OOC: Er, not to be criticizing your style or anything, but that didn't really sound like an actual conversation to me... IC: Ardoku"Er, you do realize I was kidding about the contract thing, right? Hehe..." The Toa turned from the window, "Well, if you want to sell some weapons, be my guest, I'll wait here for him to wake up... AND..." Ardoku jumps into the unoccupied bed, "...I'll be here while doing so."
IC: ChronnThere was most certainly someone in here now, now to find out what they wanted. I reached my arm out, grabbing a handful of the trail-mix, before turning my chair to face the Toa standing in my office. He must have moved rather silently, I hadn't even heard him walk though the room between my office and the entrance. I popped my knuckles and my back as I rose from the chair, looking the being right in the eyes with a cold glare."What do you want. Is someone dead? I hope you aren't foolishly expecting me to solve a murder for free."But it seemed murders weren't as common as I expected. And if they were, I just wasn't being informed of them. I was thinking about branching out slightly, going into assault and attempted murder cases as well, possibly drum up a little more business.
OOC: Yeah, I know what you're talking about. It's kind of choppy. I had to type that one in a hurry.I.C. "Of course. Well, I'll be going now."Kranuka rented an Onu-Koro market stall and posted a sign:Weapons for salePrice range 10 to 30 widgets.
IC: Ardoku"Well, this is going to be fun." The Toa of Plasma relaxed, letting the pain seep out of his body. As soon as the Toa next to him woke up, he'd let Kranuka know.
IC: Fehron woke up."Oops, looks like I overslept. Lets grab some breakfast and go."OOC: Sorry about my lack of activity, I was busy with homework last night.
IC: [Arkrak]"Actually," replied the Toa of Sonics. "I was just curious to what exactly your agency did. It seems like you've answered that question though."He quickly surveyed the room, noting the absence of other people."It must be difficult to solve murders by yourself," he remarked.
OOC: That's quite understandable, don't worry, It's happened to meIC: Fehron woke up."Oops, looks like I overslept. Lets grab some breakfast and go."OOC: Sorry about my lack of activity, I was busy with homework last night.
IC: ChronnSo this person was just a curious civilian. What a waste of my time, talking to unimportant villagers. But I had to keep up a rather friendly appearance for my business. If I just shouted at him to get out, it wouldn't really look good to anyone he spoke to. So I would speak to him, not that I really wanted to."Yes, I suppose I have answered my own question."I answered, the bored seeping into my voice as I spoke. This person wasn't worth my time. And keeping a positive appearance was challenging, when you just wanted to throw people out for their lack of anything important to say."Not really, I work best alone. All my past employees have been incompetent imbeciles."
I.C. KranukaFudge. this is the most business I've had in months.Kranuka finished up the last three customers and frowned to the others. "Sorry, I've gotta go."Kranuka walked over to Ardoku, and the crowd dispersed. "Ok, I'm ready now."
IC: Ardoku"Good, I think Fehron's ready too..." He walked back inside, (OOC: Please allow me to do this) Kranuka following. They entered their room again...
I.C. Kranuka followed Ardoku back to the inn and began to pack up the two halves of the mat Ardoku had slept on last night.
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak gave his fellow being an inquiring glance. Chronn didn't really seem to be the type that would fire people for incompetence, but one who would force the incompetencies out. That meant that any other employees probably ended up qutting."Really?" the Toa of Sonics asked, clasping his hands into what some called 'The Gendo Pose'. "How exactly were they incompetent?"
IC: ChronnThis person was certainly nosy, and it was started to irritate me. Why did he want to know so much about my business, it clearly was not one of his concerns. But I would let it go for now... Though I wouldn't mind given this annoying pest a boot to the face should he go past my limits of mercy. For now, I would answer, and unless he had something worth saying, this conversation wasn't going to last very long."They lacked any intellect within their empty heads. They probably couldn't have even written their own names without the help of another person. The first one just mindlessly walked away from the job. For all I know, he's been eaten by ravenous Rahi. The other was corrupted by that terrible sens of right and wrong that plagues too many of the Toa these days."I turned back to my desk, grabbing another handful of my Trail-mix. I could ask if he wanted any of it, but I wasn't into sharing my possessions with others. And this Trail-Mix was mine.
