IC: Sidonas - Doublecross Base

Sidonas ignored Punch, grabbing his gear, he acknowledged what had been told to him. "Got it. Everyone ready? Yes? Then head out. Recoil, follow me, and watch my back please." Sidonas headed out North, hoping Recoil had his back, remaining silent as he walked.

IC: Sanurahk-Doublecross

"So," Said Sanu to (Sliver) "We need to hide the Flag, I say somewhere that normal rahkshi wouldn't be able to get to, only teleportation rahkshi." He Continued.

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Starnhorn Range).

"Very well...." I said to the teleportation Rahkshi. I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not, because there was only one way his statement made sense... "We will never forget your sacrifice." 

IC: Sanu-Doublecross

"Slow down there, I never said I'd Sacrifice myself, I just meant hid away somewhere that Only I could get to via Teleportation! What are you Crazy?" Sanu yelled in Response

IC: Alpha/Doublecross/Peaks

"At your level, you can only dodge a short distance. Not very useful unless you were a level 6. And as for Sliver, that means you're now responsible for keeping and holding the flag."

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Starnhorn Range).

"The only place a teleportation Rahkshi can get to that another can't is inside a solid object - which would kill you," I said, feigning confusion. This guy really was an idiot. "So I assumed you were offering to give your life to keep the flag hidden."

Surely he realised by now that I was mocking him? 

IC: Sanu-Doublecross Base

"Actually I can only teleport short distances within my Range of sight, and can I see inside a Solid object? No." Replied Sanu

IC: Shark / Team Doublecross / Doublecross Peaks Base

"We could find a cave or fissure," pointed out Shark. "If the entrance is small enough, but there's enough space inside that he can see, he could conceivably reach a location inaccessible to anyone unable to teleport or bring the whole thing down."

IC: Jayar / Causeway

Jayar reached out his hand and brushed it gently against the side of Hoto's faceplate, lifting her downturned head.

"I understand." For he did. There was no way for her to remember, but within Sontiri she'd shown him the diffculties of living blind, the joy of at last having friends she could rely upon... the love... When she remembered, it would be small consolation in the face of the horrors of everything else, but she'd know that he understood, and be certain his feelings were true.

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Starnhorn Range).

I very nearly facepalmed. He doesn't even know how his own powers work? The stupidity radiating off of this guy was becoming legitimately painful.  "Forget it," I took the flag, "let's just find a choke point and set up a defence there." 

IC Poly:

We were suddenly seized by a strange anger.

These two were meddlers. getting in the way, interrupting our peace. The noisome one especially.

Our arm came up, an energy rhotuka filled with both its own humming energy and my own powers of Poison launching itself almost lazily at the the one still entangled in the net.

In our other hand, the rapier that had helped us kill the musical one came into the light.

IC: Sanu-Doublecross

"Now that, is what I was thinking, not any of that Sacrificial Stuff your Talking about." Said Sanu referring to (Shark) "but apparently not you." Gesturing to (Sliver) 

IC Fog: Doublecross

Fog arrived rather late, having gotten lost. Walking up to a random Rahk, who happened to be Sliver, he asked, "What's going on?"

IC: Root - Base to Visorak Jungle (Team Doublecross)

Root rather unheroically withered under the scrutiny. What cause had he not to be a hero?

However, the words of his companions were certainly rousing, and he filled out like a freshly watered bush once more. "Of c-c-course!" he burst out. "C-c-come, Shield, w-w-we m-must m-make ready our st-t-trategy!"

He strode off into the woods, embracing the natural setting around him. Beyond his jungle of a room and the paper-filled shelves he was often found in, 'twas rare for him to be amidst so much greenery. His leafy form nearly vanished as if 'twere camouflage.

IC: Fang - Visorak Jungle (Team Backstab)

He refused to participate in the conversation going on behind him. He was finding the enemy base, retrieving that flag, and returning to get this assignment over with as soon as possible. He could not afford failure, not after the humiliation with Exxan. He even tried to mute his footfalls with little success.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

She gave him a small smile. "I hope so," she mumbled. "I... I don't want to lie anymore."

