IC: Zakama"I marking the different graves with masks," Zakama said, "We could make legit tombstones when I'm done,"Zakama kept making, placing and filing graves until all the dead bodies were in the snow, took nearly an hour. He sighed and went to the others.
IC: Myka"Ko-Wahi's always cold. Just like Ta-Wahi's always hot, and Po-Wahi's always dry, and Onu-Wahi's always dark, and Le-Wahi's always humid. Ga-Wahi's everything together in the right balance. The best holiday destination on the island." Myka smiled.
IC: I was breathing hard by now. "Almost... There." I finished the last hut and sat down.
IC: ZakamaZakama placed a small fire near Kaithas to keep him warm and sat next to him. "The graves are finished, now they have a cemetery," Zakama said,
IC: "Thanks for the fire. The village is finished except for the wall, and I need Nidiak's help for that. As well as rest."
IC: Zakama"Yea... We have a lot more to do, but it's a start," Zakama said, "The wood will be more warmth to the matoran, though it's flammable. It's no perfect, but we are doing a good job,"
IC: "The wood is also self-repairing, but they take a while to repair. Those huts are still living evergreens. That's why the tops are covered in needles. On the downside, they are pretty flammable. Which is why we're getting Merla to coat the outside with water. The water will freeze, giving them an ice coating."
IC: Zakama"I guess this could be a base once it's finished. I'm gonna go scout ahead with Merla and the mercies," Zakama said getting up.OOC: Thought we might go find the monastery
IC: The Onu-Matoran was first as still as a rock. Then, he began to nod in approval. During the song, the judge periodically bobbed his head with the tempo. He liked the sound that this one was producing."I think I've found my first musician for our opening act," the Onu-Matoran said, rising from his chair and approaching Corciano. "Congratulations, Corciano. I was truly impressed!"
IC: A small Ko-Matoran guard opened the door. This surprise at the appearance of the two was quickly erased and placed with the same warm demeanor that he was to give every Gentry member."Welcome to the meeting. We have already started," said the guard, "Please, right this way"-----------The sitting members stopped their chatter and collectively turned their heads at the newcomers. It seemed the Cultured Gentry were used to only a certain type of businessman.Well, drat, thought Niici. It was time for some damage control."Welcome!" said the Toa of Ice, spreading her arms and beckoning the two Skakdi to come closer. She quickly noticed the gray tablet that one of them was carrying, signifying that they were indeed sent here by someone. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our newcomers!" Niici said, jumping off the podium and approaching the two. Soft applause then began to fill the room. "It's a pleasure," Niici happily said to the two, "How about you introduce yourselves?"IC (Matan and Natan)
IC: "I'll stay here with Lathon, Desilix, and Yick. If you find anything, launch a flare."
IC: NingjingNingjing stepped outside. The coo crisp Ko-Wahi air was refreshing to say the least, and it invigorated it. He started paracticing his taolu. An iron dragon appeared behind him mirroring his movementsIC: MerlaMerla said nothing. Then she saw a small hut with a moving iron thing one it. "What's that?" she asked.
IC: ZakamaZakama got up assent to where Merla was and say what TE thing was. He looked at her and nodded, "let's go see it," Zakama said,
IC: I watched the others leave, then turned to Lathon. "So this is where... Ya know... It happened?"OOC:: Dymex, might wanna launch a flare.
IC: NingjingNingjing continued to practice. Then he saw several beings approaching him. He turned to greet themIC: MerlaMerla followed Zakama
IC: ZakamaZakama kept Runninf and almost ran into Ninjing, "EEEEHH I am so sorry!" Zakama said coming to a last minute hault.
IC: Nidiak and SlannakSlannak and Nidiak ran after Zakama to see him almost run into a strange monk of some kind.
IC: Ningjing"Oh, that is ok. May I ask, what are you all looking for?"
IC: Zakama"Well we say you and...what even is that?" Zakama asked, "I never even say something like that before...so mystical,"
IC: Ningjing"Oh, it's just a portion of my elemental power that I seem to subconsciously create very time I get into a deep enough trance while practicing martial arts."
IC: [Elysi]"Hello? Bounty hunter and mercenary remember?"
IC: Zakama"Hold on, one second," Zakama said as he flung a fire ball into the sky, a flare to Kaithas.
IC: "Well, there's our signal." I said, noticing Zakama's fireball. "Let's go." I picked up Yick and walked on, Nawal and Desilix following. OOC:: Bunnying permission granted.
