  • OOC: I would do that, but frankly, I'm beyond terrible at chess.IC: Catacombs"I'm afraid not, Raxa." Onyx said with a sigh, standing up to reveal his true height. He was a monstrous, completely armored colossus, looking as if his Pakari barely even added to his strength. "And so it begins." With this, he gestured, and Halion, Raveian, and Luncora moved foward. Halion sprang at Gravity, twirling his nine-section whip with one hand, and using a hooksword with his other. As he moved, he whispered terrifying snipets of Hajia's torture, revealing how she screamed and pleaded for mercy. Luncora grinned at Raxa, showing no sign of wanting to make the first move.Raveian shot a sonic arrow at the area where Kirian stood, sending the Toa of Ice rolling out of the way in the nick of time. From there, they went into a flurry of arrows, both of them firing at least a dozen in little more than a moment. Two skakdi, three Vortixx, and a Toa sprang at hound in a flurry of spears, swords, and axe blades. Hound snapped the spines of two of them, and then moved on to deal with the four others. The other six, four Skakdi, one Vortixx, and a heavily armored Plasma Toa ran at Tirus and Tajeh. One of the Skakdi, holding a crossbow, fired a bolt a Tirus, and a Vortixx with a halberd charged Tajeh.

  • IC(Tajeh): Halberd, close the distance. Tajeh ran towards the Vortixx and hit the ground, sliding like he did earlier, his shield covering his body and his sword out to the side. He slid right underneath the handle of the halberd, allowing Tajeh to pop it up with his shield as he slowed down.

  • IC: GravityEverything else seemed to slow as Halion sprang at me. Karz that guy was fast! I dropped low, and sprang to the side as the Toa of Air went past. As he went by, I slashed across his midsection with my sword, using my momentum to enhance the strike.I had learned since the last time I battle him, and so I employed new tactics. One was the fact that my jump had brought me closer to Hajia, something that only a few would notice.

  • IC: CatacombsWith the suddeness only found in teleportation, Halion dissapeared, dodging the slash, only to reappear behind behind Hajia, his sword's hook at her throat. Hajia looked slightly conscious, her eyes staring out at the room with a lack of comprehension. It was a very large possibility that blindness, or brain damage, had occured from her torture. As Gravity observed Halion and Hajia, he would notice that Sinina had dissapeared as well, no signs of the Toa of Lightning visible. "Oh, it's nice and quiet. Save for the screams. The only thing I dislike is the constant smell of death and rot, but then again, it serves as a reminder to what our fate will be if we become incompetent. Keeps us on our toes, in other words." He said in an equally conversational tone. Tajeh's move was an unexpected one. The Vortixx, shocked by the Matoran's offensive, only managed to pull out his dagger, blocking Tajeh's sword with it one hand, still holding onto the halberd with the other.Tirus, with surprising speed, absorbed the steel tip of the bolt, letting the wooden stick slam into his hand before throwing it, activating his mask as he did so, sending it through the Skakdi's eye and out the back of his skull in a display of gore. Unfazed, the Fe-Toa ran foward to engage a Flame-bladed Skakdi, swinging his war-hammer with enough strength to crush a ribcage.Hound, having already dispatched two Skakdi and the Toa, turned to the remaining Vortixx, who warily drew his sword, only to find it crushed in Hound's fist before he completed drawing it. With a startled yelp, the Vortixx tried to back away, only to find him self grabbed by the leg and slammed into the cieling, his neck snapping from the impact.

  • IC: GravityI was about to run after the Toa of Air untill I realised what was going on. Hajia. I couldn't make any obvious moves against the Toa of Air."Don't you dare touch her again, Brakas," I said, feeling my rage grow inside me once again. I struggled to control it, fighting angry was a sure way to get yourself killed. But, already I was forming a plan to get Halion away from Hajia. It involved a fair amount of consentration and a lot of elemental energy.

OOC: Naru and Zauk from Po-Wahi.IC: ZaukZauk found walking underground through the dark-ish caves of Onu-Wahi much preferable to traveling by boat. Mata Nui, it just made him seasick just by thinking about it.Thankfully, the path from Po-Wahi to Ta-Wahi was pretty straight forward. Just keep on the same tunnel and you'll eventually find yourself in the volcanic area of the island. Pretty simple. At this time the two Toa were about half-way through the tunnel, amd with the lightstones providing constant light it made for an easy journey.

