the hive wouldn't be incredibly tedious. It would certainly be a challenge though. Even more-so while getting attacked by Rama.
OC: I was simply showing off Aryll's superiority complex.
IC: Aryll quietly listened to Madrihk's speech. In his mind, he thought out the tactics that could be employed in such a situation. After examining the map bit by bit, he spoke."Madrihk, my friend, which units are going in first? Will we focus on tunneling below the hive or let the Gukko Force distract the wretched bugs for a while. And I assume we'll be split into individual teams?"IC: Taro wasn't one to sit and wait in the bushes. He was a man of action. Fighting back the small voice that said "NO", he entered the conversation with a couple of rather strong words. "I, Second Lieutenent Tarotrix volunteer my contingent to lead the first wave."
IC:Despite the grin circumstances, Kethrye grinned. The promotion had been a grand gesture, although one Kethrye was only mildly surprised at. Kethrye raised and eyebrow as the Ta-Matoran gaurdmen shouted. So he wants his troops to be the ones sustain the heaviest casualties? Kethrye thought. And for sure, in this battle there will be casualties.
IC-Lashev:Lashev had been in the back of the Gukko, playing around with the disk-launchers and making shooting sounds while he did so, imagining there were Rahkshi and unfriendly Gukko around them. He turned, noticing what Sisk said. He quickly, guiltily drew his hands away from the launchers."I, uh...thanks for the notice," he said lamely.
IC: [Ril]"I SHALL HELP FOR THE LULZ!" shouted the only member of the Ta-Koro Guard Artillery Corps as he stumbled into the conversation. "SUICIDE, HO!"
IC: Taro nervously looked on over to his fellow guards. They nodded in stoic encouragement. Someone had to lead the charge, he assumed they reasoned. Looking over at the Ta-Toa, he couldn't hide his disdain"We'll have both air cover above us and Toa behind us. I believe that we'll be able to fight the rahi long enough for reinforcements to arrive. And I have faith in Mata Nui that we won't take too much casulties."
IC: [Ril]"FOR GREAT JUSTICE FELLOW GUARDSMAN!"
IC: Toranmat rolled across the deck and bumped a matchbox, which slid across the deck. He vomited again, causing him to roll down. "OW OW OW OW OW--" he had scratched the match on deck and knocked it away by accident. It flew and triggered a cannon, which shot the dock. "Erhm..."
IC: [Treize]"Let's just go."OOC: Fortune and crew to Ko-Wahi.
IC:"Can you see-spot the other follow-flying?" Sisk called out to Lashev. From his position, the other Matoran had a good vantage point of the sky around them and whatever was up there. Sisk on the other couldn't turn the focus away from pilot-duty too much - there were treetops to avoid flying into, after all. In the distance, the trees grew in size, a green hill made from foliage rising up ahead and getting closer fast, as they were approaching. This was where Le-Koro was concealed. A weak smile was beginnign to form at the corner of Sisk' mouth. He was glad to be back. But as they got closer to his home, he remembered Kol and Merror, people he had been forced to leave behind and that he hadn't see since. But he would try to find out what happaned to them, eventually.Leaning to the left, he brough Skyscratcher into a gentle arc, to begin their final approach.
IC: MadrihkMadrihk was about to answer Aryll when Ril began his loud ranting."Is he drunk?" he asked plainly. "Either shut him up or toss him outside, someone, before I freeze him quiet. These are important matters, and we have no room for disturbances."Now completely ignoring him, Madrihk resumed where he left off."We will most likely have to split into individual teams, yes. This is a large-scale operation, and leading an army of sorts might be too chaotic compared to smaller groups. Tarotrix, I respect you volunteering to lead the charge, and as you say everyone else will be close behind you. So close, I think, that there won't be much of a lead you have."He smiled confidently."This will not be a suicide mission. Like with any combat, there is the risk of injury or death, but don't think for one second that we will all die pointlessly. Nui-Rama by themselves are not the best fighters. A Toa can easily down one. Their sheer numbers is usually the problem, as some of them strike while the rest serve as the distraction. This time, we shall be distracting them. We are prepared for the attack, and as the Gukko Force has shown before: preparation leads to success. Then we move in to crush the hive once and for all."He looked around at the assembled crew."Speaking of which... someone will have to do that as well. Any volunteers? I was going to lead the attack myself, unless someone with more field experience or demolitions experience wants to. There is also the manner of approach to consider. Take me, for example. If someone punched a hole in the hive, I could use my Kakama to enter in a flash. However, it might possibly be better to use Huna, Volitak or similar masks to sneak past instead. We are here to discuss strategy, so vent your thoughts, everyone, whatever they might be. I want us all to be on the same level here once we finish."
