IC: (Doc Verik)I quickly made notes of everything I had heard so far. The rest of the ILS would be interested to know of this information and so far I had gotten most of it without lifting a finger in harm against her."Alright, let's take a break from those questions. Are you hungry? I have some fruit right here, I'm not going to starve you, hardly seems humane." I said, before taking a bite out of ones of the slices of fruit, before finishing it and then wiping my mouth. I'd rather make friendlier relations. Besides the thought of torture was completely unappealing to me. She might have attacked us, but did that mean I should experiment on her like she was a lab rat? No, I could not bring myself to breach the ethical standards I held myself too.IC: Turok"One was named Verak, a Toa of stone I believe. The other I cannot remember, but she was female." she responded. "They are under the impression that Madrihk is here currently."
IC: ZykeZyke sketched the figure into the back of his map and showed The Detective."How's this?" he asked.
IC: The Detective"Should be good enough," he said.
IC:Frii'glokk arrived at the pala koro gates, and knocked. "Hello? is anyone in there?"
IC: Turok"Yes, I am somewhat hungry." she responded.
IC: ZaeronZaeron had a feeling that something wasn't right. He went over to a mailbox. "Another letter from Psyzhran," he thought as he took out an envelope. He took the letter out. He could barely read his writing, but from what he was able to glean out from the letter, it was bad. The Toa of Ice had gained much detail on the Daedra, but he had been detected and was now, if not captured already, in danger. Zaeron thought hard. He couldn't abandon Hanix, Zyke, or The Detective. But if he left his teammate to die, what would he have to say for himself? After mulling it over, he mailed the letter to Pala-Koro and then went back to the group.OOC: Someone in Pala Koro read Kumu-Islets page 90. Don't meta-game; just note the conversation and try to interpret it from an outsider's point of view; what would you have heard?
OOC:
There you go.IC: Zyke"So," Zyke said, "care to try one more time?"The mask is a powerless Kanohi Tryna, mask of reanimation.
IC: The DetectiveThe detective thought hard... Finally, he said "Edge's mask is in the shape of a Tryna."
OOC: I'd appreciate it if I could get linked rather than having to browse to the conversation I think you mean, but I guess you mean Vorex and the warehouse. I don't know what you want us in particular to say; take it to the Discussion topic or something. All I know is that I want Vorex to link us all to the IC recruition of said spies; and you to mention what the heck is actually written in your letter. Ambiguity on what actually happens IC is the death of RPGs, and whatever I walk my characters into, I want some OOC knowledge of, at least, if things are to happen. For example, in Ta-Wahi recently: If Longar hadn't edited the posters, then I'd have Naru go to the Tren Krom Break as was written at first instead of tailing him. OOC I know what he's up to, but IC we of course don't yet. We will know if The Pyro is introduced, since he actually signed the poster. But until then, it's some questions asked and some suspicions had.On another note, no one's recognized a certain someone hitting their head on Pala-Koro's wall.IC: Mevi"Wait a moment, who's that?" Mevi asked, nodding towards a form lying seemingly still against the village's stone wall. Someone else was knocking on the gate, but they would have to wait. Wounded people had priority."Hey, can I get some assistance here?" the Ta-Matoran shouted to the people inside the village. "We got a lot of new recruits and some visitors and the prisoners and now someone's hurt, I think. I'd appreciate some help!"She then jogged over to Lumira, and carefully poked the Le-Matoran in the side with her foot to see if she was awake."Hey, are you all right?" she asked.OOC: Someone in Pala Koro read Kumu-Islets page 90. Don't meta-game; just note the conversation and try to interpret it from an outsider's point of view; what would you have heard?
IC: ZykeZyke finished the once-headless sketch of Edge, adding the head and mask."There we go."
IC:Ziraul, seeing the Ta-matoran he had inquired of was busy talking with others, turned to the village at large and shouted,"Would someone mind giving me a few more details on the ILS and this village?" His sonic powers boosted the volume slightly, making his voice more noticible.
OOC: The letter starts here up until the post where he (Psyzhran) sends the letter: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=120&st=3560&do=findComment&comment=374134IC: Zaeron"Ok," Zaeron said. "What do we do now? Put up 'wanted posters'?"
OOC:I think, in the future, Constructman, you should actually write out what you send in your letters. That way you write with what your characters know and it becomes much harder to meta-game etc. by accident. It can also help the develop your characters.IC: Ziraul, seeing the Ta-Matoran he had tried talking to earlier call for help, went over to aid her. Perhaps he could get some answers this way. He moved to check the heartlight of the being she was tending.
IC: Zyke"No," Zyke said, "this is my bounty. This sketch..." he held up the paper, "...is so that we can recognize her if we see her."
IC: (Doc Verik)"Well here you go." holding out a slice of fruit for her to grab at. "Sorry about not being able to afford you the dignity of eating with your own hands but you did try to kill us."
