  • OOC: really? really? You enjoy giving me more freaking work...Not gonna bite. Much.ICI couldn't help but give a pleased look. Despite her piercing vocabulary she had a keen interest me... or at least my past and recent adventure. Her constantly smiling face and pleasent demeanor helped smooth over the constant verbal jabs as well. Speaking in exciting tones I began to recount tales of my seclusion, my hands animated as I described some of the harrowing adventures. My first story was how I happened upon my current locale, after spending days wandering in the marshy, delta jungle. It was been cold, wet, and unusually rainy for that time of year, and I was out of food with no shelter. At that point I was ready to give up when I noticed something in the underbrush behind me. Already exhausted, starving, and beginning to hallucinate I booked, fearing for my life. No matter which direction I turned however, the creature was still right behind me. I do not know how long I tried to flee, but I felt as though I was being herded in a certain direction, quite possibly its lair and certain doom. Eventually my legs gave out and I simply gave up, curling under a large tree miraculously provided cover from the storm. When I awoke not only did I find myself in this picture-perfect lagoon, but the plants nearby had an over-abundance of fruit and other food. Had I gone one more day I would have died; suffice to say I was convinced had I not been chased by that creature I would not have found that place.I told another story about how when I was building my house a lost Tarakava wandered upriver, clearly injured, hungry, and willing to hunt anything that moved, even Matoran. I dived into the underbrush in order to evade the beast and get my weapons, but as I crawled I could hear sounds that could only be that of battle. When I returned a few minutes later it was gone, not to be seen or heard of again. In fact I had several of these stories, these mysterious and silent protector encounters, all of which I had no conclusions. These "encounters" grew less and less the more I learned to survive, but the memory of those events were still clearly ingrained in my head.I may not have been the best storyteller, but I did listen closely to Turaga Vakama when I was younger, so I knew a thing or two on how to present a tale. She rarely asked questions, quietly trasfixed by my tales as we walked, clearly mesmerized at my stories. The way she strode next to me, batted that occasional eyelash, her fluid laugh... she was attractive. There was a lull in the conversation as we passed under a rather large tree, one that stretched far over the now-large river. The shade it provided felt nice under the growing sun, the humidity rising as fast as the sun was. As I looked up I noticed something in its branches...Hesitating a half-step I let her pass right in front of me before I dashed to the left, sprinting with strides powerful enough that allowed me to walk several steps up the massive trunk before pushing off, grabbing a nearby branch with a single hand. As I hung there, is used my free arm to manipulate my staff, taking the cradle end of it and reaching high into the branches. After a moment of mind-over-muscle I felt the cup give way, mission successful. Dropping to the ground below I impressively landed right next to her, slowly standing up after having my knees absorb most of the impact. "Let's try this again... "Reaching into the cradle I pulled out a bright yellow flower, this time of much different design. The stamens were long and whisker-like, protruding from the center, and the petals had blue designs naturally inked all over them. Taking the time to smell, I beamed a brilliant smile. "Forgive me for my ineptitude last time. May I?" Putting away the staff I stode up to her, gently placing the flower on the side of her mask, right above the audio receptor. I took a step back, placing her within a set of frames made by my fingers, the backdrop the river and trees beyond. My eyes confirmed my next statement."Doll, you're picture-perfect. The other one didn't look nearly as good on you as this one does."

  • OOC: Giving you work is fun, Tuck. I'm just so good at it.IC-Naria:Naria smiled as Joske put the flower above her 'ear-'It was much nicer than the other. Sure, the other didn't smell that-bad, but her, she got a kick out of messing with the Ta-Matoran. He just made it too easy, really. "Good to know," she said to him, before moving over by the tree and sitting down, watching some of the birds flying in the air as she thought. She wondered just what had happened to make the Great Beings smile on her in such as way as to introduce her to this delightful Matoran. After quite a while of just walking on, alone, she finally, finally had somebody she could at least speak to, without the conversation ending in about two-or-three minutes. And, truth be told, he was pretty good looking...She shook her head, laughing at the thought, though Joske would most likely mistake it for the antics of the birds right across them along the trail. She grabbed a small bag of strawberry-like fruits she'd found along the way, setting it beside her, open, inviting Joske to come and sit with her for a slight lunch. She furrowed her brow thoughtfully as he came and sat beside her."You certainly seem lucky to have that 'protector' of yours running around," she said after a moment. "When was the last time you had any indication he was here-Besides today, I mean."OOC: Is that better, mate?

