Techna: Breakdown

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan sighed, and continued to absorb the electricity, as he made his way over to the catapult, and activated his map."Let's go." Kairan muttered under his breath, as he jumped in, and hopefully was catapulted toward the shield, which he was focusing on keeping disabled.

IC: Gust (The Citadel, New Metru Nui)"Alright!" he yelled to the team. "We head out to the Techna Nui now. If you're coming, fine. If not, we can do without you."The Toa Techna of Air walked out of the Situation Room and into the hallway.-Teezy

IC (Citadel): Solia followed Gust, carrying her staff.

IC-Kal:"Finally," Kal said, stepping out with his rifle in hand. He walked up next to Gust. "So, free the captives, then find the water, right?" He smiled. "I didn't really listen to the whole plan. Too busy eating."

IC: OnuzekThe massive Toa lumbered out after Solia. He hadn't really said much for the past couple of minutes.IC: HonnakThe Glatorian picked up his shotgun, and strapped it to his back along with Jade's rifle. He cracked his knuckles on his remaining hand and followed Gust.Honnak was grinning. "This aught to be fun."

IC: Skyra - Citadel -Skyra followed Gust out into the hallway.

IC: Esao (CHI Building, New Metru Nui)With my arm still around Mars, partly because I needed the stability and partly because I just wanted to keep holding someone, I walked into the cafeteria, looking for dinner. I hadn't eaten since breakfast...6:25 P.M."Ugh, I'm starved," I said, looking around and seeing Krayzikk and a couple other CTU employees.-Teezy

​IC (Citadel Canteen): Zongu chomped down another packet of crisps, a broad grin on his face as he noticed the other CHI people nearby. He got up and stood with them, and with a mouthful of crisps, mumbled, "Alright fellas."

IC: Uuril (Cafeteria)The Toa of Light snapped to attention again, this time because Esao had walked in."Sir!" Uuril said.

IC: Twila - Krahzia -Twila wandered around the new hacker city aimlessly, looking bored and care free. "There's just nothing to do around here." She said with a yawn. "I'm soooooo bored." OOC: Open for interaction, though I have to warn you...she's trouble

IC (Citadel Canteen): "'Ello, sir, good to see ya!" Zongu greeted, then straightened up a bit upon noticing Uuril's formality.

IC: Mror (Krahzia)"I have to agree with you, young lady." Mror commented to Twila. He sat on a stone nearby, holding the book he rescued from the Techna Nui. "But there isn't much to do about it, is there?"

IC: Twila - Krahzia -Twila looked at the Vortixx with delight, happy someone was giving her some attention. She walked over to him with some enthusiasm. "Well...if we both share the same problem...maybe we could both fix the problem..."

IC: AMTaOS (w/Kairan) / Test Chamber D-4Kairan made it through to the other side - now there was only the door and the large red button on the floor, which no doubt was there to hold the door open.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC - Reet - CafeteriaReet stopped at the door, giving Mars and Esao small salutes."Oh, hello captain," he said, his heart rate meter falling back down gradually, "I'll buy you two lunch. How does that sound?"

GM: Esao (CHI Building, New Metru Nui)"Oh, quit it," I snapped, moving towards a grill where burgers were cooking at a beautifully rapid pace. "You're embarrassing yourselves."Suddenly, my link activated and I picked it up, cursing silently. "This is Esao."A sigh, long-winded and sad. My heart dropped into my stomach."Et tu, Esao?"My heart froze and shattered."Hello, Ilya."He sighed."CHI, huh? You were elite. One of the best. I never even began to suspect you.""Good. I did my job well, then.""Too well. You were like a son, Esao. Family watches out for each other.""Not in your family, Drazen."Another sigh."You've imprisoned my entire family, Esao. My sons, my wife, even my daughter. For what? For 'justice.'""Yes. For justice.""And look where justice got you. How's the dyoxis supply around CHI these days?"My fists clenched instinctively."What do you want, Ilya?""You took my family away from me. Now, I want to take yours away from you.""I'm afraid I don't follow," I snapped sarcastically."You will."Click. Disconnected.Meanwhile, below CHI HQ, a guard dropped to his knees in agony, clutching at his chest .An assassin, lithe and powerful, stepped forward and yanked the knife out of the guard's back, sending him unceremoniously to the ground. He turned and set a small canister into the air ventilation system, poking a small hole in it and burrowing into the ground.And a clear, invisible, deadly nerve gas began to leak through the air vents...-Teezy

