IC: I didn't appreciate Revor giving me orders. But, you gotta bend sometimes. I teleported, telling everyone to storm the house in about ten seconds. I drew my katana, and grew a wooden sword in my left hand. The blade wasn't ordinary wood though. It was a particularly volatile type of stinging nettle, where the slightest cut would cause the effects of a nasty bee sting. As an afterthought I dug a quick hole and stuck the axe in it, smoothing the dirt to make the hole invisible.OOC: I'll be a bit erratic tonight.
IC: NidiakNidiak found another window and climbed up to it, making sure to stay quiet. He took out an axe.IC: SlannakNot knowing exactly what to do, Slannak snuck over to where Merla was. She whispered to her companion "I forget. You're a Toa of Water, right?"
IC: Merla"Yes, I am."OOC Nearly my bedtime, see you tomorrow
IC (Revor)Revor counted down the seconds. 3, 2, 1, 0OOC: Lost a vital player, we will continue tomarrow.
OOC: Good, I just want to make sure I'm not breaking the rules, because this is too much fun.IC: Ferron"You can travel with us if you like" the chubby Matoran offered."Sure" Ferron replied and took a few steps closer. The second silhouette had taken a few steps forward, finally standing out from the darkness. The figure was tall, lean, with armor that looked like it was rusted through, and was holding onto a dagger.Ferron approached Krell, and reached out with his right hand, his fake one, for a handshake."And what are you supposed to be?" he asked.
OOC: Payiges from Ga-WahiIC: PayigesThe Toa of Lightning marveled at the vast tunnels and caverns of Onu-Wahi. The light from the Lightstones filled every crack and crevice, whilst maintaining a sense of darkness and isolation. That all changed when she entered the cavern of Onu-Koro. Her eyes widened in wonder as she pulled down the hood of her robes, looking around and grinning stupidly. The Toa of Lightning then had a sudden realisation.'What am I doing here?' She wondered aloud.OOC: Open for interaction.
IC: WhorokWhorok was currently occupied with his favorite pasttime: digging.Methodically willing the earth to part before him, Whorok had all senses on high alert, prepared to confront any who dared threaten his city.He sensed movement on the highway, and directed himself upward. He dug himself just below the stranger, and triggered his powers, attempting to pin the stranger to the roof of the cave.Whorok poked his head up from the ground"Who dares enter Onu-Wahi? state your name and purpose"OOC: Clockwork Kineticist, this means you, take it as you will.
IC: [stronin]"So Soli, we're in Onu-Wahi now. Should we head deeper into the tunnels?"
IC: PayigesActivating her Mask of Fate, she evaded the attack and held a ball of lightning in her hand. 'Payiges dares enter Onu-Wahi, you pillock!' The crackling in the air dissipated as she adopted a regular, if somewhat weary stance. 'Are all of you like this? Jumping out at strangers at the drop of a hat?', she inquired in an anxious tone.
IC: Whorok and Unknown"Don't you dare question the courtesy of my people, surface-dweller" Whorok replied, rattling with his flail to punctuate the announcement."Oh for Mata Nui's sake" a voice cut in.The Onu-Koro guard came running, his purple Akaku's lenses glaring at Whorok"Whorok, how many times have I told you not to ambush visitors?""We don't know where she's from, she could be working for the Makuta" Whorok argued and pointed his claw in her general direction."Contrary to your belief Whorok, not everybody who comes to our town is a servant of evil, this here is just another Toa who's come to visit. You should be shaking hands rather than fighting"Whorok didn't answer, and dove back into the ground, disappearing from sight. The guard shook his head before he turned to the Toa."Sorry about that, Whorok is just very... protective of his home"
IC: KrellI flicked my wrist, and my dagger flew from my right to my left hand in a brief flash of metal. I sheathed it, the weapon sliding into my gauntlet. It was then that I finally got a good look at the Toa, he was tall; about my height; and powerful, while having orange armor like most Toa of Iron, he also had hints of black and silver. My clawed hand now free, I shook Ferron's hand, which looked oddly mechanical, and replied, "Toa Krell."I didn't state my element for a few reasons, the first being that I had next to no idea of what it actually was, and the second was that I really, didn't trust this Toa yet. Thankfully, I had dumped the unconscious Toa's body back when Ferron had first called out, the fewer questions asked the better. Bringing the Toa along and keeping his body out of sight shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially since the mask I wore also seemed to have a power. Something related to gravity, I suppose, judging by the way that Toa of Lightning's arms were pulled out of their sockets. So, all I had to do was float the body along behind us, far enough away to avoid any questions from Ferron. "Now," I said, activating my mask to float the body up into the air behind me, out of sight in the darkness, "Shall we begin?"