IC Vaalku

Well, that had been painful. Not as bad as being beaten by Deadeye, though. Thanking Palma, Vaalku began making his way to the courtyard.

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Starnhorn Range).

"We're defending the flag," I told the latecomer, holding it up for him to see. "We don't want the enemy grabbing this." 

IC Fog: Doublecross

"Then why in the world are you holding it up for all to see? Now, suppose I had found some red berries and made them into paint, then put these markings on? I could just hit you and take the flag. Not that I am, or that I will, but you are being too trusting. Now then. Where are we going to hide it?"

IC: Shark / Team Doublecross / Doublecross Peaks Base

"Well, that settles that," Shark declared. "Our three recon teams are myself and Silver to the east, Recoil and Sidonas to the north, and Root and Shield to the south. We'll gather all the information we deem nessecary and meet back here. By that time, you guys should have the flag hidden," he said authoritatively. "We probably don't have long, and we don't want it caught out in the open."

With that, he sprinted into the forest after Silver, his footsteps eerily silent. Stealth came easy for a Rahkshi of Silence.

IC: Jayar / Causeway

Jayar smiled a little as well, despite knowing that Hoto couldn't discern the gesture. "I don't either," he agreed, letting his hand drop. "It's too foolish, brings too much pain... No more."

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Starnhorn Range).

"I'm not being trusting," I snapped back. Why was it everyone I met around here saw fit to insult my intelligence. "I already know exactly who's on the other team, and if you'd used berries it would look nothing like the paint that's currently on your face." 

I sighed. The sheer amount of stupidity around me was becoming quite depressing. "Now, as for where to hide it, we need to find a good, defensible location somewhere near here."

IC Fog: Doublecross

"It would probably be best to hide it in a hard-to-find location and guard a red herring, like the South Islands capture a long time ago.", Fog said, ignoring the retort.

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Sharnhorn Range).

"Normally I'd agree with you," I said calmly, leaning on the flag, "but we have the advantage of numbers. There's no point dividing up our forces when we possess an enormous numerical advantage over the enemy." 

IC Fog: Doublecross

"Never rely on your advantages. Also, have you noticed our solidarity is pretty lacking?", Fog gestured to Root's disappearing form, "We can't rely on numbers to win this. We don't know what will happen. For all we know, half our group will be ambushed and killed by Visorak!"

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Sharnhorn Range).

"I think you need to stop making presumptuous statements when you don't have all of the facts," I snapped back. I'd had quite enough of having my decisions questioned by someone who clearly didn't know what they were talking about. "Those two are one of our scout pairs. They were supposed to leave." 

IC Fog: Doublecross

Man, this person got hot under the collar easily. "So fine, maybe you're right. But you're distracting from the point. The point is that there is nothing to be lost by planting a red herring, and everything to be gained."

IC: Sliver - Team Doublecross (Sharnhorn Range). 

"We've already sent half of our team out to scout," I reminded the moron, "we gain nothing from dividing the remainder of our forces into a further half and assigning one of those halves to guarding nothing at all."

I shoved past him and started walking. "Now, if you're done wasting my time, let's get moving!" 

IC: Punch+Counterpunch and Alpha/Doublecross/Peaks

They followed Sliver.

IC: Venom - Empty Dorm Wing

Venom stifled a silent laugh as she watched the proceeding events from behind her corner.

IC: Liar - Causeway

For a place that was supposedly on the brink of collapse, the school seemed to be in much better condition than Liar would've hoped.

Oh well.

Taking comfort in the fact that there was still plenty of opportunities to cause a little chaos himself, he pushed open the doors to the school, his mouth forming a slick grin as a thought came to the forefront of his mind.

Now, where to begin...?

OOC: Liar is open to interaction.

IC: Recoil

Recoil loaded a metal sphere in her launcher and covered Sidonas, making sure to fire when nescessary.

IC: Vorzorak-DoubleCross

Vorzorak was looking down into the Forest, it was pretty big, and it was teeming with Rahi, and Rahkshi, and he knew, he would have to fire his Bow at a fellow Rahkshi today...

IC Fog: Doublecross

"You are entirely misinterpreting my intent. You hide it, well, and don't guard it. Then you guard a red herring, and when they go for it, you take them out."