IC: [Arkrak]"I see," said Arkrak, nodding slightly, "so your former employees were rather concerned with their morality."
IC: Chronn"In a way... Apparently catching criminals is considered to violent in their eyes. How pitiful this island has become, when Toa refuse to uphold justice merely because they don't like the violence involved."I remarked, leaning my balance on my arm, which I placed down on my desk. This was tiring, and an already dull conversation. Why anyone would just come into a detective's office just to speak to the detective about nothing at all was beyond me. Perhaps he was trying to see what information he could steal from me, and start his own investigation agency, and if that was the case, then I would either have to kick him out, or kill him. And I was trying to cut back on the third option."Clearly you didn't come here just to converse about my past employees. Why are you here?"
IC: [Arkrak]"Curiosity and boredom," the Toa of Sonics said simply. "My life consisted of repetitions of the same actions nearly every single day. It was getting rather melancholic."He sat down on a chair that was nearby."One would say that curiosity killed the Muaka," he continued, "but I'm not a Muaka, so I doubt that applies to me."
OOC: Knife and Edge from Po-Wahi.IC: A pair of matoran-sized cloaks swished through the tunnels. One cloak royal purple, the other ice-blue. One without decor, the other with a titanic sword strapped on.Knife and Edge made their way towards Onu-Koro without a sound.
IC: Fehron"I'm all packed!" said Fehron, shoving several gears into his bag. "Now let's get going!"
IC: The crime boss sat in his dimly lit office. A cigar poked out of his square Noble Matatu's jaw as he waited with hands folded across the desk.He dragged long and hard, blowing a smoke ring into the musty air of the warehouse. Where the KARZ was that son-of-a-piraka Zadron? The boss didn't like being kept waiting to have to pay those working for him. It was a pretty nasty surprise when they reappeared a few hundred years later and asked for their money. So he typically had those surprirsers killed. And Zadron would be a shame to kill. An excellent assassin-to say the least, that was.The boss had seen him at work before, and all his jobs were beautiful. Simply beautiful. 'When you want someone dead, you can't ask for any more than a bullet in the head' was the Onu-Matoran's motto. Zadron exemplified why that motto was so beautiful-with just him, and that sniper rifle of his.He dragged again. Beautiful, simply beautiful. What a shame.
OOC: Don't mind if I move us along a bit
IC: ArdokuThe group of three went out of the inn, and began walking towards the tunnel to Po-Wahi. "By the way, Fehron, what were you doing in Ta-Wahi?" The Toa of Plasma slowed down as he looked The Toa of Iron in the eyes.
IC: Chronn"Curiosity has killed many more than a few mere Muaka. It kills the foolish, who don't realize what they've dealing with until it is too late."I calmly remarked, getting beyond annoyed with this person who was wasting my time. And he had the nerve to sit in one of my chairs, without even asking. His manners were horrendous, and he just didn't know when to shut up. There was no way I was going to put up with this."As you can guess, my business keeps me quite busy. And speaking to you has taken quite a bit of my time, so... get to the point of this conversation."It was blunt, I was tired of being nice.
OOC: From Po-KoroIC: Clo'on and Kohra hiked up the path to the Onu-Koro highway, the gloomy cave lurking like a mouth in the mountainside."We are coming up to Midak's Stables. Do you wish to hire an Ussal to get through the tunnels?" Clo'on asked. He was aware the two of them had been trekking all day through a desert, and he was beginning to tire even if the Vortixx wasn't
IC: Golem surfaced, if that was what you could call it.Either way, he was in Onu-Koro. The Toa in Ta-Wahi had been disappointing, but he expected more. He was quite familiar with these tunnels. He wasn't expecting the fight coming.
IC: Gaea:Gaea walked down the alleys of Onu-Koro. She just had to find Golem. She pulled out her thornstick in case he assaulted her.
