OOC: Didn't Kat will the wall away?
IC: Zex
I looked around.
"WHERE IS THAT KARZ HEAD WHO BLOCKED THE DOOR!"
IC: Sidonas - Courtyard
Sidonas, impatient and tired, sat there and waited for Death to copy his Codex, which he hadn't done at the moment.
OOC: What are you talking about?
IC: Zex
I looked around for anybody.
"Anybody want to fight?" I said as I spun Assasinator.
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
Having been stuck in the gym the entire time, we were now glad to see numerous opponents barge in, seemingly intent on interfering in Xara's fight. I'd seen enough of Vaalku to know he was obnoxious, and if Xara was set on chopping him to pieces, I wasn't going to get in her way.
"We blocked the door!" I bellowed. "Come and get us!"
IC - Gym
Quickly bring your forearm up to block!
Right Straight
You can take this! Your elasticity takes care of any possible damage to your faceplate
Left Hook
Karzdamn, that was a good one to the jaw, but you gotta be ready for her next-
Right Uppercut
KICK !
Caoutchouc interrupted the combo, it was classic fighting game tactics to wait for the opponent to activate a long combo. As they were stuck in the movements animation, you waited for a certain frame second and executed a grab and throw!
IC: Death
"I'll copy it myself. I don't want you editing it."
IC: Sidonas - Courtyard
Sidonas, hearing Death's reply, said: "Fine. Hurry it up." Sidonas said this sternly, he was tired, and tired of this. He just wanted them to keep their information so he could go to sleep and plan.
I should probably head for the Cauldron while everyone is asleep, assuming that everyone will be asleep at the same time, that is.
Sidonas was thinking, thinking about talking to the Nynrah on matters of food.
I could make peace with the ghosts and get my supplies at the same time! And since I had nothing to do with the events that led to their hostility and used to buy a lot from them, they should be more open, right? For my sake I hope I am right..
Sidonas had had enough of it all, he wanted to pull a prank and it went wrong, he hoped that eventually he would be considered more of an inventor than a thief.
Maybe he should just steal from other people....
But not the ghosts, they had done him no wrong.
Hopefully it will stay that way..
OOC: What are you talking about?
IC: Zex
I looked around for anybody.
"Anybody want to fight?" I said as I spun Assasinator.
OOC: Assumed Death was copying the Codex. Need me to edit?
IC: Zex
I looked at Valkuu and Xara who were fighting at a close proximity to the door.
"Please fight away from the door. I don't want to be tangled up in your mess."
I looked at the yelling rahkshi (Silencer). I picked up Assasinator.
"Lets rumble."
I ran up to the rahkshi and tried to stab him (Silencer) with Assasinator which I currently charged with electricity.
OOC: Weren't they fighting at the door? Also Sidonas please edit it. Also is illusive there?
OOC: Can you please limit OOC stuff to the Student Register?
IC: Bullseye and Alpha /1st Person, Bullseye's POV/Gym
I just returned to see battles break out everywhere. Alpha just stood there, looking at me.
"Does this-"
"Almost all the time...I'll just go read in the library."
Alpha obviously didn't want to get involved so she followed me as well.
IC Kat:
whoomph
The throw sent me sprawling, but I quickly flipped back over onto my feet, skidding to a stop, and dropping into a defensive stance, my left arm up, covering my face, my right arm down, covering my stomach and sides.
Feet spaced, I was as stable as one could be. Breathing was slightly fast, heart was roaring in my ears.
god, I felt alive.
OOC: Yes, Illusive is there; that's why I used the word "we" in Silencer's post.
IC: The Twins (Illusive) - Gym.
Silencer used the head of his mace to block the knife blow and cried out, apparently getting an electric shock of some kind. But he provided all the distraction I needed to fire my net gun at his attacker.
I was behind him; he'd never see it coming, and at this range, there was no way for me to miss...
OOC: What is this net made of.
IC: Zex
A net got me from behind.
"Karz. He said 'we'. I should have known."
I fell over. The net was thick so it didn't tangle around me so I took it off and threw it aside. Then I imagined water filling up the room. As the water poured I dipped Assasinator in the water which would electrocute all standing in it.
