IC: CimondCimond followed Kino Iho.Cimond to Kumu Islets.
IC: Nameless SkakdiI followed Kino out of the shrine, glad to go somewhere after the time there. As I followed the others, I noticed the biting cold, and quickened my pace, knowing we were near Ga-Wahi. Soon, I was able to see the Ga-Wahi border in the distance. I approached it, and soon crossed it, and after some small time the cold subsided. Glad to be out of the cold, I continued walking, on my way to board a ferry to Xa-Koro with the others.OOC: Nameless Skakdi to Xa-Koro.
IC: [iegasa]"Noira, what is your opinion? Should we follow and watch the Makuta's plans come to fruition, or stay and care for the shrine?"
IC: Noira:Noira shrugged.
IC: [iegasa]"I suppose we shall go then. It will be rather interesting watching them."
IC: Noira nodded and started to gather up essential supplies for the journey.
IC: [iegasa]"Remember the tea my dear."IC: [Arkrak]Meanwhile, Arkrak had lead Incommodo to his parent's former house, which seemed to have been abandoned for ages. The hut was entirely untouched, with snow having covered the entire building. He assumed that the inside would be as untouched as the outside as well."Well, here we are."
IC: SkaaraaSkaaraa looked up and was shocked to see that everybody had already left. Sprinting outside, he used his elemental powers to suck himself in the direction of Xa-Koro.OOC: Skaaraa to XaIC: NingjingNinjing had finished decorating the temple. It was perfect for a small group of monks to meditate and train in. He began to meditate once more.OOC: Send your monks here.IC: ZharukThe black suited toa of plasma entered Ko-Koro with his little brother. He walked through the town until he reached the old shed he had refurnished. He gestured towards Nahu's shop. "That shop is where all the other axes are. Here's the plan to retrieve them," he said. "You go in there and pretend to buy something while using your sonics powers to silence me; I can hear you but you can't hear me. Once in there, you buy something and distract him while I steal the other five. Once I'm out, there's a booth down the street handing out applications for a concert of some sort. Go over there to avoid suspicion. If all goes well, I'll meet you in Le-Wahi at the concert site. Ok?"IC: The Idol"I don't know," The Idol replied. "For one, there's only two of us; shouldn't we wait until we have a few more men? For another, can't we just buy them back? Also, where's this fortress of your's?IC: Zharuk"For your first point, you may be right; maybe we should hold this off until later. Second, I have a feeling that matoran's not just going to let us buy them back. Third, I can't really remember where it is. When it comes to me I'll tell you." He paused and then continued. "Tell you what, how about you don't worry about me anymore and just apply for that concert. If I don't meet you in Le-wahi, assume I'm either dead or captured and forget about the family business; follow your dream."
IC: Incommodo"You first."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak nodded, and breathed in deeply, entering through the door. A small cloud of dust rose from the floor from the sudden movement, causing him to cough slightly. Nobody had been within the house for ages, and the two were probably the first to actually step foot onto the dusty floors."Inc, you take the western side. I'll take the east."
IC: Incommodo"No problem." Incommodo promptly disappeared, searching and teleporting through the western side and then returning to the entrance. "No sign of your brother. I found cutlery, though."
IC: Corciano"No," he said to Zharuk. "As much as I want to, I can't do that. Family is family after all." He looked at the ground, unsure of what to do.IC: ZharukZharuk thought hard. Then he had an idea. "Create a field of silence around me," he said. "Make it so that I can hear but that I can't make any sound. I'll go get a sack from the shed and then try to recover the axe from the back room. Maintain the field until I pass by the concert booth. If I'm not being pursued, then deactivate it. If all goes well, I'll meet you in Le-Wahi after the concert. Understand?"IC: CorcianoCorciano nodded. He put up a field of silence around Zharuk and then started for the concert stand, looking every now and then to make sure the field stayed up. He arrived at the Cultured Gentry booth. "I've heard you have a concert going on?" he said.IC: ZharukMeanwhile, Zharuk got a bag big enough to hold 6 axes from his shed. He didn't know how many Nahu had, but he needed to be able to carry them all if that were the case.
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak put down the family portraits he was looking at, one which had all of his family together, while another showed his brother and a woman. It had been rather nostalgic looking at them again, but there was a life-threatening situation occurring to him at this very moment, so he shouldn't dwell on such things. The Toa of Sonics turned back to his friend, and spoke."Well there aren't any clues here," he said. "Let's head to his house instead."
IC: Niici, after cleaning up and getting a quick bite to eat for breakfast, walked fast-paced out of her home, leaving Seba to his daily duties.------------The Toa of Ice calmly took her seat on the front row inside the meeting hall of the Cultured Gentry.“The meeting shall now commence” declared a young but slightly gruff voice echoed off the dense, icy, stone walls of the grand hall. Soft light lavished the floor and walls from the large windows that lined only one side of the large site. The Cultured Gentry met in the same sanctuary that they made been banding together for over a century. Niici was present, as were the three Elders of the Executive Board, the Scribe, and many of the Cultured Gentry's patrons. As expected, Kokkrihan was not present -- he was still spreading the word of the Gentry's new (and more lax) membership requirements. The three elders were donned in robes of the richest fabric sat at the front of the hall, behind an ornate table, carved entirely out of ice. The Ko-Koronan elder rose to his feet and opened his arms, "Before we get started with the major agenda point of this meeting, are there any new members of the Gentry present?,"OOC: Don't feel like starting the meeting in full force just yet. I'll wait for a little bit and let members attend if they want.
