IC: IrisIris blocked the strike. He stood there, ready to block. "No, neither of us can. Unless one of us slips up. So what do you propose?"
IC: MixmasterHe smiled, which was illigal in most Koros, and said, "We keep on going untill both of us pass out from loss of blood and we are locked up by the Ta-Koro guard for a very long time. Or... We leave now under a..... truce."Mixmaster pointed his sword at Iris, "So whats it going to be Toa?"He managed to make 'Toa' sound like an insult.
IC: IrisIris paused. "Truce?" He paused again. "Alright. You call your buddy there off from my friend, and you have a deal. Skakdi."
IC: Mixmaster"Very well," the Skakdi said, putting away his mace, but he kept out his sword.Mixmaster casually walked over to Crankcase and grabbed the smaller Skakdi by his throat, lifting him off his feet."You're coming with me," He said to him.The Skakdi of Earth turned back to Iris, who he was begining to respect; even if it only was because of his combat abilities, and said, "Now, no one follows us, and no one follows you. We go our separate ways. Deal?"
IC: IrisIn his head, Jikal raged. On the outside, "Deal." Iris smirked. He had a feeling that he would be seeing this Skakdi again.
OOC: Plot twist! Iris and Mixmaster team up to defeat their foes!
IC: MixmasterHe nodded, and turned to walk away from the scene. A Toa tried to stop him, but the unfortunate being was blown back through a wall. It was too hard to tell if Mixmaster had shot him, or just punched him.The two final made it out of Ta-Koro and into the charred forrest. As Mixmaster set Crankcase down, he couldn't shake the feeling that he would see that Toa of Lightning again...
OOC: I assume you meant my Toa of Fire, Acrophobia. Otherwise I'll edit.IC: Tawara, NPC Toa of Fire, Ta-KoroThe Guard lay near death, his wounds bleeding copiously, drifting in and out of consciousness.Tawara watched, stunned but very much relieved, as Mixmaster walked away, a struggling Crankcase slung over his shoulder. When she was quite sure the Skakdi was gone, the Matoran nocked an arrow -- it never hurt to be prepared -- and walked cautiously out into the square, approaching her injured friends."Jikal? Kitsune? I can't believe you en't dead! Why did the Skakdi leave?" she asked as she emerged from the Inn.
IC: IrisIris' head swiveled to look at Tawara. "Don't mistake me for that fool, Jikal, Tawara. I am far more than he."
IC: Kitsune, Ta-KoroKitsune stumbled as she walked over to Tawara and Iris, falling to the stone with a sound of pain. She was clearly in pain from her multiple wounds.
IC: "Do you mind just telling me we're leaving next time, rather than picking me up by the throat? Quite uncomfortable." Crankcase complained, dusting himself off. He kicked a charcoal tree in boredom, causing it to crumble and collapse.
IC: Mixmaster"No," he stated, "You wouldn't listen anyother way."
IC: Tawara, Ta-Koro"You--the green--what--that's why!" stammered Tawara. She started to back away, then ran, until she was nine or ten bio away from the Toa of Lightning. She raised her bow, but did not fire. "Hang on--are all of you like this?" she asked, her gaze shifting to Kitsune and then back to Iris.
IC: Jikal/IrisIris' eyes began to flicker between green and blue. Jikal's voice was clearly audible as he said "Iris, get out of my head!" A moment later, his Mark stopped glowing and his eyes reverted to blue. He looked at Tawara. "No, that is not the reason for the glow. And no, we aren't all like this. I'm a special case." Jikal said bitterly. He ran over to Kitsune, ignoring the screaming of his now bleeding rather heavily shoulder. "Kitsune, are you alright?"
IC: Kitsune, Ta-KoroKitsune moaned softly once, and then tried to speak, faltering after a few words. "Jikal...Iris...Help..." With that, she fell into unconsiousness.IC: Raion, Ta-KoroRaion began to make his way back towards the Lavapool Inn, having finished some buisness.
IC: Gyren was smiling as he carried Hatchet's body. He seemed oblivious to Tawara as she exited the inn. Gyren tripped over her, landing flat on his face. The body rolled a few feet away from him. Gyren got up and rubbed his bruised mask. He looked around before seeing Tawara. "Oh hello again." Gyren said with a smile. It seemed dissonant as he picked up Hatche'ts limp form.
