IC: Kultax
I follow Ayna slowly, in an attempt to keep her in the lead. While walking, I look around at Ga-Wahi as I usually do, observing the minor changes of the day.
IC: (Ayna)
She looked over her shoulder at Kultax.
"You visit Ga-Koro often?"
IC: Kultax
Her voice pulls me back to reality.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah. I kinda live here when I'm not wandering. I've just been in a travel slump lately."
'Back to looking around', I think.
IC: (Ayna)
"Hm."
She pointed to a large hut ahead of them.
"There's the shop. I'm gonna go inside while you keep looking for an adventurer's meet-and-greet or something."
IC: Kultax
"Alright."
I start fiddling with my Bamboo Disk while walking around near the shop, looking for anyone who looks like a wanderer.
IC:Wasuka
The purple digitigrade foreigner, meanwhile, had determined that her small list of stuff was in fact still present, and had moved on to figuring out which blanket would make the best cloak.
IC:Cyramar
Patchwork? Patchwork? PATCHWORK?! WHY YOU LITTLE-
"I woke up a little less than an hour ago now. I'm not familiar with anything." Cyramar shrugged. He paused briefly, before drawing his...laser...gun.
"I know how to use this though. It can burn through solid stone, so it can probably burn through someone's face." He shrugged, putting it back where it was. How convenient there was a part of his thigh armour that it could hang off so neatly.
IC: (Ayna)
After milling about the shop for a bit, the Onu-Matoran came to the conclusion that they didn't have what she was looking for. She walked back outside.
"Any luck, stranger?"
IC: (Ranir)
She went back inside Kanonu's hut.
"Thanks for interrupting a perfectly good spar, Wasuka."
IC: (Datrox)
His eyes seemed to brighten at the sight of the "laser gun."
"Watch out, Sor--Patchwork over 'ere's packing heat. I like it."
IC: Kultax
"It seems not. I suppose I'll have to actually go and find people instead of the other way around. If you want to come with me, feel free."
I start to walk away, before awkwardly turning back.
"Oh, and uh, if you ever need any help, uh, feel free to call on me."
IC Sorox
Sorox glanced at the weapon with as much external interest as if he was presented a rock. However, after the weapon had been replaced, He beamed towards Datrox with a cunning gleam in his eye.
"You may be exactly the kind of friend we need. How would you like to join us?"
IC: (Ayna)
"Yeah, sure, I--"
She paused.
"...you know, I guess I could come with you."
IC: Kultax
"Alright then. Is there a good restaurant around here or something?
Maybe we can find someone there."
IC: (Ayna)
"Well, a place called The Great Takea just re-opened."
OOC: Buuut that might not be the best place to go since I'm not sure I want us to cross paths with Datrox's group. It feels like it'd be awkward to have two of my own characters in the same place but not interacting.
IC: Kultax
"Is it that one over there? Cone to think of it, I thought I saw some people fighting over there. Maybe that's not the best idea after all."
IC: (Ayna)
"Fights seem to happen a lot in Ga...how 'bout there?"
She pointed to a nondescript restaurant nearby.
"That place seems nice."
IC: Kultax
"Sounds good."
OOC: Open to interaction/more companions
IC: (Ayna)
"Alrighty."
She headed towards the restaurant.
IC: Kultax
I follow Ayna into the restaurant
IC: (Ayna)
She immediately sat down at a table by a window.
IC: Kultax
I look around uneasily, and then sit down across from Ayna. Hopefully my rare appearances in places like this will get travellers interested in a new face.
IC: (Ayna)
She tapped her fingers on the table and looked around the room, before turning her attention to the window, which gave a nice view of the ocean.
"So," she began, turning to Kultax, "I feel like I need to get to know you better if I'm gonna be hanging around you awhile. What's your story?"
IC: Kultax
I stare out the window for a while longer before turning back to Ayna.
"I wasn't a Le-Matoran for long. One day I just woke up and... boom. Toa. I've never seen any indication of a team I was supposed to be on or anything. So... I just go around. Exploring. Fixing problems where I can. A turning point was this." I hold up my right arm.
"I wound up in a sort of mini-war. I saw several Toa die. And when I went to confront the guy behind it, he almost tore my arm off."
