IC - Veira - Ko-Koro"I agree. I'm not really in the mood to try something new anyway."She stepped through the wreckage, the debris blocking her way behaving itself and moving to the side. In the totaled building, she hadn't been able to feel the full chill of the Koro itself. Now, outside, her toes were freezing up and the wind was sharp. She didn't mind overly, however."Shall we?"
IC: "I should think you shall."Paka's wearied tread bespoke of an exhaustion brought about by sleepless nights. Its arms and legs moved forward limply to carry it forward, striding to the two toa amid the wreckage. Yet its speech did not waver. The matoran stopped. It glanced at the Ba-Toa apologetically. "I do hate to interrupt, but time is short and I'd like to speak with you, Veira. And you..."Paka turned towards the male. "You are the one who obtained for this lady medical care, correct?"OOC: Worst Paka IC evar.

  • ICVerak took a bite of a bar, chewing it thoughtfully and leaning against the back of the bench. He observed the village they were approaching from above. Looking down between the two glaciers, he could see that blacked and melted ice houses lay around, and the pile of snow from the avalanche covered a good part of the village. But already the Ko-Koronans were working hard shoveling off the snow from the avalanche and rebuilding houses. "Well that's interestin'. I would be surprised if Makuta attacked the village. Now, logically, Makuta could have completely destroyed the it. Still not sure why we're all alive. But then... maybe Ko-Koro has something he wants. That might be it. Anyway, no Rahi's big or powerful enough to do this. At least I hope not..." Verak's train of thought trailed off. "Doesn't really matter though, doesn't it. As long as Veilah's Turaga's still alive."

As the group of searchers began to approach the mountain, Kivar began to pick up some odd echos from his sonar. The only thing he had heard like that before was a cave. "Madrihk, there may be a couple caves up ahead. Perfect place to hide the hostages. We should take a look. Do uou want me to ensure that we can't be heard? Note that I can't use my sonar and do that at the same time."OOC:I think sonar coud pick up a cave, but I think we should search a couple just too be realistic before we go trampling in on them.Auron, Velan is in Ko-koro's ruins, I would persume?IC:Cy turned and saw a being digging in the ruins of the damaged Ko-Koro. • OOCVerak, Velan, and Vielah. They're all two syllable words with similar letters and sounds. It's like they're meant to be together. :PIC Verak walked down a paved path, moving past the ruins of the low buildings. Glowstone lamps and pine trees also lined the path. A Sanctum guard pulled a Ko-Matoran out of the ruin of a hut. Verak looked down and moved on, looking as inconspicuous as possible. He glanced at the ruins. He didn't mind seeing the destruction. He didn't mind this entire walk. He didn't really care where he was going. He wasn't enjoying it, or doing this for the heck of it. Verak just didn't care, so he kept walking.A cry echoed through the ruins. Verak couldn't make out the words, but it was a familiar voice. Velan. As he had nothing else to do, he turned and ran towards the voice, pulling out his two arm blades. A grin grew on his mouth. Something to do. Something entertaining. He was going to fight someone. If Velan was upset, someone had to be causing the pain, and Verak would happily return the favor. He jumped over a pile of ice and snow, landing in a roll and turning. He skidded across the street on the slippery ice, but gained traction, stayed upright, and moved on. He laughed as he approached Velan. She was lying on the ground in a particularly ruined area of the city. Two attackers stood over her- a green toa and a purple one. Gravity. Verak hated toa of gravity."Hey, Piraka!" he yelled, "Say hi!"