IC: Gunner - Magma LoungeGunner snarled, before stalking out of the bar, stopping just outside the threshold. Raising his arms into the sky, he sent a massive gust of wind through the city, heading straight for the Lounge. It wasn't nearly powerful enough to cuase any damage, but it would gather some attention, which they could use.Turning back to Grochi, he smiled, "What were you saying about 'blowing the ship around' again Grochi?"-Void
IC: Slowly and steadily, Durzan slid the whetstone down his sword. In the corner of the meeting hut, Metack and Haitol laid a map of Ta-Koro across the benches. Putting his blade down, he walked on over to them.To his surprise, he saw the normally anti-social Metack engaging in tactics with Haitol.
IC: Tawara, Ta-Koro"You again?" asked Tawara. "Why are you carrying the dog...?" she said to Gyren. At that moment, Kitsune whimpered and Tawara turned back around. The Toa's wounds were beginning to take their toll."Oh, no! She's out cold! We need to get her to a hospital!" Tawara said. She tore a length of fabric from her cloak and wrapped it around Kitsune's torso, hopefully staunching the flow of blood for now. The Matoran retrieved her arrows, placed them back into her quiver, and unstrung her bow."Wait..." said Tawara. "You said the hospital was destroyed, didn't you? And then the Inn was used for a hospital, but now the Inn's abandoned, so... karz." She paused. "I got a little experience healing, but nothing like this. How long do you think she's got? Think we could find a doctor?" she asked Jikal. "Once we get out of this, you're telling me about that green-eye thing," she added.
IC: Gyren brushed off his duster. He lifted up the body and slung it over one shoulder. He quickly looked Kitsune over, noting the wounds and how deep each one was. "Research, this Skakdi has a different physiology than most given it's outward appearance. She's obviously out cold but she could use one or two stitches. All her internal organs seem to be intact and that green Toa shouldn't be able to stand right now." Gyren replied to Tawara. He looked around the ruined street. For a split second, Gyren's smile seemed to disappear as he saw the bodies of Matoran and Toa strewn all over.
IC: JikalJikal's eyes briefly flicked toward Gyren, then back to Kitsune. "The brakas is right. Her wounds aren't too serious. Once they've been cleaned up and bandaged, she should do just fine."
IC: Tawara, Ta-Koro"Well, I guess you've encountered more wounds than I have. Fine, then. There a source of water nearby?" Tawara asked.
OOC: You guys seem to forgot she took a lazer to the knee shoulder. XDIC: Raion, Ta-KoroRaion turned the corner, only a few blocks from the Lavapool Inn.
IC-Grochi:"Well, you certainly just proved you can, Mr. First Mate," Grochi said, sipping at some cider. "After all, you just went out and wasted energy for a useless task that gained you nothing but some obscure sense of satisfaction." He set down the cider, looking over at Gunner."At least blowing the ship around did something," he said, grinning. "But that...useless. My friend, I think you need some psychological help." He laughed slightly.IC: Gunner - Magma LoungeGunner snarled, before stalking out of the bar, stopping just outside the threshold.
IC: GunnerGunner's smile dropped, but only momentarily, as he used his power to send a gust of wind at Grochi, just enough to send his cup of cider flying. Into the Toa's face.-Void
IC: Gyren nodded in agreement. The Toa let Hatchet's corpse slump against a wall. He walked into the inn before coming out a few minutes later. In his arms was various balms and a thread. He smiled, showing off the hook-like needle in his teeth. "Take one of the balms and apply it to her shoulder. There's probably a water basin in there and brakas are interesting creatures. Elongated limbs and that annoyingly loud "kau kau" sound."
OOC: Completely ignoring the fact that we just left Onu without finding Atiel...IC: LekuaThe heat washed over Lekua as the party of Matoran rode out of the tunnel, the ussals' legs clattering along the black igneous rock that made up the pavement. He was glad to be out in the open again - Matoran of Air weren't meant for the underground - but the heat was nearly as bad as the staleness of Onu-Koro's air. He glanced over at Stannis. "This is your home-village, right?" he asked.
