IC: Vitesse
What was up with this Rahk? How could one be so innocent, so oblivious to the fact that they were nothing more than simple soldiers?
Or maybe he actually believes that there might be a meaning to life, she thought. Whatever the case, she was definitely interested in what went through this ones mind. After sharpening her knives razor-sharp and doing matinence on her bow, she listened to what others had to say.
IC Phogen: Phogen smiled and shrugged innocently. The best way to maintain the appearance of honesty was to say nothing untrue. "Believe it or not, I actually am a bit a musician myself, and thanks to a particularly generous donor to the arts, I have a small amount of funds to dispose of before returning to the academy. I acquired this particular meager payment as compensation for my skill a while back."IC: Jayar / Actor's Cradle
Jayar watched and listened as Phogen negotiated with the Skakdi for four tickets with a notable amount of skill and money. And not even a ticket for itself. Was it giving up hard-earned wages for them? Or was it even its money at all? Either way, to sway him it surely would be worth it, he realized...
Still, he stopped before proceeding into the building and said without frustration, "You didn't have to spend any of that money on tickets, you know. Veltorm's here to cover costs as need be. He could have payed, rather than you spending the your own money hard-earned by... Just how did you earn it?" he asked curiously.
IC: Zelnos | Malebranche
"Name's Zelnos... and you must be Phogen."
She smiled warmly, winsomely, giving the impression of a friend who would pull off an elaborate scheme for mutual benefit. "Indeed."
IC: Sidonas - Crawler
Sidonas lay on the Crawler, unconscious, with a broken left arm.
IC: Sanu
"Doh!" He Yelled as the whip hit his legs. "Oi! No-Eyes! That Hurt! I told you I Couldn't Come because I am Physically Unable to Come! Now, Seriously, You do Not want to attack him. Because he is in..." He was wondering whether or not to tell the truth, but Lies would probably end up in More Pain. "Because... He is in... Visorak Captivity."
OOC: Meanwhile...
IC: Vorzorak
Vorzorak decided to Walk Back to the Crawler, instead of the Village.
The Flag isn't Worth it. Why did I even still want to come Even after Suvak mentioned Visorak.
IC: Era - Backstab (Farsholt Village).
"Well, we have plenty of your teammates "in captivity".... unless that lazy Stronghold rahk let them out," I pulled Rattler back into my hand, "And now you're going to join them. Get up. Limp, or crawl if you have to. I'm not carrying you."
IC: Sanu
"But... No. I'm Doing Neither." He said, Then saying "Is, Escape, an Option?" He Said Starting to Crawl away from No-Eyes.
IC: Raith - Library
Yes, I really shall have to meet this Legion...I smile, and for once it isn't for the look of it.
IC: Torch - Halls
I near the Infirmary and notice a group of rahks - probably newbies - clustered round...
Huddled together like that...an easier target...
Oh, I thought I'd got you under control!
Hahaha, I'm uncontrollable - you shoulda learnt that by now. I pride mahself on it.
We can't just...burn them. Not here.
Hmmm--
Later, OK?
...hmm...fine.
I grin at the newcomers, realise I'm swaying slightly, and move on. I need to get to Nynrah.
IC: Era - Backstab (Farsholt Village).
In a flash of movement, Rattler went slicing through the air towards his outstretched hands. "No."
IC: Sanu
"Ow! Look, If your team has already pretty much won, Why bother Capturing me? Unless your going to leave me to the Oohnorak. Whats the Point?" He asked
IC: Vitesse
Vitesse noticed the Rahk smiling. She slowly grabbed her knives, as most people who smile here for no apparent reason we're either stupidly happy or plotting to kill you. She watched as the Rahk went away, then relaxed a bit.
IC: Era - Backstab (Farsholt Village).
"You're right," I paused, "I don't need to capture you. I can just interrogate you now, then leave you to the Visorak." I was kind of ashamed of how much I was starting to enjoy this assignment.
IC: Sanu
"OK, but Ya know, I Won't talk Because..." He took a Large Stone and Banged it against his head, then fell unconscious.
IC: Era - Backstab (Farsholt Village).