IC: FerronFerron inwardly nodded in approval as he witnessed how Krell handled the knife."He's a novice, but he's got quite a bit of talent" Ferron assessed.Ferron had to steel himself in order to not flinch when Krell revealed his clawed hand for a handshake. He shook it calmly, and reasoned that he himself wasn't exactly 100% ordinary either, with a robotic leg and hand in glaring silver."Toa Krell""Kid's apparently not the social type" Ferron thought."Now, shall we begin?"Ferron nodded. "Lead the way, brother" he said.
IC: Tarnok"That, would be an understatement."A voice commented drily from behind Whorok and the Ussalry member who had come to call him off. When they looked, they would find an Onu-Matoran flanked by a Toa sized being with four arms. The insignia on his armor marked him as a member of Ussalry Seventh Squadron. At least for a while longer. Tarnok mused, recalling his meeting with Regiment Commander Arkom. If he has his way, soon there won't be a Seventh Squadron."I find that Whorok here is more protective of his home than a starving dog with a bone. And none of the self restraint."
IC: KrellI nodded, and started ahead, making sure to keep the unconscious Toa floating out of sight. I didn't need Zuria to guide me anymore, as one of the memories that had surfaced recently was how to get to the Koro of Earth. Ha, one of the few that's actually useful for me, I thought dryly as we made our way through the tunnels.Occasionally, my head would errupt in pain, and a vision would flash through my head, but I took it as it came. I didn't show any indication that I was in pain or otherwise effected by them, just as I ignored my injured leg. There would be a time for pain, but now was not that time.
"I find that Whorok here is more protective of his home than a starving dog with a bone. And none of the self-restraint."OOC: Yeah, Whorok sort of had that comingIC: Whorok and UnknownWhorok was about to respond when he noticed the insignia on the offender's shoulder, and swallowed. Not to mention the four-armed behemoth behind looked fairly intimidating to the hunchback Toa of Earth. The Ussalry member threw his hand up in lightning-quick reflex, saluting his superior."Whorok here was just going back to the mines, he's not away from his post very often""Right" Whorok added shakily "the Mining Captain needs me to scout ahead for Kofo-Jaga nests"The Toa of Earth finally made his descent, digging his way back to his crew.IC: FerronFerron followed behind Krell, noticing his slight limp."The kid's had it rough"He was walking beside Zuriana, and had to quite honestly say the chubby little Matoran couldn't look more out of place in Krell's company."So, how did you two meet, exactly?" he asked.
IC: KrellI glanced behind me at Zuria. She could explain, mostly because I didn't understand or remember most of it.That pretty much summed up my life right about then. Either I didn't understand it, or I didn't remember. Trying to take m y mind off of it, as well as the visions, I raised a hand, and willed a small flame of that light-sucking fire into my hand. The very nature of it was strange. I could feel it, just barely, but I knew it was hot. And yet, it was darker then tunnels we were in. Stranger still was that it seemed to make the entire area darker when in existance, instead of bringing light like normal fire. Heat.Heat.Another vision cut through my consciousness, ripping apart my mind and putting it back together within a second. There I was, standing on smooth, hard surface, with a large rod of metal in my grasp. I was focusing... On something... Similar to when I willed my element into existance, but different at the same time. I expected the rod to burst in to flames from the amount of mental focus I had dedicated to it. Instead, it glowed red hot, and then white hot. The temperature increased dramaticly until. finally, I cut the power heating it up.Then I returned to myself, walking in a long, dark tunnel into the unknown.OOC: I am seriously have way too much fun with these Krell posts. :3
IC: Zuriana"I had a delivery to make to Ga-Koro," Zuria replied. "and suddenly I bumped into him. There were some Brakas nearby who were throwing coconuts at him, and I noticed that-" he'd lost his memory, she almost said, before she decided that complete strangers weren't exactly the best people to go around telling things as personal as that to. "...That, he, um, had the same name as the person my parcel was addressed to, so I handed it to him and it turned out to just be some rubbish shards of metal," that had absolutely no significance whatsoever, she thought sarcastically. "so we're heading back to the delivery office now to see who sent it."