IC-Grochi:Grochi smiled, teleporting out of the way of the gust of wind. In so doing, he tipped over a small bottle. This tipped over another bottle, which broke. The liquid coming from the bottle tripped up a waiter, and he tossed his tray as he fell to the ground. This tray hit another patron, and in anger he threw a knife in the direction the tray had come from. The knife hit a twine holding up a small painting, which fell as it was cut off. The painting flipped a fork around as it fell, with the fork coming to rest in a Skakdi's foot. This Skakdi, now angered, swung out a fist at the table from which the fork came. This just so happened to be the table Grochi, Gunner, and Raknar were at. The fist hit Gunner in the back of the head, not hard enough to cause too much damage, though it did knock him down. Face-first into the cider from the bottle that Grochi broke."Now, are you done?" Grochi asked calmly, smiling.OOC: Rube Goldberg Machine FTW.
IC: Tawara, Ta-Koro"I take it you're an expert healer?" asked Tawara as she smeared the ointment over Kitsune's shoulder. She probably should have said she was sorry for punching him earlier, but she couldn't quite get the apology out of her mouth. She had never been very good at things like that.
IC: Gyren seemed to chuckle. "Of course not! I cut up bodies and study them. I know how things function and why they don't after a fight." he replied as he prepared the suturing needle. However, he got distracted as he retrieved the palm-sized notebook in his pocket and opened up to a diagram of a Toa.
IC: Tawara, Ta-KoroTawara's guilt at punching the Toa immediately vanished."Wait, what?" Tawara placed herself protectively in front of Kitsune. "You en't going to... you know, do that now, are you?"
OOC: Demas from Le-Wahi.IC: DemasAn odd smile played across the Toa of Magnetism's lips as he reached the edge of the jungle. The lush, green forest fell away, giving rise to what Demas felt to be far more attractive scenery - another forest, but this one burned, blackened, and scarred. He stepped up to the nearest of the dead trees and ran his hand over it slowly. His master's presence was strong here, in these trees, in this place of death and despair.Demas shook his head. He had somewhere to go; he could admire the trees later. As he entered the forest of burnt trees, the golden light of Le-Wahi's jungle was quickly drowned out by the reddish-orange light of the Charred Forest.
IC: "Well she isn't dead... yet." Gyren laughed ominously as he closed up his notebook. He levitated the suturing set over to Tawara. Without a sound Gyren had slipped out his scalpel and laid Hatchet on the ground. He worked incredibly fast as bits of black armor flew off the corpse. The twin disk launchers laid on the ground next to him. "You know how to sew right? It's just like that." Gyren said as his scalpel cut through Hatchet's skin. His eyes seemed to narrow as he inspected the muscle fibers of the Skakdi-beast. He took out his notebook once more and jotted down more notes in his indecipherable shorthand.
IC: Tawara, Ta-Koro"I en't the world's best seamstress," admitted Tawara, "but I'll try my best."
IC: JikalJikal sighed. The world had gone insane. He looked back to Kitsune, unaware that Raion was on his way, and would likely blame Jikal.
IC: Raion, Ta-KoroAs Tawara worked on Kitsune, a deep, gravelly voice spoke from behind them. "May I ask why you're stiching up my sister?" Raion asked from where he leaned against a building, his voice laced with suppressed rage.
IC: JikalJikal moved between Tawara and Raion. "Raion, calm down. Let's talk about this, okay?" With his post-battle fatigue, and having just completed a personality transfer, he probably looked very guilty.
IC: Gyren stood up to see where the intimidating voice was coming from. "Well we were saving your sister from a death due to blood lose and pain butttt I guess we can stop if you really want us to." Gyren replied. He wiped his blood stained hands off on Hatchet's armor. He picked up one of Hatchet's disk launchers and held it up to the sun.
IC:Nichou groaned. After a refreshing trip home and a ussal ride, they arrived at ta-koro, which is even more sweltering than po-koro! and to top it all off there isn't that fresh scent in the air like in onu-koro. Nichou shielded his eyes from the sun while the ussal followed the path and lekua asked some questions to stannis.OOC: Completely ignoring the fact that we just left Onu without finding Atiel... IC: Raion, Ta-KoroRaion glared at Jikal, refusing to answer, only to whip his head around when Gyran spoke. "I know you're patching her up." He said slowly, his every word punctuated with anger and rage. "I was asking her why she was doing it."
IC: JikalJikal stepped forward. "Raion. All the doctors fled the Lavapool Inn. We didn't know where to go. She wasn't hurt too badly, so we performed the first aid ourselves."
