IC: RavageRavage nodded. "Well, to start with, can you describe their general appearance?"He smirked. "Manual searching is not my only method."
IC: VahliiNot missing a beat, Vahlii led the trio to a small walk-in cafe where a few tables awaited them in the back patio, a rather nice ambiance since it's floating on water. Grabbing a chair, she waited for the others and the waiter to arrive.
IC: AlexinAlexin quietly sat down, and looked around. He had been to Ga-Koro before, so nothing surprised him, but it still struck him how warm it was.It was for that very reason Alexin took off his coat, and put it on the back of his chair, revealing the suit he wore beneath. He straightened his glasses. "Intriguing. In Ko-Koro, all establishments are inside, for obvious reasons."
IC: VahliiVahlii took note of Alexin's suit, not used to seeing one. Such clothing wasn't very common on the island, so much that she could only recall ever having seen them twice. Alexin really seemed to fit the bill for his job."If you find this intriguing, I can understand where your boss is coming from." she smirked. "Are you opposed to travelling? Or do you just take too much after the comfort of your own home?"
IC: AlexinAlexin seemed rather confused. "My job is to protect and serve the village of Ko-Koro, and it's surrounding area. What reason would I have to leave?"
IC: VahliiAlexin's confusion and question were almost considered stupid in Vahlii's book but she knew better than to be judgemental of another."Ever heard of a vacation? Going to help other Koros in need?"
IC: Alexin"I'm an Inspector." Alexin replied. "I'm not military, I'm part of the police force. If reinforcements were sent to another village, they wouldn't send me."Then his face shifted to on of mild pride. "And I have the best attendance record of anyone in the Guard. I haven't missed a day in one hundred and fifty years."OOC: For the record, my scale for bionicle age is 10 years = 1 year. Alexin, in our years, is about 30.
OOC: That's a good age scale. Vahlii would be about 28.IC: VahliiVery subtly, Vahlii dug her face into the palm of her hand and mouthed the words 'oh my god' while her face remained hidden from Alexin. Not a single day missed within a span of one hundred and fifty years? She had the feeling the inspector wasn't joking.Workaholic much. "I think you should get a medal for that, a trophy actually. An early retirement too to top it off. Kudos to you, most people would go crazy doing that with such a stressful job."
IC: AlexinAlexin practically looked panicked. "No, no. I like my job. I get bored without it. I ran out of books to read at the library."
IC: Savina - Ga-Wahi -Savina was just finishing her bow when Anthyn said it was time to move. Without hesitation she stood up and fastened the bow to her back. "As you wish." She said rather cheerfully. She seemed to have more energy than before. The color of her armor, while still really pale, seemed to be less bleached looking than before. She walked beside Anthyn, matching her pace. IC: Skyra - Ga-koro -I looked at Krian, though this time, I didn't see him as an enemy, he'd changed...he wasn't the same as before, he was broken. I also had changed quite a bit since we'd last met. "You're right, I probably couldn't of done anything. I'm just sorry I didn't have the chance to...." Then out of nowhere, a wild Onuzek appeared. I got crushed by a bear hug. "Hey big guy, I missed ya too..." I said in a strained, but amused voice. Then, out of nowhere, A strange Toa of Plasma that happened to be named Vitate asked me a question. I was still being crushed with a hug as I replied. "Why yes, they are. Can I ask what your name is? Since you know mine and all."Mimira looked at Pearl. "Yeah! Let's go before my brother breaks free from the giant!" I ahemed at Mimira as she tried to lead Pearl away. "Don't. You. Go. Anywhere. Okay?" I said with a smile, and rather wild, dangerous eyes that only an oldest sibling could create. Mimira froze in place as she turned around to look at Skyra. "Drat."Ic: Anthyn, she heard someone say."Who's there?" she sputtered. Savina wasn't speaking. This voice came from inside the Valkyr's head, not without.Anthyn, it's me."Oh, you," she said, recognizing it. It seemed distant but familiar, like a long-lost friend. It felt like eons since she heard it.Anthyn, you know what you are. Now know your destiny. Know who you are. Return from whence you came and do what you were created to do. Go to the temple. Only there can you unlock your true potential."Savina, we're moving," she ordered. "There is a place, not far from here, that I have to visit, and that means you're coming with me." She seemingly rose up like a spirit, one instant on her back, the next on her feet without using her body for propulsion. The sand beneath her grew a pair of holes, the result of using her invisible wings to shove herself upright and standing."Move," she commanded and stepped into the bamboo forest. The trip would be longer on foot, but she was interested in knowing more about the earth she walked on than seeing treetops as she went. It was wiser this way, and she understood this as a pilgrimage of wisdom rather than speed.
