IC(Amalod [Ko-Koro inn talking to Esao])
"You want to step outside for a bit?" she asks the Toa named Esao.-Mef Man
IC: Esao (Ice Howl Inn, Ko-Koro)Esao turned slightly to Amalod and nodded after a second."Sure," he said, following her outside. "What's up?"-Teezy
IC(Amalod [Ko-Koro outside of inn talking; to Esao])
"I wanted to apologize for bringing up your friend," she says. "I'm sorry if I upset you."-Mef Man
IC: Esao (Ice Howl Inn, Ko-Koro)Esao's face seemed to examine that of Amalod's, and the archer realized just how different they were: whereas Amalod's face was full, pretty, and hopeful, Esao's features, while extremely handsome, were more serious, darkened, reined in, as though the cheerfulness and joy that had once rested there had been sucked away, replaced by pain and seriousness. His purple gaze seemed to have developed the habit of boring into souls and examining the evil in them instead of looking at the hope and joy that rested inside them. Instead of learning to love, he'd embraced the ability to hate. And of all the people who had tried to change that, Flyssa had come so close to actually doing it. And now she was gone, forever, another person Esao had failed, and here was this girl Amalod...well, maybe he still had a chance. At caring, at loving, at coming to grips with his losses and working on building on them instead of avenging them. Sucogu had been right all alone. Being shackled to the past was no way to live. Using it, using the past to help create a future...that was the end goal. And he, Esao, would still die for it.Pushing aside all those deep philosophical thoughts, he smiled at her and shook his head."It's all right," he said. "If she had been there to watch, she'd probably slap me around a bit and tell me to suck it up."-Teezy
IC(Amalod [Ko-Koro outside of inn talking; to Esao])
"Oh, well good to hear-I mean, uh," she quickly stops talking; fearing she'd accidentally say something that she would later regret. "I'm sorry for being so...awkward. I'm still trying to get into the swing of normal life. All of this is so new to me."-Mef Man
IC: Esao (Ice Howl Inn, Ko-Koro)Esao grinned slightly at her and shrugged."Don't worry about it," he assured her. "I don't have the greatest social skills either. Spending two years in a beach house alone practicing with various weaponry does that to a guy."-Teezy
IC: Taronak and the guards walked away from Zacax, going in the direction of Ko-Koro.
IC: Krayzikk"I'll say." Krayzikk said, his head poking out the hole where the window used to be.He shrugged. "By the way, I only caught the last part, in case you were worried."
IC: Riversong (in the Ice Howl Inn)Noticing the discussion, Riversong walked over to Krayzikk. She had seen Esao and Amalod exit the building a few minutes ago, and couldn't help but feel a twinge of concern for her relatively new acquaintances."Are they okay?" Riversong asked the Titan.
IC: Krayzikk"Yeah, they're good."
IC: (Alrin)I could trust the Inspector, Alexin's gut feeling, his instinct was something to be trusted. Instinct was what kept me alive all these years. He would do the Sanctum Guard proud. I was surprised how well this new leadership fit me. I didn't like it though, giving any sort of order should be hard, unless the answers were obvious. Alexin would alert me if there were any ulterior motives amidst their supposedly friendly pretenses. I learned not to trust anyone as far as I could throw them and a lot of people seemed pretty heavy nowadays. I happened upon more men a bit closer to the colosseum, where we held Kohlii and other events. It had been so long since I've seen a good Kolhii game, Po-Koro had the best ones hand down. I found some of my men struggling to get some wreckage off a woman and her husband."Captain Alrin here. My men and I will get you out of here. What are your names?" I asked. Both seemed to be awake, and depending on their injuries I needed to make sure they still were.""We're fine. I'm Ferik, and she's...""Alvia, what happened to the previous captain?" The woman asked, I didn't answer. Piece by piece my men and I got the wreckage off the couple. I nodded for them to get them back to the Inn where a medic station had been set up. Apparently the hospital had been taking some damage as well. Among other places I would need to check that out as well. There were so many problems to clean up in this town, but I would fix them. I had to.
IC: EndriinHe heard Seven say goodbye, and stopped briefly, looking back at her. He nodded slightly, as if to say May we meet again. He then turned to the snow and the wind, which quickly engulfed him. When it cleared, he had vanished.
IC: [The Seventh]"You seem pretty aloof about the state of affairs here."
IC: EndriinHe wandered through the snowy wasteland for seemingly hours, pulling his robe tight around him. How did I get here? He zoned out as he thought back to the events that led him here.I stand outside the monastery, the gates closed to me now. I rub my throat, and set off through the streets of Ga-Koro. I realise people are looking at me. I don't blame them, monks of the Order never venture outside the mighty fortress they call home. I pull up my hood, and set off down an alleyway. It is here I unleash my rage, away from the Matoran who are so easily harmed.I walk out of the alleyway, brushing iron shavings off myself. If anyone were to look into the alley, they would find a wall of metal spikes blocking their vision to more metal spikes. I find myself leaving the village, setting off for parts unknown. He shook his head, and powered through the thick snow, which slowly turned to swampland, as he entered Le-Wahi.OOC: Endriin to Le-Wahi.
