Corpus Rahkshi

IC: Illusive - Empty Dorm Wing.

Confused as to how the other Rahkshi had managed to jump so high straight up into the air with no run-up or ramp without hitting the low ceiling, I stabbed Serpent-Fang up towards his descending form, intending to let him impale himself. 

IC Poly:

Our eyes went wide. The other's sword was in fact a spear of some variety. There was no time, no room, and although we tryed in vain to redirect the blade, it was too little too late, and we fell upon it heavily, the shining blade piercing our chest. As our weight fell upon the other rahkshi and bile hacked from our throat, one word emanated from our mouth.

"Betrayal."

IC: Illusive - Empty Dorm Wing. 

I retracted Serpent-Fang's blade and used the staff to lever the other Rahkshi off of me. As I got to my feet, though, that stupid voice in my head came back with a vengeance. Of course it had to show up at a time like this. 

Is he dead?

Who cares?

You should.

Why? He attacked me. I acted in self-defence.

Just like your other victims did?

Get out of my head. 

IC Poly: 

We struggled to our feet, fluids leaking from the wound in our chest. we were destined with beautiful purpose. We could not fall now.

"You..... you have seen pain. And death.  We would know your name."

Warily putting my staff away, I pulled a roll of paper out of a pouch on my belt and scrawled my name on it: Illusive. If this Rahkshi had seen any of my notes around the school, they'd probably recognise my handwriting. 

IC: Venom - Empty Dorm Wing

As Venom heard the door open, she closed her eyes, waiting for the sounds of the Rahkshi's footsteps to tell her when he'd be right where she wanted him.

Instead, she heard a metalic object being thrown into the room and the door being slammed; sounds that clearly indicated a diversionary tactic of his own.

She opened her eyes for a moment, only to realise that she couldn't see. Thinking her foe to be a repainted Darkness Rahkshi, she silently felt around in the dark for whatever he threw in the room as the sounds of battle could be heard from outside of the door. Creeping over towards it and opening it just a bit, she saw her pursuer combating the third Rahkshi of the group, his attention clearly diverted from her position.

Now was her chance...

Throwing what appeared to be the chain he threw previously towards a spot she presumed to be a rather small distance away from his feet, she cautiously pulled open the door, stepped into the hallway and proceeded to enter Flight Mode in an attempt to escape.

IC Poly:

We staggered forward.

"Illusive.... your brother was Silencer, yes. We remember you. Brothers, ripped from each other too soon. We offer our condolences."

We would have said more, but at that moment, the door which had been closed opened, a long length of something came flying out, and suddenly therewas darkness. And then something else slammed bodily into us.

OOC: That's Venom.

IC: Illusive - Empty Dorm Wing.

Oh karz.... Darkness surrounded me, and I heard the sound on an impact. 

Look what you've gone and done this time. Why is violence always your answer to everything?

Shut up! I spotted the tell-tale flicker of light that was Legion and picked it up, opening up the links and letting the trapped light spill back into the open where it belonged. As my vision was returned to me, I saw that the anger Rahkshi had crashed into the Lerahk. 

I got to my feet, but this time didn't draw my weapon. I had a strange feeling that perhaps, this time, the voice was right. There might be another way to solve this problem without anymore blood being spilled....

IC: Hoto - Causeway

"No, I... I just didn't know what else to do. With everyone gone..., there isn't much for me here."

He seemed distracted, occasionally glancing at the horizon as if waiting for something. "What are you looking at?" she asked. It was slightly irritating that he was taking her echolocation for granted. She couldn't see that far.

IC: Tube - Library

Tube sat back quietly with mace at the ready. Deadeye had already surprised them once. He wasn't getting another chance to hurt Whak. Not while Tube was there.

Ic: San (empty dorm room)

This could have gone better

He almost got crushed as the... Thing burrowed its way into the ground with the other rahkshi inside it. He sighed and shook his head. He then walked over to the dormitories to have a rest. Unfortunately, he didn't know the way, and so ended up in the opposite end of the place he wanted to be. If was creepy here, he almost expected to find drawings on the walls or something. He turned a corner to expect to find his room, but instead found three rahkshi. In "his room".

WHAT THE KARZ ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!?! he shouted so loudly that the text turned bold.

IC: Venom - Empty Dorm Wing

Karz...

Venom had flew straight into one of the other two Rahkshi in her haste to escape, deviating her flight-path enough to send her colliding into the floor.

Pain raked across her body as she quickly began picking herself back up, only to have her vision forcefully readjust itself due to the sudden return of light. After a moment, she was able to see enough to make out the shapes of their bodies, which was good enough for her.

She wasn't sticking around to see what they were planning to do next.

Forcing herself back to her feet, she made a short dash towards the other end of the hallway before transforming into Flight Mode once more and making a bee line towards the exit.

