IC: [Ril]Ril had decided to leave Pala-Koro, having done his duty already in helping destroy the Hive. Now, he was walking along, wondering what he would do next. He could go back to Ta-Koro and assume his new position as a Bombardier in the Artillery Corps, but then again, his vacation still hadn't ended.Well, time to brainstorm.
IC: Viloz"Sorry Unari, I'm a little preoccupied at the moment." Viloz declined, holding up a hand as he shook his head. The meeting taking place took precedence over keeping an eye on a paralysed Matoran, something he did often enough during his past stays at the Brightstar Inn. What was his name again? I think it was something like Cetran...poor fella."Care to refresh my memory about what he wants? My attention was focused on another recruit at the time." Viloz inquired, shifting to face Rhow in his chair.
IC:"Ahhh Madrihk, what a liar you are. You make a promise then break it without a second thought. Perhaps I was wrong for joining Mata Nui's side in this battle- it seems that all those who follow him are have less morals than a Baka."He looked at Dendron. "You there. The insane yet hilarious Toa. You could ensure my peacefulness if they were to remove me from this cage, could you not?"
OOC: Meanie.IC-Destian:"What's going on here?" Destian asked, walking up to the group of Skakdi, a group he was going to be a part of soon.IC-Cetran:Unari shrugged, and walked back into the bar quickly, somebody yelling at him. Not the first time this had happened, where he had forgotten me in the shade...but ah well. I'd deal with it. So, I sat there, listening to the Skakdi as another one came up.If I could have rolled my eyes I would-there were so many of them, so bloody many...it was so bloody annoying, they wouldn't stop showing up. Why were they all coming here, anyways? Unari invite them? Oh, great. Having something like ten drunk Skakdi on the premises was going to be such a good idea.IC-Dendron:Dendron smiled, as a carnivorous plant suddenly grew up and into the cage, snapping at Skaarn, the Hordika backing away, before the Toa of Plantlife reversed its growth back to a small shoot."Easily. In fact, do anything stupid and you'll find yourself being slowly digested over the course of several days."
IC:Skaarn laughed aloud. "Well, I don't know about that. Hordika are rather tough beings- I'd say it would take at least a week for a plant to digest me. Still, surely you can come up with some sort of shackle to ensure I don't cause any trouble, so that this leader of yours" Skaarn said, pointing at Madrihk, "will be able to keep his promise and remove this cage. Something truly dreadful and depraved - it should be no problem for a Toa of the Island Liberation Squad.
IC: LansBack with Lans had first walked into Kongu's quarters he'd expected things to kick off right then and there. Of course little did he know that wasn't to be the case. It turned out Kongu had been busy helping to plan some sort of Rama Hive attack. Thus Lans had been relegated to wait for the hive attack to end and that he would be brought back in when Kongu was ready. Unfortunately he hadn't been able to actually take part in the battle. Kongu had made sure he had some Guards watching so that he didn't decide to run off. One thing he was happy to learn about was that the rest of the squadron he had been forming had taken part in the battle. As another bonus Lans had learned about some of the local news, stuff he had missed out on before.Apparently an Obelisk had been uncovered in the center of the Hive and it had bared the words, "Hidden Lines". Definitely something we should investigate, sounds right up the alley of this Squadron as is that whole ordeal with the Turaga being Mutated how they were kidnapped in the first place is beyond me. Another useful thing about having to wait, he got more time to plan, more time to come up with Details to help convince the commander. Hopefully Lans had the skill to do it, this was something entirely foreign to him.Another Matoran soon arrived, it seemed Kongu was ready to see him now. Lans could only hope he was ready as well. As he followed the Matoran in, Lans kept running mental checks as towards what to bring up, hopefully he could do this. After all with Kongu standing right in front of him, the time was now. Here's to hoping I don't blow this.
IC:"Yes?" Kongu asked.
IC: LansLans knelt, now was the time, "You summoned me Commander."
IC: ZealokanHe held his arm out wide, stunned. 'For your information, I'm practically a child trapped in an adult's body! Like the Turaga of Ve-Koro used to say, "Growing old is compulsary. Growing up is optional". And I think we can leave the ILS to figure out the Obelisk, seeing as they're a well-organised military force and we're a motley crew of adventurers and, apparently, pillow-fighters.'IC: (Uar)"Come on, that's childish!" Uar responded to Zealokan's suggestion. "Also, didn't you hear about the obelisk?" he continued.
