IC: Jayar / Suvak's Office
"That is reasonable." agreed Jayar. "If we prepare a letter, can you arrange to have it sent, at least?" he asked. "I don't know how we could contact him otherwise."
IC: Revenge-Captive
Revenge got an Idea. "Rider, when we came over did you bring your, thing." He did his best to mime a violin.
Metal / Refectory to the Library IC:
As it turns out, not eating for weeks upon end was not a good idea. In a corner of the Refectory, a lone Rahkshi was proving this fact. Trays were piled dozens high, and yet still more food was being consumed. After roughly fifty trays, the black and red figure slowly stood up, let out an overly loud belch (that might have given other Rahks a headache), and waddled slowly toward the Library.
Wonder if Suvak will still hold up to his end of our bargain . . . I wonder if anyone remembers me.
As he ambled onward, Metal pulled his guitar-axe around and started playing a hauntingly beautiful tune. Apparently, time had taught his the wonders of more than just screaming.
IC: Melody-Hallway
Melody heard someone playing a strange tune as they walked through the halls. She turned to see who it was.
IC (Gym: Boxing Ring): 1-2b-3-2-RHK.
That's jab, change levels, cross to the body, hook, cross to the face, put the shin across his skull.
Hands clad in 16 oz. of leather and padding apiece flashed in a lightning-quick salvo, producing a staccato popping rhythm against the pads that rang through the gym from the ring.
As the second cross snapped back to his guard and his lead foot turned outwards, already facilitating the torque of the hips that would in mere fractions of fractions of a second power a scything kick up to head height, he thought.
He thought about things he hadn't really given precedent to before.
A deep thud, the collision between the pair of pads and one rahk shin at murderous velocities.
He thought about the confrontation at the gym, how it was him, Cao, and the rest of the school.
Jab coming in. Slip inside, overhand right above.
Did he feel ready to take on those kinds of odds?
Connection. Follow up with a shovel hook to the body. Liver if you can find it.
Not as much as he'd liked. Training every day was... well, he was training the hand-to-hand aspects every day. He could take on anyone in a straight brawl and turn it into a kickboxing showcase.
WHAP.
Close. Keep your guard up, buddy. Won't always have big ol' gloves like these to rely on.
But nobody fights in a straight brawl here. Except maybe Cao. Maybe Kat. But everyone else...
All I have are my gauntlets. And Banzai.
Is that enough?
It can be, but...
1-3-2.
Boom boom boom!
It isn't right now.
That needs to change.
IC Outlash
Library
What Rahkshi considered a smile spread across Outlash's headplates. She still stared at her book, occasionally turning the page, but her attention was on the striped Rahkshi and his seething inner turmoil. He was a perfect target.
Outlash closed her book and looked around, as if she hadn't already known who else was in the library with her. She "noticed" Exxan and readied her best polite-and-innocent voice. "Excuse me? This book was here when I got here and I don't know where it goes; can you help me put it away?"
IC: Rider
"I did, but I don't know where it is." Rider explained, guessing he meant the violin.
IC: Revenge-Captive
"They may have token it along with our weapons. Don't worry I have a plan."
IC: Rider
"W-what is it?" He asked.
IC: Revenge-Captive
"I'm going to try to get your instrument back, ok?" Revenge then turned and shouted at Phantom. "He is right you know, we have our own will. We can chose for ourselves, and many of us have chosen to be something other than killing machines."
IC Vaalku
Not resting long, Vaalku began tidying things up in his room for his departure. He compacted everything in it, making the space inside seem empty and barren. He took only what he absolutely needed and left the room, headed to the library one last time.
IC: Exxan - Library.
"Ah, sure," I looked at the book's cover, recognising it as something I'd read some time ago. "That one belongs just over there," I pointed out a gap in the middle of a nearby shelf.
