IC: MykaMyka's smile widened slightly. "Only one -- I mean, two of them lived in Ga-Koro, but it may be worth visiting..."
IC: Zongu (Ko-Koro)"To be fair you never really introduced yourself to us. Not to me at least, which is somewhat irrelevant."
IC: Zyron"That sounds like a good idea." Zyron agreed cheerfully. "I could accompany you, if you want. First we need to get to Ko-Koro, though..."So much ice and snow. The Le-matoran shivered. He was definitely not used to this.
IC: Lathon"A monastery..." he said. "That's the sort of place we were looking for." he said.
IC: "Yeah we were. You sure look like you could teach us a thing or two. Particularly me."
IC: MykaMyka's eyes widened as she saw Ko-Koro in the distance. And not in the distant distance. In the rather near, facepalm-range distance. "Well, it appears that I may have gotten lost last time..."
IC: Zyron"Things like that happen" Zyron said. He couldn't help but chuckle. In a way he was relieved, because Ko-Koro being close meant that he would not have to spend several nights out in the cold, which had been something he'd definitely not been looking forward to.
IC: Myka"If anyone asks, I took the scenic route, okay?" Myka laughed, as they approached the village.
IC: Zyron"Alright then" Zyron replied, grinning. What some matoran do for a few widgets...it was one of those things that always surprised himSo this was Ko-Koro. Interesting, he would have imagined it to be different.
IC: MykaAs they entered Ko-Koro, they (specifically, Myka) were approached by two Ko-Matoran. "Well, well, look who it is.""Yes, it's wonderful, can I have the ten widgets now?""Widgets? What widgets?" One of them smirked."The ones you bet me. You bet ten widgets that I couldn't make it to the coast and back." Myka frowned."I don't remember anything about that. Do you remember anything about that, Tyr?" He winked, and the Matoran who seemed to be named Tyr shook his head. "He doesn't remember anything about it either."
IC: [Elysi]"Doesn't matter. I'm borderline evil."
IC:Kreigero opened her eyes as she heard the commotion near hear. She watched as the events unfolded near the gates.
IC: [iegasa]"Now, what do you think of the Cookies?"
IC: Aurel:"Ohkay, valid point. But what's the catch?"
IC: Ningjing"What do you want me to teach you? Do you know what you seek?"
IC: "Well, knowing how to overcome the cold would help."
IC: Ningjing"To resist the cold, one must gather one's elemental energy into the abdomen while inhaling. You must be standing straight with your feet shoulder width apart and slightly curved inward. Then, when exhaling, direct the energy to circulate throughout your body. You must be careful to not let it become manifest; otherwise, you my have a tree growing inside you, or be set on fire from the inside. Deep breathing is essential for this exercise as it helps you relax and maintain concentration. Slowly, one may feel that they are growing resistance to the cold. When you have mastered moving the energy inside you while standing still, when may move on to moving routines."OOC: Was going to research an actual qigong method, but the one I found had improper grammar and I couldn't read it.
IC: I took the stance described and gathered my last remaining elemental energy into my abdomen. I'm actually glad I'm low for once. This would be much harder if I was full up. I exhaled and tried to imagine it flowing through my body like blood. No. Not blood. Sap. I kept repeating the cycle and ever so slowly I felt my resistance building.
IC: Ningjing"Good," he said. "I assume that you've never used your powers in this way before; so used to shooting it out of your hands. I also assume that you're not here for just that, are you?"
IC: "I aim to get stronger, so when the Matoran need me, I'll be able to do my job right. The ice is what defeated me last time, and I won't let it again."
IC: Ningjing"Unlike toa of fire, who can just melt the ice, and toa of ice, who can ignore or absorb it, you need to continue doing this exercise while in the cold. Slowly, your natural resistance will build just by being in the cold, and with this exercise, soon your very energy itself will flow through your veins like your blood offering you extra protection."
IC: "That's not creepy at all." I shrugged. "Very well. Is there anything I can do to make my wood cold resistant?"
IC (Desilix):"I like the cold" Said Desilix, who traveled in the back of the group. "It goes well with my element, sonics. Snow stores tiny air pockets, absorbing sound. I can control my element more without an echo. But of course, there are avalanches.."IC (Nawal):Nawal shuddered at the word "avalanch" siche it had changed his life so many years ago. He was glad that his fellow Matoran were getting a buriel, and his home village was being re-used. But he would stay with the group of Toa, he loved adventure.
IC: Ningjing"Aren't there types of tress that can survive in the cold? You can try using those. But wood contains water, so it is vulnerable to ice AND to lightning. Or are you using dry wood?"OOC: When are we gonna move on to actual fighting?IC DakanDakan teleported away from the meeting spot. A second later, he reappeared. "No sign of this Alyo thingyabob."IC: Zharuk"Hm," he said and continued to wait
IC: I grinned. "It depends. I use dry when confronting lightning. Ice can force its way in no matter what though. Are you a pacifist or can you train us in fighting?"
