IC: Vlad / Infirmary
"Indeed. Though, I vill varn you, you probably vill. Most everyone does eventually, especially zese days... Don't vorry though, as lonk as you aren't dead, Palma vill be able to fix you up." There was no point in lying about it, the school was a violent place. It was tough to keep out of the Infirmary for long as of late, frankly Vlad was amazed he hadn't been there more often.
IC: Drift - Infirmary
My eyes narrowed as I saw a rather still, green Rahkshi on one of the beds.
"Is he... dead?"
OOC: Referring to Mantis's corpse.
IC: Vlad / Infirmary
"Er..." said Vlad. He had just been telling Drift that Palma was more or less indomitable in her healing prowess, and this was a rather sobering contradiction. An awkward silence ensued...
...
"...maybe? I vould not know..."
Ivan was more certain. As a Rahi with finely developed hearing and smell he could tell somehow something was off. He squeaked out a sad affirmative. "Ivan thinks so, though," interpreted Vlad solemnly.
IC: Drift - Infirmary
"Huh..." I looked down, unsure of what to do.
"So... I guess we continue the tour?" I asked, trying to pull my mind off the fact that in this 'school', survival wasn't even close to guaranteed.
IC:Shadow-gym
Shadow saw her reaching for her staff, and so he thought of a way to escape with his life, first a distraction, He sharpened his quill to make it a dart, threw it towards her, and Ran, he needed to patch up his arm a bit, He ran towards the doorway, and went towards to courtyard, He needed to stall her, and the fohrok there are very territorial towards the garden, he needed to get her to mess with the garden, step on it or something, so the fohrok would stall long enough for a short trip to the infirmary to get the arm patched up, for blood was still coming out.
IC: Vlad / Infirmary --> Hallways
"...yeah, I guess ve vill." Vlad turned from the room, relieved to leave the Infirmary - which was increasingly closer to a morgue. He lead Drift through the hallways towards the Gym next.
"Now ve're approaching zer Gym," he explained. The clanging of weaponry, shouts of pain, and battlefield banter filtered through the door into the hall. "Zer place to spar or practice your combat skills..." he continued solemnly, "vhich is seemink like a good idea as of late."
IC: Drift - Hallways, Gym
I tilted my head, considering Vlad's words. I'd wanted to be nonviolent, but maybe basic self-defense practice was in order. I nodded to Vlad, ready to continue the tour.
IC Vaalku
"Oh... Really? Thanks..." Vaalku tried his best to not lose focus. "Thanks for that. The one who attacked me, he's got some severe mental issues. He-" He looked down at himself.
He was getting to be more and more resilient. "How did I survive that?"
IC: Rain - Gym to Hallways
Rain ducked out of the way of the dart, then charged after him, brandishing her staff to impale him. He wasn't getting away that easy.
As she burst through the doors with hiss of rage, she pushed past a blindingly bright Rahk and his subtly glowing companion. The intricate designs on her armor caught her attention for a moment, but she shook it off. There would be time to chat once this... scribbler was dead.
He ran off to the Courtyard, but didn't try to fly off like she would expect. All the easier. His path took them towards the gardens, though he was careful not to step in them. She followed in his footsteps, steadily gaining on him with her taller frame. She had learned her lesson with the gardens. Though the flowers were pretty, the Fohrok had never even allowed her to touch them. Trampling them would be out of the question, even if she wanted to. She wasn't that mad.
IC: Vlad / Hallways --> Courtyard
Vlad continued on. "You've already been to zer Refectory, vhere zey serve students gourmet quality garbage, for absolutely no charge," he said sarcastically, his face twisting in disgust at the mere thought of the Refectory slop. "Next I suppose is zer Courtyard." They stepped into the open expanse. "Zere's not much to actually do here. But sometimes I come out here, during the day, for zer light." Bright light still disoriented Vlad, but not nearly as much as it did a normal Rahkshi. Just look at his cloak and you'd see that.