IC Vaalku

Approaching the Courtyard, he found it full of Rahks, including the one he had shocked so long ago.

But... Was that a stage? Poorly constructed, but strong enough to hold several Rahks at a time.

Grabbing the side of it, he hauled himself up.

OOC: Vaalku open to interaction.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

Her grin widened. "Sounds good," she said.

She took a look around the isolated pillar where they stood. They were a little close for comfort to Nynrah. "Maybe... we should go before your... fleshy monster finds us."

IC: Lucid / Courtyard

For some strange reason, the Porter wasn't responding. Lucid let it be and approached Vaalku instead.

"Hey, you're that guy who said I was a murderer!" she said brightly. "How's it going? You here to join the talent show?"

IC: Jayar / Causeway

Jayar looked to the island in the distance for a moment before nodding to Hoto. "Probably," he agreed, as he leapt easily to the next pillar. He would have offered her his hand in other circumstances, but that likely wouldn't work while doing intense parkour.

It was good that they hadn't killed the monster - Jayar knew how much worse Hoto would be faring if that had happened - but it also surely meant that it remained a threat. And now, it would want revenge. Hopefully it had no way to know that Tridax, along with most of the student body, was gone at the moment...

IC Kat(blue)

"What are you thinking," I asked, moving to the aforementioned building. Bringing it down shouldn't be hard, the Karzed thing was already pretty decrepit. Bringing it down the way I needed would be the challenge.

IC: Sidonas - Visorak

Sidonas crept through the jungle, lowering his voice, he spoke to Recoil. "See anyone or anything?" Sidonas kept his eyes open and was alert, scanning around for wildlife or enemy Rahkshi. He gripped Hook tightly, his finger on the release switch for the grapple.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

As they traveled back to the school, she quickly found her rhythm, leaping across the pillars smoothly and easily. It wasn't long before she arrived back on solid ground. She turned back at the walls of the school to see how Jayar was faring.

IC: Jayar / Causeway

Jayar wasn't as fast as Hoto, but who was faster than a level 3 Dodge Rahkshi? (She was fast, even for that... Had she leveled up?) His steps from pillar to pillar were quick and accurate, and he reached the school a few moments after she did, smiling.

"You've gotten really fast," Jayar said. "I think you may have reached level 4." There was no awkward pause or strain to keep the jealousy out of his voice, for it wasn't there to hide. After what that had caused the last time, he'd learned his lesson about it as well.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

"I... I did?" she stammered. Somehow, it didn't feel all that exciting. She almost felt... guilty about it, though she couldn't remember why. Hadn't he said they formed the Kaita to help him level up?

"Did... you and Era level up too?" she asked softly.

IC: Jayar / Causeway

"Oh, yes, I think so," Jayar said. "Era said she did, and I'm pretty sure I healed too fast after the whole ordeal to still be level 2."

He paused. Then, with sincere gratitude, he declared, "I hadn't gotten the chance yet, but now: thank you, Hoto. For teaching me echolocation, forming Sontiri for my sake... for trusting me." Now that they were on solid ground, he reached out his hand for her to take. "Fortune smiles upon me, that I might have you by my side."

IC: Era/Exxan - Team Backstab (Farsholt Village).

"What did you have in mind?" I asked Exxan. 

"Sonics," he replied quickly, "if the rest of us take up ambush positions within the ruins and stay quiet, you should be able to pick up on any one or thing that sneaks into the village."

I thought that over. He made a good argument. Perhaps this was an assignment where I could finally make myself useful. "I could probably help knock down this building first."

For karz's sake... I rounded on the irritating Rahkshi. "Would you please stop making suggestions when you have no idea what's going on?" I snapped. "The enemy team have half as many players as we do, so there's no point splitting up our forces any further to go guard red herrings. We have the advantage, so let's use it." 

I came up over a small rise and squeezed through a narrow gap in the rocks, finding myself in a clearing of sorts. 

"Now this is a good spot." 

IC: Alpha/Doublecross/Starnhorn Range

"I agree with Sliver. The other team is also has more experienced Rahkshi. If we thin our forces even more, we'll be defeated or even killed for sure."