  • IC: Gravity"Neat, huh?" I said, relaxing back into the chair.I found that the less I thought about something, the easier it was to keep my mouth shut. So, I thought about nothing, and it wasn't that hard. Sorta.OOC: So, I guess I'm starting this off?IC: Embok (Near Ga-Koro)The yellow armored being stood facing the village of water, arms crossed. Around him, the waves beat against the shore. The Toa of Plasma stood perfectly still, almost as if he was carved from stone. A faint purple glow came off of the being as he relaxed his hold over his elemental power, giving him the air of an illusion. As real as a thought or dream. Two ice blue eyes gazed out over the sea from under his Kanohi. The warrior's mind was blank, thinking of nothing, as well as everything. Embok came to this spot often, to rid himself of the hot temper that came with being a Toa of Plasma. It wasn't always easy, but it worked.Long ago, his temper had almost gotten himself along with many of his friends killed. Ever since that day, Embok went to great lengths to calm himself; to remain detached from everything.

  • IC: Several NPCs/Brukin"Come on, we've gotta keep moving!"A group of beings moved swiftly down an alleyway, really just a passage between two homes, glancing behind them every few minutes. All carried at least one small sack each. Clinking sounds could be heard from within these sacks, as if they were filled with metal. Which they were. Metal and other precious items, to be exact. They turned a corner, and stopped short. Standing in front of them was what appeared to be a massive statue, towering over them. Except it wasn't a statue. "I'm going to give you one chance to stop what you are doing, and turn yourselves in."One of the beings, a Toa, sneered. "And what are you gonna do, mountain-man? Sit on me?" With a laugh, he drew a knife, and threw it straight at the massive beings chest. With the Toa's Sanok, there was no chance of it missing. The knife clattered to the ground. Brukin stared at the Toa who threw it. The Toa's face was rapidly going white. "Well, it looks like you won't be taking my offer, now will you?" Brukin propelled himself forward with a Pakari-enhanced lunge, and grabbed the Toa. In one movement, he swung him, and smacked his head against the wall. Brukin dropped the now-unconscious Toa o the ground. "Now, what about the rest of you?"

  • IC: EmbokThe Toa of Plasma sighed, and moved. The sudden movement seemed out of place, as well as completely normal. Embok extended his arms outward, and suddenly floated into the air; propelled by an updraft. He manipulated his power some more, and floated casually towards the village; his feet inches from the water below.A few matoran pointed to the display of elemental control, while the ones that knew him just waved. The Toa dropped silently to one of the many platforms that made up Ga-Koro, and was greeted by a turquoise armored Ga-Matoran."Embok! Where did you go? You just disappeared again!" She said to him, bouncing up and down with each word. The Toa of Plasma almost smiled. "Hello, Nei. Yes, I needed some time to myself for a while," he explained, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder to calm her down."Oh, Ok..." Nei said, satisfied with the answer. "Just warn me next time."Embok nodded, and set off towards the center of the Koro with Nei trailing behind him; occasinally asking questions such as: "Where are we going?" "What did you do?" "Are you Ok?". The Toa of Plasma usually just answered with a few short words. He enjoyed the Ga-Matoran's company, even if he wouldn't admit it.OOC: I spot a new character ahead... :PIC: Gravity"I thought so, too," I said, still trying to keep my mind blank. Now it was getting a bit harder to do.

  • IC: Embok and Nei (NPC for now...)The Toa of Plasma suddenly stopped, and Nei bumped into him. "What's wro-" she started to say, only to be silenced by Embok. His eyes narrowed, and the scope on his Kanohi spun as he seached for something. He had heard something up ahead, something that worried him. "Stay here," he told Nei, silencing her protests with a look.Embok set off at a run towards an ally way not to far away. He had thought he heard the sounds of battle, generally not a good thing. The Toa of Plasma rounded the corner, both Proto Pitons out and held ready. He stopped, and scanned the area.It seemed a gang of various beings was squaring off against two Toa. Embok knew who the gang of beings were, they caused trouble on a regulare basis and Embok had to beat sense into them on a regulare basis. But he didn't know who other two Toa were. Hoping they were allies, he took a step closer to the gang."Thrak," He said, adressing the Skakdi leader of the gang, "Leave. Now."

  • NPC IC (Unknown):The Toa of Sonics stepped over the unconscious Tarakava and it's mask and crouched behind a bush. Something didn't want him to be here, and it wasn't the beings he was spying on. Speaking of which, they seemed to have gotten themselves into a fight already. Fortunately, it was not without reason, but it seemed they weren't ready yet, if they were the ones the prophecy spoke of.Ever present but never seen, the Toa mimicked the sound he controlled eerily well, even without his Huna activated, as it was now. He kept in the same position, silent and still, like a Muaka preparing to pounce.

"No," he said simply. What Thrak didn't realise is that Embok had used his small speech to get closer to the Skakdi of Fire. Close enough for him to put his Proto Pitons to good use.Embok flicked his wrists, and the two weapons hooked themselves around Thrak's arms.