IC:Vorzorak
"I'm not entirely sure, I was almost sure I wouldn't get you here in time, and I can see he's got several mental issues, but I dont know how you survived, err, whats your name?"
That question returned to Vorzorak, he knew literally nobody's name,
IC: Shadow
Oh no, she caught on to the trick, all he needed to do though was get to the infirmary, to batch up the arm, He reclined and went into flight, as he exited the courtyard he burst past 2 other rahkshi
He was losing blood, He was getting woozy, he needed to fly to the infirmary, to get patched up,
Just a little longer...
IC: Drift - Courtyard
I shielded my eyes from the bright light.
"I think I'll find myself frequenting this place as well, although for different reasons." It was so much calmer than inside the Academy...
IC: Toxin/Outside Phantom's Cave
I woke up. I wasn't cold. Why? I then saw my suit. Was I dead? No. Shifting around shown that I had fallen out of the gaping hole in my head. I was a Kraata now. Quickly I crawled my way up a tree to hide until Kat and co. were leaving.
IC: Rain - Courtyard to Hallways
The tip of her staff could almost scratch his back, but then he suddenly took off down the halls. He was getting away, but she wouldn't let him, even if she was losing her lead.
Oh, look there's that nice glowing Rahk... Focus. Death first, paint later.
His flight was becoming erratic. So was hers, to be fair. Her spines still ached as they flopped in the wind of her pursuit. But she poured all she had into going faster. She wasn't missing this chance. The pointed tip of her staff was thrust forward like a jouster, going in for the kill.
OOC: It's probably not daytime, Aerixx, or no one would be out in the courtyard at all. Unless you were referring to the Cloak of Umbra.
IC: Vlad / Courtyard
"Vell, zat is about it. Ve covered zer Gym, Refectory, Infirmary, Courtyard... You know vhere to find your dorm, I assume?" Of course he did, he'd written its number in the cluttered room, but Vlad asked anyways.
IC: Booger-Infiramary
"Hey you're awake." Booger said to Ripcord. "How are you feeling?"
IC:Shadow
He had just felt something stab his back, instead of crying out in pain, he put one arm on the spot just to apply pressure on the wound
He only had to go a bit faster, or maybe, he took out his knife, glanced back, and threw it at his pursuer, he hadn't the energy to maintain flight much longer, just down the hall, and... he had almost made it, he rolled a half a foot away from the door and yelled
"Come on!"
and so attempted to crawl inside, just a little longer, just a little while ago, Shadow was winning the battle, well, not anymore, he got inside, and said
"Incoming patient!"
he was hoping he didn't get stabbed again, and with that he fell flat on his face.
IC Vaalku
"Vaalku." Vaalku said. "I've been attacked repeatedly, and every time, I survived." He looked at that stubs where his limbs had been.
He gave a sigh. "Someday my luck will run out, and i'll be sorry." He noticed the insane one waking.
"He's up."
IC: Vorzorak-Infirmary
Vozorak made sure he had arrows and his bow ready, he only has 6 arrows left, that was enough though,
"Ok, my name is Vorzorak, and then you better be careful, and travel in a team, because that way, you'll be a bit safer, that way, your luck will hold out a little longer."
IC Vaalku
"The only issue is, the only Rahks I personally know are trying to kill each other and none of them trust me." Vaalku said.
"And now I only have two limbs left, so that sucks."
IC: Vorzorak
"Yeah, that may be a problem" said Vorzorak
OOC: I'm quitting the RP. I can't find the time any more.
Cuutuk and Dejoks Terminated (for now)
IC: Drift - Courtyard
I nodded.
"So..."
IC: Rain - Hallways to Infirmary
She managed to catch him with the edge of her staff, but before she could finish the job, a knife sent her skittering off to the side of the hall. It had embedded in the arm holding her staff. Karz, that would make this... difficult. She yanked out the knife and threw it down the hall before pulling herself to her feet. Just about everything ached, and she limped as she slowly stepped towards her victim. He was helpless and slow. It would be too easy.