"A two versus one?"
IC: Fang - Outside Gym
Fang glared at Caoutchouc as he walked out of the Gym and began battling Kat. He still wanted a rematch with the Elastic Rahkshi, but now was not the time.
Though Caoutchouc was turning away Kat's wrath, Fang couldn't help feeling a little jealous. He had challenged her. She was ready to fight him, but now she was off fighting someone else.
What's wrong with me, envying another Rahkshi for his pain?
He tried to push the thought out of his mind and focus on Xara and Vaalku. As of now, it was an even fight, and both were showing wounds. As long as it contained no threat of death, he would not interfere. Perhaps this fight would prevent further conflict, and Vaalku will learn a lesson he could not with words.
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
Having just been electrocuted, I knew exactly what he was trying to do, and imagined a series of stone pillars growing up out of the floor, including beneath myself and Illusive. "Two versus one." I agreed, swinging my flail down at him. At the same time, Illusive projected an illusion of himself right in front of our opponent to hopefully blind and distract him.
IC: Zex
I noticed both rahkshi being lifted up by pillars so suddenly seeing one of them in front of me didn't make sense to me.
I back stepped to see a mace land down were I was standing. I grabbed the chain and electrocuted it with Assasinator.
OOC: Assassinator can do it immediately as it goes into the body. You'll need to put in a lot of volts normally to do those effects like what Xara did to Stronghold.
IC: Discord/1st Person/Gym
I stood there. Waiting. Still in the process of trying to poke him. I didn't touch him yet, but I will soon. Soon. Soon.
OOC: Timageness.
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
Except he couldn't grab it, because I'd swung it at him, and since it had missed, it's momentum carried it on past him. I tugged on the chain, and it looped back into my waiting hand. With my free hand, I made a quick sign to Illusive: lights out.
With that, I activated Legion, shrouding the area around us in pitch darkness.
IC - Outside Gym
DO IT, you need to push the attack!
Now she was backing into a defensive position, I hadn't collected quite enough data to push the attack....
Okay then, offense time! The fear rahk wasn't the type to be toyed with, I needed quick and decisive power. My mind flipped through countless pages of text, searching... searching.. searching... match found.
Self Destructive Internal Art
Bajiquan, more specifically ; Super Bajiquan
It is a style designed to damage the inside, rather than the outside. In one of my favorite fight scenes, a dying man is able to effortlessly crush a Fe-Toa that had turned his body to swords, damaging the delicate and squishy insides, even as his hands were shredded to ribbons.
I put my left foot in position and spring forward, rubbery body storing and releasing energy. My chosen first move is similar to the famed "Scholar's Mate" in chess. Four moves, innocuous and non-suspicious on their own. Combined with deadly effect.
Though of course, I do not aim to kill.
Movement - Complete
Move one ; An explosive lunge
Movement - Pending
Move two ; Grab their wrist, pull them towards me
Movement - Pending ; Amendment, non fatal force is applied
Move three ; Slam my elbow into their torso, targets are the heart and lungs
Movement - Pending
Move four ; Finish the grab, kicking their legs out from under their body and putting them on the ground
IC: Zex
The area became dark. They must have created some kind of darkness field.
Then I realized that they would not be able to see what I was doing. I willed the pillars and floor to turn into metal and attempted to electrocute them. They couldn't see me so they wouldn't know what was happening.
IC Kat:
I held my ground, as he lunged, waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.
His arm shot forward.
I leapt, tucking my legs to flip over, simultaneously reaching out to try and grab his now extended arm, following through to throw him hard against the ground as I landed square on my feet.
With a little luck, he'd be off balance enough from missing his grab that I could use his weight as extra leverage in putting him into the floor.
IC: Healing Rider was not too tricky, but a bit of extra effort was needed to clean the congealing fluids that were crusting his eye-sockets. Otherwise they'd end up causing infection, as well as blocking his sight.
"They'll be a bit raw for the next few days. Maybe longer. I'm not sure how well they'll work until they've properly acclimatised and you've properly adjusted. I'd stay away from bright lights. Well, more than usual anyway."