IC: [Ril]"I'm part of the Ta-Koro Guard's Artillery Corps," said Ril, a brief moment of sobriety overcoming him.
NPC: Sanctum Guard Contingent (Pala-Koro)Darrick Bane raised his hand."Sanctum Guard officers train the soldiers under their command to learn how to trigger avalanches, in case of an ambush," said the sergeant. "We use improvised explosives to help start them, and I'm pretty sure we brought some with us, sir."-Teezy
IC: Skyra - Crimson Nova Outpost, Le-koro -"Tillian, why don't we find out if that Vortixx is here...and if he is then kick his ***?"
IC:Trakuda said nothing, just stood twirling his spear in his hands in deep thought.Kahlynn, meanwhile, had turned up at the doorway, also not saying a word. Falling in the lake had sobered him up, although he had a splitting headache.
IC: Tillian (Outside Outpost, Le-Koro)"Sounds good to me," he growled.-Teezy
OOC: Tuxedo Mask from Onu-Wahi IC: Tuxedo Mask - Le-Wahi -Tuxedo Mask emerged from the Onu-Wahi tunnel. He kept on running a good pace, he wasn't gonna stop, no matter how beautiful the scenery, he had to get to Ga-Wahi, he knew his destiny was calling him there....IC: Skyra - Crimson Nova Outpost, Le-koro -"Alright then. Let's go!" Skyra darted toward the Outpost, from the outside it just seemed to be an abandoned Tavern, but the map Skyra had told them otherwise. Skyra leaped through a window was now inside the Outpost.
IC: "If that's the case, then my men can provide extra protection for our Ko-Koran comrades," Tarotrix said.
IC-Lashev:"About ten bio behind us," Lashev said, waving to Lans and Verdi. "They'll catch up rather soon." He turned back around towards Sisk."Would you believe me if I told you this is the first time I've been to Le-Koro?" He asked the Le-Matoran.
I.C. Vompran"If we break a hole into the hive it should obviously be near the foundation-bottom of the hive so it will topple onto itself. We only need to actually destroy-break half of the base in order to make it fall. I suppose anyone with a destructive element could work on demolishing the lower hive, while someone with a stealthy element, like you said, could sneak inside and do some damage on the Rama. The only major problem with that plan is knowing how to warn anyone inside that the hive is about to fall." "Another matter, is how to keep the Rama from build-making a new hive."
IC:"It took the Rama years to build this hive. It's been developed and added to over the years. If they built a new one, we'd just tear it down, because they wouldn't have time to amass the numbers or resources to build one of the same size as this one." Trakuda growled from his seat, still fiddling with his spear.