IC: Krian"Pearl. Stay."Krian said, before looking at Skyra. "Can we agree not to kill each other? We've had a bad week."
IC, Agzinel: Agzinel (OOC: and Emarosa too, I suppose
) ran after Onuzek. There, they found him with Skyra, Tillian, Emotia, and a few others Agzinel didn't recognize. "Hey, Skyra, long time no see," Agzinel said.
IC-Vitiate:"Tenebrae," the Toa of Plasma said. "Tenebrae Incarnatum, at your service." The Lord of the Drokan bowed low to the Lieutenant. "I wonder, when is the wedding? I would very much like to be there for it."
IC: Skyra - Ga-koro -"That is fine with me, Krian...quite frankly I'm too busy with other more pressing issues anyway. Like finding the Turaga, saving the island, helping old friends get revenge, be the best man at a wedding...stuff like that." I said as Onuzek continued to squeeze the life out of me. "Oh, hi Agzinel." I said as I noticed him and his friend. I then looked at Tenerbrae. "The wedding will be...um...really soon? Probably today actually err..." I looked at Tillian. "It is today right?"
IC: Krian"I can trump that. I have to hunt down a supernatural creature who stole my soul and get it back."
IC: Skyra - Ga-koro -I blinked. "Well that blows." "Can I help him hunt her down?"Let me think about it..." I waited about three seconds. "No."
Ic: A single fisherman sat idly by the water, tossing his line into the water in hope of leisurely snatching a ghoti. He snagged one and his line tugged gently, creating ripples in the otherwise calm pond. But then he saw the water ripple from the edges far more violently than the ghoti could do, and he stared goggle eyed at the ghoti in the crystal water. The clanging of metal gears, however, told him that the little ghoti was not to blame for the violence, and he turned just in time to see the very stone face of a nearby hill open and spew out a huge ussal, and at once he was afraid. Surely the Makuta had conquered a nest of loyal crabs! But the crab was followed by a wagon and several riders mounted on similarly sized creatures. An ornately decorated carriage was at the middle followed by a train of chariots, and finally the mountain sealed itself. He dropped his line at the sight of this caravan, losing his ghoti in the process, but he was so awestricken at the sublime experience that he did not care. The caravan disappeared from sight. For Aurelia, the ride was almost over but the journey had not yet ended. She had come to Ga-Koro to load her belongings on a ship and join two of her fellow Peers in their sail to Xa-Koro. The carriage halted on a stone patio and it was a small walk into Ga-Koro. Servants bowed gracefully as she disembarked her traveling throneroom and set out on foot, accompanied by a few guards as the other attendants began to unload her belongings and cart them to the docks.Ooc: Aurelia open to interaction in Ga-Koro.****Anthyn and Savina trekked through the forest and finally broke through to the grassy hills and valleys of the wahi's eastern reaches. It was here that the voice in the Valkyr's mind told her to go to.
IC: Krian"Yes, yes it does."Krian replied. "She ruined my armor too."
OOC: Gonna bunny Onuzek and have him let go of Skyra, cause I honestly need Skyra to be able to move, and breathe...