IC: Madrihk
"Surprisingly good."Madrihk flexed the muscles in his hand, causing his new fingers to twitch slightly. It would take a few attempts before he got used to the feeling of having mechanical replacements."Thanks. This work right here is reason enough to keep you on the team, my friend.""How do they feel? How do you feel?"
While Madrihk cared about as much for the Hordika's words as he did for the dead Rama corpses on the field, the Toa of Ice began to feel annoyed by Skaarn. For this reason he did not speak up when Dendron poked him with a vine, something he would usually have done. Mistreating prisoners for the heck of it was not his style."Shackles are more restrictive than a cage," he simply said, still absentmindedly testing his prosthesis. "And despite me being the leader, the rest of my team will have their say as well. Should we let him out at all?"IC: Skaarn
IC: Alfon / Viloz"I believe he should remain in his cage. There's very little point in letting him out, if there is one at all since technically, you're still holding your end of the bargain. Shackle him all you want, you're still giving him the opportunity to escape despite the odds or do something rash." Alfon said, not keen on releasing Skaarn."Considering what he is, it's like taking a chained Muaka with a Matoran brain for a stroll in the village. It's unpredictable, dangerous and it'll bite you when it sees its chance."Onyx and Volin nodded in agreement.---"Have a seat, stranger." Viloz welcomed Destian in his typical charismatic manner. At this point, the countless number of Skakdi showing up in such a short period of time ceased to amaze him. In fact, he almost grew weary of accommodating several newcomers like a doorman and then proceed with giving out the same explanation of this group's purpose over and over again. The only fun part about it was rephrasing the entire speech and meet a different individual."I'll make it nice and short for you, all right?"
OOC: Hehe...yeah, must have missed that half-sentence in all the excitement. Ignore the part where I described them as monstrous then.IC:Rhow chuckled at Viloz. Then she gave the wheelchair-bound Matoran a once over. He wasn't going to cause trouble. Of course not. "Our small-toothed new friend here..." she indicated the Toa, "wants us to help him take down a bunch of makuta followers he saw camping. Wanna do that?"But the question went unanswered, as Viloz attention was caught by another newcomer Skakdi. How many were there now? Rhow made a quick headcount. The number wasn't bad for a days work.OOC: Seriously, how many Skakdi do we have now? 7? 8?
IC: (Doc Verik)"Oh? It was nothing, just doing my job." I replied, glad to see that his new fingers were working, eventually his hand would heal and the new mechanical fingers would feel almost like his old ones. I packed up my medical kit. It was right then that I remembered that he had basically asked for me to join his team. It was a chance, if I turned away I wouldn't be able to look myself in the eye as more died, their deaths that could be prevented, and the deaths in which they could have passed on more easily. I took a deep breath, before standing up straight and turning to the leader."I'll do it...I'm sorry, I never quite got your name, sir?" I asked. If I was going to be working with these people for a long time, I needed to know their names at least.
OOC: Thanks
IC: Viloz"Sure, I'm down for that. If word somehow spreads, we'll take all the credit since one measly Toa among this many Skakdi is hardly worth mentioning. I'd also like to see how everyone here fares in battle." Viloz replied enthusiastically before pointing right back at Destian."Just going to give him the prep talk and see if he wants in, all right? Then we'll be good to go."OOC: Maybe we should make a blog for this group so we can keep track of all the activity and its members?
OOC: @Wade: It's worked out rather well for the ILS, don't you think? A blog post with the team listing has helped me numerous times when I'm looking up each character's name, element, mask, etc.
IC: Madrihk"Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself to everyone in person. I tend to do that, but this whole hive attack brought with it so much to do that I haven't had time. I am Madrihk, Toa of Ice and - as I'm sure you've noticed - leader of the Island Liberation Squad. In case no one told you, you are standing in Pala-Koro, built from the ground up by us."Madrihk flexed his fingers once more, this time a bit more fluently.A skilled medic, he thought. Could have used a Toa with a Mask of Healing, but those are rare. This is perfect."And who are you, if I may ask?""I'll do it...I'm sorry, I never quite got your name, sir?" I asked. If I was going to be working with these people for a long time, I needed to know their names at least.
OOC:That would be wise.IC: Taoki - Le-Koro - Bright Star InnTaoki turned his head to Rhow, still flipping his knife around his fingers, "I'm game."