"I said I wouldn't carry you," I scowled, grabbing him by the leg and hauling him over to the nearest window. "I'll drag you instead," with that, I proceeded to push his unconscious form out of the third storey window and down into the street below.
IC: Shock
"Okay. Where to find a smith..." Shock said. He then noticed a weirdly colored Rahk ahead. "Oy! You! Got a question: Do you know a Master of FIYYYAAAAA- Sorry, Smith?"
OOC: that's Torch
IC: Sanurahk
Sanurahks Body Hit the Ground with a Crunch, but didn't wake up, instead Just Made a Few stones have a Little Red on them.
IC: Torch - Halls
I turn back to this flammable blue and white rahkhi.
"I don't know about "Smith", bit I am the Master of Fire..."
IC: Shock
"Wait, you burn stuff? Maybe Rahkshi? Cause I have a few names..." Shock said, all while smiling happily.
IC: Nightmare
Nightmare Jumped up and Slapped Shock "No. We Planned to Horribly Mutilate them, not Burn them, Remember?"
IC: Shock
"You never let me have my fun." Shock muttered, then louder, he said " Well, what if there is a giant crowd with him? We can't just hope they stay still so we can cut off some limbs. What then?"
IC: Nightmare
"We wait till there ISN'T a Giant Crowd with the Literahk."
IC: Torch - Halls
"Burning is way better than mutilation." I say matter-of-factly. "Although...mutilation can be fun too, I guess."
IC: Shock
"See? Alright, alright." Shock said after seeing Nightmares angry face. "But where are you heading?" Shock asked the Rahk who stood before him.
IC: Vitesse
Finally having enough with this group, Vitesse left heading for the gym, when she saw that same Rahk, with two others, one abnormally short. Mutilation? Burning? They really were Makuta's little angels. She had to listen in, to see what the karz that were doing. She went into a small room nearby, and listened in.
OOC: Not sure if there are any other official rooms, but it is a big school, so there probably are other rooms.
IC Vaalku
Well, with the tour becoming more and more chaotic, Vaalku decided to head to the library. Things weren't looking up here, and he needed something to read. Something non-violent.
He quietly dropped to the ground and snuck quietly away.
IC: Torch - Halls
"Oh, well..." I debate whether to tell this stranger, but he is obviously trustworthy and shares some of my interests, so... "...Icameoutofhibernationabouthalfanhouragoandwenttohavesomeslop(whichwasquiteniceactually)andthenIaskedShinwhereeveryonewasandshesaidtheywereonanassignment
butthenIrememberedI'dleftmyflamethroweronNynrahsoI'mheadedthere."
I draw a deep breath.
IC: Nightmare
Nightmare indeed had a very Angry face, He Almost Brought His Staff down on Shocks Foot, But he decided Otherwise, he Just Gave Shock a Very Mean Look the whole time He was Talking.
But then This Rahkshi Said This weird Collaboration of Letters. He Realized they may have some meaning, so he Tried to Pick it apart.
IC Vaalku
Upon reaching the library, Vaalku almost immediately left at the site of Deadeye. Yet there was another Rahk talking to him, so if he was lucky, Deadeye wouldn't notice...
He got to a chair, grabbed a random book off the shelf and began to pretend to be fully focused on it. The book was titled 'music in the ear of the Makuta'. It showed a varying number of instruments, some of them so bizarre it made Vaalku almost forget that Dead was nearby him. He was still trembling.
IC: Revenge-Hallway->Library
Revenge sighed. "This was a bad idea," he whispered to Rider.
IC: Booger-Infirmary
Booger wiggled his fingers. "They work! They work! Thanks Palma!"
IC: Melody-Hallway
Melody finaly came out of her room and slowly walked down the hall, heading in the direction of the Refectory.
OOC: Melody is open for interaction.
IC: Rider
Rider shrugged.
IC: Shock
"Sweet! Any Cordak blasters on Nyrnah with the flame thrower? Do you need coffee?" Shock asked.
Seeing Nightmare's face, he said "What? I speak gibberish."
IC: Nightmare
"I Guess you do." He Said, "But your not getting a Cordak. You'll Blow up the Library."