IC: Wade (Citadel)Wade nodded and began trailing along behind Onuzek, following the group and excited to get this mission started.IC: Alfon (Cafeteria)"Ah, it's a party now!" Alfon declared in his cheeky voice, greeting Esao with an exaggerated salute and Zongu a nod."Looks like everyone's hungry, 'cept me of course, all coming to the cafeteria to eat some of that nasty grub over there and be chattity-chat-chat chattin' about. Wassup Zongu? Life been treating you goo-"Alfon's constant motor-mouth was interrupted as his chemical perception functions began picking up something in the atmosphere, something which wasn't supposed to be around."You guys smell something? 'Cause my receptors are indicating that there's stuff coming from the vents. Analyzing now." he said, analyzing whatever gas was pouring into the room.

And a clear, invisible, deadly nerve gas began to leak through the air vents...

OOC: Bah. It's not as good as my deadly neurotoxin.IC: AMTaOS (w/Kairan) / Test Chamber D-4The door opened the moment Kairan stepped on the button, and closed the moment he got off.IC: Ezraftin / New Metru-NuiEzraftin looked up, as if he had just come out a trance (which he had). "The CHI is in danger." he said.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC: Esao (CHI Building, New Metru Nui)My eyes widened and I sent out a blast of heat, irradiating all sources of non-oxygen in the room, whether the scent of food or otherwise. I pressed a button and the air vents all closed."Protox," I said, cursing loudly. "We're being hit with nerve gas."OOC: This nerve gas kills in ten seconds tops. Just keep waiting.-Teezy

-==IC: Kairan//Test Chamber==-Kairan sighed, and attempted to place one of his dual swords on the button, to see if that would work.

OOC: Have a Mask of Clairvoyance. Can't even save a building full of Lawful Netural guards...IC: AMTaOS (w/Kairan) / Test Chamber D-4The button wasn't weighed down enough. Maybe one of those steel blocks would work, though, like the one underneath the tube on the other side.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC-Kal:Kal turned over to Gust, smelling something odd. "Hey Gust, you smell something?" He said, his throat oddly tight. He turned over to Onuzek, raising his eyebrow.

-==IC: Kairan==-"Lemme guess, claw arm again?" Kairan asked, just to be certain that's what he needed, as he put away his sword once more.

OOC: Oh dear god, Tyler has gone insane. IC: Emma - CHI Tower/Landing Platform/HovershipEmma activated her elemental power over nucleons, analyzing the air inside the CHI. What she found terrified her."It's like the biggest mess of toxic elements this world has ever seen," she gasped, "They'll never survive it."Whirling around, she started back for the entrance, "Ezraftin, what element are you?"-Void

IC: Ezraftin / New Metru-Nui"Light." he replied, running towards the landing platform from the ship, and quickly opening the door.He looked back. "Poison doesn't effect me. I'll try to save as many people as I can."With that, he disappeared into the CHI building.IC: AMTaOS (w/Kairan) / Test Chamber D-4"No. You have to cut your leg off."A couple seconds passed, and the metallic claw descended to move Kairan back over.-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC: Alfon (CHI Cafeteria)Alfon was done analyzing the gas filling in from the vents, the results indicating it was a nerve gas and Esao just confirmed it. Luckily for them, he had closed off the vents, saving all of them."Well then...now it's a party!" Alfon exclaimed, giddy with excitement and not visibly bothered that their lives were in danger.

IC (CHI Cafeteria): Zongu instinctively clapped his hand over his mouth. Whatever it was, it smelt bad. Or was that the cheese that guy on the other side of the room was eating? Either way, this was not someone who was going to be exposed to such a toxic gas if they could help it.