IC: [Arkrak]As most people in Ko-Koro would attest to, Arkrak was rather annoying. Strangely, when he actually decided to try and be annoying, he was much less annoying than usual, probably because of the fact that he was concentrating on something else other than blowing things up. So when he had decided to make conversation with the other Toa, he was more of a tumour than 'person you want to dip in a vat of his favourite explosive compound, which by the way, was made by nitrating some random liquid produced as a by-product of soap-making, and lit on fire'."You see," the Toa of Sonics said, returning to his feet. "I've been creating random explosives and blowing up parts of my house for about two hundred years or more. Such monotonous activities get rather boring over time, so I thought: 'Hey, why don't I randomly go experience new things? Explore the island? Irritate everybody? Insult people's crude definitions of fickle morality?'; which lead to me coming here, to your detective agency, which I'm pretty sure is less a detective agency and more 'one man homicide squad'."He paused for a moment, before continuing his impromptu speech."But the point I am trying to make however, is that because of my boredom, I have decided to experience new things by joining your one man homicide squad."A small smile graced his face as he waited for the metaphorical pin to drop.OOC: After several pages, we have finally reached the point of the conversation. Okay TDC, your turn. Also, imagine Arkrak with Patrick Stewart's voice.
IC:: The ShadowThe Shadow was worried. Invisible had not yet returned, and he was suspicious. Perhaps it is time to take matters into my own hands? Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Tell me how it works out. I am going to find that Toa, and I am going to kill him myself. What if he's not alone? Then there'll be more than one death... If Invisible did not return soon, The Shadow was more than prepared to go to Ta-Koro himself.
IC: ChronnWas this person mad? He had just spoken about blowing up his own home multiple times, and now he wanted to work here?! If I wanted a wall taken down, I would hire a professional, not a new detective who would likely destroy it with explosives. Clearly, I had to find a way out of hiring him... and I had to be smart about it."Well, you see.... it seems there are... issues with accepting into my business a... creator of explosives. I run an honest, completely legal business here, and someone with knowledge of how to blow things up isn't exactly the most sane sounding person. Perhaps you would be better suited for a job in mining, blowing up tunnels and such."I wanted him out of my office, immediately. He was bad for my reputation. This wasn't some explosive creators anonymous. If he wanted to find a job, he could just go bug someone else, someone who actually cared.OOC: Don't mind him, he's just grouchy as usual. You'll get the job, Chronn just isn't going to like it. XDIC: ... UnknownA clanking came as the bottom of his staff struck the ground, his feet moving along at the same rate. He didn't need to staff, it was merely for show, part of his appearance. The green eyes in his mask searched as he walked along. He was looking for two individuals, A Matoran, and what seemed a Matoran with the power of a Toa. He had been given information on the two, that was why he was here. The two had potential to reach greater levels of violence against the island. He was here for one reason, a simple one. He was here for NEX.To all around, he looked like a simple old Turaga, his armor pattern not really standing out even though a little unusual. He blended into the Koro quite well. He was just an old Turaga, minding his own business, not a threat to anyone at all. That was not true of him at all. Behind the friendly face was something a lot darker, colder.... more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine. He wasn't just a Turaga in any way. He was also, the leader of NEX. And what he was plotting... the island may never look at Turaga the same way again. But that wouldn't happen at all if he couldn't find any murderers willing to assist his plans. And that was a challenge itself. When you killed, you learned to blend in, to keep hidden. He just had to find one slight slip, and there would be his killers. He had been given a rough description of their appearances, he just had to expect that it would be enough, and that Knife and Edge would end up showing up eventually.
IC: The old turaga clanked along through the tunnels. He was still without a trace of Knife and Edge's presence after some time searching. That was when a trace found him.It was in the form of a form who stepped out the shadows in a move that subtly blocked his path. Her innocuous eyes blinked out from her purple cloak, a seemingly innocent female De-Matoran."Oh, hello mister. Fancy playing a little game today?"Meanwhile, a matoran the exact opposite of the first in everything except gender stepped silently towards the turaga's back. Stepping silently, that was, with one gigantic sword raised overhead.
IC: ArdokuThe group continued walking, the Toa of Plasma waiting for an answer from the other Toa. They were about to enter the tunnel leading to Po-Wahi. "Wait, maybe we should take an Ussal-Taxi." That would shorten their journey considerably...OOC: The group is open for interaction...