IC: Ningjing"Fighting disrupts balance, it causes chaos. But it can also be used to rectify chaos, to restore balance. I fight not for good or evil but for balance. Therefore I have created 15 different martial arts; one for each element and one base one, for myself and whoever may come my way to practice."
IC:"I'll take that as a yes. I'll sign up for the training. As for the others, its their decision."
IC: Zakama"I would like to as well," Zakama said after Kaithas
IC (Desilix):"I, too, would like to train" Desilix said, not sure Ningjing could teach him any more than he already knew.IC (Nawal):"If it is possible, I would like to train also. Although I'm not sure how much my... condition... will restrain me." Nawal said, looking at his artifical green arm.
IC: Merla"I'd like to train," she said
IC: (Tarkis)It took me a while to get to Ko-Koro, of course it took anyone a while to get this remote village. The girls here were as cold as they came and I'm not talking about body temperature. Serious people the Ko-Matoran, but then given the fact their village was destroyed by some sort of attack and then a few citizens taken as hostages I could see why. Maybe I could sing a few songs to cheer the people up and charm the gals. I mean most of this island loved me already. I was good at what I did, which was just about everything. To be honest though I was a great musician and I knew it and other people knew it as well. Which was why I was hired for a wedding of Po-Koro's Lieutenant Colonel. With some rumors in hand I made my way towards what was apparently the Cultured Gentry info booth. Seeing that no one was there I looked around and called out. My guitar still strapped to my back."Hello?" I called out.IC: (Valria)Valria was freezing, her battle torn armor and torn cape didn't really do anything against the Winter winds that were buffing her. She might as well been walking up her in no armor at all. She a goal in her mind though, a goal she planned to follow through on. A goal she needed to follow through on. She needed to become stronger, she needed to become faster. So that it wouldn't only be safer for her, but for others. Perhaps she would find that fresh start, that way to make things right, but she couldn't stop. She had to fight on though in her heart she felt that pang of sadness, constantly. It was eating away at her, she could see the image of the hook ripping through...she couldn't even finish that thought without feeling ill. She couldn't believe what she did to Telric. She wanted Mef to still be her, she wanted to go to the beach with him, relax. Resolve the issue of her feelings with him and Kuyre but now that would never come to pass. Mef had died because of her and it seemed that Kuyre had given up on her. She broke off from Agni of her own accord, he would have better friends than her.She happened across the rather large building in her climb, it seemed that descriptions were true, her fingers numbing, she knocked on the door, trying to bang as hard as she could. She wanted to get in, she needed to get in. If she got no response. She would force herself into it. The Toa with the dark green eyes, and very slim figure continued with her banging on the door. Desperately hoping someone inside would her the sound.
IC: Iegasa"No catch."
IC: LathonHe'd been practicing the stance along with Kaithas. He'd felt his power over air swirling through his body, focusing his center, calming his mind. "I will train." he said."I primarily use my blade though, will this training be able to work around that?" he asked. Lathon already saw himself as a powerful fighter. He didn't loose battles, that wasn't how her operated, but there was always room for improvement.
IC: ZyronAt first Zyron just stayed silent and listened, but what he heard was simply too much."Excuse me", he said and took a step forward, "but then both of you might want to check your notes. This lovely lady here made her way right to the coast and back, and now you just want to pretend it never happened? Either you have a very bad memory, or..."The matoran left the sentence unfinished, not at last because he wasn't sure what he, a complete stranger, could dare to say on that matter. Maybe he'd already said too much, anyway.IC: MykaAs they entered Ko-Koro, they (specifically, Myka) were approached by two Ko-Matoran.
IC: MykaMyka blushed slightly at being called a 'lovely lady', but it wasn't noticed by Tyr and the other Ko-Matoran, who were so used to being unchallenged that they weren't entirely sure what to do. "Well, uh, sir, we was just having ourselves some fun, we didn't mean any harm. Right, Tyr?" After being elbowed by the other Matoran, Tyr grunted and nodded. "Here's your widgets, Myka. Um... spend them well."The Matoran handed ten quickly counted-out widgets to Myka, and then walked away, unusually quickly. "That was quite brave."
IC: Zongu"Ah." Zongu frowned at Elysi. "We can't have that I'm afraid."
IC: Keuirce"Yeah. Lowest mark on the scale of morality allowed is Chaotic Neutral." Keuirce frowned. "On a side-note, lowest mark on the scale of intelligence is Zongu, so you're fine there."
IC: ZyronHe raised an eyebrow. "To be honest, I wouldn't have expected it to work like that. But I'm glad I could be of help."Well, that had been easy. Almost too easy...
IC: Myka"At least I now know that they're scared of the prospect of a fight." Myka smiled. "So, what brings you to Ko-Koro?"
IC: [Elysi]"It's not like I kill random people for fun."