IC: Liar - Hallway

Liar continued his casual stroll throughout the school before coming across a poster demonising one of the staff he had heard so much about.

A coy smile formed across his face.

It seemed that he wasn't the only one around here looking to stir up a bit of anarchy.

IC: Hoto and Jayar were disturbed from the peaceful reverie by the slow march of a single Porter. It seemed slightly confused and baffled as to why it was here.

"Student Hoto. Student Jayar. Student Era redacted absent on assignment. There is. Guest. For you."

It was having trouble forming sentences that were new an unfamiliar to its brain of wires and clockwork. It had managed to get the point across to them though. Someone had come for Hoto, Jayar, and apparently also Era, and there were only so many people that could be

The anger Rahkshi took time to recover from her unsteadiness, time which I used to head her off and throw myself directly into her path as she started to fly towards the end of the corridor.

Out the corner of my eye, I saw some confused Rahkshi who'd somehow walked right past out fight and was yelling into an empty room. Karz knew what was wrong with him, and I was too busy trying to tackle the anger rahk to wonder about it. 

With any luck, I'd be able to hold her down long enough to force her to explain herself. After that, I wasn't sure what to do with her. 

Her fate would depend on what she had to say for herself....

Ugh... This guy just doesn't know when to quit!

Feeling herself being taken out of the air yet again, this time she she was able to disengage Flight Mode before once again becoming reacquainted with the floor. While he was able to pin most of her body against the cold stone beneath them, one of her arms was able to grab ahold of her knife, allowing her to pull it quickly from its sheathe and slide it up against his throat in one smooth motion before he could get a good grasp on it.

"Get off of me," she hissed, her tone leaving him little reason to think that she wouldn't use it. "Now!"

I just shook my head, grinning openly. 

If she were to twist her neck and look down between us just a little, she would find the oversized talons of one of my hands - not unlike knives themselves - pressed up agaisnt her throat.

Stalemate....

IC: Venom - Empty Dorm Wing

Venom followed the Rahkshi's gaze just enough to realise the predicament she was now in, quickly figuring out a bit too late that not all of the students here were as unskilled as she was led to believe.

Karz...

IC: Lucid / Courtyard

Lucid frowned. "What, have you got something against porters?" she demanded.

IC: Vlad / Courtyard

He was probably right, most Rahkshi would probably have just came to kill Vlad and be done with it. He was a fool to expect anything more than an apology. He was the vampire Rahk, a repulsive hunter of his own kin. If he was hoping for compassion, he was obviously hoping for too much.

"Vell... thank you zen." he mumbled. He wasn't sarcastic about it, he just wasn't happy either.

IC: Jayar / Causeway

"There's nothing there..." Jayar explained apologetically. "I told you of the letter we had Suvak send to Grossh? Since there's nothing for us here, I was hoping maybe there would be a boat on the horizon, sent by Grossh, come to take us to Malebranche..." He sighed. "Doesn't look like it's happening, though."

And of course a Porter had to choose this very moment to approach them. "Go aw-" he started, only to halt as the porter's message continued, " - wait... guest?" And for himself, Hoto, and Era? That surely meant Grossh, or one of his associates.

"...Perhaps I have been proven wrong," he said to Hoto. "Should we go and check?"

Now what are you going to do? my inner voice asked, seeming more curious than critical for once.

I... don't actually know.... normally if I had someone pinned to the ground like this I'd be in the process of trying to tear them apart. That didn't seem like a good idea with a knife at my throat.

Why don't you do the gentlemanly thing and help the lady up?

I gently removed my claws from her throat and straightened to my feet, holding out my hand in a wordless offer to help her get up. As long as she didn't decide to do anything stupid, no more rahk blood had to be spilled.

IC: Shadow-Backstab/Forest

It was going well, until Shadow stepped on something, that cracked, and echoed through the Forests

"Cao get down." he Said dropping to the Ground. 

Oh boy, now I'm probably gonna die...

OOC: What, something bad had to happen eventually, and apparently I had to be the one to get it in motion. I mean, who here can walk through a forest, without stepping on a Branch? 

IC: Silver - Visorak wilds

A few bio away from me, I saw a few birds fly off their perch. I quickly stopped held up two fingers to Vorjak.

IC: Vorzorak-doubleCross Base

Vorzorak hadn't seen anyone yet, but the was a little Suspicious activity in the forest, a Cracking sound Echoed, and then it was silent again, He readied his Bow just in case someone Sprung out of those woods. 

IC: Shark / Team Doublecross / Visorak Wilds

Shark nodded and deactivated the silence field immediately, and stood unmoving, as soundless as he could be without using his power. Unmoving... except for his eyes, which scanned the forest for any movement.

IC: Silver - Visorak wilds

There it was, the last remnant of the echo.

"Someone's there," I whispered as quietly as I could, pointing in the direction it had come from.

"Reactivate it and we make a slight detour."