IC: Baneless arrived in Pala-koro, just as his parakua turned itself off. He began to hurt, all over, from the strain the small being had put on his muscles. He stood shakily, barely standing on his feet. He staggered towards Bane, looking around at the large amount of toa around him. This could be a good thing, or a really bad thing, if any friends of Ga-koro were here. "Bane," he croaked, "I've got new info for you. Who are your friends?""Island Liberation Squad. You wouldn't want to join. But you did come at the best time possible." Bane said as he paid the Vortixx. "Can you tell us about your Parakuka?""Sure. Just fire away the questions, as long as I get my payment."OOC: Baneless has arrived, to give trusted answers to all our questions.IC(Mortis): Mortis arrived in the Le-Wahi treetops, looking for the vaunted signs of Skakdi arrival. All Skakdi naturally hated Makuta, so the job opportunity was perfect. He was supposed to look for another Skakdi named Rhow, and talk to him. He headed into the nearest bar, and rowdily shouted, "Anyone around here seen Rhow? I need to talk to him."OOC: assume that this is the bar where you Skakdi are all meeting.-Bane
OOC: Rocka, that was a bit of a... Cheap plot device, don't you think? :/IC: KahlynnKahlynn frowned for a moment. Makuta Followers? Well, maybe if they had pet Rahi... Nah, that would be stupid. Perhaps if he helped this lot out he'd fight some kind of super-Rahi later on. He looked up to this 'Rhow' gal. "Yup, count me in. I'm Kahlynn, by the way, a Rahi Hunter. You may have heard of me." he grinned, but did not speak any more.In his short time at the Inn, his wounds had healed rather nicely, and he suspected he was actually building up an immunity to the Rama poison due to the fact that he didn't feel numb or dead yet.
IC: IncommodoIncommodo tried to get up, only to find that he was in a tree. And he fell. Pretty far, actually. It was kind of painful. And noisy. Someone would likely notice the amnesiac Toa of Magnetism.
OOC: Yeahhh...that was contrived with a capital contrived.IC: Reordin (Pala-Koro)"Talk to me. I told you my story. The same courtesy would be nice."-Teezy
OOC: Guys, Rhow's a female
IC: Viloz"I think you meant her." Viloz corrected, pointing at the female leader. "If you're here to join the group, might as well take a seat since I'm about to give this new guy all the details." he said, referring to Destian. "Of course, you can always talk to Rhow if it suits your fancy or it's her you need specifically."As the 'receptionist' waited for a reply, he began writing down the names of those who joined recently on a piece of parchment.OOC: @Katuko: Exactly why a blog post for this group would be a good idea.
IC: SkrihenSkrihen was quiet a moment. "The Mark of Joy. I absolutely hate it. In fact, I'd almost rather have one of the other Marks I've heard about. I've heard most of them are opretty nasty." She sighed. "The Mark doesn't feed on it's owner's happiness, just other's. It doesn't care if you're happy, just that everyone else is. And it's often hungry.""And when it's hungry, I have to find a way to make someone extremely happy. I can't count the number of times I had to get up in the middle of the night for that purpose. Eventually, you grow to hate it. Unlike fear, or pain, or excitement, there is no surplus of joy on this island."Skrihen scowled. "And the worst part is that even after you grow to hate the joy, the Mark forces you to feel happy when you feed."
IC: Reordin (Pala-Koro)"Ah."For once, the lieutenant looked to be at a loss for words: he was chewing on one lip in thought, his eyes boring into Skrihen's, as if they were examining her soul."I'm sorry. Not sure what good that does you, but..."-Teezy
IC: Skrihen"It might not do me any good, but I appreciate it." Skrihen smiled slightly. "Well, now that I've just offloaded my emotional baggage on a hapless victim..."
IC: Reordin (Pala-Koro)"Hardly hapless or victimized. What do you have in mind?"-Teezy
IC: Skrihen"Not a clue. You?" Skrihen leaned back in her seat, as the light slowly faded from her eyes. The festivities were wrapping up, and overall, they had been replaced by a far more serious air. The debate about the Turaga was ongoing, and nobody would reah a conclusion, funerals and praise were in progress for the dead, and the modd i n the room was distinctly less than cheerful.Skrihen directed a finger toward the ground, slowly causing several plants to grow. First was a flower, the same shade as her Mark. Just as deceptively sweet, too, for the blossoms were poisonous to consume. Deathly so. The next was a herb, one known for great nutritional value and for medicinal purposes, but resembled poison ivy. The next few were several flowers, all of the same varity as the first. The fi nal plants to appear were roses of various shades. One, dead center, however, had thorns coated in a natural poison. A poison that was known t cauase paralysis, and death if not treated.