IC: Naru (Tunnels)"You don't know any cave-dwelling Rahi, do you?" Naru suddenly blurted out, breaking the silence that had encompassed the Toa for the past few minutes."I can draw upon the power of any land-based Rahi in this place, but as Turaga Nuju told me the effect is stronger when the Rahi I use matches the environment better. I realize now that I should have spent more time in each of the island's regions, for I only really know the Rahi of Ta- and Po-Wahi."

It really didn't appeal to me then, hunting in a bunch of dark tunnels."Zauk shrugged, before adding, "We might run into a rahi though. One thing that I learned is that if you look in the right places you're bound to find something eventually. An Arthron might make it easier, but where's the fun in that, eh?"

OOC: I do; I pitched a list to Nuju some months back. Too bad as good as everything went off that list because most listed Rahi abilities are either too powerful, related to Metru Nui and other lands, "silly" (flaming hair on non-haired Toa) or not "powers" per se (such as natural strength). No cave-related Rahi was left on the lift, and there weren't many to begin with. So yeah, just making conversation. :PIC: Naru"Always fun to not see what jumps at you from the darkness," Naru said, tellingly using a portion of her Plasma power to illuminate the path a good distance ahead. The sizzling of ionized gas briefly flashed through the tunnel before vanishing just as quickly. The air was left slightly heated and somewhat smelly from the burst."Ah, sorry," the female Toa mumbled. "I forgot that plasma - like fire - tends to consume and otherwise affect the air where it's used, and not everyone likes the feel of what's left. I bet you've felt it in Ta-Koro; minus the trace of plasma smell."

  • IC: Catacombs"No touch...? Alrighty then." Halion said with a smirk, creating a sphere of vacuum around Hajia's head. The Ga-Toa snapped awake, her eyes wide as she struggled in her bonds, panicked beyond consolation. The Hooksword's edge still remained on her throat, drawing blood as she flailed.Tajeh's sword failed to make contact the first of the two wild swings, but the third met flesh, causing the Vortixx to grunt as he slammed the hilt of his dagger against Tajeh's shield in hopes of stunning him. Tirus ran forward to help Tajeh, creating a throwing knife with his elemental powers.Luncora smiled slightly. "I'm afraid I've been given an order. Combat can not be avoided." Pausing, he grasped his Zweihander and twirled it. "Speaking of chess, White always goes first." He said, gesturing at Raxa.Hound, adrenaline pumping through his veins, skewered the Toa of Plasma, his spear shattering the armor as if it were glass. As Hound ripped his spear out, a trail of blood following the blade's exit, the two remaining beings moved away, terrified of the enraged Denuian. In the corner, Kirian and Raveian's battle neared its climax, Kirian having generated a burst of cold, effectively putting Raveian in a state resembling extreme frostbite. As the bewildered Toa of Sonics attempted to move away, Kirian shot forward, grabbing the De-Toa's arm and snapping it off with the ease of snapping a twig.

  • IC: GravityWhich pretty much did it for me.I focused, and suddenly Halion would find his arms being pushed out and away from Hajia, preventing further harm by his hook-sword. At the same time, I sent massive blast of gravitic energy at him, with the expected outcome of him flying to the back wall at incredible speeds. I tried to leave no time for him to focus to activate his Kanohi, as well as destroy his focus on the small vacuum. It may have put a huge dent in my elemental energy, but I hoped it was worth it.

  • IC-Raxa:"Very well," Raxa said, hefting his own war hammer, and creating a shield of hardened crystal for protection. He then began to strafe around Luncora, the Toa of Magnetism matching his movements as they each examined the other warrior's stance and weapons.Suddenly Raxa lunged forward, making what appeared to be a clumsy swing from above Luncora's shoulder, down towards the head--The Toa of Magnetism easily dodged that attack, the war hammer passing across his body.Once the war hammer had passed far enough, Luncora stepped forwards, ready to make a counterattack. Right at that moment Raxa reversed his swing, sending the spike on the back of the war hammer on a deadly path towards Luncora's rib and armpit, something that could possibly end the battle right there.

"There something you want to show me?"Krell didn't bother hiding the impatience in his voice, why should he? Kuhrin had dragged him from one end of the island to the next... And pretty much accomplishing nothing. Well, besides that one terror raid on the caravan, but still. If there was one thing the Toa of Blackfire hated more then not doing anything, it was not doing anything important.Besides, his Kanohi was starting to give him head aches again. The two Toa were in one of the lesser known tunnels of Onu-Wahi, a perfect place to have a conversation like this. Topics involved destruction of Koros, destruction of Koros with Matoran in them, that sort of stuff.