IC: Shark / Visorak Wilds
Shark remained impassive, though he wished Rain hadn't spoken of their intent. They'd have to go through Kat now, and that wasn't going to be easy. He activated his silence field once more, a precaution against other enemies being alerted to the inevitable approaching battle.
He also reached for a nearby branch of conveniently close to ideal length and weight to serve as an improvised weapon and held it out to Rain. Against Kat and maybe others, she would need it.
* * *
IC: Jayar Actor's Cradle
Jayar nodded. "Ah. Perhaps you could perform for us sometime," he told Phogen as he took his ticket. "Regardless... thank you."
He was somewhat disturbed at the gratitude he had just displayed towards Phogen. But he followed after Hoto, catching up with her and saying with excitement unmarred by this, "Let's go find our seats." Once more, he offered her his hand, along with a smile that, despite knowing she couldn't see it, refused to be suppressed.
IC: Shock
"Exactly. I see zero flaws!" Shock said, happy as can be. Bye bye books, bye bye Literahk, Shock thought.
IC: Vitesse
They were all insane. Great. That really put a damper on her day. Vitesse thought of what the electricity Rahk would do if he got a Cordak, and shuddered. She continued listening.
IC: Nightmare
He Needed to Discourage Shock from a Cordak. "Well Wanna know the Main ingredient in the Ammo? Flowers."
IC: Shock
"Well, I get to kill flowers too. So more win..." Shock said, grinning.
IC: Nightmare
"Well Then I have no Choice." He said, Activating his Fear powers on Shock, at the Same time taking out his knife, hoping it would have the Same effect as last time.
IC: Shock
"Wow. Why is it, when- KARZING FLOWER!!" Shock screeched, then retreated to the wall in horror. Unfortunately, he fell through a cracked open door...
IC: Vitesse
Karz... This could be bad. Vitesse backed up into a corner, hoping her armor would blend in with the shadow. She grabbed her knives, but kept them sheathed.
IC: Hoto - Malebranche
Hoto took Jayar's hand to let him escort her down the aisle. She just nodded and grinned up at him.
For someone who lives in sound, just the tuning was mesmerizing. She wasn't sure if they were late and this was the symphony. She glided down the aisles as if in a dream, nearly continuing on as Jayar stopped and turned towards their seats.
IC: Rain - Visorak Jungle (Team Doublecross)
The jungle around them fell into silence as Fins' field came up. With luck, there would be no interference this time.
She reached out and grasped the branch with a sneer of disgust. It wasn't anything like her staff, but it would be better than nothing. With preparations in place, she gave a silent nod to Thorns for her to make her move. Two on one, much better odds.
IC: Root - Visorak Jungle (Team Doublecross)
Our hero had fallen limp over his fellow's shoulders. The constant jolting was doing little for his failing constitution. 'Twas plain to see he did not have long now.
"Sh... Sh...Shield.." he moaned softly without opening his eyes. He needed his companion by his side.
IC: Punch+Counterpunch/To the Crawler
We were getting closer. I could feel it in my gut. Just a few more...
"Sh... Sh...Shield.."
He called out for Shield. I shouted so that Shield could hear.
"Hurry up Shield! Root calls for you!"
And to Root.
"We're almost there. Don't worry. We can save you."
IC: Revenge-Library
Revenge continued to lead the group on. "This is the Library, my favorite room. Here you can find information on any subject as long as you know where to look."
IC: The ever dwindling number of Rahkshi still fighting in the village of Farsholt were about to get an unexpected and unwelcome visitation. The Oohnorak scouts had noted that though the settlement's walls were falling apart there would be enough structure still standing to get a moderately adequate defence formed. It might result in an unnecessarily high number of fatalities.
So they'd come up through the Low Way.
It was exactly what they'd done the first time they'd taken the village, tunnelling under it to get beyond the walls. Worked just as well this time, and a flood of chitinous black armour started pouring out the catacombs, chittering wildly as they streamed through the buildings, seeking out anyone keeping watch over the walls to eliminate that threat.
The student's game had just become a full-blown war...