IC: ...UnknownHe looked at the Matoran standing in front of him, noting wording, and appearance. It seemed to match up with the description of one of the beings he was here in search of. But the only way to be certain was to find the other. If both were in the same area then he had found the Toa powered Matoran, and the non-powered Matoran. He hadn't noticed the other was right behind him, ready to kill him rather violently."That depends on the game..."He pulled out one of his knives, twirling it in his hand with great skill."...And if you're the Knife itself, or the cutting Edge. I'm here to speak to both. I believe I have an offer that might be of interest."
IC: The 'matoran' grinned. "I'm Knife, mister. Edge is behind you. What's the offer?," she asked plaintively. Edge now stopped sneaking and kept her blade frozen. Either the guy was going to offer them something they liked and they'd do him the favor he wanted, or she'd knock him unconscious and drag him away so they could play some more. It was simple, really, and the reason why she still kept her blade in the air.
IC: ...Unknown"I have heard... rumors that inform me about two Matoran, one with powers, that happen to have a enjoyment for the fine art of killing others. And that, is where my offer is based."He explained, He turned to see the blade hanging in the air, ready to kill him. He turned back to Knife to continue speaking, not even taking the time to move away from the deadly sword. He seemed rather calm, speaking to two or the island's most violent residents. It was as if he didn't even see the threat that they posed to everyone, including himself."I have a plan... one that involves a few deaths. Quite a few. And I have been seeking the island's best. And you two were near the top of the list. I came here to offer the two of you... a job. You continue what you are doing, killing others. And in exchange, you will be... rewarded. Widgets, weapons, information, a secure location to escape meddling island security forces..."
IC: Knife smirked. Edge grinned. The twins spoke as one."We'll do it."
IC: ...Unknown"Then I welcome you both to NEX. But, there is one condition to membership in this organization... At every murder, you leave a simple tablet, with NEX carved into it."He explained calmly, he himself did not smile in any way. He stayed completely serious and grim."And if you already wish to start killing, I know of an interesting target... I have heard of a being in Le-Koro, goes by the name of Wadro."OOC: Yes, Knife and Edge have been offered the very first killable PC, to kill as they see fit.
IC: Knife smirked. "Give us the tablet and we'll go there."
IC: ...UnknownHe reached into a hollow area of his armor, pulling out a small stone tablet, written on it was the name NEX, and it was more of a seal of death than anything else."And when he's dead, help yourself to whatever items he may possess."
IC: Venen, from Ta-WahiI strode through the tunnels, walking largely through darkness. The least the Matoran could do was keep their tunnels well-lit.Finally, I stopped at one of the lightstones embedded in the wall. I studied it for a moment, before drawing one of my unpoisoned blades and jamming it behind the lightstone as far as I could. Then, I used it as a lever, pushing until the lightstone popped out. I picked it up. A Matoran had obviously out the lightstone there, and while I wasn't the strongest of Toa, I was certainly stronger than any Matoran.I continued down the tunnel, now with a light.
IC: Knife smirked again in acknowledgement. She grabbed the tablet and shoved it inside her cloak, then turned towards Le-Wahi."Goodbye, mister!," the 'matoran' called, once again the portrait of innocence. And then she ran off, silent Edge with strapped blade beside her.OOC: Knife and Edge to Le-Wahi.-The Fearless Leader
IC: ...UnknownHe watched as the two dashed off to kill people. Then he turned speaking quietly to himself."Kids these days, so full of energy, always running everywhere."It was as though he was talking about normal kids, and not two highly deadly killers. He adjusted his staff in his grip, and continued his walk through Onu-Koro. There was another being here he was after. And last he knew, that person had been fighting with a detective. A Toa named Venen, said to have quite to attachment to the use of poisons. He once again started searching, this time for a criminal much lower of the danger list, but still rather useful.
IC: VenenI arrived in the city, putting the lightstone in one of the pouches on my belts. I strode through the crowds of Matoran confidentally. Trying to sneak around would only make me look out of place.Once again, I was in the Underground Koro. I wouldn't be for long, for I was headed to Le-Wahi. Soon, I would be rid of this gloomy village, without attracting attention to myself.Or so I thought.
