IC: SalvinnIn his rage Salvinn barely realized he had a destroyed another tree, he was too busy drawing another arrow, this one was normal. "You are a creepin' out person!" He yelled at Soulgain, as he let the arrow fly towards the being.
IC: Lii"That's it!" Lii yelled, as she fired a concentrated beam of heat at Soulgain. "You are a Brakas!"
IC:Soulgain's hand whipped out, catching the arrow. It ignored the blood that slowly dripped from its fingers, the head of the projectile having made a small cut on the appendages."Incorrect syntax," it said, moving the arrow in front of the beam of heat, watching the projectile burn in its hands. "Failure to comprehend the lack of mental faculties trees possess."
IC: LiiLii fired again. "That doesn't mean you just go around, killing them wantonly!"
IC:Soulgain stepped to the side, watching the beam slam into a tree, which began to burn from the concentrated heat."You are ... hypocritical."
IC: SalvinnSalvinn fired again, "Salvinn no want creepin' out person, Salvinn no like creepin' out person's big terms. Salvinn head not okay. Creepin' out person, make tree and Salvinn not okay." Another arrow followed the first.
IC: Lii"It's not hypocritical, because it's your fault!"
IC:The two arrows thudded into Soulgain's arm. The being cocked its head to the side, and exploded into plasma, the entire area of trees dissolving and/or bursting into flames from the extreme heat of the fourth state of matter."Seventy-five thousand three hundred and seventy-eight."
IC: SalvinnSalvinn let out a feral roar and collapsed to the ground, as water contained to flow from his eyes, "STOP IT!"
IC:As soon as the plasma had been unleashed, it had stopped, leaving them in a circle of charred trees and scorched earth."Let the world burn," it said. "For there cannot be a new world of peace without absolute destruction."
IC: Lii"But in absolute destruction, there can be no happiness either!"
IC:"Happiness ..." it whispered in its monotone. "Such as fleeting emotion ... its only use to provide one with hope, only for everything they know to be crushed."If one were to look VERY, VERY closely, they would have seen a minuscule twitch within its left eye.
IC: Lii"But even a fleeting moment of joy is worth a year of misery."
IC:"Yet that single moment would not provide you with the experience of a year, no matter how miserable."
IC: Lii"No." Lii agreed. "But it would be the shining light in the dark. The good memory to keep you going through the bad."
IC:"Then tell me ... what if you do not have any?"
IC: SalvinnThe word stung at Salvinn, and he began to speak out load, his voice not the broken one the others were used to, but more akin to his old one. the one Septimus knew. It was as if, something else was speaking through Salvinn right now."Hope. What is Hope, why does it drive us so, why do beings hope? Is it to escape fear, is it to find happiness?" Ever so slightly, Salvinn's mark began to pulse, "It makes little sense why it is there, but perhaps that is its reason. To make little sense, because where there is Hope, there is no fear." "To live in a life of fear is to suffer, but with Hope one can push forwards, one can continue. Hope brings strength, it brings happiness. Hope allows us to survive, because Hope is what keeps us going. Sitting down to die, it only brings be fear, and is a waste of time, but with Hope, there is the small chance that we will continue, we will survive. And with beings filled with Hope, that's as good as a one hundred percent chance."The Mark drained away, and Salvinn collapsed, unaware of what he had just said.
IC: LiiLii paused, her face surprised. "Well, then you should find a way to make those memories. Find something you like to do. A favorite food. Friends."Lii stated at Salvinn. "The Karz?"
IC: [septimus]"What just happened?!"IC:"When your hopes are crushed," it said. "Then there is nothing."
IC:Mariko chuckled. "I appreciate your input Drae, but I was mistaken for Onua from a distance in deep snow. I guess my colour played a role as well, I do hail from a village of earth after all..." he paused a second, his thoughts on his old village, before continuing: "I doubt you would mistake my brothers and sister for any of your Toa Mata...you just need to take one look at Kehua and you'd understand. If we stay with the ILS, I think there is a nice chance that they will eventually hear about it as well. With a shadow so dark looming over everything, having allies isn't the worst thing. I hope the others will think the same and come here eventually."Then Drae turned to Atvin, who in turn dropped the most important info Mariko had heard all day. He could see that Draeverian was even more surprised by the news."It is good to know the Turaga are safe, but why are they here if they were rescued? What about the Koro, they need leaders." he asked Atvin.-----------------------------Aparangi nodded at Ziraul. "Good." After a few more minutes, the trio reached the gate to Pala-Koro. It wasn't too impressive as a gate itself, the Toa had seen far more imposing forts in his life, but considering that this had been built in a very short time, it was an impressive effort by the ILS itself."Hello there!" he called out as they stood in front of the entrance to the village. It sounded naive, but he just wanted the attention of whoever was playing porter for the ILS at the moment.OOC: Who is guarding the gate at the moment?"Ic: draverian Joskiir. ( I am typing on my new ipod touch. Let's see how well this woeks. Lol)"I guess you could say such things, but it's not quite that way," Draeverian grumbled as his armor clipped back onto its rightful place along his leg. Splashing his way back out Draeverian ruffled his purple hair back into place, tossing a light spray of droplets into the air--tiny stars glittering down to earth. "So, Mariko, you gonna' keep pace with these nomadic imbeciles? I'd think there's a better way to find your team, like asking around or looking for rumors of their names. If you were called Onua, maybe they faired the same."Draeverian clasped Rivet's hilt and started scruubing the steel with grass from the bank. "Well Atvin, what's your plan of action? All I know is how little these folks attract me. I'm not the kind of toa who kills for fun, and it seems we're surrounded by clowns with guns."He paused a moment to let his feelings sink in. "Maybe," Draeverian muttered, then sighed and went back to scrubbing Rivet.