IC: Noira:Noira nodded, also making sure to pack a kettle and some tea leaves.
IC (Nahu):Nahu was in the back of his shop looking at what was clearly more than just a few normal axes. The axe heads had many small groves around it, and a strange language engraved on the sides. He was able to find out that they could all fit perfectly togeather into the shape of a circle, but one was missing. One sixth of the circle was incomplete, and it seemed that the strange words on the sides of the axe heads fit togeather into one big phrase in a lost language. To him, it appeared to be a form of an ancient Skakdi language, but one thing remained clear on the side of each axe:
(skanohi)
Skanohi, what could that mean? What will happen when the sixth axe is put into place? Will it unveal some ancient secret? Will it grant him powers? Will it awake Mata-Nui? Nahu didn't know, but he knew that it would probably put a lot of widgets in his pocket. But that would be for later, there was some possible customers in front of his shop. He put the axes away in his widget vault, to be studied later.
Ic: The sound of a man whistling as he walked could be heard through the hallway to the board room of the Cultured Gentry, breaking the silence after Niici's introductory pause. The jovial whistling bore no resemblance to music of any category, instead merely being the inane noise of a convivial man returning from a long journey to a home he had not set foot in for a long while. The visage of Ambages emerged from the passageway and entered the meeting hall. His coat was muddied as always and no gems or gold gilded his clothes, showing no sign of his actual standing in society, and instead his austere garb was more expected on an undertaker than on a master architect, an image drastically contrasted by his happiness."Not new, no," he said cheerily as he strode up the room, picked a chair up from the back of the hall and brought it up to the front table facing the elders and Niici. He wedged it between two members who had been at the back table the last time Ambages was present and moved forward, seeing that the architect's space was unfilled for a while. They hesitantly gave the man his space, though neither returned to their prior seat. People stared at him for a while, some wondering why he had returned after so long of an absence. "My, it has been quite an adventure," he said as he sat down. "I climbed Mount Ihu twice, threw stones into the fiery pits of the Mangai volcano, built a temple in Le-Wahi, was mugged by brigands in Xa-Koro, fished off the Ko-Wahi coast... So many adventures. So much to be thankful for." He clasped his hands together. "But I'm back. Carry on."
IC: ZharukZharuk snuck behind the back of the shack looking for a door. He then noticed that there wasn't one. There was nearly no safe way to get into the shed! Grumbling, he headed for the CG concert booth, gestured to Corciano to deactivate the field. He then had an idea; he needed to have a talk with Aakil but he didn't know where he was. In fact, he had not hear from him in over 7 years! He decided to try Ga-Wahi. Packing up his things, he headed over there, preparing to have a little "chat" with his rival.OOC: Zharuk to Ga
IC: Tirra"You know... I never agreed to this plan..."
IC: Keuirce"Are you saying that you don't like it?"IC: Incommodo"Arkrak... why is your parents' home abandoned?"
The Ko-Koronan elder rose to his feet and opened his arms, "Before we get started with the major agenda point of this meeting, are there any new members of the Gentry present?,"
Alyo raised his hand awkwardly from his chair. "Thank you," he nodded at Ambages, then continued, "I am honored to be in my first meeting with this well respected group. I hope my assets may prove of assistance." He nodded at the surrounding members before falling silent. Internally, he was quite exited. He was a member of the cultured gentry! This was the final proof, the final stamp of approval- he was rich and well respected. Better than he could have dreamed of.The visage of Ambages emerged from the passageway and entered the meeting hall."Not new, no," he said cheerily as he strode up the room, picked a chair up from the back of the hall and brought it up to the front table facing the elders and Niici. Carry on."
IC: [Arkrak]"Because they ditched us," he murmured.IC: [Elysi]"Too bad, we're doing it. Alright, does everyone understand their roles?"