IC: (Doc Verik)"I'm Doctor Verik of Le-Koro, just call me Doc if you like. I've done my best to study the fauna and flora all over this island, as well as various techniques, and ideas." I replied. "It is good to be working with you Madhrik. Now you gave me another job to do, and I intended to see what I can learn to help you." I bowed slightly to the Toa, before heading in the direction of the Turaga. Eventually I found them, the other Le-Matoran, a female was standing nearby."So are they still out?" I asked, peering at the Turaga inquisitively. This was interesting, I could learn much about these parasites, or at least I hoped to. Maybe they would yield some medical benefits if they could not be removed, but perhaps they could be hampered in someway, someway to help the Turaga.OOC: Vezok, that would be Leah. I gotta go for a bit, but I will return.
IC: AmberaAmbera made her way to the nearby Koro, she was looking around for something to do."WOW! This place is amazing! It's so beautiful!" she said in her usually perky manner. She saw the elevator and went on up to the koro and found the village.OOC: (Ambera open for interaction)
OOC: Will be gone for a 12 day period.I.C. Vompran thought to himself:Wasn't it Skaarn who was trying to team up with Heunai?! I wish this Hordika would make up it's mind. Vompran walked to his hut. He was wounded, tired, and his morale and temper were running short. A good sleep would be just the sort of thing to rejuvinate the exausted toa.
ICLaki shouted in surprise as a vortixx with a parakuka stumbled into camp. Vortixx were high on the list of things Laki didn't like, and parakuka had recently topped that list. The Matoran pulled out his serrated disks and pointed one at the vortixx. "Get him away-out! He had bad-slug parakuka!" he shouted.
IC: Matatu had been walking around the village. Soon, he walked into Ambera. "Oh, sorry about that.", he said to Ambera.IC: AmberaAmbera made her way to the nearby Koro, she was looking around for something to do."WOW! This place is amazing! It's so beautiful!" she said in her usually perky manner. She saw the elevator and went on up to the koro and found the village.OOC: (Ambera open for interaction)
IC: Ambera"OH thats okay, I wasn't paying attention either because I was looking at this wonderful place," she said excitedly, "I'm Ambera," she finished with a smile.
IC: [Matatu]"I'm Matatu. Do you need help finding your way around the village?" he asked.
OOC: Lol.IC-Destian:"Kahlynn? When did you hop out of that battle at the hive?" Destian asked, looking over at the other Skakdi.
IC: Almost as the disk left Laki's hand, a metal wall appeared in front of Baneless. The disk bounced harmlessly against the wall, and landed on the forest floor. "Listen! Baneless has been my informant for years. He's someone to trust, as long as you have enough money."-Bane
IC: ZykeZyke wasn't getting anything done walking around the streets of Le-Koro, so he headed to the bar for a drink.OOC: Open for interaction
IC: Ambera"Oh I'm Ambera! Whoops I already said that didn't I? Well thats okay I forget sometimes a bit hehe," she said, "Oh do you know where i can get a drink or something?"
IC: Lerongu had been walking around, not paying attention, when he bumped into a Skakdi on the way to the bar. He looked up and saw the skakdi he had bumped into. "Oh, great, he's going to kill me." He thought to himself.IC: ZykeZyke wasn't getting anything done walking around the streets of Le-Koro, so he headed to the bar for a drink.OOC: Open for interaction
IC: "No, not really." Said Matatu.IC: Ambera"Oh I'm Ambera! Whoops I already said that didn't I? Well thats okay I forget sometimes a bit hehe," she said, "Oh do you know where i can get a drink or something?"
IC: Zyke Zyke whirled around and placed one of his tomahawks on the stranger's neck."State your business," he demanded.
IC: Ambera"Ah thats too bad," she said, "Well I guess I'll find one! BYE!" she said walking off and she found the bar. She walked in and sat next to a yellow and black skakdi whose name was Zyke, "Oh Hi!" she said to Zyke but then saw he had a tomahawk at someone's neck, "Hey what are you doing?" she said with her happy tone gone and replaced with a cold stare.