IC: Shark / Team Doublecross / Visorak Wilds

Shark whispered back quietly, using his powers to keep his voice contained nearby, "We should see who it is. If it's an attacking party we must return - we can outpace them, since we have been through here before but they have not - and warn our comrades. Or lay a trap for them."

IC: Silver - Visorak wilds

I nodded and readied my staff and started to make my way to where the sound had emanated from.

OOC: Assuming Shark's silent field is activated.

IC: Shark / Team Doublecross / Visorak Wilds

As soon as Silver nodded Shark reactivated the silence field and began to creep through the forest after Silver. His vision swept across the forest, searching for any movement or out-of-place colors.

OOC: Let's give Tirigath, Click, and Dragon a chance to respond before we do anything more, Aerixx.

IC: Shadow-Forest

Shadow Looked up, and motioned to move from their Position, before the enemys came to find the source of the sound.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

Her frustration and uncertainty seemed to vanish in an instant as Jayar made his explanation. "Let's go see who it is!" she burst out before running back into the school. She tried to slow herself down, but it was fruitless. She was too excited.

IC: Fang - Visorak Jungle (Team Backstab)

He wheeled around at the sudden noise. Of course it was the level two. Of all the...

He prepared his scalding remarks, and his mouth fell open only to snap shut again. That would only make things worse. For now, they needed to get away from here. He gestured for silence before wandering off perpendicular to their path. The enemy would be searching along a path to their base.

IC: Whakatio and Deadeye

Whakatio finished tying Deadeye back up. She then grabbed his neck and prepared to crush if he replied with the wrong answer. "Why did you attack me?" Deadeye laughed, his hands and legs shaking. "Because, maybe that would get Root's attention. I would love to get revenge on him, preferably his friend though, Root is too fun to kill." Deadeye said, his eyes mad. Whakatio nodded slowly and kicked Deadeye in the head again, knocking him out. She turned to Tube. "Shall we get him to the infirmary?"

IC: Bullseye/Courtyard

I nodded. That was better. He seems to still be troubled. Perhaps this wasn't the first... Then again, I wouldn't be surprised since there's a few crazy Rahks in this school. But I shouldn't treat him as such, for at least he shows some form of compassion.

"You say you don't have a talent right? Well perhaps we can work together to find you one. They do say that music feeds the soul."

There's some suggestive words for you.

IC: Tube - Library

Tube considered the unconscious Rahk before them. "No, he looks okay. He would be too heavy, anyway."

IC Kakarahk:

Kakarahk walked right up next to the Rahkshi with the bow and yelled as loud as he could. "HELLO!!! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?!"

OOC: That's Bullseye

IC: Bullseye/Courtyard

"Great Spirits!" I exclaimed as a Rahk rudely shouted into my ear.

"YES! I can hear just fine, you don't need to shout, for Karz sakes."

IC Kakarahk:

"Well, no one was paying attention to me. I wanna join the talent show. " Kakarahk pouted.

IC: Bullseye/Courtyard

"Well you don't need to shout. Metal says the show is free to all that have talent! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to help a friend."

IC: Vlad / Courtyard

"Feeds zer soul..." Vlad murmured... He'd had quite enough of trying to feed for the time being.

But apparently, Bullseye had a friend to help. "Oh, I'll get out of your vay zen," said Vlad, not wanting to annoy the Rahkshi of Accuracy further. He began to turn away.

IC: Jayar / Causeway

"Hey, wait!" Jayar cried after Hoto. He was excited too, but there was something important the Porter hadn't told them... "We don't even know where we're going yet!"

IC: Bullseye/Courtyard

"Oh no you don't, friend. You are coming with me."

I reach my hand to Vlad.

IC - Visorak Wilds

Little did the plotting rahkshi suspect that Caoutchouc had heard whispers of them as they had heard cracks of theirs. His increasingly powerful elasticity allowed for accurate, small-scale morphings. Such as his carefully tuned ear canals, granting him enhanced hearing.

He made a hand motion to Fang and Shadow, pointing out a spot for them, a spot he believed the enemy team to be, then their point splitting up and making a wide circle around the others.

IC: Whakatio

Whak nodded. She hung Deadeye back up where he was. "We need to find Legion, and get my guns back."

IC: Fang - Visorak Jungle (Team Backstab)

He looked back to see if they were following, only to notice Caoutchouc gesturing in a specific direction. Fang nodded and continued off in his path, though he began to curve around where the enemy might be.

IC: Hoto - Causeway

She pulled up short just inside the school with a sheepish grin. "Oh... of course," she mumbled.

She slowly returned to him, bouncing back and forth on her feet with excitement. "Where do we find our... guest?" she asked the Porter.

IC: Tube - Library

Tube began walking out of the Library with Deadeye forgotten. "He should be in here somewhere," Tube remarked. "I didn't see him get into the monster."
