Corpus Rahkshi

OOC I need to go, just assume I am following the tour.

IC: Rider

"Nah. About half way. You only missed the infirmary." Claws was beginning to act strangely and was constantly looking at the bookshelf near them. "Whats up Claws. You afraid Cravix is gonna come and get us?" He said, stroking Claws' back to calm him down.

IC: Revenge

"Oh, I know where that is.  I looked into a room on my way to the Refactory, There was a wounded Rahkshi laying on a bed, surounded by several others."

IC: Omega

"I know. She told me." He said, impatiently. These loads were heavy, and Flash wasn't helping by nagging him.

IC: Flash

She noticed Omega's patience wearing thin. "We can start here if you want," she offered.

IC: Revenge

"Can I pet Claws?" asked Revenge.

IC: Rider

"Sure. Just don't annoy him. That mouth of his hurts."

IC: Omega

"Alright."

IC: Revenge

Revenge reached down to pet Claws, activating his density powers, just in case. "What are you looking at?" he asked the crab.

OOC: Just to be clear, he shifted to a slightly higher density  so he won't be hurt to bad if Claws bites him.

IC: Rider

Claws had whimpered a bit and looked towards the Book shelf in front of him. Rider loked where Claws was.

IC: Revenge

Revenge rubbed Claws on the head and than looked the same way as everyone else.  He thought he saw someone.

IC: Squid

Squid had been back in town for a while now, and had noticed several Rahkshi going into what looked like storehouses. He walked into one of them and looked in all the boxes and saw...

Nothing. The entire storehouse was full of empty boxes. He had just wasted time when others had already been there. Squid sadly walked back to the main plaza and sat down.

IC: Revenge

Revenge was getting tired of waiting.  He loaded his Zamor Launcher and pointed it at the bookcase.  "If someone is spying on us than come on out."

IC: Venge

Venge saw the others looking in his direction, though he wasn't yet sure if they were aware of his presence. The only useful information he had gleaned was that a Rahkshi had been injured, and he would have to look into that later. Weighing his options, he decided that it would be more advantageous to befriend them, at least temporarily, rather than stalk them, considering that they would be looking over their shoulders a little too often if he chose the latter. Then he saw one of them point a Zamor launcher at his head, which made up his mind pretty quickly. So, with little choice left, he stepped out into the open.

IC: Rider

"Why were you doing that?"

IC:Revenge

"Who are you?" Asked Revenge.  He was about done with the friendly act, even if he was the new guy on campus.

IC: Exxan.

Exxan spotted Squid and walked over to him. "Where have you been?" he asked curiously. 

IC: The Twins. 

The two not-confusion Rahkshi continued along the street and emerged into what appeared to be another square. "Exxan, you might want to come see this!" Silencer shouted. In the middle of the square was a large building. It looked like a church or temple. And it was covered in decorations. Not just festive ones, but religious ones as well. 

Without waiting for their team leader to catch up, the two Rahkshi made straight for the temple, readying their weapons. It was time to destroy Naming Day once and for all. 

IC: Xara. 

Xara continued walking down another street, dragging her back of loot in one hand and waving one of her swords around with the other, snagging clusters of lights, frying them with electricity, and yanking them down before tossing them into the sack as well. This was kind of fun. Simple, but with enough excitement to keep her entertained. 

IC: Venge

"..." Venge began formulating a lie. "Floor." he lied. "My name is Floor, and I am looking for somebody. Unfortunately, it seems you provide no clues."

IC: Squid

Squid heard Exxan's voice and got up.

"Well, I pushed the largest Naming Day Tree in this entire town over to Tridax and fried it. Also I showed him lots of worthy evidence before destroying it. I'm glad you are back, though. Soooo... what should I do next?" 

IC: Exxan.

Exxan was about to answer Squid when he heard Silencer calling out to him. "Good job with the tree. Now let's go find out what The Twins have found." He started back down the alleyway, walking past where he'd left Fang. He was gone now. 

Reaching the end of the alleyway, Exxan stepped out into a second square, one of several that likely dotted the town. 

"Squid," Exxan called to his friend, "I think we just hit the jackpot." 

On the far side of the square was a temple to Mata Nui, and The Twins were already hard at work tearing down the decorations strewn around it. 

IC: Revenge

"Well mind your own businesses, I'm done meeting people today."

IC: Rider

"Takes you a couple of seconds to realize your name huh? If you tell the truth I won't hurt you."

IC: Raptor

Raptor had just finished his book and looked up to see what looked like an argument brewing. Rider and Revenge were staring down some other dude, and it seemed that weapons were about to get involved. So he did the most logical thing to enter his mind.

"Hey guys, did you realize all our names start with R?! Except for you," he motioned at the newcomer. "Unless your name is Ricky.

OOC: Hey Roman, I thought you'd said that the twins didn't talk? Or was that only Illusive?

IC: Revenge

"Quiet!" Revenge snapped at the Rahkshi who's name apparently started with an R.  "You are off the hook because you have been tagging along with Rider, and Po, so don't push it. Besides this is a library!"

IC: Venge

"First... what are your names?" he challenged, trying to deflect any more questions.

IC: Squid

"Nice! Exxan- why don't you get up top and take down the decorations up there? I'll stay down here and collect them."