IC: LathonLathon nodded, "Thanks." he said. He turned his emerald eyes upon the Le-Matoran Mevi had pointed out. Lathon walked over to the Matoran and nodded his head. "I am To Lathon." he said, introducing himself. "I was told you could help me quick-build a hut-home." he said, some of his old tree speak coming through now that he was talking to someone from his village. Lathon usually talked normal since he'd spent so much time in other parts of the island.IC: Mevi"We have the main barracks," Mevi explained, "though I don't know how much space there is left. There are a few huts as well. If you want something personal, you can build it, like some of our members have already done."She pointed at a Le-Matoran working on a hut a distance away. "Laki over there, for example. We got mostly stone and planks in our buildings, but he prefers a hut made Le-Koronan style."OOC: Map of the village found at the top of my blog post. If you want a brand new hut, please note me so I can keep the map up to date.
IC: Zaeron"But where will we see her?" Zaeron asked. "According to our psychometry scans, she-"IC: The Detective"-simply vanished," The Toa of Plasma finished for him. "The only way to discern her location is to explore the entire island. We have no leads."
ICLaki turned around, sloppily finishing up the knot he was working on. Laki was impressed by how much work he had accomplished in such a short time. Almost an eighth of his outer wall was done. But he looked up at the toa. The toa was tall, wearing a been Kualsi and mainly black armor. It was sleek and streaked with green, but came to points at certain places, making him look a bit vicious. Laki thought he looked vaguely familiar, but didn't think he knew him."Ah! Yes-much. I can good-build- I was a bridge tender in tree-bright Le-Koro. Would you like me to quick-build you a hut-home?" he responded cheerfully.
IC:"I shall ... take my leave," said Soulgain.
IC-Kal:Kal looked over DJ for a moment, before gesturing off in the direction of Verik's hut, or where he assumed Verik's hut was-it was the direction they'd taken the person with the Parakuka, after all.
IC:Frii'Glokk continued knocking on the gate. "Hello, is anyone in there?"
IC (Desilix):"Is there any way I can help?"IC: Lathon
OOC: thank you for responding Kal. However dj is blind Lolz. IC:Draeverian just shook his head while chuckling. Then he quickly rhymed;"I'm no great being looking down from above, but if there's one think I can't do is see your glove. I'm blind, hear that, but don't move I can compensate, so you better darn appreciate."With a few more tugs of his fingers the general nap of his surroundings shrank to a detailed image of the pointing toa. Nodding, he trudged by with a "thanks for standing still," leveled his direction. Draeverian meandered to the left, moving slowly on the uneven terrain. It took no time at all to pick up the sounds of a forge in the vicinity, something he was shocked to have not heard before. I'll come back for you later he thought then kept his pace. Spilling the beans on how he dropped a glacier wasn't exactly his immediate cup of tea. Calling on his reserves of charisma, he tossed out a question to his cargo: " so what brings you to pala-koro? My name'd DJ for your info."The duo reached doctor Verik's hut in a surprisingly short time, given a Toa was practically hopping with one leg in a cast, while a matoran was draped around the shoulders like a fashion accessory. Unable to really knock properly, Draeverian just made a mental apology then slammed his foot through the wicker door. "we got injured, sick, and -- whoa, who's the rahi?"
IC: LathonLathon nodded at Laki. "Yes I would much-like that." Lathon said smiling at the Le-Matoran. "I will care-help in anyway I can." Lathon said. "Here quick-take these widgets you deserve-earned them." he said offering Laki ten widgets for offering to help him build a hut. Lathon then turned to Desilix, "I'm not sure if he will need our help, but if you want a hut as well he's the Matoran for the job." he said. Already Lathon liked Laki, he reminded him of home.
IC: (Doc Verik)"Sorry lady...gonna have to move you." I replied and lifted the Ga-Matoran with a grunt and moving her to a chair. Sitting her up and then turning back to Draeverian. "She's one of the people that tried to attack Pala Koro obviously her group failed and I'm trying to be a good host...so what do we have here?" I asked motioning him to set the matoran down on the table. Pala-Koro kept me busy, kept me sharp, I guess it was one of the good things about it. People always needed someone to heal them. Unlike those Toa "Doctors" with their "Mask of Healing", yeah being able to magic away "wounds" meant they were doctors. They are hacks, how about they leave the real doctor's work to people like me. Who actually got training. It's just I don't like that, I feel it cheapens my job. The effort me and so many other doctors had to go through to get our license.
IC (Desilix):"My own hut would be nice, I haven't had a hut in a long time. I'm mostly a traveler, usually staying around Ko-Wahi. Don't get me wrong, Le-Koro is nice, but the hush of the snow in Ko-Wahi seems inviting for a Toa of Sonics. But of corse, there are the avalanches caused by sonics..."IC (Nawal):"Don't get me started on avalanches..." Nawal said, refering to the avalanch that froze him for 1,200 years.IC (Desilix):"Well, I think a hut would be nice." Desilix said, offering Laki ten widgets to help build his hut.IC (Nawal):"Well, I'm tired of having no widgets, is there any place around here where I can earn some?"