OOC: Of course not. Wouldn't be a very realistic terrorist attack if most people lived, would it?Also, CHI and Citadel are two different buildings. No nerve gas in the Citadel.IC: Esao (CHI Building, New Metru Nui)"This is Esao," I yelled into my comm unit. "CHI is under attack from the Drazen cabal! Everyone get to the nearest designated safe room. I've shut down the air vents to the Situation Room, Security Office Beta, and the offices of the Special Agent in Charge and the Director of Field--"I stopped cold as I saw Drexel Bane, Chief of Staff, my field partner, and my best friend, stagger out of the bullpen, already foaming at the mouth and trying futility to stand."Dear God, no," I said quietly, tearing up. I tried to move forward, open the door, let him in, save him, for God's sake, but I was stopped by two robotic arms: Krayzikk."It's too late, Esao, he's gone...""Esao?" Drexel mouthed, his spine curling into a reverse fetal position and his fingers twisting into an unnatural position. As I watched, my partner died, stuck just feet outside the safe zone."NO, NO, NO--" I cried out, tears running down my face freely. "Drazen, you mother--!"A siren began to blare through the Counter Hacker Initiative building, warning all survivors to get away.-Teezy

-==IC: Kairan==-Kairan rolled his eyes, as he landed back on the other side. This time, he concentrated on keeping the wall of electricity down again, however, sent the block flying across the room first, hoping that it made it all the way across, so that he could follow it.OOC: What does that red button on the pillar do, anyway?

IC - Reet - CafeteriaReet's eyes widened. Gas was filling the room even now. He felt a pit in his stomache as nerve gas filled the room. If he was lucky, it wouldn't heighten his heart rate much. Of course, of it did..."Esao, we've got to stop this."He ran to the nearest door, slamming himself against it, to no avail. He would die (literally and figuratively) if his friends- his brothers -were slain. He knew he could break the door with his mask...but he couldn't use his mask. Not since the experiment. He ran to Esao. Esao was the image of hope in this situation."What do we do, sir?"

IC (CHI): Realising the air vents had stopped the gas flow, Zongu took his hand away and shot the cheese with his arm blaster, breathing a sigh of relief."We've got to help everyone else outta here!" he told the others, stating the obvious.

IC: Ezraftin / CHI BuildingEzraftin was already getting people out even before the siren, directing any civilians or non-combatants out first - the well trained guard knew the procedures well enough they could go alone.This couldn't end well. That was certain. But he could help as many people as possible...-Toa Levacius Zehvor

IC: Mror"There are many problems around here." Mror said. "Which would you be referring to? And what would be your proposed solution?"IC: KrayzikkKrayzikk cursed. He was immune to gas attacks, after all, he was a robot. But nobody else could say the same.

-==IC: Zero//CHI Detention Center==-Zero's eyes flickered, as he detected a warning-level amount of toxic gas throughout the rest of the building, and dashed over toward the control panel."Hmph; looks like you're stuck here, regardless of what you want." Zero muttered, and sighed."Though, from the looks of it, if I'm not in time, it won't be for long anyway." Zero said, as his robotic finger began to type on the control panel rapidly, aiming to shut the vents before the gas got through...

IC: Krym (CHI Cafeteria)Krym grimaced. He always did have a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.A routine job fixing some machines in the CHI cafeteria, and now the entire building was filling up with deadly gas."Terrific." He looked back out at the main area, hoping that his record for bad luck wouldn't get him killed.

IC: VorexVorex jumped up, heading towards the ventilation shafts. He used his tentacles to grab large objects, and used them to cover the ventilation shafts. They wouldn't last long, but they would buy Zero some time.

IC: Emma - CHI TowerEmma, not being a robot or anything akin, she would still be quite vulnerable to the toxins. However, she had control over nucleons, and was at least partially able to disrupt the neurotoxin around her, allowing her a small amount of protection.Running as quickly as possible to avoid as much of the toxin as possible. She was forced to split her concentration between locating and disrupting the toxin's atoms, and saving as many people as possible. However, within a few minutes, the effects of the neurotoxin were apparent. Her vision was becoming increasingly blurred, and her muscles felt like lead.As she slipped further into darkness, she lost her ability to disrupt the toxin. She fell to her knees, all the while trying to keep herself awake."Help," she moaned, as she fell to the ground, "Please help."-Void

-==IC: Zero//CHI Detention Center==-"Well, at least you know what to do. Unless you're in on this." Zero muttered, but shook his head."But, then again, unless you planned on doing that from the start, they wouldn't gas somewhere where their buddies are." Zero shrugged, and continued to seal off the entire detention center; including the doors and prison cells.I'm not going to allow a prison break, but I want to at least try and save people. Though, if I fail, it doesn't really matter if they're sealed in or not...