IC: FerronFerron kept treading steadfastly after Krell, listiening to Zuria's explanation. He noticed how Krell seemed to almost vanish in the darkness, like the darkness in his immediate area was even more impenetrable than the rest of the tunnel."Sounds like an elaborate prank. 10 widgets says your friend will be ambushed at the delivery office by a bunch of people yelling "YOU'VE JUST BEEN PUNK'D" Ferron said.
IC: Zuriana"You have no idea..." Zuria couldn't help but murmur.
IC: Ferron"I'm sorry, did you say something?"
IC: Krell"If it is," I said, my clawed hand curling into a fist and the flames disappearing within my palm, "Then they're not going to like what I have to say about it."With the flames no longer in existance, I once again became visiable within the tunnel.
IC: Ferron"I don't have much else to do, so I wouldn't mind helping you with your little mystery package" Ferron offered, disclosing the fact that he actually had no reason to go to Onu-Koro
IC: Zuriana"You're welcome to do so, but I'm sure we'll be fine." Zuria smiled up to him.
IC: TarnokTarnok, for a moment, was confused. Whorok had seemed very nervous before his departure. He glanced over his shoulder, at Ulyism. It took a moment for him to understand exactly what had happened. He'd gotten so used to Ulyism, that he's almost forgotten that she was a species unknown to most people on the island."Huh. Well, I was gonna have a friendly chat, but I guess I'll save that for another time."
IC: FerronFerron sighed. And just like that, he was on his own again? This "Krell" character intrigued Ferron, while at the same time putting him on edge. There was something ominous about him that Ferron couldn't put his finger on. Either way, he wasn't leaving this Matoran alone with Krell"Let me at least accompany you to the delivery office, I might be of some help" Ferron offered
IC: Zuriana"Of course. Have you been to Onu-Koro before?" she asked.
IC: Ferron"Once" Ferron replied. "Back with my Toa Team, we were here to help in the flooding of the Great Mine".Ferron's mind drifted off to his days adventuring with his teammates; a happy, meaningful existence, as opposed to the hollow life he lead now."Those were the days" he said out loud.
IC: TarnokTarnok snapped out of his momentary silence, and looked to Payiges who seemed confused as to what had just happened. "Hello, Mrs.... Payiges, was it?"He held a hand up, as the Toa towered over him. "Ussalmatoran Tarnok, Seventh Squadron, formerly under the command of Sulov Koskium."
IC: KrellToa Team. The words shot through my mind like an arrow, slicing through what little control I had over my mind. Needless to say, the pain began again, so great that I quite nearly passed out from the sheer amount of it.Cave, dark, cold... Sensations whipped through my head, each more lifelike and real then the next. Pain, sharp, pain. Burning, cutting... growing pain. Loneliness. I was alone. Left behind. It was all too much for me, and I lost my footing on the cave floor. Thankfully, my relexes remained as sharp as ever, and my hand shot out to catch myself before I hit the ground. I rose, unsteady, muttering, "Must've slipped on something."I didn't exactly want anyone to know what was gloing on.
IC: FerronFerron noticed Krell's slip-up, and his quick reaction, nodding slightly to show his approval."Quick reflexes, can make a huge difference in a fight. And judging from the way he's walking he's been in one fairly recently, his leg isn't looking too good""You've got talent, kid" Ferron said out loud. "With the proper time I could probably teach you a thing or two"
OOC: Wasn't the Great Mine blown up, not flooded?