IC: Skyra - Ga-koro -Onuzek finally stopped hugging me and set me down. "Well, nice seeing you guys again. I guess while you're all hear you can come to Tillian and Emotia's wedding..." As I was speaking I saw a carriage halt at a stone patio, disembarking it was a matoran of earth, a rather rich looking one at that. For whatever reason, I felt like seeing what she was up to, maybe it was because for some reason I was automatically suspicious of rich, pompous people, or maybe I was just kinda bored as I waited for Tillian and Emotia to actually start preparing for the wedding, the slackers. "I'll be right back guys..." I said as I walked toward the carriage. I walked right up to her and her guards, just to see what kind of reaction they'd give me. "Hello there, what brings you to Ga-koro?" I asked in a friendly, diplomatic voice. Auerlia's reaction would help me decide my opinion on her.IC: Savina - Ga-Wahi -Savina looked around the grassy hills and valleys, it was a rather beautiful view. "Wow, I don't think I've been here before."
IC:Pearl"Quickly, while his back is turned!" Pearl whispered, ignoring Krian's command to stay still.
IC: Emotia - Ga-koro -Mimira was about to go with Pearl when she bumped into a certain mark bearer. Emotia smiled sweetly, "Now girls, I think it's best if you stay here. Besides, if you left, I wouldn't be able to give you these." She revealed two cups, that had some Bula juice in them, she'd grabbed them from a stand nearby while everyone was busy.
IC, Agzinel: Agzinel watched Skyra walk off in the direction of the carriage. It was probably owned by some pompous rich oaf who lounged around all day doing no work. If there was trouble, the Ba-Toa would go over there. But he stood away and said nothing for now.
IC:Pearl"My mommy said not to accept stuff from strangers." Pearl said, refusing the cup. "Or, she did until she died that is... So... Can we go?" Cue cute puppy eyes. "Please?"
IC: KrianKrian walked back over to Emotia and the little ones. "Pearl, you need an accompanying adult. Which means, you need to convince either me, or Emotia. Or Skyra, or Tillian. But all of them have plans."
IC: VahliiSomething seemed to snap inside of Vahlii at Alexin's newest comment. Sure it was okay to like your job but to go for one hundred and fifty years without missing a day of work was absolutely whack. Running out of books to read at the library just added to that and knowing this guy for just a few moments, the Ga-Toa felt as if he meant every book in there.Of course, she was assuming and could be completely wrong."Well now that you're out of your little cave in Ko-Koro, I think it's about time you enjoy your sudden change in surroundings and make the best of it. No one's stopping you from checking out the library here too."
IC: AlexinAlexin seemed rather offended. "I don't live in a cave. I have a beautiful home. I designed it myself. Mahogany floor, matte black furniture, and the best library I could scrape together."He shrugged. "It is, however, significantly warmer here. Any particular sights you recommend seeing?"
IC: VahliiDespite being more than just a bit stiff, Alexin's demeanour and what would appear to be a lack of knowledge on common expressions amused Vahlii and she couldn't help but take a liking to him. Shaking her head, she flashed a smile as a low chuckle emanated in her throat."There's all of Naho Bay, the Hura-Mafa River and the old Fusa Path. Pretty interesting along with a few miscellaneous spots here and there in the Koro and Wahi."
IC: Alexin"Hmm." Alexin looked thoughtful. "I'll have to make sure to get there."He leaned back slightly. "So, what's it like in the Marines?"
IC: VahliiVahlii leaned back in her chair, getting herself in a comfortable position as she folded her hands together behind her neck, staring out at the open sea."It's pretty nice actually as long as you don't mind spending too much time near water. Ga-Koro's a relatively peaceful village with little crime so you don't see much action apart from the odd hoodlum or Rahi." she replied."Although that's typical guard duty, where most start off. As you go up in ranks and gain experience, you eventually patrol the waters all around Mata-Nui and lend a hand to the other Koros, meaning a lot of travelling. To me, it's the perfect job. How about you guys in the Sanctum?"
IC: Alexin"Well, I've never been in the regular military. In my branch, things are a bit different."Alexin stared off into space, just over Valhii's shoulder. "My division is quite small. For the most part, the regular military doubles as a police force. I think I'm one of only a handful of inspectors in the entire Guard.""My primary job isn't patrol, though it is one duty. My primary job is to solve crimes, and hunt down fugitives from the law. I spend a lot of time on the streets."