IC: Niici watched as the Ko-Koronan smiled warmly.“We gladly welcome you back, Ambages. I’m happy to see the recent changes to our organization haven’t put you in shock”The Ko-Koronan nodded his head towards Niici after he finished that statement. After hearing Alyo also introduce himself, the elder nodded in approval.“Welcome, newcomer,” the elder said, “The honor is ours to have you in our presence”After a moment, the Ko-Matoran spoke again.“I believe we are ready now to begin our first order of business. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome our Chief of Operations, Toa Niici!”A soft applause echoed off the walls as Niici rose from her chair and made her way to the small podium in front of the elders’ table. She turned towards the members of the Cultured Gentry and smiled warmly.“Top of the morning,” Niici said, “Let’s cut to the chase shall we? As many of you may know, I’ve been reworking our image, so to speak. I want thoughts about the Cultured Gentry to be positive – to remind the Matoran that we exist to help make their lives easier. Indeed, in many instances our presence is needed to keep the livelihoods of the villagers intact. With that being said, I’ve slightly relaxed our admission requirements to join the club, and myself and Kokkrihan, our PR manager, have been working to put together a live concert starring the renowned Windriders, Le-Koro’s most popular band”Some murmurs and nods of approval were heard and seen in the glowing white hall.“While your individual sponsorship is always appreciated, it isn’t required,” Niici continued. “The funds that you have given us so far should be enough to get the show rolling. What I’d really like though, is for everyone to make their appearance here. We will all be getting our investment back 10 fold, assuming we get the turnout that we’re expecting. Our presence will help guarantee that turnout”Niici paused to see the members thinking over what she had presented. Overall, it looked like the Cultured Gentry as a whole was for it, but she wanted to be sure, especially since Ambages and some newcomers were here.“I know I’ve asked this before, but how do you all feel about this so far?” asked Niici, “This concert should take place in a few weeks, but we don’t yet have any musicians to open for the band. We also need to plan the afterparty, any special guests that we want to invite, and our presentation in general. I really believe that this benefit concert will help us, and Mata Nui as a whole. But I still want to hear what you all have to say – what we can add, what should be taken away, et cetera. I especially want to hear fromthose whom I haven’t heard from yet”Niici opened the floor for discussion.
ICAlyo leaned back in his chair, still stunned the had risen so far. Fifty years ago, if someone had told him he'd be a member of the cultured gentry some day... He wouldn't have imagined it could happen. He would have laughed. Now his opinion about the cultured gentry's next event was begin asked for? It was astonishing. "I agree, it seems wise to host a concert that normal people can go to, for once. As you said- to improve our image with the general public. Make us seem more... human. I, for one, will definitely do my best to attend. The concert will be held in Le-Koro yes?" After that was answered, he pressed on to his next point. "I'd recommend some sort of advertising- talk it up with the merchants and such, although I assume this is already being done. I know I shall do some as well, recommend it to my customers and partners."
IC: SulkuaSulkua opened his eyes, trying to regain his bearings. He groaned as he sat up from the snow. Snow? Wasn't he in an abandoned mine shaft in...Sulkua got up quick. Erken! Kiron! Where were they? Darn, these Makuta worshippers spatially dislocated him AGAIN!Sulkua got up and ran towards the village. He had to contact Kiron, and FAST! He ran down the Three Brothers' Bridge, and dashed into the central square, headingHOme.
IC: TirraIn an un-Tirra-like quite voice she replied, "I never said I didn't like it... Just that I didn't agree to it..."
IC: Zongu"I agree to it." Zongu squeeked in his best impression of Tirra. "Excellent." he responded, clapping his hands together. "Let's get this show on the road!" he front-flipped into the temple and disappeared to find his (apparent) fiancé.
IC: Keuirce"Well, too late to back out now." Keuirce shrugged. "Not that... Not that I would back out. Unless you were backing out, in which case... I'll shut up now."
IC: TirraThe Le-Toa studied Keuirce, trying to understand what he was getting at...
IC: ZonguZongu ran back outside and sighed obnoxiously. "For Mata Nui's sake man, kiss the girl!"
OOC: Dude, if he tried to right now, he'd swallow her.
IC: KeuirceKeuirce felt his mask redden, and some of the snow which had taken up residence on it melted slightly.
OOC: That would be... lolzzz :3IC: Tirra"WAIT A SECOND I GOT THIS," the miniature Toa proclaimed, before removing her Kanohi. With the removal of the mask, Tirra grew to her full size, which wasn't exactly that much taller then Keuirce was. " 'K I'm cool now."
OOC: Alright guys, KeuircexTirra is about to officially become the most realistic and sensible romance in the RPG.Are y'all ready? ('cause I'm sure as Karz not. XD)IC: KeuirceKeuirce stood on the very edges of his feet in order to become taller, and then moved in to kiss Tirra.
IC: ZonguZongu ran off to find his fiancé so she could see it too (because people love to see two random people they don't even know kissing).
IC: NingjingThe toa of iron climbed to the summit of mount ihu and started practicing his martial artsOOC Open for interaction
OOC: That's okay, man, neither am I. :3IC: Tirra"Oh for crying out loud!" the Le-Toa exlaimed, before pulling Keuirce into the kiss.
OOC: Perfect.
IC: KeuirceKeuirce's eyes widened in shock, but he quickly began returning the kiss (luckily remembering to close his eyes).
IC: TirraThe two stood there in the snow for quite a while... Which may or may not have been good considering things tend to freeze together in the cold.OOC: ![]()
IC: KeuirceHow long does this go on for? Do I pull away first or does she? GAH YOUR TONGUE GOT BACK IN YOUR OWN MOUTH HOW THE KARZ DO YOU EVEN DO THAT?OOC:
Oh, Keuirce.
OOC: Holy lol, man.
IC: TirraFortunately for Keuirce, it didn't go on for much longer, and Tirra pulled away before they froze like that. "Ok, cool," the Le-Toa said, grinning at Keuirce, "ZONGU YOU DONE YET?"