IC: Auron:The Toa of Fire spotted the incomming staff-weilding stranger first, "Look out Zacax! Evil-lookin', staff-weildin', insane-person-man incoming at at o' four-o'-clock!"
IC: Madrihk"Don't worry, I thought the same. I'd appreciated it if you hadn't been tough enough to make him run off, though. If we check with the Ussalry and it turns out that he has a buddy there who sent him a letter, then we just scared off an ally. Crabs can be quite fast, after all."The Toa of Ice dropped the issue, however, and looked around the square. The squad members had positioned themselves here and there amongst the mounds of snow and ice and rock, and Madrihk looked over to where the small med ward was supposedly located."I understand that you confirmed that there was a med ward over there? The hospital is in ruins, but we could move eventual patients to the smaller one.""Now I know I may have been very aggressive and direct in my approach and I'm sorry for that but his story didn't add up at all. Coincidentally, he has a buddy in the Ussalry that fought with us which sent him a letter of the battle, describing only you and Skrihen vaguely in it. That's how he recognized us though that's not what I'd call enough. Think about it: messages don't travel across the island in a day or two, the Ussalry's busy venturing back to Onu-Koro and he wouldn't have gotten it with Ko-Koro in its current state. It doesn't make sense if you ask me."
IC: [Ril]"This place is a dump now," said Ril. "Say chief, should I go clear the roads while you guys handle the transferral of patients? I've never been really good at caring for others."
IC: Madrihk"If there's anyone even left alive to transfer," Madrihk mumbled grimly, looking at the mostly destroyed buildings. "Let the roads wait until there are anyone who can use them. The guard asked us to secure this place, and given his apparent disposition towards us I'm not going to anger him any further by doing everything else but securing the village center."
IC: [Ril]"That should be simple I suppose. Have we set up a perimeter, with people posted around the borders to watch for suspicious activity?"
IC: Aurel:Aurel was a little ways away from them, pointing at the sky, "You mean, suspicious like that?"IC: Sideways:Sideways loved his illusion powers, and had used them to make the sky a message to Ko-Koro:
Attention anyone inside Ko-Koro;
We are the Shadow Hapaka,
We have captured eleven Matoran, and are holding them hostage,
Our demands are as follows;
Give us 2000 widgets per Matoran,
meet with two of my agents on the edge of the Place of Shadows,
when they return with the money, we will send the Matoran back to Ko-Koro.
These demands are non-negotiable,
if you do not agree, the Matoran shall die.
Sideways loved his Mahiki.
IC: ZacaxZaax pushed Auron out of the way and the two hit the snow. The Dusk turned and saw the two Toa, "Ah of it isn't Zacax,"
IC:Reyal stayed back while Kreigero threw her spear at the dusk's back and then unsheathed her double-edged sword.OOC:sorry for extreme lateness, but thanks for waiting.
IC: Zacax and The DuskThe spear simply hit the snow next to the being, not scaring him."What are you doing?!" Zacax asked"What I should have done long ago!" The dusk daid
OOC: Expect your agents to get gutted Auron.IC: (Alrin)I had seen the message written in the sky. My eyes narrowed in anger, I didn't deal with terrorists, The Sanctum Guard didn't deal with terrorists. If they killed the hostages, I would rip their spines out of their backs for it, I had dealt with their kind before and they would always squeal and scream at the end. I made my way back towards the village center and back towards Madrihk."Ko-Koro barely has enough money as it is. We can't pay 2,000 for 11 matoran and I the Sanctum doesn't cut deals with terrorists. You think you have any men to spare for this?" I sighed.
IC: Plagia Simul - Ko-Koro Centre, ILS GroupI looked up to see where, um, what was her name again? Aurel? Anyway, where she was pointing.A blood-chilling message had been spelt out amongst the clouds, a ransom note for eleven Matoran by someone named the 'Shadow Hapaka'."Um, sir," I called out quickly, "You've got to see this."-Void
IC:Kreigero charged towards dusk and attempted to slice his back horizontally with her sword.---------------------------Quoribay walked outside the illusion covering the cave entrance and grinned when he saw the message in the sky. He went back inside and asked Sideways, "So, which of us are going to 'The Place of Shadows', and where is that?"
IC: Zacax and the DuskZacax created a circle of fire, that reached to a hight of 20 feet, preventing anyone from getting in, or out.The Dusk smirked, and the two went into sword and staff combat.