IC - Outside Gym
His fancy moves hadn't worked and now he was on the ground, tangled up.
Luckily, his bag of holding contained many things. Chessboards, chess pieces, books, Faithful and of course, old faithful - sand. From his position on the floor, Caoutchouc readied a fist full of the coarse material and tossed it into the fear rahk's face before performing a lunging tackle, this time with little pretense of technique. Phase two of the fight was gonna be a down and dirty bar brawl.
IC Kat:
My satisfaction was short lived, as he threw....
Sand? In my face.
Where the karz had he kept that?!
I staggered back, trying to clear my eyes, and suddenly became horizontal.
He'd tackled me.
Instinct kicked in, and my arms covered my face and torso, as I tucked my head down, blinking furiously trying to clear my vision.
IC: Solar Plexus?
Cao, buddy, c'mon.
Go easy on the poor girl. That's just mean. Even with an elbow.
I mean, me personally, I'd hit it with a knee from the Thai clinch, so I guess I shouldn't be talking, but y'know.
Principle of the thing. Speaking of, I exhaled sternly as the air from my tight core allowed one final push up against the 3 plate-laden barbell on my back.
"Hey, Goldie? What set'm I on again?" I asked my laconic gym-buddy as we both watched our non-laconic gym-buddy throw down in a now schoolyard brawl.
Ooh, the Pocket Sand. C definitely ain't playin' nice with this one.
IC - Outside Gym
Hands were no match for a fierce headbutt, aimed at her own noggin. Of course, this movement wasn't initiated without a sidelong glance at the paltry 140 kilos on The Snake-Faced Kid's back.
"You thought he was dead, that your brother had been killed? No. He stands here, in the very shadow of the man you came to defeat."
IC: The Twins (Illusive) - Gym.
The moment that things had gone dark, Silencer and I had started jumping to different pillars. I landed on one somewhere to the left of where I'd originally been, and felt an odd tingling sensation in my feet. It took me a moment to piece things together in my mind. The surface of the pillar felt different.... metallic? And I couldn't hear any more splashing down below.
He'd turned the floor and pillars into metal and was trying to electrocute them! It was a cute trick, and if he was at a higher level, it might have actually done something effective. As it was, trying to zap so much surface area with such a low-level ability meant that all I really felt was a light tickle.
He'd have to try a little harder than that next time.
Suddenly, sound vanished. Silencer was nearby, surrounding the three of us in his silence field; it was my cue to make a move.
IC Kat:
whack
I saw stars explode in front of what vision I'd regained, and my eyes watered. At least I'd get the sand out.
His head's rubber nature did little to soften the blow.
I drew my legs up to my chest, and kicked out, trying to push him off and roll away to regain my feet.
IC: Fang - Outside Gym
Fang stepped forward as Kat hit the ground, but managed to restrain himself. It was just a practice fight. He had been ready to initiate one himself. But Caoutchouc claimed to be a fair fighter, and now he was throwing sand around. Someone should step in. He should step in.
Vaalku could be dragged into the Infirmary in a (living) scrap heap for all he cared, but no one hurts Kat.
IC: Hoto - Dorms
Hoto heard the empty wing long before she arrived. Or rather, she didn't hear it. Her audio receptors searched around for rustling, or light snoring, or anything she would expect from a Dorm wing, but she only caught echoes from other parts of the school. She couldn't remember if she had ever been somewhere this quiet. It was calming and unnerving at the same time.
She stopped and reluctantly dropped Jayar's hand to stand a short distance from him. "This is perfect. No distractions; Just you, me, and the echoes. Now, what do you hear?"
IC:
Bro I just got back from snap city
bro not cool
IC: Zex
Sound and sight vanished as if I stabbed myself with Assasinator.
I started running around to prevent from being hit by anything they would throw at me. I made sure to keep quiet by willing the floor to be covered in soft grass to not give them any idea where I would be. Eventually I ran out of what seemed to be a field of darkness.
I stood ready, waiting for attacks coming from the darkness.
IC - Outside Gym
Caoutchouc caught one leg with his gut, the other between his arm and torso.