OOC: No one really. Anyone mind getting that? Onyx is kinda busy at the moment.IC: Atvin"From what I've heard, the Turaga have been infected with an unknown parasite. Details escape me but it must be very serious if they're keeping the Turaga under their custody, especially without any opposition from the villages about this."
ICLaki took another sip of his tea. Auron was a rather odd toa. Serving tea to strangers he didn't know? That was practically Laki definition of strange. He heard a faint cry from the gate and glanced over. Nobody was there to manage the newcomers. "I'll get-open the gate," he told Auron and the Ta-Matoran. Laki stood up and strode over to the wood and steel gate.Laki peered through at the beings on the other side. They seemed friendly enough. "Great-welcome to Pala-Koro. What is your need-want?"
IC: Zacax"Anything I can do boss?" he asked the Toa of Air
IC: Mevi (Pala-Koro)"Wait for me," Mevi muttered, wandering after the Le-Matoran. She had been here longer, and she was part of the Ta-Koro Guard, so she felt a certain sense of superiority when it came to... well, guarding stuff. She nodded to Auron as she passed him."I'll have tea with you later," she said.
OOC: Writing in first-person is too boring >_>IC: Auron:With the sound of a voice and greeting, Auron turned and shouted back, "Hullo there! Want some tea!?"And in reply to the guard's parting words, he replied, "Joyous! We shall have tea later then!"
IC:Voriki followed the Le-Matoran out as he heard the arrival of new newcomers from the gates. It would be a good idea to check whoever these people are, he thought, activating his mask and quick-traveled up to the top of the village's metal and stone wall, he brandishing his trident down at the beings standing below. Best to be sure things won't turn out like yesterday."Friend? Or foe?" he said, the cliché making even him question his phrasing. Then again, everyone should say that at least once in their lives.
IC: Auron:When he saw the being teleport to the gates, he called out, "Hullo teleporting man, would you like some tea!?"
IC(Levarie Obed [Talking to Hograth and Zacax: outskirts of Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
"Well, it's time for the girl to work," the Toa of Air says to Hograth. "Sorry if I spoiled your free date, but you pay for another one tomorrow. She's off tonight for another date...not paid for, though," grumbles Levarie. The Toa of Air turns to Zacax and replies,"No thanks. Was that a friend of your's? Seems like a nice guy."-Mef Man
IC: Zacax"Oh yea," Zacax said, "If you want to die young he is your man,"
IC: [septimus]"WHAT HAPPENED?"
IC(Levarie Obed [Talking to Zacax: outskirts of Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
"Well, I'll make sure to talk to him if I need his services," Levarie jokes while sliding Zacax's glass toward him.-Mef Man
IC: Zacax"Yea," Zacax said with a laugh, "I hired him to help kill the big Nui Jaga, which was a success, but he tried to kill me. I shot him, he tried to kill me again when I got in Ga-Wahi, if anything, I should be seeking revenge, but I'm Bethany kind of guy. Hate skakdi...."
IC(Levarie Obed [Talking to Zacax: outskirts of Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
"Well, I'm sure he'll 'die off'," Levarie says with a smirk before adding,"So, is there anything I can get you? We have all kinds of services to please you here," the Toa states in a lower tone.-Mef Man
IC: Zacax"okay look, you aren't a girl, that low voice only makes things awkward," Zacax stated, "Maybe get someone like that matoran of lightning, it works better for a guy,"
OOC: No, it's a whisper. I meant whisper.
IC(Levarie Obed [Talking to Zacax: outskirts of Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
"What?" Levarie says. "Nevermind. Listen. If you want...anything just tell me, okay? I want to treat you to the best since you're working for me," he says in a whisper.-Mef Man
IC(Hograth): Hograth gave a 'meh' look at Levarie before turning to see if Sasuvree was coming.
IC (Desilix):Desilix walked out of the Wahi, happily headed to Ko-Wahi, not knowing of the damage and destruction that came in his absence.OOC: Desilix to Ko-Wahi
IC: Zacax"Why?" Zacax whispered, "No catch?"
IC(Levarie Obed [Talking to Zacax: outskirts of Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
(Susavree Nooma [Talking to Hograth: Le-Koro, Makuta's Revenge tavern])
"No, of course there's no catch," the Toa of Air says truthfully. "I just like to give my employees reasons to stay, you know?""I'm almost finished, then we can talk while I clean the rooms," Susavree says to Hograth before turning back to another table.-Mef Man
IC: Zacax"Alright," Zacax said, "Thanks For that," Zacax took a sip of his drink and walked back to the port, "Back to the ship,"