IC:Kreigero was stopped by the wall of fire, so she walked around it and picked up her spear from the ground.
IC(Byraher): "Brakas." Byraher swore when she saw the message. She glanced around at the collected ILS members. Fear, Anger and Worry were the main expressions on their faces. It was near impossible to hear anyone calling for help here. Talking and shouting drowned our everything else. Not good...
IC: AlexinAlexin rounded a corner, and dropped the disguise. He'd seen gve message, and he could hear Alrin. He walked back. "Sir, permission to track them down?"
IC: Cikren:At last, I was alone. My attacker seemed to have switched targets, and no longer bothered me. I'll intervene if he kills them.IC: Auron:"Well... This is boring..." Auron complained, looking at the duel going on in the ring of fire. He wandered away, entering a ruined house. It's owner was in there, speared upon a large wooden stake that looked like it had been part of the walls or floor before. The Matoran was half-covered in the snow. Auron sighed, removed the stake, throwing it aside. He started to cover the Matoran with more snow, so his body was covered. Before he covered the Matoran's head, he made sure to close his eyes. The peaceful sleep of death. Auron frowned, taking the stake that had speared the Matoran, jabbing it into the ground above the Matoran's head, and affixing a small sign onto it, scorching RIP into it. Then he spied a small bag. Taking it, he guistimated there was about 1000 widgets inside. The Matoran wouldn't need them anymore. He pocketed it into his armor, next to the coins. Then, he left the village, heading to Le-Wahi.OOC: Auron to Le-Wahi.
IC: After some time, Taronak saw The Dusk and Zacax fighting. He ran toward them with the guard members, waiting to make a move.
IC: Zacax and The Dusk"I'm impressed Zacax, your the weakest Toa, and yet you dare challenge me? That is bravery, but also stupidity," The Dusk said Andre lined his staff."I'm not weak Darol!" Zcax said jumping on the staff, "I am a prodigy," he clenched his fists in flames and started to punch Darol and knocked the being to the ground, "You were once too,""I found a greater power," The Dusk said, "Darkness,"
IC: Madrihk"I was about to give the orders," Madrihk said with a skewed smile. "Rescuing civilians is primarily what we came here for, after all."He raised his voice."All right, everyone, change of plans. I know we just got here, but there is little we can do when the party's left town already. That message up there has just given us a different place to be, so our primary mission now is to bring those Matoran back home alive."The Toa of Ice turned to the Vortixx next to him."Byraher," he began, "...it's a shame you aren't wearing white. Still, the message says the Place of Shadow, so I figure our targets will already be there. You and anyone else with stealth, I want you to stake out the area once we get close. If they spot us first, they'll be able to set up a more dire hostage situation than if we catch them off-guard."Madrihk then thought of something, and glanced upwards again."That message must be conjured by someone nearby," he stated. "Track them down."
IC: Plagia Simul - Ko-Koro Centre, ILS Group"Sir," I called out, hoping to get Madrihk's attention, "I'd like to help track down the messenger, if that's alright."-Void
IC: Zacax and The DuskThe fight kept raging on. The flames grew in size an width, melting the snow. The cold theme to humid, and then to warm, till it was hot inside the ring. The ring spread to the guards and where Auron once stood, till he left. The dusk swung his right arm, and a giant rock fist was swung at Zacax. Zacax thought quickly and sent a wave of fire to see the fist off course."Once I'm done with you, I have two more to kill that you know," The Dusk said"I won't let you kill anyone!" Zacax said,
IC: Sideways:The Toa of Magnetism thought about it for a moment. He had conceled himself to appear like the natural mountain behind him, looking down at the village. Plenty of beings."Have you ever heard of Jing? There are about 84 types, but that's not the point. I wish to focus on the big three. Positive, Negative, and Neutral. They go with attack, defense, and doing nothing. We shall be Neutral. We shall do nothing. Grata! Suminaxe! You will go to the place of shadows. If you don't return with the money, we'll let the prisoners go. If you don't return, then we'll think you're dead, kill the hostages and split. Am I clear?" Rook asked.Suminaxe nodded, and then went off to the place of shadows. He'd seen the maps, he knew where it was. He hoped Grata followed.
IC(Byraher): Byraher nodded slowly and turned to the rest of the ILS. "If you're skilled in stealth, come here!" she shouted to the group. This was going to be difficult, to say the least.
IC: Madrihk"Go for it," Madrihk replied to Plagia. "Try not to kill him unless absolutely necessary. Kethrye, go with her; you'll have an advantage in this environment. In the case that there is more than one messenger out there, let's say one or two more for the search party. Anyone up for it?"OOC: Did Kal or Mussiki come to Ko-Koro? Kal has a Huna and Mussiki can dampen sound. Would be good for sneaking up on the kidnappers later.
IC: Reordin (Ko-Koro)"I'm in."-Teezy