IC: Vahlii"Sounds like it can be a very demanding job at times."Vahlii tried to picture herself in Alexin's shoes, herself as an inspector just like him. It was hard to grasp such a concept as the easy-going military life was really all she knew when it came to lawful business."How'd you find yourself with such a profession? Do you go about your investigations solo or do you work with others?"
IC: Alexin"I usually work alone. Others tend to... Well, it's best that I don't have a partner."Alexin had rather noticeable dodged the question of how he got his job.
IC: Vahlii"And what does that leave about how you got your job...?" she asked curiously, persisting for more information. If Alexin refused to answer, Vahlii would respect his privacy.
OOC: Ironically, ALexin started as a self-insert. Not so much, as I create his past.IC: AlexinAlexin was quiet a moment. "I was on the Guard's watch list. I'd showed up in the village out of nowhere. The Guard kept tabs on me, and they discovered my abilities in combat. The Guard sent a representative to where I lived. They offered me the position of warrant officer in the military. I declined.""A few years later, there was a serial killer on the loose. In fact, he had already killed the only Inspector the Guard had. They sent another representative, as they were rather shortstaffed at the time. I declined again. Then the killer struck again. And again. And five more times. They were always targeting one age group, always males between 150 and 300.""On my own, I'd solved the case. And I brought the killer down. The Guard offered me a job, doing things like that. I accepted.""
IC: Vahlii"Simple enough." Vahlii nodded. "A good fighter who declines a position in the military but instead accepts the job of an inspector for his smarts. Sounds almost like the type of character you put in a story if you ask me.""As for me well...life's been pretty straightforward and I've been well-off all this time. Grew up as a regular fisherman under a good family, turned out to be a bit more talented than the average person and had a lot of windows open to me in life. With Makuta plaguing the island, I thought it would only be right to do my part in protecting Mata-Nui as should everyone so I enlisted in the Marines. Worked my way up its ranks and here I am, ranked amongst the highest."
IC: Alexin"If only my reason for enlisting was so noble." Alexin commented. "I was bored. I stay to protect, but I joined for a challenge."He smiled slightly. "And if only Ko-Wahi was a tad warmer."
IC: HonnakAt this, Honnak appeared next to the two Toa. "Sorry 'bout that kids," the Toa of Iron said, a small grin on his face, "Ran into some... unpleasent company."He brushed some dust off his suit, and sat down. "So, what's going on?"
IC:Rewera smirked. "Obviously." she commented on Ravage's tracking abilities. She began to pace back and forth, casually inspecting what seemed to be insignificant items found in the alleyway. Then she gave her newfound helper the five names along with brief descriptions of her brothers, the subtle differences in their armor, how it was black on first glance but each reflecting light in a different hue. By the time she had finished, the female Toa had turned her back to him and was looking out on the part of Naho bay visible at the far end of the narrow street."Of course, all that information won't do you any good." she said cooly. She turned back around. "We've been doing this for a long time. If my brothers decided to vanish, even the both of us wouldn't find them."But a knowing look was on her face as she reached to her hip and into a small leather pouch hanging from her belt. "Unless you have something that is rarely remembered to be obscured."She held out her hand. Between her fingers, a small piece of cloth dangled. "In a way, it was serendipity that you of all people took notice of me."IC: Ravage Ravage nodded. "Well, to start with, can you describe their general appearance?" He smirked. "Manual searching is not my only method."
IC: RavageRavage glanced at the cloth curiously. "What, pray tell, is that? Or rather, what meaning does it hold?"IC: Alexin"Hello, Honnak." Alexin said, looking over. "How are you?"
IC: Vahlii"Ah, glad you made it, Honnak." Vahlii smiled. "We were just talking about how we ended up working for our respective guards and with Alexin and I done, I think you should tell us about you as well."A Matoran waiter neared the table and the Ga-Toa ordered a glass of fruit juice.