IC: (Akree)Akree walked towards the Toa of Green he spoke with earlier. The Toa was standing with a couple more of his kind and a Skakdi of Electricity. "Hey! I heard you talking about those murders at the tavern, and I got nowhere to go now. Thought I might as well see what I could do."OOC: Though it's blatantly obvious looking at the post, I'd like to join the investigation please.
Draeverian placed the matoran down on the chair, shifting his body to remain balanced as he did so. "I can't tell the affliction, so perhaps it's best I don't barge in," he replied to Verik quickly, then swung his head towards the hunchback of a matoran. "So you're from the gate, and I'm here like fate, what's your name little rogue, DJs mine take it or leave it, just be sure whatever you say you mean it."
IC: ZykeZyke grumbled and looked at Hanix."Can I...I mean we afford these other people joining the investigation?"
IC Laki smiled gratefully as he took the 20 widgets. The honorable thing, he knew, would be to give them back to money. However, Laki wasn't some toa and needed money. How else would he get it doing a selfless thing like fighting Makuta?"I would great-love to get quick-started. I am ever-sorry, I'll have to do this one at a time. And- oh! Much-apologies. I am Laki. What are you're names?" he asked, embarrassed.
IC: Hanix"We have several reasons why they should or shouldn't join," she said, "If we traverse in numbers we should be adage, but that also hampers getting to the murderer quicker. Whatever the case, if the killer had enough skill and strength to kill a Toa with the mask of Shielding, we best travel in numbers,"IC: ZakamaSeeing he was bored, Zakama got up and went to find Hanix. He felt like he should be with her, she seemed to know of his past.
IC: (Akree)"Alright, I'll tag along. I'm a decent tracker, and I know how to handle a Nui-Jaga or two." Akree told the two Toa. "Oh, and I've got an Ussal."
IC:Frii'glokk was angry that nobody was responding, but before he could ragequit, he realized that the part of the wall he was standing by was just that: a wall. The gate was about 50 meters to his left. He cursed silently before walking through the gate of pala-koro.
IC: ZykeZyke grumbled some more.
IC: Turok"Turok." she replied, thinking it best to tell whatever she knew.
OOC: I know I shouldn't get specific about these things but Kughii there's a table to place this matoran on. Verik set Turok up in a chair so he could help someone who was actually hurt. Also I need details to work with, I don't just like saying toss some stuff on, healed because that is really, really lame.IC: (Doc Verik)"Turok...has a nice ring to it." I replied with a half smirk before moving the matoran to the table. Was the Karz was I thinking? Well I was just being friendly but of course people always assumed that meant attractive. I was just trying to get her on our side. No one was really pure evil they just had bad things happen to them and they struck out against the world. That's what Turok was probably doing. "Well my friend, I need more detail than he's sick and injured. I can't diagnose and treat the problems without more information or I risk killing him."
Ooc: you'll have to contact emissary of the void for the afflictions. Though I think the matoran is burned and battered. Also, having played Riaril, I understand the need for nitpicky. No worries!Ic: Draeverian JoskiirHearing a clucking from the doctor, Draeverian realized he'd misplaced his cargo. With a Giddy feeling, like a child caught with a hand in the cookie jar, he moved the matoran to a slab of stone next to the trunk carved chair. The doctor mentioned the need for a list of maladies. No one gets it do they Rivet? Oh, why am I even talking to you anyways right now. Stubborn piece of scrap metal. Not able to really pinpoint where the table's surface began, Draeverian ended up dropping the matoran a good two inches, forcing a squeal of indignation. "my bad," he muttered under his breath. Shifting his attention back to the doctor, another one of those pipsqueak matoran he loved so dearly, Draeverian chuckled and rapped;"I can't really help with that. I'm a blind toa, so if I can't prod I'm a useless chap. If you're a doctor Doc, then why bother asking when you can see the prob, I ain't no help less you call for a snob."He leaned back into the cramped wall of hut, his spine conforming to the shake of the wall as he hung his head forward, the slightest sounds of gears twisting away in the sockets of his eyes where light normally shone. His pack he'd shed on the floor; whirly bird Rivet and all jumbled away in a corner of the round structure. Taking one of the pyramid studded earbuds from its shelter he deposited the gunk on the black travel cloak he had been wearing like a second skin. "Now correct me if I'm wrong," he quipped, " but your name's Turok, or did I miss some of it? Was it given at birth or does if stand for an acronym? Cause it ain't the kinda thing to get love happenin'." Draeverian gave a sly pull of his earlobe towards doc, which could have easily been interpreted as a wink.
IC: Zaeron"So... what now?" he asked Hanix and Zyke. "Where to start?"
IC: LathonLathon nodded, "No strong-worries my kin-friend." he said. "I have much-long patience." he said. "You may call-know me as Lathon." he said inclining his head. Lathon turned to Nawal, "Where do you plan on staying?" h asked.ICLaki smiled gratefully as he took the 20 widgets.
IC (Nawal):"I'm not sure. First I plan on earning some widgets. Know any quick ways to do so?"