  • OOC: Sorry for the wait, VF.IC: RavageRavage mulled over the question for a minute. "The best place to examine him would probably be Ga-Koro. It has the nearest hospital, and thus, the nearest coroner."
OOC: Eually sorry for the wait, but I think I can get back into posting this week ^^IC:Rewera was silent for a few moments, thinking the situation over. Then she nodded. "I had hoped we would be able to find something here, a trace of my brothers perhaps, but there is only destruction here at the moment. And I hate to leave before this village is back on its feet...but this murderer is still on the loose. Maybe we can prevent more suffering once we know how exactly this Matoran died."The female Toa sighed, then picked up the body of the Matoran once more. At first it looked like she was going to turn east, to carry the body down the side of the mountain right away, but then she turned back in the direction Ravage and her had come from, back to the village of Ko-Wahi."It is late." she said. "And I feel exhausted from the fight. We could use a few hours of rest before we journey back to Ga-Koro. And besides, we need something to cover him up." She jerked her chin at the dead Matoran in her arms. "I'd hate to see the looks we'd get in the village of water if we walked in like this. • OOC:Potentially my last post till Friday or later. Lesson: Don't insult Vorok. He tends to be quite confrontational. IC: The shouted insults had a potentially desired effect. The shouter's weight was decreased to where Aqua Magna's gravity would not hold him down, likely shooting him high in the air, perhaps up too two hundred feet. Cy couldn't help his instinct for bad puns. Waving, he shouted, "High up there!" Then, turning to the Toa charging at them, he shouted,"We're here only because we saw your friend looting, and counter-attacked after an ever-hasty water-blast. Just thought I should explain." One of snow twisters whirling behind him moved into a defensive posistion, just in case.

  • IC As Verak ran towards the two, the purple being raised his hand. Verak felt, suddenly, that every leap was taking him far farther than they should. He was light. Lighter than air. And he began to raise into the sky, leaving the ground behind. Fast. That strange weightless feeling, deep in your chest, took hold of Verak. The alleyway below him, and the four brightly coloured beings all began to shrink. He could see Ko-Koro's white houses spreading off to wither either side of him. As he raised, he could see more and more of the city. Verak hated toa of gravity. "A pleasure to meet you!" he shouted back down at the green toa. "I'm sorry my friend was picking up unused possessions from the rubble, mate! Wasn't aware it was a crime!"Then he threw his blade with perfect, Calix augmented precision. If Vorok tried to dodge, Verak would follow up with another superfast blade, thrown where Vorok had to go to dodge the first. If the toa of gravity was fast, he might be able to dodge both of them. But it would take a some concentration, forcing him to partially release either Verak or Velan. Even if he used gravity to stop both blades, holding four things with gravity exhausted one rather fast.

  • IC:Vorok simply held his sheild in the path of the blade headed for him, using his own Calix for the reflexes to block the fast blade. His focus was reduced slightly, however, and Verak began to descend slightly, enough to drop him to perhaps fifty feet or so. The other blade passed too close to one of Cy's cyclones as it moved into the defensive posistion. It was sucked in and spat out into an empty but wrecked hut. Cy shouted, "Stop the fighting and I'll make sure you don't get arrested, since Vorok only did that in response to your insult. Charges on the looting might even be dropped if your friend agrees to put the stuff back and actually go buy that kind of stuff, though that depends on the opinion of the Guard. "

  • IC"Arrested?" Verak shouted from the sky. "For what, brother? Ye're the one who attacked first!" It was getting hard to hear him, and Verak was pretty sure a drop from this height would be deadly. If only he still had that gukko he had last time he went to Ko-Wahi. Of course, last time he became a wanted criminal. And now he needed to be lowered. If Vorok let Verak go, the toa of stone would quickly turn to a little smudge of the ice coated stone below. All he needed to do was say he would stop. Easy way to get to the ground. He took a second to think about it then said, "But I'm a charitable man! I surrender!" before his stubbornness got him killed.

At a height of about five feet, he suddenly let go, initiating what might be a mildly painful fall on Verak's rear, his form of revenge for the insult. With that taken care of, they turned to the Toa of Fire, Cy keeping one of his cyclones near the former foe as a defensive measure. He added, "I must have a case of short-sight in the head here-not sure what I'd charge you with! But the important thing is just that we find a workable solution for your friend." He kept an eye on the other while Vorok looked at the Toa of Fire.OOC:Last post till later this week.