Urhg...
Stray thoughts crossed his mind, for example. Were rahkshi susceptible to tickling? And how would Fang feel about the rolling-on-the-ground-tickling nature of their fight?
IC: The Twins (Silencer) - Gym.
After taking a few moments to get into a new position, I returned light to the surrounding area, only to see that our quarry had moved away from Legion's field of effect. I jumped down off the pillar, which dissolved behind me, the gym resetting to its default form as I moved to stand beside Illusive, who stood stock-still, weapon at the ready.
IC: Zex - Gym
The field of darkness was gone.
"Hmm."
I stood waiting for an attack. While thinking over their abilities and possible combat strategies against them.
IC: Pyre - Gym
Pyre got bored of sleeping. He went to the gym to find out that it was opened. He entered to see two rahkshi fighting against one. I ran up took out my scythes.
"2 against one isn't fair. Make it a 2 versus 2."
IC: Jayar / Empty Dorm Wing
What do you hear?
There was little to be heard. First and most obvious in the quiet of the empty halls was his own breathing and heartbeat. "My own breath..." He cast his auditory gaze outwards, listening intently for the same telltale signs of life but in miniscule volume... "Yours..."
From further away came the sounds of some raucous affair, in the direction of the Gym perhaps? "Something from near the Gym, sounds like fighting, big surprise..." He listened intently to the distant noises, unable to discern anything. "In the distance are other noises, to faint to properly describe... Well, for me at least."
IC: Discord/1st Person/Gym
I withdrew my hand and turned off my power. He wasn't worth destroying now. I would kill him later in a place more advantageous for me. And besides the fact that he was creepily standing there really just...he was mocking me. I didn't want to touch him anymore. I turned to Zex. Good 'ol Zex. He was a cool guy but he didn't deserve to lose to cheap tactics like that ability to summon darkness or whatever they did. I ran to the armory and pulled a pair of katanas that probably wouldn't last long when I activate my powers. I put them on my back and grabbed a two small axes. By the time I got out a second Rahkshi was there. But since I already picked up the weapons, might as well commit.
They wouldn't notice me because of the field of silence. I walked around and created training dummies. I began hacking them to bits as a cover to walk beside the two who actually looked a bit similar. I immediately threw a well-aimed ax at one of them from behind. He would never know what hit him.
OOC: He threw an axe at Illusive.
IC Kat:
I scrambled to my feet, wiping my eyes as best I could.
Vision: blurry, but workable.
head: still sore from that headbutt
everything else: A-okay, all systems go, boss.
I doubt I can beat this guy straight on, he's more experienced.
I'll have to get a little imaginative.
I charged him, looking for all the world like I was simply going to plow straight into him.
Until the last moment, when I dove, rolling right under him, coming up behind him, and launching a wicked elbow at his back.
Rain finally managed to pick out Squid from among the scrap piles and rolled her eyes. All this time, she thought he'd been working, and he'd fallen asleep?
She shifted her load of paint cans in the entry way and signalled him out with her head. "If you're done sleeping, could you give me a hand with this?"
IC: Squid
Squid smiled.
"Of course! I'm always willing to help."
OOC: Ugh, you ruined my plan!
IC: The Twins (Illusive) - Gym.
I saw the axe fly through the illusion of my standing next to Silencer, and cursed, my cover blown. Stepping out from behind the piece of reshaped gym I was sheltering behind, I threw myself at Zex from the side, stabbing at him with Serpent-Fang.
Silencer, meanwhile, was charging at Pyre, ignoring the interfering axe-thrower in favour of taking on the bigger threat.
IC: Discord/1st Person/Gym
It was an illusion. Cheap, but effective. Now I knew both powers, but not their weapons. I took the other axe and waited for an opening.
IC: Rain - Cauldron
"I sure hope so. It's your room after all," she said as Squid approached and she dumped the assorted paint cans and panels into his arms. She would have plenty to carry without that armload from everything stacked or hung wherever it could fit on her armor.
"Now, let's get this back to the Academy and get started, shall we? Gears over there can come along if he wants to weld." She gestured to Clockwork.
