IC: DromeWhat Kadon didn't know was that I already worked out, and my weight was mostly muscle... but I could use a bit healthier of a diet.It was not yet time to strike.
IC: KadonI sighed, turned around, and started dragging Drome again. "Mata Nui, Drome, what is it with you and putting on the heaviest piece of metal you can find?" I grumbled.
IC: DromeI almost chuckled. Heavy armor meant heavy defense, and that plus a heavy attack, meant victory.
OOC: Hubert, I had Incommodo botice him and use his Kualsi to jump onto the roof. He's just started talking to him. You may want to have some kinda reaction.IC: Ignotus"Excuse me while I address the others." Ignotus said stepping back into the cave."We are going to the Kumu Islets." he began, addressing the Mystix, "You will follow us to Le-Wahi, and then you will fly."He then stepped back out. "It is time to go." Ignotus began walkinng in the direction of the highway.
OOC: Sorry, didn't see that.IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak slowly turned around to see another being next to him, also watching the Turaga."Who are you?" he asked, hand slowly reaching for his dao.
IC: Incommodo"I'm Incommodo. Or 'Inc'. Or... Nevermind." Incommodo decided that, however often it was used, the last one didn't actually count."What do you think? Killer or not?"
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak paused for a moment, hand still gripping his dao."I'm leaning towards the former," he said. "But you still haven't told me why you're here."
IC: Incommodo"Apologies. I work for Dark C, too." he said."Now... If we're gonna find out what this guy's up to, I suppose there's only one way to do it."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak nodded, removing his hand from the hilt of his dao, before returning to gaze at the Turaga."Of course," he said cheerfully. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
IC: Incommodo"I hope not. It would be very unoriginal. Now, tell me what we know about him."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak smiled."He is related to a tablet placed on our employer, One-Man-Homicide-Squad's doorstep," he said. "It relates to something called NEX, which, according to the information I've gleaned from listening to his conversation, has something to do with killing people."
IC: Incommodo"Alright then." Incommodo activated his Kualsi, teleporting to behind Nex."Hello. I'm here about NEX."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak face-palmed at the sight of his fellow Investigator questioning the suspect in the most blunt and obvious way possible. For some reason he now knew why his employer thought everyone was an imbecile. If they all did this they made terrible detectives."I know I'm going to have to do something soon," he muttered, jumping over to the next rooftop, which was closer, so he could keep his colleague out of trouble.
IC(Agira): "Oh, how grand. Our grand leader, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to lead us out to the shadiest area of all of the island. What else is there, m'lord?"
IC: ArgentumArgentum stepped into the dimly lit streets of Onu-Koro, his 10 weapons sheathed. Perhaps someone here would know of something shady passing by.Nope. Nope, they wouldn't. The place was a shade itself. If Makuta was at a place on the island, it would be close to Onu-Wahi - where shadows were all around you.Still, he was heading north, so the closest would be to head through the tunnels, straight towards Po-Koro and the desert.OOC: Argentum open for interaction.
IC (Sentraken, tunnels): Sentraken spun around, his cape flowing in his wake, "Then let us make hast!" he exclaimed, marching in the direction of the Le-Koro highway.
IC: Nex"You are here about NEX? You mean the beings killing people across the island and leaving tablets?"He leaned slightly closer to Incommodo, whispering."You see, I'm a writer, and I've been writing about the recent string of murders across the island, where NEX tablets have been left. I've been sending my employees out to find the murders, and get any information they can."His face turned a bit pale."Please, don't let anyone know the subject of my book yet... I want it to be a surprise. You see, I write about deaths, murders, crimes... I guess that's how I got the nickname T'he Dark Chronicler'. I write the unpleasant things that no one else wishes to write about."
OOC: Hubert, please don't interfere. This is interception, not interrogation. No offence.IC: Incommodo & Ignotus"Indeed." Ignotus had reached the highway, and read the sign, in order to discover the correct direction. As they walked down the tunnel, he turned to Sentraken. "So, how is it you know of the Mystix? As far as I was aware, we were forgotten after our failed conquest.""Don't worry, I'm not here with authorities. I don't want to get you out; I want in. I want a job. I want to work for NEX." It was impossible to tell who Incommodo was betraying; Dark C Investigations or NEX.
IC: Gaea:As they walked along, Gaea created a tree/vine boat using the roots and a crude but watertight boat was made, trudging its way around on stubby feet.
IC: Nex"Well, If you want a job, you could head to Po-Wahi. I've read of a recent murder there."He raised an eyebrow slightly."See what you can find, and I might give you a job."
IC: IncommodoIs he playing dumb for me, or does he know someone's listening?"I don't want to investigate. By the way; You're being investigated by Dark C. They know you're here. I've got a job there. That fool actually hired me. I can get you information from them."OOC: Sure you aren't meta-gaming? You didn't do this to Zadron...