IC: ZurianaZuria could tell something was wrong. She had found herself walking slightly behind Ferron after Krell had 'slipped', and tis was helpful as she narrowed her eyes in concern. Another vision? Another memory? I'll have to find out once we're alone.
IC: Krell"Yeah, sure, thanks," I said not turning around. I didn't mean to sound that way, and something was telling me that I would have won a fight if I did have more skill.I couldn't remember the fight, so it was probably a while ago. Unfortunately, I was faced with another problem. As we got closer to the Village of Earth, the amount of lightstones on the walls increased, so did the visiability. This meant a higher chance of the unconscious Toa floating behind us being seen, and that would bring questions I didn't want to answer. Not with words, anyway. So, I was force to lower the body to the ground, still concealed in the darkness, and hope that he didn't wake up anytime soon.
OOC: According to the BZPRPG news, the Great Mine is "still flooded"IC: Ferron"Yeah, sure, thanks"Ferron could tell Krell was stressed for some reason. Maybe that fall had more to it than it seemed. He looked down, to say something to Zuriana, only to notice she was not there anymore. She hadn't gotten past him so Ferron looked behind to see Zuria tailing behind, eyes fixed on Krell. But Ferron noticed something more, he could hear a low scraping, almost like something massive was lowered to the ground. He stopped, and stared into the darkness behind him."Did you hear something?" he asked, archiving Zuriana's odd stare in the back of his mind for the time being.
IC: Krell"No...?" I said, stopping as well. I felt my pulse pounding in my head as I turned around... If he found out..."Must have been the miners, they have tunnels extending all over this place, I wouldn't be surprised if a few are right next to us right now," I said, hoping that the Toa of Iron would believe me. That unconscious Toa was not something I needed him asking about. "Besides, Onu-Koro should be right around there," I added, indicating a bend in the tunnel with my thumb. "So you might have heard something from there..."
IC: FerronFerron noticed the panicking tone in Krell's voice, and decided on a subtle approach. As a long-time Toa of Iron, Ferron had also learned how to sense his element at a certain distance, and as he extended his feelers, he detected a large mass of metal lying right outside the reach of the lightstones. He could make out different metals, slowly giving him the image of a Toa-sized being lying motionless on the floor."Is this kid dragging a corpse around?" Ferron wondered.A closer look confirmed the Toa was alive."Well, well, well. Keeping secrets are we? I can't say I blame you"."Probably" Ferron said out loud with a shrug, accepting Krell's official explanation, "now let's get to that delivery office".
IC: KrellI sighed, inwardly, not quite realising the extent of a Toa of Iron's power. "Yeah, lets go... Lots of Rahi down here, not such a good idea to stay in one place," I said, starting again down the tunnel. Up ahead, light could be seen coming from the enterance of the tunnel, and my sensitive eye were momentarily blinded from it.I blinked multiple times, trying to clear the greenish after-image.
OOC: This is getting better and better with every post.IC: Ferron"Now, how do we find the delivery office. Zuria, I'm assuming you know your way around?" Ferron queried."I'll have to keep an eye on Krell, the mysteries around him have definitely got my attention"
IC: Zuriana"Yes of course," Zuria attempted to put a smile back on but she was still worried about Krell. "right this way."With that, the Matoran led them through the meandering huts of Onu-Koro, heading for the delivery office, which was on the other side of town to the small tunnel they had entered from. A few passer-bys waved or smiled at her, occasionally giving odd looks to her company, who they didn't recognise. Many smiled at them too, assuming good things of them due to apparently being friends with Zuria.
IC: FerronFerron noticed the odd mixture of curious and welcoming looks the passers-by gave the two, Krell in particular recieving looks of suspicion and confusion."I guess being a Toa does not equal a free pass to acceptance by the public anymore"
OOC: Oh you wait, it gets better. :3IC: Krell [Onu-Koro]As I followed Zuria through the Koro, I noticed that I was getting some odd looks. I knew why. From what I'd seen so far, I wasn't exactly what you'd call a normal Toa. For example, most Toa didn't have a tail, which I was currenlty dragging along on the ground noiselessly. Then again there was the armor. From what I gathered from the looks, rusted armor like mine generally meant bad for some reason...