IC Vaalku
Vaalku finally stopped outside the doorway to the Library and caught his breath. His muscles were starting to scream again. He pulled himself to his feet(foot) and panted heavily. Leaning on the walls for support, he walked in.
IC: Rail - Gym
Rail bent his knees slightly, raising his arms in front of his chest as he began to inch towards his opponent. Knowing that he would be better off maintaining combative flexibility, he kept his hands slightly open, figuring that it would provide him a small boost in reaction time if he needed to grapple or deflect a blow and that he could always close them when he went in for a strike of his own.
Watching his opponent's movements, he waited for him to attack first.
IC: Mantis
Mantis readied himself, then burst out in a flurry of short, quick punches aimed at Rail's upper torso.
IC Outlash
Library
Was it just her imagination, or had the Vacuum-Rahkshi's griefs faded? Maybe her interruption had taken his mind off his worries.
"Thank you." She put the book away. "You know, I'm looking for some good books about combat, can you recommend any? I have some... grudges to settle."
IC: Exxan - Library.
I winced. "Don't we all?" I sighed. "Combat stuff is over there," I pointed at another shelf. I knew this library like the back of my hand; maybe if things had gone differently I could have become a librarian? Too late to do that now....
IC: Rail - Gym
Rail raised his hands in a defensive position, blocking his opponent's jabs with his forearms before parrying the Rahkshi's last blow. Pain surged through the wound he had previously suffered from his foe's Kama as he shifted his arm, wrapping it around the other's wrist and pinning it to his torso before stepping in closer and delivering a vicious uppercut towards Bug-Boy's jaw from the left side.
IC: Mantis
Mantis leaned away from the blow, grabbing his opponent with his free arm and using his momentum to throw him over his shoulder.
Metal / Library IC:
As Metal reached the Library, he saw a familiar face. It was that extremely shy Rahkshi . . . Oh, what's her name? Beat, Rhythm, Staccato, Baritone . . . OH! With a grin, he greeted her, "Hey Melody. Long time no - BELCH - see. Sorry, I just hadn't eaten in - URP - forever, and I just ate a Karz of a lot of the food." As he spoke, he flipped the guitar onto his back and motioned for her to walk inside the Library before him.
IC: Melody-Library
"H-h-hello. I l-l-liked y-your m-music."
OOC: I don't think they ever met.
IC Outlash
Library
Outlash began browsing the indicated shelf. "Ah, I see. You've never read any of these yourself, then."
IC: Rail - Gym
Maintaining his grip on his opponent's wrist, Rail decided to do something completely unexpected when the other Rahkshi moved to throw him.
He let him do it.
Catching himself quickly on Bug-Boy's shoulder and gaining a new grip on the arm he previously parried, he allowed his foe to propell himself forward as if completing a front flip, wrenching his trapped limb behind him as he crouched down and wrapped his own free arm around his opponent's right leg. Then, with all of his strength, he began pulling them towards each other, intending on crippling his suit to the point where he would no longer be able to stand.
OOC: Actually Melody and Metal did meet briefly, thanks to Bullseye, speaking of which...
IC: Bullseye/Library
I found Metal coming in to grab the poster while conversing with Melody. I walked up to them. Perhaps there was one reason to stay a little longer.
"Hey guys! What's up?"
IC: Mantis
Mantis inwardly sighed at Rail's unintelligent strategy. Oh well. Mantis suddenly leaned back, sharp spines coming right for Rail.
IC: Flash | Library
Flash nudged Melody, smiling, saying quietly. "And I thought you were shy. How many friends have you made?"
IC: Melody-Library
Melody giggled. "Oh, I just met him," she said, motioning to Metal. "He w-was p-playing a s-song in the h-hallway. Have you s-seen Cutuuk anywhere?"
IC: Rail - Gym
Rail howled in a mixture of agony and rage, continuing to pull even as he felt the spines of the other Rahkshi begin to dig into his back. He twisted himself sideways, repositioning his body to run parallel beside them before sliding his right leg backwards and trying to sweep his opponent's only remaining foot out from under him. If his plan succeeded, not only would his foe fall face-first onto the floor with him on top of his back, but he would also be virtually unable to defend himself from the continual and incredibly painful force being applied to his two limbs.