She swapped her staff to her other hand and held it above his back. No second chances. "No one... and I mean no one..." she hissed, breathing heavily in her rage, "Scribbles on my paint! I'm not giving you a chance to regret it!"
She brought the staff down. It would be a killing blow...
Except she realized too late where she stood. In his panic, he had inadvertedly ran into the safest room in the school. The Infirmary was protected. Now it was time to meet the wrath of its protector.
OOC: Cue Palma wreckage. ![]()
IC: Vorzorak
Vorzorak looked at the doorway and saw a rahkshi about to Stab another rahkshi
"What in Karzahni are you doing!" Yelled Vorzorak "I've had enough seeing this sort of thing, aren't rahkshi supposed to not kill eachother? and why try and kill him while he's in the infirmary, that is stupid and pointless, killing eachother is pointless!"
Vorzorak really did not like this behavior, well yes he did shoot an arrow at someone, but that was to save another, and that guy sort of deserved an arrow in him.
IC Vaalku
Oh, if only he wasn't so weak and tired right now...
He laid back, looking towards the Rahkshi, and knowing that they would pounce it.
IC: Era - Empty Dorm Wing.
"Let's do it," I said, taking Jayar and Hoto's hands. I couldn't hide my own excitement. Who knew how this Kaita would turn out, what new form we might take. So long as we had eyes, I didn't even care.
IC: Sanurahk- Dorms
Sanurahk was merely sitting outside his dorm playing the flute, just sort of random notes that came out together and sounded nice, Music, Creativity is good, and he has 2 ways to express his creativity, Music, and working with metal, that metal working kit was handy, he was thinking of making a Knife later, His staff is good though, but... there was so many different things he could do!
IC: Vlad / Courtyard
"Vell... I guess ve just... do vhatever?" Ivan gave off a squeak, alerting Vlad of his mistake. "No, vait, I forgot to show you somethink!" Vlad started off back into the school, gesturing for Drift to follow him.
IC: Drift - Courtyard
I eagerly followed Vlad, petting the bird on my shoulder. It had stopped being so tense, seemingly warming up to my presence.
Ooc: AHA! A CHALLENGER APPROACHES!
Ic: Siren
Siren had been sitting in the doorway of the infirmary, resting. A sudden squabble had erupted into the infirmary, but Siren kept on resting, one eye on the battle, just in case of something...
Then, a different rahk got up, a new rahk. He was already intolerable. She stood up and looked at him.
"It is an experiment." She said cooly. "What happens in here is all under various control variables and conditions - any anomaly will likewise be removed. However, the Rahkshi, us, are the independent variable - anything that happens will be noted down for future testing. Our brothers, the non-changed rahkshi, are the control variables. We fight, therefore we are." She finished, all the while glaring at the rahkshi and making violent hand gestures to prove her point.
She waited.
Ooc: Science, female dog.
oh yeah, that's also Vozorahk Dragon.
IC: Vorzorak-Infirmary---> Hallway
Vorzorak wanted to ignore that, but he couldn't ignore it, it was so, so, Confusing, yet logical, when he finally wrapped his head around it,
and so Vorzorak went off, thinking
I need a weapon, and more arrows
IC: "The other way round?" tried Tridax, "The Matoran being attacked by the students?" He sighed, "Well, it appears I must intervene yet again."
IC: Phantom paused for a moment when confronted by Kat...then simply vanished from view again. Kat was taken aback for a moment, almost as if the enormity that was Phantom suddenly disappearing left an actual hole in her mind, but snapped out of it just as a voice spoke up in her ear.
"Step."
The punch felt like she'd been hit by a train. She could feel the fresh dents in her faceplates pressing against the shadowflesh of her kraata. And more worryingly, Phantom had stayed invisible. His next attack could be coming right now and she'd have no way of knowing...
IC: Palma was momentarily distracted from healing Xara when Drift pointed out Mantis. For Kojol's Sake, not another one...