OOC: Yes, but NEX knew Zadron, he had information on Zadron. And you have not been very subtle at all. XD . Everyone else has been at least a little less blunt. Black knight went through the same thing as you... but you just blew it with that Dark C part.IC: Nex"That detective? Ah yes, I know him. He's a rather interesting fellow, rather... unpleasant. He doesn't seem very friendly at all."A thought seemed to cross his mind."Ah yes, this won't be the first time I have been investigated. It's one of the unpleasant side effects to doing my own investigations for my book. Others seem to get suspicious of my knowledge."He sighed, balancing on his staff, looking weary."But... if you could get information from the detective on the murders, and bring it to me for my book... well... I know that isn't exactly legal, but... I don't think it would harm anyone."
OOC: Not necessarily.
You see, if he can prove that he isn't loyal to Dark C, he might be a valuable ally. And I haven't explained where his loyalties lie.IC: Incommodo"I know you've been investigated before. In fact," Incommodo said. "The very person who investigated you is currently watching you, and listening to this conversation."
IC (Sentraken, Le-Koro highway): "You are the stuff of legend, where I come from. Few believe you to exist, but I, I knew of the stories origin. I currently have a small team at our current destination which was specifically designed to track down your kind and free you. Naturally I took the liberty of assuming you wouldn't kill me on sight, as is told in some of the stories. So far, most of my assumptions have been right, conveniently." the party turned a corner, passing a Matoran resting with his Ussal. These Matoran were vigilant and courageous, but they were still far more primitive than Vortixx. Mata-Nui didn't stand a chance.
OOC: But still... blunt is not the best idea.IC: Nex"They are? Very interesting, interesting indeed."He waved hello at no one in particular, seeing as he did not know the location of the being watching him."But I must inform that you are looking in the wrong direction. I had noticed a Toa nearby when I was going to speak to the detective. He might be of interest to you."
IC: Incommodo"Incidentally, there are also a few witnesses who saw you handing out tablets." Incommodo was aware this was untrue; At the moment, it was just a guessing game. Messing around with pieces of the puzzle 'til he found something that would fit.IC: Ignotus"It is good to know our existence is recognised." Ignotus said. "I would have killed you on sight, were it not for the fact you knew of our existence. It intrigued me." Ignotus noticed a bio-mechanical insect nearby. Using his magnetic powers, he set its right and left sides to opposite polarities, crushing the insect, which fell to the ground.OOC: Blunt is good when there's thinking behind it.
IC: Nex"I have not given away but one tablet, and it was a replica made from metal. It is not the same as those made of stone."He explained calmly."It allows those working for me to compare, and find which tablets are true NEX tablets, and which are fakes."
IC: Incommodo"That's not what the witness said."
IC: Nex"Then... I do not understand what your witness was watching, for it must not have been me."His eyes widened slightly."But... did they perhaps have a connection to a Toa of water with black, white, and blue armor?"
OOC: Delak, Minho and Skraatuth from Ta-Wahi. TDC, would it be appropriate if the group walked in on your conversation with Incommodo?IC: Delak / MinhoTheir trip to Ta-Koro had been a fast one and they were right in going there. They traveled through the dark tunnels of Onu-Wahi, the only light source being glowing plants or a few lightstones here and there. They shortly made their way into the city of Onu-Koro and began searching for Nex.Delak spotted Nex exactly where he had been last time they met him except he was conversing with another being. Because of this, the group stayed out of sight and earshot, sitting on a bench and observing the two from a distance."Looks like he's got company.""Mhmm...let's wait a little bit before we talk to him. Could be trying to get rid of someone..."
IC(BK): "Here I go. Lurking around an Island I have no idea how big or what enviroment it is." The toa walked towards the highway to Ta-koro.OOC: Black Knight to Ta-wahi.IC(Agira): "Oh, how very...ugh. Why did you destroy that...thing. It's left a horrible mess all over the cavern floor."
IC: [Arkrak]Arkrak was troubled. The being that had claimed to also be part of the detective agency seemed to be on his side, but also was helping the suspect. He had absolutely no idea if the other detective frequently switched allegiances or was just trying to get information. However, he needed to be careful, so readied his weapons just in case."This," he muttered. "Is troublesome."
IC: KadonFinally, Onu-Koro was in sight. I was beginning to wonder exactly how seriously I'd injured Drome. He hadn't stayed out this long in Le-Wahi, but I hadn't used electricity then...
IC: DromeOh, I was such a brilliant plotter.
OOC: Oh, come on! You're giving me nothing to go off of here! XDIC: KadonIdly, I hoped that all sorts of dirt and rocks were rubbing into Drome's back wound, and that it would hurt when he woke up.A thought struck me. Maybe Drome was pretending, like I had. I shrugged the thought aside. "Nah," I said to myself, "he'd never think of that." I chuckled quietly.
OOC: XDIC: DromeHe never thought I'd think of that, until I snapped free, and lunged at his head with a mean right hook."Suprise"
OOC: Oh, you fiend. You did it on purpose! XDIC: KadonAnd, once again, I was on the ground and groaning, clutching my head."You.... will.... pay...."
OOC: Yes, I did.IC: Drome"Bring it on sparkbrain, I'll smack you down before you can even surrender."I tossed my mace aside, this was going to be a fist fight if I had any say in it.
IC: KadonI didn't respond. I just stayed on the ground.I had too much of a headache to think about fighting.
IC: DromeI wasn't above kicking a foe while they were down.so I started trying to kick Kadon.