IC:Sisk just shook his head. "How can anybody not have come-visited beautiful green-bright Le-Koro?" he asked. He gently pulled on the Gukko's reigns and Skyscratcher slowed his descent, as thy sank past the treetops and below them. Ahead, there was a long clearing, not visible from above, due to the thick crowns of the jungle, that ended at the largest pad in Le-Koro: The Gukko-Force HQ.Sisk spotted one of the ground-crew, he was waving a pair of short red flags, signaling them. Sisk knew the sign, it meant they were cleared to land. He smiled. It had been months since he had last been home. More gliding than actively flying, Skyscratcher descended the last hundred meters. The Le-Matoran leaned back in the saddle again and the bird reacted, throwing his wings forward, bringing them to a halt before gently landing on the pad. "Well, it's high-time you visit-saw it then." Sisk told Lashev, before hopping out of his saddle. ------------------------------Rhow looked at the Le-Matoran that had just spoken up behind them. Then she looked at Iraanus, eyebrows raised, before turning back to the small figure in front of them. "What do you mean, taken by the darkness? More Rahkshi?""You fought the Rahkshi?" Leah asked. Rhow shook her head. "No, just saw 'em. Didn't even know what they were until later - it still doesn't make much sense to me. Nothing on the rock seems to."Leah sighed. "We heard of Rahkshi attacking Po-Koro...but to have them here, in Le-Koro...and now the Turaga is gone as well. Dark clouds are coming." she said, her eyes drifting to the side, towards the jungle. She studied the trees with a throughful expression.Rhow didn't react much. She wasn't sure, but it seemed the majority of the islanders was talking in riddles. "Just tell me what's happened to the Turaga?" she asked.Leah turned back towards her. "He was abducted. I don't know how. But we know it was the Makuta, or one of his servants."Rhow's eyes narrowed. "Makuta..." she growled. She glanced at Iraanus. "That is an old name...a very hated name."
IC: "Taken?" Iraanus scoffed. "Don't they teach your guards how to, you know, stop people from doing stuff like that?" He rolled his eyes, then became more serious. "And what is this 'darkness' of which you speak?" he asked, glancing at Rhow. Was this "darkness" the same force that had killed the Ta-Matoran, or something...else?OOC: Ninja'd. Editing.IC: "That it is," Iraanus agreed. He narrowed his eyes in thought, analyzing the Makuta's actions and their implications. "I think it would be safe to say Makuta himself has not been here. Not that that tells us much, but I'd think that he wouldn't send his minions to do his dirty work one day and crawl out of his hole to do it himself the next." He fingered his spear as though itching to drive it through the evil one's heart.
IC:"Agreed." Rhow said. "Are there other elders we could talk to?" Leah shook her head slowly. "There are, but Matau was not the only one. As far as I know, only Vakama and Nuju remain."The Skakdi looked at Iraanus. "You know those names?" The Le-Matoran was looking incredulous. "You do not know their names? Where are you two from, anyhow?"
IC: Lans"YEEHAAAAAAAA," Lans yelled in joy as his Kahu soared above the treetops of Le-Wahi. The majestic creatures wings leaving behind it's signature trail of green energy. Claw-Wing, much like Lans himself, was elated to be back in Le-Wahi. Back home. After all these problems, it feels nice to be back home, if only for a little while. Now comes the tricky part, getting my Squadron approved by Kongu, and avoiding getting a medal for defeating the Rahkshi. I also hope their is no disciplinary action for me going MIA for so long. Of, course I could argue that the circumstances demanded it. That's what the big shots say right. Gah, who am I quick-fooling, I'm in a Karz load of trouble. Hopefully Sisk will be better with words than me. All I can do is regurgitate the words of others. I'm not cut out to be a leader, and I bet command will see right through me. A troubled Lans then touched down on the runway, bracing for the swarm of Matoran once they realized just who he was.
IC: Plagia - HQ BuildingPlagia raised an eyebrow at Madrihk's speech, "Well, that's certainly a plan..."She turned back to Mussiki and the others, "So, are we headed into the hive?"-Void
IC: [Ril]"So, we're KILLING IT WITH FIRE?"
IC: Volin"Despite not wanting to go on the suicide squad this shank's put me on" Volin began, stepping forward and clearing his throat to gain attention. "I'm gonnna hafta volunteer to go inside. My element would probably be one of our best bets of success once we get inside.""So what say you, cap'n?"OOC: Have Onyx be a distraction on the outside. Do what you want with Alfon.
IC, Verdi: "Woo!" cried Verdi. "That was fun! Let's do it again!"