Fortunately her attention was redirected again by the dramatic entrance of Shadow and his pursuer. It took her two strides to reach the entrance, and one swing of her caduceus to deflect the staff. Her other hand came forward, the palm planting itself into Rain's chest, Palma's combined strength and momentum imparting enough force to send Rain flying backwards, landing sprawling with a bump on the floor outside.
"I have had a very busy day. I advise you not to try that again."
IC: Vlad / Hallways
Vlad and Ivan approached a quiet room. "In here," he declared to Drift, "is zer Library. Anythink you vould like to know can likely be found in vun of zer almost endless books in zere."
IC: Sontiri (Jayar) / Empty Classrom
Woah.
It was a sensation even the poetic Jayar could not truly describe. Suddenly he was not himself, but something greater, in body... and in mind.
It was like... a flood? inadequate, no metaphor could suffice... but from within and without at the same time, from the mind of Sontiri, but not his part of that mind. It was Hoto. Everything came pouring out of her, directed at Jayar, threatening to overwhelm him with its torrential intensity. Everything she was, she gave to him. Every memory... every fear and doubt... the entirety of her love. He couldn't escape it, he couldn't even try. He let it wash over him instead, laughing where Hoto had laughed, cringing as Hoto had cringed, accepting everything she was.
But before he had the chance to contemplate any of it - swift and sudden - came reversal. The tide shifted, and suddenly the flood was coming from him.
Jayar almost tried to hold it back. The though of losing everything was unnerving, but Hoto had shown him the way. And it was not withholding, nor losing, but sharing it, everything. Every aspect of himself. The jealousy, and the shame accompanying it. The guilt that he had never faced trouble or tragedy as so many others had. The drive to help others in these struggles, help them bear the burden he had not himself. The love he felt for Hoto, reciprocated with the same intensity it had been received. The slight awkwardness he felt that Era was privy to this love. The gratitude he felt to both of them, that they were doing this for his sake.
All of it, everything he had been, he relinquished. There was no loss. What he had been, he was no longer. Now he was part of a greater whole, whose name echoed triumphantly through his... their... mind, as clearly as the beautiful song of their wings echoing through the room.
Sontiri.
They were Sontiri.
IC: Rain - Infirmary
Her staff went flying out of her off-hand, but she didn't have much time to mourn its loss. The sudden impact came quickly after it, and Rain stumbled backwards, but her aching body couldn't keep up with the push. She landed in a very undignified pile, her mouth hanging open comically with shock.
"P-P-Palma!" she stammered. "I-I didn't... but he... I..." She fell into a silent pout. He would die, but she couldn't do it with Palma there. She had enough respect for the healer to give her that. Plus, she had a fearsome reputation for any who would dare fight in the Infirmary.
She stood up and brushed herself off quietly. Precious flakes of paint came off with the dust, and she nearly shed a tear to fall with them. She humbly pushed past her would-be victim and the healer with a quick whisper of "You're lucky this time, punk." She needed a bit of healing of her own. A bit of paint wouldn't hide her broken spines or the stab wound in her arm.
IC: Drift - Library
I took it all in. It was the room I had stumbled into earlier, while looking for the refectory. Thankfully, no-one was fighting anymore. Suddenly, my eyes alit.
"Hey, do you know where the chemistry section is?"
IC: Vlad / Library
"No. Vhy?"
IC: Drift - Library
"Here, give me a second..." I gently removed the bird from my shoulder and placed it on a vacant table. Then, concentrating my Kualrahk powers, teleported around around the different bookshelves in rapid succession, trying to find the shelf labelled chemistry.
"Nope... not this one... aha!" I scooped up the first few books I saw, then came back to Vlad. I opened the top one eagerly, only to realize I couldn't read anything.
"Um... can you read this?"
OOC: If he couldn't read, how did he know it was chemistry? Hence the following:
IC: Vlad / Library
Vlad looked at the book, confused. "Erm... I do not vish to dissapoint you, but zat is a book on gardenink, not chemistry. If you vant I'll go find you vun zat is about chemistry, though."