IC: Raptor

Raptor got up and, in a second, he was next to Revenge and Rider.

"My name's Raptor. If your name's actually Ricky, you owe me fifty widgets."

IC: Revenge

"Listen up 'Floor', if I catch you spying on us again youl learn why I chose the name Revenge."

OOC: Now would be a good time for Dralcax to reveal his true name.

IC: Exxan & The Twins.

"Alright," Exxan knew he was supposed to be in charge, but he actually liked it when his team members starting thinking for themselves. Squid was showing a lot of initiative, and Exxan liked that, and the fact that he wasn't holding a grudge for the assassination assignment, unlike a certain elastic rahkshi... Well, that just made Exxan all the more confident that he'd picked the right people for his team. But where the heck had Mar'jik gone off to?

Pushing the thought out of his mind for now, Exxan flew up to the top of the temple and started cutting the streamers and strings of lights loose, tossing them down towards where Squid was waiting. 

The Twins, meanwhile, had smashed their way through the boarded front doors and were now cutting a swathe of destruction through the church, tearing down statues, defacing carvings, and throwing any evidence they could gather into the makeshift sack Silencer was still dragging around. The few Matoran who attempted to get in the way were quickly shown the error of their ways. 

IC: Rider

Claws cowered behind Rider again. "I'm Rider." Rider said.

IC: Squid

Squid caught the streamers and lights and stuffed them in his bag as they came down. He heard the loud noises coming from inside the church and looked towards the source (or the wall between the source and him) frowning.

IC: Venge

Revenge? What kind of a name is that? It's not even original! he thought, slightly annoyed by the similarity to his own name. "Well, same to you," he said to Revenge. "So it seems we aren't so different..." He walked up close to Revenge, both confronting him and tilting the odds in his favor in case things got violent.

IC: Revenge

Revenge tensed, turning protodermis-solid, just in case.

IC: Exxan and The Twins.

Silencer gave the Matoran shouting at him a bemused look, before quickly summoning up a field of silence to shut him up. At a mere level two, he wasn't sure if the field would be enough to envelop the entire church, but since all of the angry locals seemed to be clustered around him, they were all right inside the effect, blessing him with blissful silence. He made a quick hand sign to Illusive, who nodded. 

Outside, Exxan had spotted a massive star-shaped decoration atop the temple roof, a framework of thick metal wires covered in lightstones. He stepped up to it, smashing it repeatedly with his staff to knock it loose. "Look out!" he shouted down to Squid, as the heavy metal object began to plummet to the ground below.

Back inside, Illusive took to the air, flying up towards the roof and slicing at the heavy chandeliers hanging from the church ceiling with his claws. His talons sliced the cords to ribbons, and the chandeliers smashed to the floor, showering the Matoran with broken glass, frayed wires and shards of lightstone. 

IC: Raptor

Raptor tried to break the silence by asking 'Ricky' if he had any widgets on him, but shrank back meekly after receiving dirty looks from both.

IC: Rider

Claws gave a sound similar to a growl when the Rahkshi came close to Ven. Claws knows when he feels comfortable with a person and this newcomer was not making him feel good.

IC: Following the village miser's advice Caoutchouc found one of the storehouses the village used for keeping its Naming Day decorations. Unfortunately, as some of the other students had already surmised, with all the Naming Day ornaments in place around the village there weren't many left in the storehouses. Out of determination and anger he tore through some of the closer boxes...

...and was rewarded for his efforts.

See, the usual tradition for Matoran was to gift each other with names that rewarded bravery, wisdom or integrity. But on Nynrah things were slightly different. Since almost the entire Matoran population was made up of smith or craftsman, even the ones who weren't the famous Ghosts, they rewarded each other in ways more in line with their trade.

They gave each other named weapons.

For a weapon to earn itself a name it had to be significantly more...special than others of its type. And where to store these gifts until they were given on the day itself? Why in the storehouses so recently emptied of decorations of course! Caoutchouc had managed to stumble upon a box full of the things by luck, splitting it open with a punch. A knife spilled from the tear, skittering along the floor to his feet. It was a short blade, long for a knife but not enough to be a sword, and with a slight curve to it almost like a boomerang. Matoran script was written along it, eight letters in total:               

Caoutchouc picked the kukri knife apparently known as Faithful up, noting how perfectly balanced it felt in his hand. Well...finders keepers!

OOC: Remember when I said you'd be guaranteed a reward for taking part in this assignment? Yeah, you all get fancy weapons, probably with special powers. Faithful, for example, can actually be used as a boomerang, and will actively seek to return to its owners hand if deflected or disarmed. You want your new toys then feel free to find another stockpile of them, I'll write up what you find and what it does

IC: Venge

Venge laughed, and turned his back. "You know, perhaps you three could be useful. One more thing, what are you doing here?"

IC: Squid

Squid jumped backward to narrowly avoid the falling metal hunk.

"It looks more like a weapon than a decoration, in my opinion!" He shouted up to Exxan.

"Hey, toss me down some more lights and then I'll take this stuff to Tridax, okay!"

IC: Revenge

"Deciding if I want to punch the person who just said that he want's to use me for something!"