IC (Matan and Natan): Matan and Natan looked back at the beings around the table with the same uneasiness that was directed at them. Clearly these people had not been expecting two Skakdi to walk in carrying travelling packs and weapons. Natan had been nervously running one finger over the engravings on his club, but quickly stopped as the blue toa started speaking. It was too late to hide it, however, so he just ended up looking sheepish."Ah, sorry to interrupt" Matan replied, turing to address the gathered members. "My name is Matan, and here with me is my brother Natan. We own a business in Le-koro, building and repairing armour and weapons, among other things. We heard that you were offering assistance to entrepreneurs, so we came here to find out more.""Hi all" Natan added, feeling like he should say something. The sitting members stopped their chatter and collectively turned their heads at the newcomers. "It's a pleasure," Niici happily said to the two, "How about you introduce yourselves?"
ICAlyo hesitantly gave a half-hearted wave back, carefully inspecting the two Skaki. Both were strong, like all Skakdi, and their eerie grins and dozens of spines unsettled Alyo a bit. The green and brown one had a blue, hooked sword, and the shorter one owned a short ornate club that he had been running a finger along. They looked more like barbarians who happened to be respectable than businessmen. He hadn't had good experiences with the species- as a rule they were unintelligent, strong and violent- thugs, not members of the cultured gentry. Still Alyo didn't like to judge, so withheld his judgement.
IC: I got to the flare and looked at the monk. I held out my hand (the one I wasn't using to hold Yick.) "My name's Kaithas."
IC: LathonLathon nodded solemnly, "Yes it is." he said thought it was an obvious answer. When Zakama said all of the dead were buried Lathon sighed in relief. "Good... we have done a great good here today." he said. As the others walked off Lathon saw the flare in the sky a moment after Kaithas. As Kaithas walked off towards the flare Lathon took it upon himself to dig up the four frozen dead bodies of the skakdi he'd killed. He picked them up and then threw them into the fire in the center of the village, watching as they burned for a moment, using his powers to feed the fire oxygen so it would burn faster. When he was satisfied he followed Kaithas to where the flare had been, he saw the others talking to a stranger. Lathon hung back, ready to draw his blade if this stranger proved to be a foe.
IC: ZyronZyron too smiled at that description."I'll keep it in mind in case I ever decide to go on holidays." he said.IC: Myka"Ko-Wahi's always cold. Just like Ta-Wahi's always hot, and Po-Wahi's always dry, and Onu-Wahi's always dark, and Le-Wahi's always humid. Ga-Wahi's everything together in the right balance. The best holiday destination on the island." Myka smiled.
IC: Ningjing"My name is Liu Ningjing. I am the abbot and currently the only resident of the Ihu Monastery." He looked upon them all, including the three newcomers, with a greeting look. He shook Kaithas's hand.
IC: "I honestly wasn't expecting a still inhabited monastery out here. We just came from Ihu-Koro."
IC: Zakama"Yea we were fixing up the place, its still a piece of work but we are getting a good foundation for it,"
IC: "And we buried the Matoran."
IC: Zakama"Yea, Ihu was attacked and destroyed, we decided to repair and remake the city, and we were going to give a memorial to the matoran but then we saw you,"
IC: "I didn't have enough energy anyway. Growing huts is tough going, especially when you haven't fully charged from a fight."
IC: Zakama"Well we got a decent amount of work done, it was a great job considering we didnt have any blue prints,"
IC:Kreigero walked to the gates of Ko-Koro, stuck her spear into the snow, and sat beside it. She closed her eyes to try to think about the events of the past few days. That's a good idea, considering she was teleported into space the other day, and her hometown just recently got blown up. Luckily, her house hadn't had much damage, but for now, she needed a moment of peace among the crazyness of of the past few days. Reyal circled around her.
IC: I grinned. "Yeah. The wall still needs work though." A frown replaced my smile. "We were originally up here because we are exiles looking to train. We were beaten badly in our last fight, and some high and mighty toa exiled us for the damage done to the Matoran's homes. Though the would have lost much more than that if it wasn't for us."
IC: MykaMyka nodded. "I used to go there all the time. I had a few friends, we used to meet up. But, we drifted apart, and I haven't seen any of them in nearly a century."
IC: Zyron"I know that feeling" Zyron sighed. "But who knows, maybe someday your paths will cross again", he added, trying to sound optimistic. He wasn't sure whether it worked, though...
IC: Myka"Yeah, maybe..." Myka sort of half-smiled, but it could be seen in her eyes that thinking back made her slightly sad.
IC: Zyron"And how about you go to Ga-Wahi and see whether you can get in touch with them again?" the matoran asked carefully. He didn't know Myka well enough to exactly tell what she felt like, but somehow she seemed sad to him. Maybe he could find a way to cheer her up a bit...