IC: Mantis
Mantis clenched his jaws, but stood rigid, unflinching as the sweep hit him in the foot. It hurt, but hadn't succeeded in knocking him down. He swung his head towards that of Rail, almost like a hammer. If his blow connected, it would hurt them both, but it was the best one of Mantis's rapidly dwindling options.
OOC: They definitely met at least once in the Infirmary, and I believe once after. They were short, though, so I'll roll with it.
Metal / Library IC:
Metal was not completely surprised that Melody forgot him, what with their brief interactions and the amount of time that had passed. The others, however, did seem to recognize him. What more, they were friendly, not trying to murder him. Very nice.
"We've met before, only briefly. Not surprised you forgot me. But yeah man, just on my way to pick up the poster and give it to Suvak. It's still there, right? I got into this wicked mood where I jammed out night and day . . . How long have I been locked up in my room?"
IC: Bullseye/1st Person/Library
"No. I haven't seen him yet."
I looked to Metal.
"Long enough for 3 Rahkshi to be killed. By the way, you need a hand?"
I had walked by the infirmary on my to the library and had seen that Zex was killed.
IC: Melody-Library
"Oh, I j-j-just w-wanted to t-tell h-him that th-the talent show s-should start f-f-fairly s-soon." She turned back to Metal. "Wh-what was y-y-your name?"
IC Vector:
Vector walked out of the Gym, heading for the library.
IC: Exxan - Library.
"I've read some of them; most of them, actually." I corrected the other Rahkshi. "Knowledge is power, after all."
And that power had spelled death for Omega....
IC: Era - Suvak's Office.
My shoulders sagged. "Very well...."

IC: Exxan - Gym.
"The Porters won't let me into the armoury," I explained, "if they did, I would have gotten myself new weapons ages ago."
_____________________________________________
IC: Xara - Gym.
The blast of wind caught me by surprise, throwing me backwards a few bio. If it hadn't been for the fact I was crouched down beside a pillar, partially sheltered from the blast, I might have wound up bouncing a bit further.
But the wind had blown away the fog, so now I could see exactly where my opponent was. I lunged at them, sending another arc of electricity crackling from my staff towards him.
IC Fog:
Fog got hit in the arm, spasming and almost falling down. Gritting his metaphorical teeth against the pain, he switched to flight mode and flew up, coming down to dive at Xara from behind.
IC: Xara - Gym.
With the fog gone, I spotted him immediately as I turned towards the sound of him taking flight. I pointed my staff right at him as he came down, stabbing upwards and launching a lightning bolt from the tip as I did.
If all went to plan, his own downwards dive would steer him right into the lightning, and he'd fall onto my staff.
IC Fog:
His dive trajectory not quite being downward, Fog came in on a more flat angle. Unfortunatly, the lightning still hit him. He was blasted out of flight mode, maintaining his momentum and trying desperatly to stab his dirk into Xara.
Metal / Library IC:
"The name's Metal," he responded to Melody with his normal disturbing grin. Nice as he was, he still looked terrifying to most. As he started taking down the slightly tattered poster, he said to Bullseye, "Sure, get that corner . . . . Karz, really? Dang, that's a lot. I'd expect one or two, maybe a few hundred severe injuries, but three dead? Maybe my little talent show will help pull this place together. Oh, and Melody, I would hope as much, seeing as I'm just about to go to Suvak about it."
IC: Xara - Gym.
I raised my arm, letting his blade sink right into my forearm. I bit back a cry, and poured all my power through that arm, hopefully giving him the kind of electric shock he'd never forget.
IC: Melody-Library
"W-w-well g-g-good l-l-luck, M-m-metal." His smile was a little scary.