What, if he was leader of a group and two of its members left, he'd send someone after them. Going on a hunch, the Infected Toa of Blackfire disceetly looped around on their path. If he was right, well...Coming to a place that they were about thirty minutes before, Krell suddenly stopped, and crouched down to the ground. Placing a clawed hand on the damp ground, his Kanohi flared briefly, and he began to see images of the past...At first he just saw themselves walk past... but only minutes later did a third being followed. He was large, twisted, and unpleasent to look at, but obviously infected.Krell deactivated his Kanohi, and stood back up, turning around into the tunnel. "I know you're there," he said, his deep voice filling the confines of the area. "There is no point in hiding it now."

  • IC: KrellWith an amazing display of reflexes, Krell smoothly lept out of the way of the emerging being, and landed lightly on his feet. While he hadn't expected the sudden arrival that way, it didn't surprize him as much as it would a lesser being. The Toa of Blackfire sighed as KuAnLo disappeared into the shadows again. "I suppose we have to do it that way, huh?" he said, before reaching out with his element. Suddenly, the area in which KuAnLo disappeared was covered with light-sucking flames, invisible in the darkened tunnel. They weren't hot enough to cause and lasting damage or pain, but they were hot enough for the twisted being to feel them. "No shadow can hide you, as I create shadow," Krell said, almost as an after thought. Karz, he thought ot himself, that was good, I should write that down.Controling his element further, Krell made it so that the only way out of the flames was towards himself.

  • IC-KuAnLo:By the time that Krell had used his attack, however, KuAnLo had grown a stony outcropping about himself, melding in with the rest of the cave-it looked completely natural. KuAnLo, however, was already moving about through the walls again, using his element to silently make way for himself. The best part about his method? He could feel nearly every vibration within the cave through the stone-if either of the Toa within moved, he could feel it, and act accordingly.

  • IC: KrellWhen his method failed to see any results, Krell shut off the power, and absorbed what black flames were still burning. Fine, if this being didn't want to be seen, that was okay with the Toa of Blackfire. He couldn't care less about the twisted being, as long as he didn't prove hostile and attack.Despite this, as Krell turned to continue down the dark Onu-Koroan tunnel, he kept a eye out for the strange being. There was something about him that interested the Toa of Blackfire. Whatever it may be, it was enough to warrent some of his attention. "I always did hate hide-and-seek," Krell muttered unter his breath, picking off some rust from his armor with a clawed finger.

  • IC: CatacombsA strangled cry rose from Hajia. Halion, knowing when a being was focusing for an attack, had placed his forearm on Hajia's throat, managing to keep it there when Gravity attempted to move them. It felt as his his arm would snap in half, but he also held on as his gravity changed, making his forearm begin to crush Hajia's throat. As Raxa had made the first attack with the warhammer, Luncora had began to focus, creating a magnetic field. As Raxa reversed the swing, he would suddenly be sent flying back, being magnetically attracted to a wall on the far side of the room. As the Vortixx raised his dagger to strike, Tirus's knife slammed into his thigh, causing him to awkwardly fall to his knees with a shout of surprise, creating the perfect moment for Tajeh to stab upwards, into the Vortixx's vitals.Onyx, drawing his sword, holding it as well as his maul, a feat of strength impressive for one not using his Kanohi. • IC: GravityMy face darkened, and I used what little elemental energy I had left to focus the power pulling Halion's arm away. Now it really would feel like it would snap in half, and I probably would if the Toa of air didn't move it away from Hajia's throat. Trying to conserve what little elmental energy remained, I slightly decreased the amount of gravity pulling Halion back to the wall.So focused on pretty much destroying Halion, I barely noticed Onyx move towards Hound.

  • IC: KuhrinSoon they reached what appeared to be a dead end. Neither Kuhrin or Krell seemed to notice, and simply carried on walking. when they were inches away from walking into a wall, Kuhrin reached out his hand and pushed the wall aside. Inside was a small chamber, dimly-lit save for a column of light leading down from a lightstone in the ceiling to the middle of the room, where a bloody stone slab was. On the slab was (other than the aforementioned large quantities of blood) a Toa, chained at his ankles and wrists, lying face down, unconscious. Something akin to a Kraata was embedded in his back, which KuAnLo may have recognised as a Parakuka."Ah, resting peacefully, as I hoped. And it appears he hasn't transformed yet, a good sign..." Kuhrin muttered half to himself before removing the chains and hauling Desuka's blood unconscious body into a cage just large enough for someone to sit cros-legged in. The Toa of Sonics lifted one side of the cage up and began to drag it out of the room.