I turn from her and stare out the window again.
"That really changed me. I lost the friends I had and became.... reclusive. It's been that way for...."
I can't bring myself to say more, whether out of fear of more previous trauma or something else, I do not know.
IC: (Ayna)
...
Jesus.
She sat in silence for a bit, staring at Kultax.
"That was far more interesting than I expected."
IC: Kultax
I had a faint smile behind my mask now.
"You'll find everyone has some secret deep down."
I lean in, which is really just sitting how anyone else would.
"What's yours?"
IC: (Ayna)
She blushed and leaned back.
"I don't have any secets, b-buddy. Open book here."
IC: Kultax
My smile broadened into a full grin.
"Whatever you say."
IC: (Ayna)
"Y-yeah, well, I--food. We came in here for food, where the heck's the waiter??"
She pretended to search the room for someone to help them order from her seat. She really just wanted to change the subject as fast as possible.
IC: Kultax
"Okay, Okay. I'm sorry. I think I have enough widgets. I'll pay for whatever you get."
IC:
"Girls, I'm going to need to detain both of you. I can hold you for seventy-two hours without charge, so I'm going to have to think something up while you two are restrained to the Koro," Whitehot said seriously. "Then you'll be stuck here once the rest of the Dasaka leave. I'm sure that if you're exonerated for the crimes I invent, you'll be allowed to return untouched - except you, Sinsh, babe - to Sado. If not, I'm afraid you'll hafta do extra time in the fun mines of Ga-Koro."
-Tyler
IC: (Ayna)
She huffed and crossed her arms.
"Yeah, you better..."
As if on cue, a Toa of unidentifiable element walked up to them.
"I'm here to take your order."
IC:
"Given that neither of us are Mata-Nuian nationals, I do not think that you have the authority." The Menti commented, regarding the Onu-Toa from across the table with a faintly arched eyebrow. "I believe that it is outside of your jurisdiction to detain us, and any punitive action would have to go through the Commodore."
IC:
"Eh, little too butch for my taste."
-Tyler
IC:
The Menti blinked, and the slight arch increased to a severe one.
IC:
Oh, this is just too fun.
"I'm starting to think you don't want to be in the fun mines, Miss Sinshi."
-Tyler
IC:Wasuka
"Listen..." She started, before pausing. "I don't actually have any justification, I thought it was a legit fight." She shrugged, deciding that all these blankets were Kanonu's and thus she shouldn't take any of them.
"But yeah. Sorry. I guess." She stood up, having packed her stuff back into the various straps or rough scabbards they sat in or on or through.
IC:Cyramar
Once more, Cyramar shrugged.
"That depends. If it involves probably getting cut down and dying, probably not."
Alternatively, it could be profitable.
Remind me who you are.
Im the voices in your heeeeeaaaaad.
Voice. One voice. And why do I care about profits?
Because you're presently a penniless hobo.
We're. We're the penniless hobo. You're in here too.
Yeah good point.
I mean, I guess getting something out of it might be possible.
There you go man. Go for it! How many other people on this island have laser guns?
I guess we'll find out.
"And what we get out of it."
IC: (Ayna)
She huffed and crossed her arms.
"Yeah, you better..."
As if on cue, a Toa of unidentifiable element walked up to them.
"I'm here to take your order."
IC: Kultax
"What do you guys have here?"
IC: (Datrox)
He gave a worried glance to Sorox.
"Well, we weren't really doing it for profit, it's more of a public service..."
Realizing this recruitment might go south if he didn't say what Cyramar wanted to hear, the Toa of Fire immediately changed gears.
"...buuut in the end we might get some reward for our efforts. And that reward might be money."
IC: (Ranir)
"Yeah, whatever. So...what are we gonna do now?"
IC: (Ayna, nameless waiter)
"Sir, this is Ga-Koro. We have fish. Fried ruki, anything takea, you name it."
IC: Kultax
"I suppose I'll have a Ruki. I'm not big on meat."
IC: (Ayna, nameless waiter)
"Hm, alright. And you?"
"...the same."
The waiter left, heading back to the kitchen.
IC: Kultax
I go back to looking around the place, thinking about where to go after this.
IC: Azureus
"Anyone up for darts?" Azi asked, stepping in.
